After. Using Lumia 720 sometimes it gets zoomed in and then u have to switch off and on again .

Go to settings-->ease of access and set 'Screen Magnifier' to OFF

Hello all..
its been two days I bought my Lumia 720..phone is gorgeous, but , to my shock it gets warm real quick..infact its warm almost all the time..the only background apps running are People and city lens..usually the phn gets warm during long talks, charging and playing music.
And even if there are few background apps, isnt it abnormal that the phone is warm almost all the time. It has become an irritation. What should I do??

Warming may also happen during charging or when listening to music for a longer time, for example. The environmental temperature may also result in warming up. However, all Nokia phones are tested for heat tolerance in accordance with industry and government standards. All models meet industry standards before they are offered for sale. Only Nokia models that meet heat tolerance standards are on the market and the heat level on all Nokia models are within the safe range.

Lumia 720 volume not changing and freeze

Hello! I m user of Lumia 720. The volume of my phone is not changing while playing music. For ex- If a song is playing at30/30 its volume does not decreases even after playing at 0/30.There is 1 more problem in it, it get freeze at lock screen and touch not respond well (after going to head office). I had visited Nokia center for 3 times and my phone has also gone to Nokia's head office when i submitted it. I got my mobile 1 week ago bt the problem remain same. I m a huge Nokia fan bt after buying this phone MERA BHAROSA NOKIA SE UTHTA JA RAHA HAI.Please make some solution otherwise people will not trust on u and they will not buy your Phone. Lumia 720 has low volume when nokia ear phones are used. At 15 volume without the ear phones attached the sound is great and loud but when they are connected I need to increase the volume to 25!
And also when I listen to music my battey drops 1% per song why is that?

Built-in speakers and earphones has a lot of differences when it comes to loudness. It is normal that the speaker is much louder than the earphones. However, the earphones can provide you a great sound quality as it has stereotyped sound.
About your concern about the battery life when playing music, do you have open apps other than the music player? Are you connected to Wi-Fi or is your phone's Bluetooth enabled?

Lumia 720 - Defective Audio Jack and Random Reboot...

I purchased a Lumia 720 from Amazon.com in the US. After about a month, sound was only coming from one headphone. I thought it just might have been my headphones, but then I tried them in a friends phone and they worked fine. Other headphones didn't work either unless it was over Bluetooth. I have also been experiencing freezing and random reboots. A friends factory reset it for me several times and the issues still persist.
I need to send it in for repair; I did verify that it is in-warranty.

Lumia 720 pixel row problem and warranty

I have a 6 month Lumia 720 that has developed a problem in which a complete vertical row of pixels doesn't work in blue, green, yelloow, and other background colors.
I took it for warranty and they told me that they must exchange it for a new unit but they don't have 720's in stock.
THEY WANT TO GIVE ME SOMETHING LOWER THAN EVEN A LUMIA 630, I consider that totally unfair, given that even the 630 is a total downgrade.
How can that be possible? What can I do?

Lumia 1320 - one day old and hanging

I purchased a Lumia 1320 yesterday (to replace my Lumia 800). I have been using the phone without issues for the past 24 hours. I just finished configuring my data and apps, and it has started hanging.
I have reset the phone a couple of times (holding down the on button for 10 secs). it goes through a reboot, teases me by allowing me to navigate to anything I like, but once I get intyo the application (eg settings, wifi page) I cant get back - the home and back buttons dont function (although the phone vibrates), neither do the camera, on/off, search buttons do anything.
The only thing that does anything is another reset - and all that does is take me back to the same problem
I believe there is 350Mb of storage left on the phones onboard memory.

Are you using external SD card? Probably an incompatible SD card could be causing these issues otherwise it could be a case of faulty device.

After downloading 24.5.0 I get frequent "stalling" and hanging of Thunderbird, on two separate computers with McAfee

While reading mail that has already downloaded, Thunderbird seems to stall when selecting a new message, and I get a message from Windows at the top of the screen telling me that Thunderbird is not responding. If I wait a couple minutes this clears up and I can click on the next message. I can work normally for a while, then it will hang a few times, then it clears up for a while. Windows 7, 64-bit. Happens on two different computers with different apps running, different anti-virus packages, probably not all the settings are identical.

