Lumia 720 camera gets bad after updating to Amber?...

Hi guys,
I got the Amber Update for my 720 last night. It's a nice little update, except the camera seems to perform worse. The images always seems to be washed out and more blurry. in low light it takes (much) brighter photos, but also a lot noisier and blurry. And the images always seems to have an awful green colour tint. I'm a bit annoyed right now . Anyone else experience this on their lumia?
I attached two photos for reference. One is taken before the update, and the other one is taken after it.

the two images you posted definitely show worse image after update :/
aside from increasing my average battery consumpution on standby, the amber did not affect the quality of my camera / fotos. i have no foto comparison for before n after, but with my overall experience in photography, id say the amber update somewhat improved the camera's low light performance, notwithstanding grain ofcourse.
colors seem to still be acceptable. i think nokia has been able to improve their post processing software along with the update (as far as my experience is concerned).
maybe a factory reset n re-install of the update would help. but before you do that, try to think really hard if you were in the right camera settings / using 'lenses' or other camera apps, etc.
note : always backup your data before wiping the os

After some camera&pictures related updates (maybe Photobeamer) Lumia 720 camera stopped to start.
When trying to open camera it opens quicly and returns back to main screen.
Soft and hard resets are done. Does not help.

My camera worked for about a week, then it stopped working. The exact problem:
Both of the cameras (front and back) will open but when I touch the screen to take a photo, the software crashes.
The phone returns to the menu window.
If I try to take a picture with the button, the focus light comes on if I partially press.
But if I completely press the button to take a photo, the software crashes.
I have done both a soft reset (volume down and power until it buzzes and a complete reset (reload the software).
The camera continues to crash.
Please give me some advice, I cannot return the phone to the original source as I am here in the USA and I need the phone for work.

When did you perform the update?
The phone needs a few days for the OS to settle and sync your data, It's normal for the first few days to shed battery life faster than normal.

Have you contacted your email provider to make sure there are no problems on their end? If they say their email servers are working properly, check the outgoing and incoming mail servers entries on your iPhone to make sure both are entered correctly. Enter the outgoing mail server even if the account setup indicates that is optional.

I have iphone3gs just upgraded to iOS5 just now.
So far i am not experiencing any slow down because of the new iOS.. Rather i feel like its slightly faster than the previous version (4.3.5)..
One of the first thing i want to try was the location based reminders.. After upgrade i coudn't find the option, and went trough the user manual to find out that it is not available for 3gs..:(

Go to settings>general>reset>erease all content and settings. Wait for the ipad to finish then see if it works.

Lumia 1520 Battery Discharge Issue After Updating ...

After updating to Denim, my Nokia Lumia 1520 started to experience the following symptoms:
Phone charges to 100%, I disconnect and use an app like Instagram BETA, Internet Explorer, Lumia Camera, or any game--after no more than 5 minutes of use, the phone gives a "Critical Low Battery" alert and shuts down. If I try to restart phone immediately, it makes it to the AT&T splash screen or lockscreen and then same battery message appears and shuts down. If I wait 10-15 minutes after the shutdown to restart phone (without recharging) the phone will stay on, but battery level will report to be in the low 20s or 10s (whereas no more than 20 minutes ago, it was 100%).
When phone is at 100% battery: I take 2-5 photos or record mere seconds of video and I get the same "Critical Low Battery" alert. Upon restarting, some of the photos or video are nonexistent or corrupt files and battery level is reported at 2-5%.
However, if my phone is plugged in to charger, none of these "Critical Low Battery" alerts come up and I am able to use phone as usual. Considering that I cannot take a vacation and capture nature's beauty with an AC adapter always connected, this is a serious drawback.
Steps I've Taken:
Soft-reset
Full factory-reset
Moved all apps off microSD card (this improved situation maybe 5%)
Disabled almost all background app use in Battery Saver
Replaced microSD card when I thought this was a memory write/read issue
Installed "Battery" app to monitor battery use. After 750 data points were logged, my average battery life is reported at "16 minutes," which sounds about right.
My warranty should be expired since I purchased the phone December 2013, so I'm checking in here if anybody has had any luck with battery replacements or with a solution to this issue? At the same time, this issue arose strictly after updating to Denim and I've seen other users report this EXACT scenario. Is there any hope for Lumia 1520 users on this?

