Lumia 625

Lumia 625 supports 4G network or not? It can show only 2g,3g networks only.how to use 4g network.

in this case, it may be a case of your phone being a variant that doesn't have 4G enabled. for example, there is no widespread 4G in your country, or that you have purchased a variant that is made for another country that doesn't have widespread use of 4G. in this case, you will need to contact your nearest Nokia Care location to ascertain what variant you have and if they have any restrictions on the provision of 4G for your phone.
also ensure that you have the latest firmware for your device instealled, along with the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store.

  • How to connect my Lumia 625 to my tv.

Just wondering if anyone knows how to connect the Lumia 625 to a tv,appreciate the help.

Hi, waydie. Lumia phones do not support TV-out feature via cable, but you can wirelessly show pictures and videos on your TV using the DLNA feature. You need to download the Lumia Play to app from the Store. More information can be found here: http://www.microsoft.com/en-us/mobile/support/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA136729.

  • Black Update for Lumia 625

Could someone help me? I have a Lumia 625 and I wanted to update it to Lumia Black. I always look at this website (http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/wp8-software-update/wp8-availability-in-asia-pac... to check tha availability of the update. I'm from the Philippines and the website says Black update is already available in Lumia 625 but I check for updates in the Settings and it just says: "Your phone is up to date. I bought the phone from UAE. What could be the problem with my phone? Please help me.

@Abi99 Good news! I think I got the update via the Nokia Software Recovery Tool because I'm so curious about the program when I last checked my product code. It says that I can install the update 3056.40000.1349.2001 ( I'm sorry I didn't took a screenshot of it from my computer because of my excitement) I followed the instructions and it started downloading . It took almost an hour before it completed the download. My phone started rebooting and then the Nokia logo was shown (with a red background and a status bar) so I thought it is already installing the update to my phone. It took 20 minutes to install. Again it rebooted and started like normal. My apps were wiped-out by the update. The initial setup also appeared (thank God I had a backup on the cloud). I went to the Settings>extras+info and to my surprise, it shows that it already runs Black update. Did I just did the right thing to update it via Nokia Software Recovery Tool?
(I'm really sorry that I wrote a lengthy explanation)

  • Lumia 625 "hangs" for 10-15 minutes and then resta...

    Hi,
Just purchased a new Nokia Lumia 625 on 27 August 2013. From the afternoon of 28th the phone would hang and no activity can be performed on it. After about 10-15 minutes it will start by showing NOKIA -> Windows Phone -> normal screen. This has happened four times since then. My concerns:
    1. How do I prevent it from "hanging"?
    2. How do I restart it when it hangs?
    3. Unable to remove the battery so as to allow it to reboot as the batteries are screwed to the body. By removing the battery it should be easier to reboot the phone.
    4. Surprised at this behaviour within 48 hours of purchase.
I shall appreciate a solution for this issue.
    Thanking you in anticipation.
    Regards,
    Rajiv K Khandelwal

I think its a common problem with lumia 625.
Same experience for me on a new phone brought in amazon.com.
Same day 10-15 times hanged and had issue with even restart. Screen gets dead and it switch off as it wish .
Night phone was on with full charge morning i saw it was switched off.
The worst part is replace did not happen in nokia care as it was purchased from net .
This means they dont support / replace if its purchased from other sources.
I was really dissaponted with quality and performance of product from nokia.
Better go for andriod device where atleast all basic things works. Micromax phones are far far far better than this.
I belive windows still in the reboot and restart mode, please come out of it and give some simple and working product.

  • Lumia 625 does not detect MicroSD cards, please he...

My Lumia 625 does not detect MicroSD cards when inserted.
    I have tried powering off/on.
I have tried formating them in my PC.
I have updated my phone to 3050.0000.1334.0007
    I have tried a Kingston 64GB SDXC Class10
    I have tried a Sandisk Ultra 64GB SDXC Class10
I have tried formatting the cards in various ways including exFAT / FAT32 / FAT64 etc.
The only progress i made was when i tried formatting in NTSC and after inserting the card i recieved a message saying "incomattable formatted card inserted, do you whish to format the card in a compattable format?" After choosing yes, the phone formatted the card and then the card was undetected...
This was confirmed by checking the card in my PC, which confirmed that the card had been formatted using exFAT, which i believe is the correct format for the phone/card.
Clearly the phone is somehow detecting and writing to the card and the card is functioning properly, except that the phone does not detect that the card exists as expanded memory and will not allow me to use it.
Any help with this would be really appreciated!
    Becoming quite frustrated now...

    Hi Pepperami33,
Have you tried to perform a reset? It will delete all your data so backup is required. See this link: http://www.windowsphone.com/en-us/how-to/wp8/basics/back-up-my-stuff for the steps on how to backup your files. After creating a backup, go to Settings > About > Reset your phone.
If the reset will not work, it is best to have your phone checked by our care point. Visit www.nokia.com/support for more info about the repair process.

  • Lumia 625 dosn't connect to my W7 computer

I have connected my Lumia 625 to my Windows 7 computer via the short Nokia USB cable. However, the W7 Explorer doesn't see it despite the usually beeps when I connect the phone.