Anti-Virus Related Issues
1. McAfee AntiVirus Plus doesn't create an extension called McAfee Anti-Spam Thunderbird Extension in Tools | Addons | Extensions as noted in the web article. Nothing there. It does create two other plugins in Tools | Addons | Plugins. One is called McAfee Security Center and the other is called McAfee Virtual Technician. Disabling either had no impact upon mail performance. Yes, I closed the application and restarted it after turning the plugins off to be sure that they weren't still running.
2. Disabling attachment scanning didn't seem to have any impact, but I may have to wait until I get some significant attachments to tell for sure on that.
Routine Sysadmin Chores:
1. Yes, using POP. One computer does not remove mail from the server, the other does, daily. There is no significant build up of old mail on the server. Also, nothing changed in this regard from before installing 24.5.0.
2. I do archive mail, but mostly I clean out the folders. There is not a big accumulation of email in folders, particularly on the machine running McAfee. Regardless, this hasn't changed since I installed 24.5.0.
3. I empty junk and spam folders several times a day on whichever computer is being used, and compact regularly. There is no build up in those folders.
On the bright side, both systems seem to be doing better with mail this morning, before doing anything at all to try and fix the problem. I am going to let this sit for a few days and see how it performs.

Nokia Lumia 720 down volume button not working aft...

Hi just got my Lumia 720 25 days back and now i'm having this issue going on started from today after I wake up my phone the down volume button does not work for a while. What i noticed is until i press the Up volume button the down volume button does not respond anuthing. Is that a software problem ? Because i feel like if i press it little harder than usual it start working fine.
Not sure what to do ? Like it will get resolved with an upcoming update or an hardware issue ? Should I need to check with the Nokia Care.
I already tried to do a soft reset thrice but it still the same. Someone please help !

Even I have the same issue with my Newly purchased nokia lumia 720... Sometime the volume down buttons works perfectly and with time is doesn't work at all is this a software issue... i am facing this since i have downloaded an audio update.... i m tired of resetting the settings i am tired visiting service centers, as they are asking me to leave my phone for 15-20 days as the part is not available with them and my question is. if there is a hardware issue then is should stop working but in my case sometimes it works as perfect as the day i bought the device and sometimes it doesn't work at all. Will this issue be fixed with Amber update... What is the appropriate solutions for this matter please reply......

Thanks for the Prompt Reply.
I'll explain in neat how this happened.
OCCURENCE 1: The first day
1. I purchased my mobile on April 20'th, which is just 2 days after it was released to stores in India.
2. That day night i just tried Wifi, contacts, people hub etc and was going well till then.
3. I wanted to change brightness settings so, i was checking auto, low, high etc. I set it to Low, Then Locked the phone using the button on the side. After a minute i wanted to open up the Camera by pressing on the shutter button (when the phone is still in the locked condition). I did not see any camera opening up. I then tried to Unlock the screen and it dint. I tried almost everything, volume up, down etc.. nothing happened.
I tried to connect the USB cable to the Phone and access it through laptop, and gracefully i saw that the folders appearing on the browser. Hence i confirmed that the phone had power supply and some part of it is still running.
Please note that this just happened as i said 1) change screen brightness - changed few times between options, and finally settled down to Low 2) Locked the screen 3) Tried to Open camera by press and hold Shutter button of camera. -> Thats it after that i was not able to see anything on the screen.. The screen was clear Black and even the windows and other two icons below did not glow for any operation i did..
I had to reset the phone to get something on the display back again.
And clearly to say that - This Problem is not re-producible in the same way again.
OCCURENCE 2: 4-5 days later(This time luckily i dint want to restart, plase read below)
1) I was in the "settings" menu searching something on the settings. I think i set the wifi on and came back to the settings main view.
2) assuming wifi was on, i wanted to go back and open browser, so i press the back key and nothing happened. Still the settings menu was showing up.
3) So i thought it was stuck and tried to click something on the settings. Neither a touch nor any sort of selection was not accepted. instead the screen Freezed in the same Settings menu.
4) NOW, i just randomly tried few moves on the screen just to try wake it up. And i found a glimpse of LOCK SCREEN coming down from the top (i think) in a slow motion (unusual than the normal appearance).
5) Now i have the lock screen infront of me, and i slowly slide it up as usual. The phone was unlocked and then i had the settings menu there which now resumed working.
This was strange to me as a Software Programmer to realize why the lock screen appeared on the fist place and why was the settings menu first was not responding.
Please note that this time i dint have to restart the phone luckily.
OCCURENCE 3: Seven days later after the purchase
1. Installed photosyth. Took a photosynth capture