Z10 - 10.2.1 to 10.3.1: One year of camera pictures missing after updating

Hello,
After updating a Z10 from 10.2.1 to 10.3.1, I have one device (out of 5) with one year of pictures that are unaccounted for (April 2014 to before the update). The Z10 has a SD card but pictures were always saved on the Device storage. The BlackBerry Link full backup file size dropped from 7.64GB to 4,44GB after updating the device, so the pictures are clearly not there anymore.
I always backup devices before updating, so I was able to recover the missing pictures, but this is not acceptable behavior ... Seems to me to be a very serious bug.

Confirmed that the same bad behavior is there now that the calendar has rolled forward to May.
Like I said this raises the question of what else is broken in the basic functionality of an essential app.
BlackBerry folks reading this - hope to you see you reproduce the bug, and acknowledge ingestion of a bug report into your internal bug tracking system, for priority fix on next OS release.
Others reading this, if you reproduce the bug (should be easy) - please add comments as you see fit, to get BlackBerry's attention on this one.

IPhone 4s TV Shows getting erased after updating to iOS8.1

I've been transferring TV show episodes into my iPhone 4s for travelling matters and I've been doing it from iOS 6-7.
When iOS8 came out, I did not update my iPhone 4s due to rumors about battery consumption and all, but when the official iOS8.1 came out, I already updated and got the iTunes updated with its new red icon already. I'm using a Microsoft Windows 7 for the desktop.
Now, when I tried to access my TV Shows from the phone, it gave me a message that I should connect to a Wi-Fi network in order to play the videos, because I was new to iOS8.1, I thought it was just requiring for me to really connect because of a new feature, but that wasn't the case because when I got to a location where I have Wi-Fi connection, it still didn't play the video. I noticed that there is a circular "progressing" indicator showing at the top of the screen while trying to play the vids. Nothing seems to happen. I then connected the iPhone to the computer to check on the videos, surprisingly, I saw 4 videos inside my phone that has the caution symbol and it can't be played even with iTunes anymore.
What I did was to try and get that 4 videos back to my phone. It came back and by default it'll fall under "Movies" first before we can change its tagging and make it show under "TV Shows". I did a lot of troubleshooting but it seems like the video stays "alive" in the Movies, but will "die" when it reaches TV Shows.
Any idea on what's happening? I guess there are some of you who's encountering the same thing, too. Please share.

This has now happened to me twice on my 64G Touch in the couple of weeks I've had it.
All songs and video "disappear", although the space is still taken up.
If I deselect the music and video and then sync, I regain the space back. Then, I can re-select the music and videos and re-sync and things are back.
This happened both with 9.0 and 9.0.1.
I'm running Vista 64-bit, and IIRC, I downloaded the 64-bit version of iTunes 9.0, although it isn't clear to me if that was retained when the auto-update updated me to 9.0.1.
This time, I noticed the issue right after syncing. Earlier tonight I'm pretty sure I noticed the content was there. I purchased a few games on the Touch earlier in the day. I played a few games, then purchased a new TV show via iTunes and then synced.
After the sync, the content was gone.
I've been able to buy applications both via iTunes and via the Touch and sync without issue. Seems like trying to sync the new TV show might have triggered it. Or maybe it's just random.

Aperture 3: GPS data gets lost after 'Update from Master'

My library contains photos in JPEG format that I geotag in Places, then I save the metadata with 'Write IPTC Metadata to Master'. The problem I have is, that the GPS data gets lost after I do an 'Update from Master', even if I saved the metadata before. I'm having this problem with referenced and managed photos and all my JPEGs from several different cameras. The only way to permanently store the GPS info into my photos seems to be to export the geotagged photos as versions.
Does anybody has the same problem or knows how to solve this?

Use Houdah geo (http://www.houdah.com) to write location data back to the EXIF. It's interface is very similar to Places (Google maps and pins) and you can interface with the Aperture library. It's a bit of a pain, but if you need it done now rather than wait for an Aperture 3 fix, then...

I have Lumia 720 phone. Every picture I've taken so far is 1278x722 resolution. I use the main camera, not the secondary camera.
1278x722 = 922716 ~ 0.9M
Where is the rest of the promised 6.3MP?

Let me guess, you are viewing the images on SkyDrive..
Try this and have a look at Settings>backup>photos
To get the full res images off your phone there's an app in the store or you can just connect to a PC to copy them off.
Click on the blue Star Icon below if my advice has helped you or press the 'Accept As Solution' link if I solved your problem..

(Over time, Apple has changed the built-in camera's name on newer Macs from "iSight" to "FaceTime" and then to "FaceTime HD." Regardless of the name of your Mac's built-in camera, the same info and troubleshooting applies.)
To find out what you need to fix, you may need to test more than one Apple app in more than one user account.
All works for me, but you may need to update to the latest Skype (Skype_6.9.0.517).
