Lumia 710 update to WP 7.8

Dear Nokia,
I am Wessam Moffed from Egypt. I knew lately that there is an update available for my phone ( nokia lumia 710 ) to the new version of windows phone 7.8 . but my phone doesn't show any signs pf updates and when I connected to zune software on my PC it told me also that my phone is up to date while my phone now is on the old 7.5 version of windows phone. Please I need this update because I beleive it will enhance my phone a lot. please help me with that and tell me what's wrong.

Like with all windows phone updates not all countries and phones get it at the same time. The update is delivered in a staggered roll out so you will get it eventually.
Unfortunately it's not possible to say when a specific phone in a specific country will get the update. All you can do is wait and keep checking.
If you really want the update now you should take your phone to a Nokia care point as they may be able to update you instantly.

Lumia 710 updates (8107)?

Are there any updates that are being prepared for Tmobile testing for the Lumia 710, such as the 8107 build (or a greater build number)? Since being released, there have been no updates, while the HTC Radar has had two updates. Because of this, I am considering going back to the Radar if Nokia isn't supporting this phone....

Is there any new news regarding any updates for the T-Mobile Lumia 710? It was said that the 710 will receive updates that the 800 receive, yet that hasn't been one update since the phone has been released...

Hi can anyone let me know when will 710 will uopdate to 7.8 as at present i am on 7.5. I am on airtel carrier & when i check over online its showing tht 710 is updating to 7.8. but my phone is showing no update.

you will need to contact your network carrier for information regarding the update, as Nokia has stated in their official 7.8 announcement that if you haven't received the update by now, then you should contact either your local Nokia Care or your network carrier: http://nokia.com/support

Good news! We have brought forward the software update schedule for our Nokia Lumia 710, and have begun rolling out the latest update 1600.3015.8107.12070 to India and Singapore. We will add more countries and variants to the rollout based on market requests.
The new Lumia 710 update brings the following enhancements:
• Smoother device performance (when ending a call) as well as
• other minor performance and usability improvements
As soon as the update is available for you, your phone will display a notification on your Homescreen or you can check for available updates manually by going to Settings > phone update. To update your phone, please follow those 4 steps:
1.   Install the Zune software (Windows) or Windows Phone 7 Connector (Mac OS) on your computer. You'll need this software to download the phone update.
2.   Connect your phone to your computer, using the USB cable that came with your phone.
3.   If the Zune software or Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac doesn't start automatically when you connect your phone, start it manually.
4.   In the Zune software, click Update Now (in Windows Phone 7 Connector for Mac, click Install Updates). Make sure you keep your phone connected to your computer until you see a notification that the update is complete.

Well La Dee Dah Yvonne . . . I got news for you . . . 3 different nokia employess at 3 different times and days told me that they have no idea when a new update will be out. Infact one of them went so far as to tell me to sell of my phone and buy a new one if i'm not happy with it and guess what . . . Thats EXACTLY what i did. I had 2 Nokia Lumia 710's. A black one for myself and a white one for my wife. Well so taking your Nokia Employees enlightened advice I went and bought a black Samsung Galaxy S II for myself and a white one for my wife . . . And trust me when i say this but i'm going to go around telling anyone who cares to listen how Nokia cheated a custome who's been loyal to them for the last 22 YEARS. My Nokia Lumia 710 stopped working during updating...

My Nokia Lumia 710 was connected to my Pc by cable and was being updated. As the updating was going on, probably during the 7th or 8th step, it hanged and stopped responding. The updating could not complete. The worst is that the phone can no longer be powered off except when you remove the battery and after replacing the battery, it cannot boot, except to draw a diagram of phone connected to a PC. That was the stage in the updating process when it stopped working.
Please, advice me on what to do becasuse the phone is of no longer use to me. I bought it in December 2012 and it got spoilt in April 2013. I have taken to Nokia Care centre around me. but the price they said they will use to repair it is equivalent to buying a new one. Please help.

@IRFAN_aadat if you are on Windows, you need Microsoft Zune. In Mac OS X, your need the Windows Phone-App. However, which software version and which firmware version do you have? The last update was last year!

Lumia 710 doesn't update do 7.8

I still can't update my Lumia 710 to WP 7.8 . I installed first 2 updates after forcing, but the 3rd one can't be installed. Zune doesnt even find the update without forcing. It always shows me error 80180048 after stopping installing. Windows Phone Support Tool doesnt help either, it shows "The tool cannot recover this phone. Please contact technical support" and nothing is done. I dont know what to do now. Can anyone help?

Lumia 800 and 900 users already got ability to update their handsets to WP 7.8. Do Lumia 710 users get update later or it will be no update to WP 7.8 for Lumia 710 users?

WP7.8 will be available soon on Lumia 710's but don't have any exact date. For now, all we can do is to wait until the update is available for download via Zune.

Proximity Sensor problem after update. Lumia 710

Hi,
Yesterday i received the update notification to Tango through Zune. After perform the update, I noticed that when making or receiving calls, the screen immediately turned off and is not turned on again until the other person hung up.
I did the tests in the diagnostic menu, and the proximity sensor always shows "detected".

I did a rollback to the previous version and the problem was solved, but went update to Tango again, the problem reappears. I notice that problem appears just after the firmware update from Nokia.

can anybody help me.......i m facing issue with my proxomity sensor aa when i make or recive the call my phone (Nokia Lumia 710) screen gets disappear ant it comes only when other person disconnect the call. This happens only when i did update my phone with new updates. Can any one tell me hoe to roll back to previous version.
Help me plz as it is really irritating as i am not able to disconnect the call or can not dial a number after call has been made. HELP ME PLEASEEEEEEEEEEEE........I don't have screen gard on my phone......
