Lumia 710 Push notifications

Hii..
Could someone tell me how to disable / Enable push notification feature in LUMIA 710?
I have enabled it when setting up twitter app in phone and since then messages are pouring in day and night!! I like to stop it.
Also is push notifications messages chargeable by the telecom operator?
Any help on this subject will be highly appreciated

Push notifications use data, although it's a minute amount.
You should be able turn them off in an app through Settings..

I have a Lumia 520, and i find that i do not receive push notifications for my whatsapp messages. I have to open the application before the messages come through. I would like to know how to correct this. I have checked all my settings.

On a HTC-forum I saw the next solution, and it works also for Nokia Lumia! That means it is a Microsoft Issue!
1) Unpin Windows store from start
2) ERASE Internet Explorer History
3) ADD new language to the keyboard (Settings-->keyboard-->add keyboards
(CHOOSE A LANGUAGE THAT REQUIRE DOWNLOAD)
4) When downloading is finished, it will ask to restart and install
5) After installation and restart do the following;
A) UNINSTALL WHATSAPP
B) REINSTALL WHATSAPP (you can get conversation history back when asked, so no problem)
After this the push function works, but there is still a delay up to 10 minutes! So when you test, be patient.
NO BETTER PRESSURE MEDIUM THAN ANTI ADVERTISING SO AFTER THIS EXPEDITION PLEASE CHANGE YOUR STATUS TEXT TO:
USING WINDOWS; THAT MEANS DELAY UP TO 10 MINUTES
When all Window Phone users display that message, Microsoft has to come with a final solution!

PUSH NOTIFICATIONS DOESNT WORK IN LUMIA 925!!!!!

I have tried Facebook, Instance, Viber. Nothing pops out in the lock screen. It seems only txt and phone calls only register to Lumia 925. I am on 3G/4G LTE connection and even on the wifi it doesnt pop out. Why is it like this? Any social thing doesnt come out

I'm also having thesame problems now.
My phone used to work brillaintly, but then had a fault and I had to restore it back to its factory settings. Since then, the push notifications no longer work.
And I have double checked the settings. Also manually checked/activated the notifications in each individual app that uses them. But nothing seems to be working.
Very frustrating as I have friends around the world and we often communicate via Facebook or What'sApp and it was easy before - because I would receive FB messages like they were text messages, but they don't come through now.

No Push Notifications with Nokia Lumia 820 WP8

By default, push notifications are turned off.
You need to configure your Edge Server to have a federation relationship with the cloud-based Lync Server 2010 Push Notification Service, which is located in the Lync Online datacenter, and run a cmdlet to

Lumia 520 standby push notifications

Hi.
My Lumia 520 does not give me any push notifications while in standby mode. I have no mobile data so i am only using wifi.
The phone is configured as following:
- Wifi enabled while in standby
- Battery saver is turned off
- Play sound for all other notifications
I allready did a hard reset but that didn't change anything.
When i am using the phone everything works as it should be. Notifications pop up immediately. But after i lock the phone, most of the notifications will not be showed. Only when i unlock the phone and open the app, all the notifications will be showed.
Something i discovered: when i pluging the charger, notifications will pop up immediately even in standby mode. But battery saver is turned off. So i don't know what could be wrong.
Please help me.

Are you _sure_ you have WiFi set to be always on? I would suggest not assuming his and check in settings>Wi-Fi>advanced>keep Wi-Fi on when screen times out to make sure.

Push notification error in lumia 620

There is some push notification error in my lumia 620. Hence, i cant use any IM apps. It says to reboot my phone. How do i do that? And will i loose my personal data if i do it? If yes, is there any other way out?

Rebooting your phone means to turn it off and then on again. You will not lose any data or settings if you do that.

Toast Notification - Nokia Lumia 710

Is there a way to disable / enable the toast notification of SMS on Nokia Lumia 710?

I work for a cellular provider. The SMS toast notification is a big deal customers. When my phone is locked and sitting on my desk or coffee table I want a notification of a text message to appear but not the message contents.

Welcome to Nokia Support Discussions!
There is no setting to set your phone to switch on/off as per to a schedule. This is not possible with any application either, as they cannot access the core functions of the phone (such as power down etc.) by default.
So, I am afraid your only choice would be to put your phone on silent (press volume up and down and then tap the top right of the screen), check that there are no applications running (long press back button) and switch off Bluetooth, WiFi and location services to minimise the battery consumption. There are applications that will ease your access to these services, such as this.

