Lumia 710 - Email hub is missing

Hello
I have a Nokia 710.
My live tile "Windows Live / Mail" disapeared from the starting menu with Live Tiles (see attachment).
How can I restore it?
It is not on the list of applications.

Welcome to the Nokia Support Discussions!
Is your Windows Live / MS account properly set up in your Lumia 710? If so, have you checked if the Email option is marked under Settings > email + account > Windows Live > Content to sync? In order to get updates for your Windows Live / MS email, this option has to be marked.
Let us know how it will go.

Lumia 800 email sync scheduling missing

There seem to be no functionality to schedule the e-mail sync to be turned off at night, like you could with the old Symbian phones, for example between 23:00 and 7:00, or in weekends.
On the Lumia, you have to turn it off manually every night, alternatively turn off the sound every night. An effect of this is that the phone consumes so much battery at night that the alarm clock in the morning seldom works, as the battery is empty.

As a long-time user of Windows Mobile 6.5, recently upgraded to a new Nokia Lumia 710 currently with Windows Phone 7.5 I am also disappointed that the standard feature previously available to set an email synchronisation schedule is unavailable.
This allowed "Peak" and "Off-Peak" times, with different profiles such as "as items arrive" in Peak and "manual" in Off-Peak. See the attached screen-shots from Windows Mobile 6.5. How do we lobby Microsoft to get this feature restored for Windows Phone 7.x?

Lumia 710 - automatic time option is missing?

Been googling and can't find an answer anywhere. Someone at WPCentral suggested contacting my carrier, but it's 6am at the moment so thought I'd ask here first.
I can set the time manually just fine. But the phone isn't super accurate at time keeping so I wanted to set it to auto. But the option just isn't there.
I'm in the U.K with T-Mobile and switched from a Nokia 5530 which had the auto time option. No idea why I can't access it on this phone? Can anyone help.....thanks

Can confirm that upon (UK) Lumia 710 have same options as yourself, which at odds with information with information in user guide:http://www.nokia.com/gb-en/support/product/lumia710/userguide/?action=onlineuserguidepagechange&pFil...
Can only assume that this feature now taken care of in the background should it be network enabled and replaced by 24 hour clock feature:

Nokia lumia 710 issue before and after send to rep...

need some advice from the forumer/nokia.
Just bought about a month but my lumia 710 already had an issue 3 days after bought it.
had send it to nokia care center at the 1st time due to battery drainage issue but the profesionalism of the staff was too bad.not satisfied with their attitude also.
had told them about another issue like zune can't detect my phone, sometimes can't heard what the people or someone want to said to me when i'm receiving the call. when call out a friend/somebody, they can't hear my voice. didn't receive any call in 1 day but after rebooting the phone got to many missed call log. had been told by my friend that they can't reach me when they call me and all the call that day has been forwarded to voice mail box.
didn't know why it happened. had been send back to authorised reseller about this issue and my phone has been handed to nokia care center by them.
after return from the nokia care center, had ask the reseller what is the root cause , the reseller said the nokia care center just downgraded my firmware/os back to 7.5 mango and said the problem solve. just use it back but my phone issue still arising. when receive/make a call the batteries drainage issue still exist. just talk about 5 minutes and the batteries was shown too be deplete but the main point is the batteries was shown 90% before make/receive a call. ?????????????.
should i returned it back to nokia care center or get back my .....
are they/the tech expert at nokia care center was too lazy or or lack of knowledge or not knowing of the level of troubleshooting method how to solve the problem and didn't know the root cause issue. its about a month send it to nokia care center but nothing/useless due to the issue/problem was still there.
check at the website support using the emei number, the repair/emei status didn't exist.

Nokia Lumia 920 email : how to do search on all em...

Hello all,
This is a feature i miss from my previous iphone 4.
I have multiple email accounts linked together (hotmail, 2 google accounts) on my lumia 920 email client app. I have set all email accounts to sync emails from past one month. However when i do a search for a particular keyword (eg: barbecue) , which might be present on one or all of the email accounts, probably on or before the one month time window, the email client can search only on the hotmail server and not on the google servers.
This was a feature i enjoyed with the iphone, in that it can search on all servers (linked) for the keyword I' looking for. Am I missing some setting ? or is it a limitation of the windows phone 8 email client ? or is it a limitation for nokia lumia's implementation of the windows phone 8 email client ?
Hope someone can help me out.

Tried this and now i have only synced last 7 days and the search for an email can search on all servers (hotmail and google). However, its slightly annoying that i've to sync all calendars and contacts in order get the mail client be able to connect to the server. A change in this behaviour is desired.!

