Hi,
i bought lumia 720 on 7-7-2013, after 2 days while using some apps, the screen freezes, everytime i have to do a reset. One more issue is the screen keeps moving on its own with vibration, it goes to bing page and then goes to home page, this happens continuosly, i have to hold the phone still for a while & then it stops, i called nokia cust care and then told me to submit in Bangalore Nokia care center. Apart from doing a hard reset is there any other troubleshooting, im a technical person too but unfortunately i cannot open this phone. Is there any other way to fix this issue. Im very much afraid of using heavy apps as the phones freezes......

Examples: Freezes for about 20 seconds every launch. Freezes quiting. Freezes switching tabs. Freezes clicking links.Note that such issues can be caused by security software that blocks Firefox and possibly isn't initialized when you get (got) this issue.
So if it happens again then try to remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

i am using firefox 3.6.17 i upgraded it to 4.1.but it does not work properly sometimes it opens every website and most of the time it does not work . so what is the problem please help . thank you
Did you check your security software (firewall)?
A possible cause is security software (firewall) that blocks or restricts Firefox or the plugin-container process without informing you, possibly after detecting changes (update) to the Firefox program.
Remove all rules for Firefox from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full unrestricted access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process.

After the new update the FFox is now 11.0. But it's really SLOW always CRASHES and most of the time is NOT RESPONDING. I have to go to CHROME it is working perfectly.

Have you tried starting Firefox in Safe Mode? Hold down "shift" while Firefox is starting up. If the crash doesn't happen in Safe Mode, you should read [[Troubleshooting extensions and themes]].

It takes hours to download a movie either on Apple TV or Mac and most of the time doesn't download at all. To me it is a bad app and I think I'll stick to Netflix or Xfinity

The first thing to check would be your internet download speed, you can do this at www.speedtest.net.
1080p HD movies require a recommended speed of 8 Mbps, 720p HD movies require a recommended speed of 6 Mbps, while SD movies require a recommended speed of 2.5 Mbps.
Netfix uses adaptive streaming, if you have a slow connection it will reduce the quality of the video, iTunes ensures you get the quality you pay for. -
I recently bought the 27" IMac. I have to force shut it down, the menu shut down doesn't work, and most of the time it will start back up on it's own several hours or even days later. Any ideas?
Note: No iMac PPC is 27". PPC is for the iMacs that were new until the beginning of 2006. They are all Intel now.

Hi, you can't have a PowerMac, they can't run 10.6, 10.7, or ML/10.8!
Open Console in Utilities & see if there are any clues or repeating messages when this happens. -
I am running OS10 on a MAC and every time I go too another web site (most of the time) a new tool bar pops up that says " Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page" and on the other end I must hit the button ALLOW because it is usually screwing me up and Iwant to disable it or use another browser

Lumia 720 freezes and the camera not opening
I had this problem today my camera is not opening any app related to camera is not working its a pity that this awesome device too has flaws ....Somebody with same problem?
Apologies if this is not the correct way to get in on a conversation but I cannot find a way to start a question.
I have a similar problem when I try to take a picture by tapping the screen and it appears the picture has been taken but the phone goes back to the home screen. When I check the camera roll the picture is sometimes there but appears to be blank at the bottom so you can only see a partial picture. I have tried a soft reset. I do not think it's hardware as smart shoot works. This problem only occurs on the back facing camera. The front camera shoots pictures by touching the screen and saving in full. This started happening on the 16 July after I saw a message saying my update was successful even though I didn't update.....
Just noticed when I copy/paste to my PC, the numbnail shows the picture in full but when opened in full it show only the top part..... Really confused! Hopefully the attached file will show what I mean when opened not viewed as a thumbnail...
Any ideas apart from hard reset..? Thanks in advance.

I have Nokia Lumia 720. I brought it 5 months ago march'14. It was working well for first 3-4 months but now it hangs a lot.
I even informed NokiaCare on twitter. They told me to restart, soft reset, hard reset, and even recovery via Nokia software tool. But it still keeps on hanging.
Didn't expected this. Please help!!

Thanks.May be the cause, because this might be a rather old SIM. SIMs do fail after a certain amount of time. Furthermore, all Micro-SIMs are USIM. Windows Phone relies on a USIM heavily. A normal SIM can be a USIM or not. Micro-SIM makes that sure.
Therefore, please, ask your operator for a Micro-SIM are report back in any case: pass or failure. -
The Search is taking much time sometime and most of the time working fine

i have a Offer 41000630set to "final contract" by the F&C and saved, the F&C clicked on "more" and "Update Quantity Contract".
We saw the "doughnut"more than minutes before we were presented with the EMPTY list of possible QCs for about 9 minutes. After that we aborted the operation with a click on the "x" of the empty list window. After that the "doughnut" was presented again and after another minute we decieded to close the browser.
We logged in again and repeated the process and it worked much faster and now we were preseted with the list of all QCs.
Our question: what went wrong the first time?
We also experienced simular situations in other countries for different function. This behaviour is very sporadic so it is very difficult to replicate on the Q-System.
I wanted to know the possible cause of these behavious as i can't simulate this issue its rare.

I investigated and find out the performance issue came as the secondry index were not transported for some of the standard tables in the system that is why the search was takingmuch time.

I give up. I was ok with version 16.0 and firefox 16.02 was automatically downloaded to y Mac Book Pro Version 10.8.2 Mountain Lion. I would like to go back to Firefox 15.0. How can I do this? If this cannot be done, I will uninstall Firefox 16.02 and only use the Chrome and Safari Browsers. I have been using Firefox for more than 10 years and I leave Firefox with great regret. You simply cannot compete with Google Chrome.

I sync videos (.mp4 and .3gp format) and most of the time they do not sync.
Some times they sync and sometimes not. Sometimes they are hidden unless I search for it and open from the search screen. I sync it as a .3gp .mp4 .m4v .wma. I Tunes adds and converts as needed. I Pod touch has at least 15GB free estimated after clicking on the add shows/movies/music on Computer I Tunes to add to I Pod. ITunes is not set up to manually manage.
This is happening to mine too.... I posted a comment and I dont understand why so if you find an answer it would be great if you would let me know

The reason is licensing - artists/record companies/TV networks/movie distributors all have separate licensing deals in different countries (or no licensing deals at all). It isn't mysterious or secret.
The only way around this is to have an iTunes account in the other country - either a valid credit card with billing address in that country, or an iTunes gift card from that country (though you'll still be asked for a billing address in the country for which you've purchased the card).
