Lumia 630: Removing microsoft live and facebook co...

I lost my Lumia 520 and had to buy the 630 model (which I think is a lot worse. It got rid of the side camera button,the camera has a weird yellow shade, etc. etc.) Anyways, all of my microsoft contacts and facebook synced automatically in my contact list. On my 520, I know there was I way that I hid these contacts/ didn't display them in my contact book. I can't find the option on my 630. I wish to remove both my facebook contacts AND my microsoft live contacts from appearing in my phone contact book. How can I do this?

Microsoft Password and Facebook Help on Nokia Lumi...

My Nokia Lumia 928 is constantly having problems with my password for both my Microsoft account and Facebook. Every time I enter my Microsoft account password, it says it is syncing and then says "Attention Required". I have logged on my computer successfully with the same information. I even changed my password on my computer and entered it on my phone. Still no success. I have also reset my entire phone. Nothing has worked.
Facebook has had the same problem except it accepts my password in the "Email and Accounts" settings but when I go to messages and scroll to "Online", It says the password is incorrect and please go to settings to fix this. Yet it says people are online and I can talk to them If I press Cancel. But I can not recieve messages. Only send them. It syncs successfully in the "Email and Accounts" settings also. Pleas help as this is driving me up the wall. I have never had such a simple problem with a smartphone.

Bing and Google and facebook are not welcome. They have this huge bluster of entitlement. If i wanted them I would invite. It is like if I sell you a product at your door and instead of thanking you and leaving I barge in and insist you buy something again and again. To top it off I refuse to leave and apparently the law is on my side. I dig in and sell and push and crush even any attempt for you to just ignore me. I am a one percenter (1%) and I am fully entitled to take and take because life owes me a living. Sorry 4 the soapbox.
What I want is a Firefox browsing experience minus the above. Will I need to learn code to mold my own UI?
I greatly appreciate any consideration.

Google pays Mozilla to be the default search engine, but you can choose a different one. The method for changing it varies depending on how you search:
(1) Search bar/search box: simply choose a different engine from the drop-down list. This also governs the searches from the right-click menu for text selected in the page.
(2) URL bar/address bar: you need to manually edit a setting (keyword.URL), and for that you need the URL to submit your query (Startpage.com example: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/921844 wrong search engine opens unless I use alt-tab]).
(3) Home page search box: you need to manually edit a setting, and for that you need the URL to submit your query (DuckDuckGo example: [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/questions/934785 Can you change the search engine from Google to something else on the Firefox default home page?]).
If you have a preferred search engine, someone might be able to give you more specific pointers.

Yes this could vary by region and operator and if device is locked,but go to settings-mobile and sim-turn on data there then go to sim settings,you will see the screen below

Very happy overall, but noticed this minor problem with the Google Mail icon being the "default" email one when pinned as a live tile...
Anyone else noticed this or have any ideas?

I have the soIution to my own problem. I just assumed when I got my nokia 520 that you go in the store and get the app "gmail".         Now I know. If you have gmail, go to your start screen and select "settings" and then touch "email+accounts".   Then touch the "google option". Click accept and a beautiful transparent t

The lumia 630 uses Windows Phone 8.1
Firefox is only for desktop Windows, Mac OSX and Linux, for mobile Firefox for Android 2.3+ and the Firefox OS.
I have seen no plans from Mozilla to make Firefox for Windows Phone as it is due to some Microsoft restrictions and Mozilla is busy enough as is at moment anyways.

Microsoft office lumia 630

Microsoft Office will not open on my Lumia 630 phone. When I tap the icon I get a message saying "something's wrong. We encountered a problem and couldn't complete this task. ok" Can anybody help? Thanks.

Welcome to Microsoft Mobile Community. About your concern, when did it start to happen? Were you able to open other applications with no issues? You can try rebooting the phone by pressing and holding the power key for 15 seconds to further isolate the concern. Note that this process will not delete any personal data saved on the phone, but be sure to set up the date & time after. We look forward to your reply.

IPad connected to Microsoft Live mail. Messages deleted in Live website do not sync and delete from iPad.

My iPad 3rd Gen running iOS 7. It is connected to Microsoft Live email, and I have it syncing 30 days of messages. I frequently use the outlook.com website to read and delete messages. When I look at my iPad inbox, the messages remain even though I have already deleted them in the website. This behaviour persists whether I am on Wi-Fi or cellular data.
Do I have a configuration set incorrectly, or is this a known issue with MS Live?

