Lumia 635 on Skype?

My current phone is the Lumia 610 which apart from Skype being pulled off of it for no good reason (when I had it, Skype worked well). I am looking at a new phone which will likely either a Lumia 635 or Moto G. Given the complete disaster of Skype/MS on the 610 I have no desire to assume that Skype or MS have the clients interest at stake and therefore take a duff phone again. Can Moderators to this Community tell the Community whether Skpye supports its product on the 635 and will do so for the foreseeable future (like 24 to 36 months)? I would also very much appreciate hearing the experience of other members of the Community with respect to the 635, particularly as it pertains to Skype.

Hi All,
As the title describes, we have Exchange 2003 estate with ActiveSync configured, have an issue with two user's account on a single server, with Email's not syncing past the 27/02/2015. Added both accounts via the same method to my iPhone and they sync perfectly,
just won't sync on any of the Lumia 635's, tried it on 3 of them. No error messages, just the phone syncs for a long period of time before stopping and saying "Not up to date".
Please can anyone give any pointers on where to start looking for the root cause?

One thing that might help.
If your primary server is hosted by your company, double check the outgoing settings.
Host Name:
Use SSL:
Authentication:
Server Port:
If it zips through your primary server without effect, try turning the primary server off and one of the secondary on.
If connected to Edge or 3G, you can use ATT's SMTP server.
If issue still persists, then set up a gmail or yahoo account to test with.
Both are free email services.
If still fails, then general troubleshooting might help.

You might need to reset and or restore the iphone to resolve any software issues.

Cannot activate cortana on my Lumia 635

Hello folks, since some time I own a Nokia Lumia 635 with windows phone 8.1 update. Actually I try to set up the phone and I tried to use cortana. When entering the app it tells me not to know my language. The settings for German are made as requested. When
I go to settings ->Apps and open cortana it is not running. Unfortunately I can not start the app. Tapping on the enable-sign has no effect. cortana is still disabled. Looking forward for your hints. Thanx in advance.

Lumia 635 Bluetooth problem - Advanced Audio Distr...

I have Logitech Bluetooth speaker X100, http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/x100-mobile-wireless-speaker?crid=1537 which supports Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP).
I am able to connect an existing Lumia 810 to the speaker and stream music.
I have a brand new Lumia 635, which is supposed to support Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) - see http://www.nokia.com/us-en/phones/phone/lumia635/specifications. But when I turn on the phone's Bluetooth, it cannot even find the speaker. What is wrong with the phone?

Hi gabyzune,
The speaker must be in pairing mode to be visible on the phone: Hold down the Bluetooth button on the side of the speaker until you hear a tone. Then find and pair the speaker on the phone.

Is it true the Denim update is being released?

This is what Nokia told me to use to update the phone to Denim. I have not tried it due to not being able to get a good answer on how it will update the phone. Will it update to the latest version released by Micorsoft or by AT&T. Seems to be some confusion on just what AT&T intends to do about updating the Lumia 635 but everything I have read is they will have to update the phone it they intend to upgrade to Windows 10, which is what I am waiting for to see if I like using a Windows phone over Android.

Wireless Charging for Lumia 635 is it compatible o...

At the microsoft store online I found a Wireless charging stand that says it is compatible with the Lumia 635.
So, clicked on the chat function to ask if that was true and was told that she did not know the answer to my question and then gave me a link to some tech answers person who also had no answers. How difficult should it be to find out if my device supports Qi wireless charging? It says that my device is compatible but I don't always believe what I read especially when it comes to spending $70. Really disappointed that I wasted so much time talking to people who could not answer a simple question, does my device support Qi wireless charging and if so how would I know? Is it available for the AT&T version? If is not why do they list it as a compatible device? So far my experience has been pleasant with my windows phone and non-existent with windows phone support. Couldn't even find an email address to write to get answers or to complain about their (Non) Tech Support.

I had no problem with PC suite with my C3-01, but trying to connect Lumia 635 and all I get is "connected in non-compatible mode" Does anyone know how to resolve this please?

Microsoft OneDrive was still named SkyDrive in Nokia Suite 3.8. It is the same, indeed. SkyDrive is hidden in the menu bar of Nokia Suite; do you see it?

You can, but not from the phone UI. Connect to a PC or laptop and you can rename the phone via Windows Explorer. Simply right-click and select "Rename" from the pop-up menu as you would any folder or file.

Cannot get windows 10 phone on my Lumia 635

If anyone can explain to me why my phone can't get it, it would mean the world to me.
Obviously I have a Lumia 635, it's a sim free or "country variant" version, I'm in the 3 network and have a windows insider AND a windows developer account. If my eyes are not deceiving me, I should be eligible to update using preview for developers
or windows insider.
One slight problem, that's not happening.
Any suggestions as to what could be happening?

Toshiba didn't put it there, Microsoft did! Lots of folks (including me) are successfully running Windows 10 on machines not supported by Toshiba. You just have to be ready to put some time and effort in solving whatever problems occur on your own.

I have the GoPhone Nokia Lumia 635. I have never gotten the last 2 updates. How can I get the latest to Denim?

At this time, we do not have information regarding a release for Denim on the Nokia Lumia 635 for GoPhone models. One of the requirements to install this update is that all previous updates have been installed. Do any updates show as available when checking manually?
From the Start screen, scroll to and tap Settings.
Scroll to and tap Phone update.
Tap Check for update.
The device will determine if new software is available, and begin downloading the software update.
When complete, a completion message will be displayed.

I have just purchased this Lumia 635 and I have some ringtons sent to me from a friend by bluetooth and my phone excepted them but I do not know where they are stored. Hello, sebika. Welcome to our community. The Lumia 635 doesn't support Ambient Light Sensor, but it supports Proximity sensor. A touch-based and not an optic sensor. Let us know if this helps.

Push notifications are not working Nokia Lumia 635

Please someone help me!! None of the notifications on my Nokia Lumia 635 are not working, the only ones that are, are sms and call, other than that the notifications for the social media apps are not working, like Facebook, Messenger, Kik, and Instagram, etc... I'm connected to the wifi and my notifications are on for those apps. PPPLEASE HELP

Hi nokia. I'm experiencing the same problem as ,@charmlo except my notification+actions show that they are active, and that Im supposed to be recieving notifications, but I don't receive them. I'll have to open the app before I actually receive any notifications. I made sure my time settings are up date, and my apps are updated. What do I do?