Lumia 710 Activation code

Hi. I have a never ending issue with my nokia lumia 710 i need a activation code, ive contacted the support centre in South Africa (where i am situated) with a result of them telling me they will contact me with the code but as expected im not getting a response,The lady helping me working for nokia even had the nerve to get angry with me for following up on the situation.And cant give me any information apart from they will contact me with a code, they cant even tell me more or less how long it will take. this is so frustrating and i am regreting purchasing a nokia as it is rendered useless. PLEASE I NEED HELP. WHY WONT THEY CONTACT ME WITH A CODE< FUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUCK . I hate nokia i thought it was a good product but the people are rude and helpless towards me!!

Hi, vengien. Welcome to Microsoft Mobile Community. Each Windows Phone is created with an activation code as part of the manufacturing process. In rare cases, a new activation code is required to complete the Microsoft account sign-in process. In your case, does it mean you have successfully set up a Microsoft account yet you're still asked to put the code? Have you checked the resolution given by @Abi99? In case you've missed it, see: Activation code required when signing in with a Microsoft account on your Windows Phone and Lumia - Activation code while configuring Microsoft Account. Let us know if these links didn't work so we can think of other resolutions for you.

Lumia 710 possessed

I bought a lumia 710 in Feb. of this year for my husband, I was told it was an easy phone to use , and the best . Well, 10 months later, we have had the phone replaced, a new sim card and a master reset and are still ready to hit this phone with a hammer. First it would mysteriously delete all the contacts in the phone and shut off, and do this a couple times per day, when we complained , they sent us a new phone, it continued this a couple more times, then the phone linked to his email account so he could check emails, deleted all of his saved emails , ones that were sentimental to him , had passwords, etc. we unlinked it. The phone has continued to send emails to contacts in his recent list, even emails to himself! We had the sim card replaced before the phantom sending . Now the phone is sending random text messages to his work H R dept, and has sent them spam emails for **bleep** enlargement, etc. Most recently, he sent me a email from work telling me how busy his night had been and loving sentiment. At the bottom of the email was a sentence telling me something very unkind. When I replied to it, he was confused as to what I was talking about and called and I explained why I was upset, he didnt send that! We looked on his phone at his message and his message stopped at the nice stuff and ended with a smiley face, which was common for him to send me, no unkind sentences at all! Tell me Nokia how does a phone suddenly change text messages while they are in cyber space????? Not to mention that the phone has the worst service, stand in a room with everyone around you streaming videos and yours only says emergency calls only! When we went to our provider, they offered no assistance other than shut off the phone , let us charge you for a new phone. HELP!!

Are you connecting to your home Wi-Fi? Try to reset your router and then check again. You can also soft reset your phone by pressing and holding the power button for 10 seconds. Make sure your wifi is visible.

NOKIA Lumia 710: Touch screen focus no longer work...

Hello.
I've only had my Lumia 710 for two weeks. Up until 4 days ago, the touch screen focus attribute was working perfectly. I was taking pictures and it simply stopped working.
I've since tried resetting the camera options back to defaults with no luck. I recently updated the phones software pn 10.18.2012 with no change either. I also took out the battery and sim card out of frustration and obviously had no luck.
Aside from having to do a hard reset, does anyone have any suggestions regarding how to possibly fix this?
Maybe I'm missing an obvious and simple setting? Maybe not. Lol

Welcome to Nokia Support Discussions!
Normally Nokia Lumia 710 should focus on the part you tap with your finger (and show a reticle while doing so) and snap a picture. There is no setting to switch this off, so it should be working by default. We would advise you to reset your phone at Settings > About > Reset your phone. Just remember to backup your media files before doing so, because it will wipe your phone clean. If the issue persists, visit your local Nokia Care point and let them have a look.

Memory storage distribution in nokia lumia 710

I am using Nokia lumia 710. I have downloaded 4 games and taken some photos and videos from my mobile. Mobile is giving instruction to delete something and showing full memory. I think it shouldn't happen because it has 8 G.B. Internal memory. So what to do to solve this problem.

Have you downloaded a lot of map data for Nokia Drive? These usually account for a large amount of memory usage. Also clear browser cache, check emails, especially those with large attachments and also messgges.

Uploading music into my lumia 710 is big problem

i'm not able to transfer songs from my friends mobile through Bluetooth.. then tried to download mp3 songs via email which friend had sent, it said this format is not supported..I tried to get into nokia.com/music to download the song, my mobile name is not listed in the list which nokia has in their website..
help me out how to upload the music into my lumia 710...

