Lumia 710 browser Nokia xpress and opera mini

Is it possible to install opera mini on lumia 710? and what about xpress? does it work?

Windows Phone 8 is required for Nokia Xpress …
For Opera, only Opera Link works …
Anyway, why not using UC Browser …

Hello everybody.
I buy Nokia 6267 very good phone. For default i have installed Opera mini version nokia_s40_3 all v.2.0.7346, 20070402. I receive automatic settings from my operator (Globul) on Bulgaria for wap via GPRS and with Nokia application for browsing the net i have not problems - opening wap site and etc, but when I try to go to web sie with Opera mini I receive error of connection. How to set-up Opera mini for opening web?
I have this problem and other java apps used net.

I install Opera mini v4.0 but have same problem. When i started ask me to allow internet connection for this app I answered Yes, but again receive error...
Maybe have problem with access point? Because i don't know what happen and how is configured my phone when i receive and save automatic settings from my operator. 6280 and opera mini

I have tried using Opera mini on my phone as I want to browse web pages more than what my phone will allow. However, I have downloaded all the connection settings (various times and in various ways) and still whenever I open the opera application It will never connect. Guys, I am living in holland and Lumia 710 and Nokia 700 cost almost the same.
What phone should i get?

I would agree with Psycho, but would try to have a play with both in a shop, and try the features you use most often, I find Windows Phone to be much quicker as an OS and web browsing, messaging, mail and social media are better on it ! Plus Windows Phone is the 'Future' regarding Nokia Smart Phones ?
But in the end, it's all down to personal taste and requirements, I still like my E7

Problem in whatsapp and opera mini

after upgrading to that version of whatsapp in which new smiley's were added i am facing this problem. I cant send and recieve images or ne media through cell network but it works through wifi , but before that update i was able to send or recieve media but now i cant . In opera mini i am facing problem that i cant watch videos online it says connection failed and its same while initialising whatsapp i have to initialise whatsapp using wifi because being connected to net it says connection failed ......plz help me ....i m xtrmly annoyed with dis

C3-00 @mail and Opera Mini worked in South Amrica ...

I purchased a new C3-00 in the UAE - I took it to South Amrica and bought a local Ancel SIM. Opera and @Mail worked well, I could check Yahoo, Hotmail and Gmail using the wireless router I had there.
I came back to the UAE and put in my Etisalat SIM and these applications quit working. Opera fails to connect and Nokia Mail, after pressing Start, just hangs forever.
I tried EVERYTHING. I also updated the phone's software to version 7.20 - no results.
If anyone has any ideas please let me know.
Wondering when Nokia is going to fix this.....

Actually I am connecting thru the wlan OK - I can use AccuWeather, Reuters, OVI store.
But the included in the firmware version of Opera Mini will not work (Or a d/l version either) and Nokia Mail will not work, it opens and then when you press "Start" if just waits forever - before down south I could get to my Yahoo, Gma

How to fix your Nokia N97 and N97 mini

As my previous post was deleted by the moderators here is a quick overview of how to resolve many issues with your Nokia N97 or N97 mini.
You like myself maybe having issues with freezes, applications not working properly, rebooting, home screen disappearing etc.
This I have found is due to Nokias firmware being modified by companies like 3 mobile/optus/telstra vodaphone etc. they modify the software to suit their requirmeents , but in the process cause issues with the software so it stops the phone from working properly.
To remedy this. Take the phone to your telco/mobile phone network operator and ask for them to authorise Nokia to update the firmware on your phone. once this permission is given you take it to Nokia and they will update the software with the correct version of the firmware for that phone.
Once this is done you should see no more issues with the phone and it should work well. Removing the original carriers "version" of the software seems to fix it, but you must have written permission from your carrier to Nokia to do this.

The only way to go back to the old software has been described for you. It is not officially sanctioned by Apple. They do not provide a way to go back to former software. There is not currently a fix in iTunes, as the only thing iTunes does is provide a conduit for you to update firmware.
As provided before, Apple is addressing the issues with 3G and 3GS phones running slow with iOS4. According to developers with access to the iOS4.1 beta, it has been addressed there. You will have to either try the Genius bar as suggested, and I understand the distance issue, or you will have to wait for iOS4.1 to be released. If a restore as a new phone and a DFU restore do not work, then I'm not aware of any other alternative except what was provided above.
Edit: You might try and delete the iOS that you have on the computer and let iTunes download a brand new one. That might help.

You might want to Run the Flash Player Uninstaller and remove flash player.

Restart the machine.
Download and Re-install Flash Player.
Restart the browser and check.
Check the same using an alternate browser like chrome and see if you get the same issue.

Bold 9650 and Opera Mini 5

I was just curious, have any of you Bold owners tried running Opera Mini 5 for Blackberry? It ran fine on my Tour, but it does not run well on the Bold. The trackball is super sensitive while in this program. I have found a trackball setting of 70 and 70 is a good setting for my Bold. However, you can turn it down all the way, and Opera is still sensitive, to a point that you can not navigate. I just wanted to get some of your ideas.

Well, Opera released an update for Opera Mini to 5.1, and it will still not run on a Bold 9650 due to trackpad issues. I have just about given up on Opera.

Just installed opera mini beta 5 and it is a fantastic piece of software, the onyl problem I have is it will only connect using my contract wap and not through my home wifi, I have the N97 set up for all other internet applications to always ask. Anyone know how to resolve?

Vanishing posts/answers using Opera Mini on Nokia ...

Until recently i have been regularly using Yahoo! answers, Twitter, Forums etc and posting comments, answers etc. But in the last couple of days after i have entered the text and pressed the action button before proceeding down to 'Submit' the whole text has vanished from the box. Completely disappeared. Trying again and again makes no difference- even deleting browsing history/clearing cache and cookies makes no difference.
Why would this suddenly happen? I am taking a wild guess at software problems- but would this be Opera or Nokia itself?

opera mini is the best thing that happened to mobile browsing. if you got java & gprs you gotta have opera mini. i personally prefer the older opera mini3 to the newer opera mini4. opera mini4 is kinda **bleep**py imo. incorporating the yahoo search engine instead of the google search engine was a big mistake, yahoo! search sucks.

Unable to use Opera Mini with nokia 5310

I can browse with the phone's browser, but when I try to connect using opera mini, i get a message stating unable to connect to my network. Is it that the phone is incompatible with opera mini? It did come pre-loaded on the phone.
I noticed that I get the same problem when using Yahoo Go, another pre-installed program.

Do you have your network operator's (service provider's, carrier's) Internet access point settings defined on your phone? The built-in browser might be using WAP, and Opera Mini and Yahoo! Go might be requiring full Internet access.

hello there,
out of the blue the nokia xpress browser on my asha 501 does not start anymore: it just shows the blue background with the globe icon. when i press the back button, the following message appears:
"Something went wrong with running Nokia Xpress"
- I have subsequently updated the phone software to version 14.0.4
- I have run the troubleshooter tool under "installed programmes"
("Debug <Ovi Browser> connecting on port 2800")
- I have restarted the phone
nothing helped.
is anybody familiar with the problem and might assist with some help?

Hi Chris,
I had the same problem but I managed to solve this today (04/12).
Follow the steps below:
Be sure to backup your files.
1. Settings (configuration) > Reset phone
2. Click OK. Wait restart your phone.
3. Run Nokia Xpress and DON'T upload your backup.
I hope that your problem was solved.
And, after this situation, when your phone ask to keep the old files of the browser, click on No.