I managed to connect to one of my W7 computers but not the other, many thanks.
But what is Nokia/Microsoft thinking of? An installation procedure if I want to look what I have stored on the 64 GByte SD card in my Lumia 625 (I have 30 years of work there). At least I might be lucky to find a computer to check what I have on the SD card, presumed that the owner of this allows me to do the necessary installations. What do I do if I get a request of some material I have on the card and want to email that? There is no way - i.e. a decent file manager - as far as I can see to find a specific file, which is not picture, game, video or muscic file.
I bought the Lumia 625 because much bang for the buck, the maps, and, as I thought, good integration with Windows computers but it seems that MS is only interested in people playing games while listening to music. Still, there is is a pretty large business community out there, who are trying to use their phones as a business tool.
One of the complaints of Windows phones is the lack of apps (Is it a coincidence that it was Apple, which promoted this term instead of the old "program"?) compared to the million or so for iPhone. The thought is staggering if W-phones would have the same number. Just wading through icons after icons trying to find som suitable apps. I can read as well as write and why not short description of the app and a good search filter.
For me MS seems to be a losing, me-too company, far behind Apple and Android. Poor Nokia people now when MS has taken over.

  • Lumia 625 GDR3 Not getting Lumia Black

    Hi,
I updated my Lumia 625 3 weeks ago to GDR3 and it was supposed to update to Lumia black as well. However i didnt get the black update. the extras+info still shows amber however i received all the GDR3 options like screen orientation lock and closing the apps with the x button in multitasking window. I attached for you the screenshot of the "About Phone" showing that i have the latest OS version which i compared with my other Lumia 925 and it is the same.
I've been trying to update in "Phone Update" for the past weeks and it is always showing that my phone is up to date. iI also checked nokia support page for my country Lebanon and it is showing as available. we do not have any carrier branded phone here so it is a SIM free phone.
    Please help!!!
    Thanks,
    Ralf

    Hi Ralfyyy,
Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
You are right. You're Firmware Revision Number suggests that you have the latest software version for your handset. Is your System apps up-to-date? If you haven't, you can scan the codes here: http://discussions.nokia.com/t5/Pool-of-Knowledge/Nokia-Windows-Phone-8-App-Updates/td-p/1640082

  • Lumia Denim available for Lumia 625 in Sri Lanka L...

My Lumia 625 is not updating to the latest Lumia Denim. It's currently on Lumia cyan. When I go to the update option and check for updates it says "phone is up to date" and I'm using a wifi connection and my phone has 1.50 GB of space available, my friends have updated their 625 to denim but I am unable to. Please resovle. Thank you

In the Software Recovery Tool, what is your 7-letter code (Product Code: 059…)? No Windows computer or USB: The same code is printed on your phone. That code determines your firmware variant which determines your current version. We can check together what is up with your variant, only with that code.

  • Volume level on Lumia 625 changes by itself

    Hi,
On my Lumia 625 I preset the volume to a number (as you do) and after a while it changes to a lower number by itself. Is there any way I can make sure this doesn't happen?
    Thanks.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

As of now, there is no setting that would lock the phone and totally prevent from pressing the volume keys. Anyways, you may try to send your request here: https://windowsphone.uservoice.com/forums/101801-feature-suggestions.

  • Lumia 625 Apps wont connect to the internet

So i have just purchased a Lumia 625 as a replacement phone untill upgrade.
For some reason none of of the pre installed apps or ones i have downloaded will conect to the internet, this includes, Amazon, Facebook, MyEE, LloydsBank, Barclays Bank
I either get a variety of messages, depending on the app, advisng there has been an issue, there is no internet connection or the app just refers me back to the first page of the app.
I have tried a hard reset and still no luck, am i missing something simple here before i take it back to the shop?
    Thanks

Hello, Kelvmw. In addition to adrianhughes' post, what connection are you using? Have you tried toggling between cellular data & WiFi? Here's how-to:
Settings > mobile + SIM > Data connection > On.
Settings > WiFi > WiFi connection.
BTW, it would also help if your phone's software is up to date: http://www.nokia.com/global/support/software-update/wp8-software-update/. Keep us posted.

  • Glance Screen for Lumia 625

Hello. I just bought this monster phone, the Lumia 625. I'm kinda wondering why it does not have the glance screen on it? Is it available for installation?

    Why is it so crucial?
Well, as far as I know any other mobile phone manufacturer doesn't have that feature so that's really setting those Lumia phones apart from other phone models, whether it's iPhone or Android.
I'm almost happy with my Lumia 930 and Icon but there are two mistakes Nokia did when they released those models:
    1) glance is missing. OK, it would've costed more money to order those kind of displays from the subcontractor but it sure would've been worth every penny even though the phone would've been more expensive. Just look at the prices of iPhone 6. Just would've had to set the price below iPhone (to gain more market share within global mobile phone market) and advertise the glance. That's a brilliant feature and I miss it. But like they say "minimum effort, maximum gain"...
    2) 41MP camera and xenon flash. Should've Lumia 930 been equipped with the similar camera & flash & glance like Lumia 1020, it would've been the greatest phone Nokia has ever released. Bigger display, quad-core processor etc. compared to Lumia 1020.
I sincerely hope Microsoft would combine all those aforementioned great features in one of them future phone models. Until then, IMO Lumia 1020 is the best phone Nokia/Microsoft released. 41MP camera, xenon flash, glance and the one of the easiest phone models to replace the screen/display if it gets broken