There are a couple of ways
The main ways to get your own music on is through the official Zune software on PC or the Mac equivalent. You can also purchase/stream new music from "Nokia music" or "Zune Marketplace" directly onto your phone. You can also use a service like "Last.fm" or "Spotify" to stream music or stream radio broadcast via various apps. There is also a radio tuner on the phone.
You can also listen to music via e-mail or internet link but cannot save the file.
Finally there is an app called "free music downloader" that can save music from the internet but it will not appear in your media library, it can only be accessed through the app.
You can not transfer via bluetooth and you can not save music from internet explorer or e-mail.
These are the only ways I know of, there may be other apps that offer similar services.

Cannot Connect to Store - Nokia Lumia 710

Hi got a Lumia 710. Can not connect to marketplace. When I try to tap on an app to. Download nothing happens not even in app store.Any ideas please.

Welcome to the forum!
Do you have a stable Wi-Fi or mobile data connection when trying to access the Marketplace? Are you able to browse mobile websites or use other internet-based apps? When did this issue start to happen? Do you get any error code or message when trying to download apps?
Try to check if your Windows Live (or Microsoft) account is working fine by going to Settings > Email + Account > Windows Live. Tap and hold your account, and then select Sync. You may also try to retype your password to update it. After that, try to access the Marketplace and download apps again. Mae sure that the internet connection is stable when downloading apps. If the issue continues, try to reboot the phone by removing and re-placing the battery before turning the phone on.
Let us know how it will go.

Where to buy Nokia Xpress-on cover for Lumia 710 ?

Does anyone know where I can buy Nokia Xpress-on cover for Lumia 710 in Australia? Or anywhere overseas that will ship to Australia. Nokia lists them on their website but not how/where to purchase.
I notice customers in the U.S. are getting free covers. Is this going to be available to other countries???

I emailed Nokia NZ about the covers, they said they'd get back to me... 2 months still waiting and yes a new cover would be cool. Mines too black, always getting lost.
Yellow would be awesome. Perhaps they'll extend the cover offer to the rest of the world one day

Lumia 710 standby screen wont turn off

The standby screen of my nokia lumia 710 wont turn off. I powers off when i hit the standby button but when i recieve a new email/whatsapp the screen stays on for hours resulting in a battery life of max a half day. It started a week ago an I did a hard resut in order to solve the problem but it didn't help.
What can be a good solution?

    "Resetting SMC on portables with a battery you should not remove on your own".
If this does not help, contact Apple.

New Lumia 710

I just bought the Lumia 710 for my wife. She is not a power user. Makes calls, text to the kids some internet email etc. I took this device for the day to see how it world work for me in my world so I gave her my HTC HD7 to use for this one day. For an entry level device it's outstanding. The sound quality is good the phone quality is good. It's fast and very smooth I was very impressed with this device. Except for the screen size it blows the HTC HD7 out of the water. If Nokia ever gets something like the 900 on T-MO I would buy it in a heart beat but sadly they sank the good stuff on AT&T too bad. This week I wont be buying my second Nokia device because of that I'm a big screen guy.. Anyway the Lumia 710 is pretty nice for an entry level device but not as a power user...

I just got a Nokia Lumia 710 from Rogers here in Canada....I am faced with the same thing, the airplane mode does not seem to wanna turn off, I've done everything, reset the phone both soft and hard (using the multiple hold key method), removed the battery checked the SIM is inserted correctly, same thing is happening.
Now...when I remove the SIM card and boot the phone, go into the settings, I can toggle airplane mode switch to OFF but the status still reads ON...hence same thing is happening, it does not want to toggle like it should!
I should mention when the phone is booting without any SIM card inside, it'll bring up a message to notify me the user that there's no SIM in the phone so the hardware reports and the software reports the same message as in there's no SIM, which is good.
Also...if I turn of the wi-fi (which world great), then go to airplane mode (which reads ON permanently) and slide it to the off position, wi-fi turns right back on...so this means the software turns on just the wi-fi radio and not the cellular antenna...so there's definately a fault some where, not sure if it's the OS or the phone but since I have another windows phone 7 device (Dell Venue Pro), I think this is a Nokia issue....gonna try to seek warranty replalcement / repair now.
Grrrr, sucks I cannot move to Lumia 710 at this time, weird bug happening on day 1 with the device!!

Not able to make any call with my lumia 710 though other then call everything is working fine. I chacked my SIM in other phone, i there phone i can make calls. Whats wrong with my phone?