2. If you see this photosynth image, in some place you will note a Green Color like coating sort of a paint on just the left of the church View. It sort of covers the leaves like a thin green Film.
3. Please note - that was the last frame i shot in the Photosynth lens before i continued to stitch.
4. Stitching complete and the image was just as you see in the above photosynth Link.
5. After this i wanted to use camera normally, and when i do so, i see everything as "that green color" which appears in the photosynth image that i mentioned. i closed Camera and opened it again from the start menu, and NO... Still it was the same green. I wasnt able to see any objects that i aim. Fully green.
6. Left with no options, but in a hurry to take a picture, i had to restart the device..
These are the just three occurences that i had during these 10 days after purchase.
I tried hard later on to test the device by trying the same things, but never happened. I am particularyly bothered ONLY about the issue 1 & 2. Third issue is definely because of PhotoSynth causing something. May be it didnt flush anything out of the camera buffer memory.. or dont know what exactly made that green there in the image and later on the full viewfinder...
The device otherwise works exceptionally well and hence i dint want to immediatly go and check with Nokia Care, because the problem was not perfectly re-producible.
==> What do you think? I certainly feel that it could be a software issue with 1 & 2?
1) Would you be interested in some logs in case the issue occurs again?
2) If the issue occurs again, and i just take the phone immediately to Nokia Care, should i suggest something to them on Your behalf so that they dont try to diagnose something wrong? Because if they reset it, reproducing the issue is hard.
3) Do you think i would need to ask Nokia Care to run any diagnostic tests for "this specific issue"? Do you have such a test available & instructed to all Nokia Care Engineers?
Please suggest. Rest all things in the phone are fine and its absolutely smooth. Even if i exchange, i dont have guarantee / rather convinced that this issue will popup again in the new phone (if at all). So i want to know the root cause before i exchange so that it does not appear again in the new phone.

Nokia Lumia 720 as a touchscreen input device to W...

Dear all.
I have been owning a Lumia 720 since June-2013 and can safely say now that it was an excellent choice.
I would like to use the lumia as a touchscreen input device for my Win-7 laptop. Idea is that the laptop connects to lumia over USB. A drawing app opened on win-7 laptop automatically opens a remote client on the lumia. Stuff that I draw on the lumia using a stylus appears on the laptop.
The biggest driver for this request is that a lot of discussions happen at workplace with colleagues in global locations. Explaining concepts using MS-Paint/MS-Visio while effective is not entirely efficient. So is there a way that I could draw on the lumia and share the drawings over netmeeting/livemeeting?

It may be a bit of a cludge , but you could also use photo beamer and screen shots to share via any web connected screen and if the 720 gets Black at any point the whole phone interface will work on any web enabled screen which would hopefully do exactly what you require.

Problem with store app, lumia 720

hi
i bought lumia 720 few weeks ago, and because i can't download apps from the windows store directly (cuz i'm from syria), i have to download them to the laptop then move them to the SD card, and later open the .XAP files from the store app.
the problem is that THE STORE APP ISN'T WORKIING, it keeps saying "service unavailiable right now. Check back in a little while".
so now i can't download any thing on my lumia and this sucks

Check it by going to Settings>date+time. Also, try checking if the Microsoft account on your phone is syncing properly. Lumia 720 ~ I can't find "speak caller ID"

I have just purchased a new Lumia 720 here in Thailand and set it up in English. I like the speaker calller id of my symbian and it was one of the reasons for buying the 720. However, I cant find the feature in settings. How do i turn it on?

Nokia Lumia 720 capacitive button light leak

I just bought Nokia Lumia 720 a week ago and i discovered the capacitive button has light leaked to the display above.
The display is so beautiful and i like it but the light leak is annoying especially when the display is showing dark colour.
Anyone has this problem?

Its a minimal light leak wouldn't bother me tbh,however you can return the device to point of purchase for replacement,dont forget your receipt.