Hi, i seem to be getting constant error messages from whatts app about problems with push notifications.
cant find anything on the phone to resolve this. Can anyone give any advise ?

What's the exact error message & which connection are you using? Cellular data or WiFi? What troubleshooting steps have you tried? Have you tried to reboot the phone? Press and hold the volume down and power keys until the phone vibrates. You can also try to toggle between the 2 internet connections to further isolate the issue. What's your Firmware Rev. #? Make sure that your phone's software is up-to-date. Keep us posted.

sir.. still there is no 7.8 update for my lumia 710 on zune..when ever i check it shows your phone is uptodate 7.10..

Proximity Sensor problem after update. Lumia 710

Hi,
Yesterday i received the update notification to Tango through Zune. After perform the update, I noticed that when making or receiving calls, the screen immediately turned off and is not turned on again until the other person hung up.
I did the tests in the diagnostic menu, and the proximity sensor always shows "detected".

I did a rollback to the previous version and the problem was solved, but went update to Tango again, the problem reappears. I notice that problem appears just after the firmware update from Nokia.

can anybody help me.......i m facing issue with my proxomity sensor aa when i make or recive the call my phone (Nokia Lumia 710) screen gets disappear ant it comes only when other person disconnect the call. This happens only when i did update my phone with new updates. Can any one tell me hoe to roll back to previous version.

Lumia 710 - Facebook Messaging disconnecting

I just bought my Lumia 710 yesterday. When I tried to go to Messaging > Online, it would show my Facebook contacts. After about 30 seconds or so, it would show these contacts as offline.
I've tried turning Facebook chat on and off via Messaging > Online, changing my chat status, and turning my wifi on and off to no effect. I've also tried getting closer to the wifi modem in my house, but that didn't work either. Any help would be much appreciated.

I also had this problem and still do, but I found a "solution". It doesn't require any money, you don't even have to move from where you're seated. Just download the IM+ app. Get the free one and add Facebook to it. You can also add other forms of messaging like skype to it aswell, all integrated into one little app. From this app, even with windows 7, you can get notifications (not on the lock screen) but they pop up at the top like a normal message and the live tile also tells you how many notifications you have. It's super easy, free, and personally better than the original messaging app as everything is put in together (apart from texts) so give it a go. I was almost a wreck until I found it

Fix push notifications

I really tried make my girlfriend use Skype. And I almost achieved it. Almost.
From some OS updates and Skype updates until now, it became impossible for her to receive messages via push notifications.
I install Skype on her Windows Phone, login and everything works. But some time later she simply stops receiving messages. Yesterday the messages didn't came even when I open the app.
Most of the times, /showplaces shows she is "online" on Windows Phone and on Windows 8. The Windows 8 PC is turned off, so the only real active endpoint is Windows Phone.
Yesterday, /showplaces gave me an "MSNP offline" or something like that.
If I logout from her Skype and login again on her WP, push notifications work for some time.
If it helps, she owns a Lumia 925, with Windows Phone 8.1. And she commonly close apps by killing them (hold the back button and swipe the apps down). She doesn't like those apps staying "open".

I have 2 x 3GS upgraded to IOS 5.01 last night. One via OTA, one via cable with itune.
After the upgrade push service for BOTH devices ceased to work. (iMessage never work, Whatsapp used to worked before the upgrade)
For example when I send a Whatsapp message to these devices they would not received it until the user actually activate the app.
I have also tried "Reset Network Connections" on both devices but it doesn't fix the issue.

Facebook stopped working on Nokia Lumia 710

I cannot access or add my facebook account to my Nokia Lumia 710 windows phone. Earlier today the people app stopped updating notifications from facebook. When I looked at the account info it said the account "required attention" I tried to sync then re-enter my password. The phone then said it had trouble connecting to facebook. I deleted the account then tried to re-add it. When I tried to add it said "something went wrong"
What do I do?

Same issue here with my lumia 800. I went for a run last night about 9pm and was doing the same by the time I got back about 9:45pm
Anyone else had this?
The Facebook app doesn't work either. Facebook mobile works so I can access it so I know the password is correct.