My experience is with hotmail not live mail, but might be something to look into. I had to go into the options of my hotmail and enable the ability for the device to update mail. Prior to that, I'd have to delete the same mail off my iPod and iPad, but after I enabled that I could delete off my iPod and have that reflected on my iPad.
So maybe poke around in the settings for live mail and see if there's a setting to allow your devices to delete from the server.

Lumia 630 bugs and defects.

I am using Lumia 630 since last 4/5 months but now i am feeling some major problems . I am listing the problems below. Please help me to resolve then. And please tell me solution other then hard reset cause its not possible for me to re-download ask my software after hard reset. I have more than 60 software installed. And i don't have a Wi-Fi to download them again. The problems are:
1. The folders of WhatsApp photos are not showing in the photos section. Though the WhatsApp photos are in the picture folder in sd card. They are not showing in all photos also.
2. Not even a single song is showing in music section . But other third party software are showing them.
3. The .xap files are not showing in store . In the install local app section only few software are showing but i have many other .xap files also.
4. While calling with headphone plugged in i could not able to change the volume of headphones. It's always remain on full volume.
Please help me to solve these problems. I am facing many problems. And its disappointing me. During first 2/3 months it was going ask right and none of these problems were there.
Please please help me to drive these problems. I have already tried hard reset many times but after 2/3 days it again showed the same problem.

And please tell me is there any option to back up my software so that i could try hard reset again.

Lumia 630 and treasure tag problem

Hello,
I justa purchased a tresure tag WS-2 and connected it to my Nokia Lumia 630.
Bluetooth on my phone is on. I can setup the tag (i.e. name it).
Software seams not to work properly.
When i get away from the tag, the tag makes the sound, but my phone doesnt make any sound nor any written notification. Also there is no option to locate the tag in the Here map.
Any suggestions or similar problems?

Option show in map does not appear at all.
All notifications are set "on"
Do you think my location may be an issue?
I am in Greece and the phone is set in greek.
Edit: Demonstration works fine. Both tag and phone make the noise

Hmmmm...maybe try deleting them again (I know it's a pain) and then doing a manual icloud backup (unless you already did this). Icloud may be putting them back on there. I never allowed FB to put the contacts on my phone lol. Also try going into Privacy and Contacts...make sure FB isn't on in there. Might be a few other spots to check under settings to make sure too. And...you might want to try deleting the FB app, do a icloud backup, and then reinstall FB

Lumia 630 and saved maps On a microsd card

hello all,
I am currently using a lumia 630 and i am having the following problem... I travel a lot around europe and i want to have all the map information about europe installed to my phone. The problem is that the phone's memory is limited and if i download all the information i want there will be no space left for anything else!!! Is there a way to download all map information to a microsd card???

At the moment there is not. I use the 630 as a secondary phone and would love to use it for Maps but just like you I hit the memory problem. I have all maps stored in my 1020, but that can't maintain battery for long journeys. Until they change it so that maps can be stored on memory card, the phones with 8GB memory are not good options for serious map users.

Hello. I have noticed some very annoying adware/malware/bloatware, whatever it is called. I can not seem to get Google, Yahoo, Twitter, and Facebook off of my computer. When I go to empty my cache and cookies etc from Safari these websites come right back into my top sites. What gives? I don't use these sites. How can I get this garbage off of my computer and keep it from coming back? It's like a virus or something with how annoyingly persistent it is.

I’m still confused.
I installed my new Windows 7 SP1 system on the 5 November 2013 and Windows Update subsequently offered a number of updates to .NET Framework 3.5.1 which are all successfully installed.
KB958488, KB979900, and KB982526 are all old updates now and, with the exception of KB958488, have never been offered by Windows Update and are not installed on my system.
As mentioned in my original post, KB958488 is installed on my system but I believe that it was installed without my knowledge by the installation of the Mouse and Keyboard Center or possibly by .NET Framework 4 Client Profile.
If Windows Update had independently determined that my system needed or could benefit from KB958488, your post appears to suggest that Windows Update would have offered
KB982526 instead.
And, of course, I still have no explanation as to why, if KB958488 is an update to .NET Framework 3.5.1, all its files appear to belong to .NET Framework 4 and my update history believes it belongs
to .NET Framework 4 as well.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
* "Clear the Cache": Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
* "Remove the Cookies" from sites causing problems: Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of the add-ons is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
* Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
