Lumia 730 ds : background downloading issue

I've checked it with both data connection & Wi-Fi. My Lumia 730 is not supporting background downloading. It stops when i do some other task on my phone & have to restart it each time & also sometimes d page crashes..
PLZ HELP..

What are you downloading exactly? In windows phone only the app which is currently in foreground will be executed. If any up is in background it will be stopped. Exeptions are speciall background tasks, provided by some apps. Execution of background task could be allowed or blocked in energy saver settings for each app which provides background tasks.
Please check if the app you are using provides background tasks and check if background tasks are allowed for this application.

Lumia 730 wifi issues and glance screen option

I am having issues with wifi.
Though the wifi is connected, i was not able to use internet either browse / apps.
The wifi only works then, need to off and on.
This is happening right from the start of purchase.
Sometimes i use to soft reset and use, it works fine for the halfday and there goes issue again.
Previously i was using Lumia 720, and upgraded to 730 due to dual sim, with the same wifi router at home and at office.
Could you please help here.
Also why there is no Glance Screen option in Lumia 730.
Why Why...lumia devices(hardware) differ from one device to other devices though its a same combinaiton of Hardware + Software.

Lumia 730 heating up issue

I have purchased lumia 730 dual recently from online and i have been using it for past 3 days. My phone gets heated up quickly on both sides (on screen and rear cover) even on minimal usage (like, browsing through wifi for 15-20 mins continuously without any apps running on background) and eventually restarts automatically . Very much disappointed being a first time lumia user. Have done resetting and Software is updated too. Please help with a solution.

Connectivity Issue in nokia lumia 730 dual sim

I am facing a problem from last couple of days. My phone failed to retrieve data connection while I am turning it on after I switched it off for several hours. I need to do a reboot or sim change every time to get it. Please help me in this issue.

Hi, subha686. Does this issue happen regardless of your location? Have you tried to use the SIM card in another compatible phone just to check if you'll still encounter a problem retrieving data connection? You may try the steps provided here: Nokia Lumia 730 Dual SIM - Troubleshooter.

LUMIA 730 data connections issue found

This is the second problem i have notified in my lumia 730 after 10 days usage. I can't find the data connection switch to turn off after surfing a long while in 2g connection. And the same appears after restarting the phone. My phone takes to much time for shutdown as it shows "GOODBYE" message for atleast 60 seconds.
For information - I am using transcend 8gb class-2 SDHC memory card and i had stored 30apps (3.62gb apps including asphalt8). Please give me a solution to solve this issue.

I just got my first W8P a Lumia 730 and after few days of usage I becoming to like it & almost recommend it to others until recenty. I am experiencing exactly the same problem like on this thread and on the shared screeshoots. During this state my phone's cellular+sim settings is deactivated by itself. My phone is unreachable and couldnt make an outgoing call even I had active networks & full networks coverage. If try to dial it doesnt call and it doesnt cancell my current dialed number. I have to restart the phone by hard pressing the switch to make it usable again. It takes something like 2 minutes to restart. When connecting to WiDi thru Miracast, it will disconnect after few seconds. I had 32gb class10 microSDHC attached, one of the best in the market as they advertized but I suffered accasional crashed. Checking your phone's network setting from time to time worrying that you may miss an important call is the last thing we want from our phone. I'd like to ask your technical support I supposed I am on the right site, please help us.

Nokia lumia 730 issues

I have seen some new users of lumia 730 have reviewed that their lumias don't heat up easily, but quite a few day ago after using the phone lightly for 2 weeks, my lumia is getting heated rapidly while using the games app and using internet explorer with 3g on. Also I have seen significant frame skipping in games app, which is unexpected to me as my older lumia 720 was butter smooth. Also I saw some lags in start screen while using mix radio app.
It will be really helpful if some one tells me whether those are software bugs or my lumia is defective. I updated it to the latest denim version two weeks ago, but I noticed those issues 4-5 days ago.

Hi adrianhughes, I have a question for you. Heating, over heating terms are abstract. The heating which I feel is normal you may feel over heating. Is there any standard for it? Wht is the max heating temp, lumia 730 is designed to dissipate?

No, it won't do any harm, but there really is no need to do it routinely, it will not bring any benefits.
Some heating is normal due to the modern, high-powered processor. You can help reduce it by controlling what you have running simultaneously. If you feel the heat is a serious issue, get the phone checked by a Care point.

On call notifications on lumia 730

Hi all,
As mentioned in my earlier posts I have been using a Lumia 730 for the past 2 weeks and I have come across the following issue which is a bothering point for me. Not sure if anyone else have come across the same issue. While on a call I can still hear notifications of my mails, SMS, coming in. Sometimes the phone gives a vibrating alert too not sure what this is and how do I turn off these on call notifications. I don't need any notifications during the call apart from call waiting. Kindly let me know how do I get rid of this on call notifications. Please help.

As far as I know, there isn't a setting to stop the notifications happening if the phone is in call. You can stop the notifications vibrating individually by going to Settings>Notifications+actions, then chossing the app you want to edit notifications for (you would need to do each one individually).

Nokia Lumia 730 Dual Touch with Nail

Hi,
I purchased Lumia 730 Dual Sim but my touch is not wokring with Nail but its working with Gloves. I read on many sites that Lumia 730 has super sensitive touch which works with Nail and Gloves.
Please tell me that your Lumia 730's touch is working with Nail or not If yes I have to claim warranty.
Note: I already enabled High Senstivity from touch settings

This may vary by person on actually how hard they touch the screen,i suffer no issues,there has been isolated issues reported check that you are up to date with the latest software and perhaps reboot the device for now and see if the issue remains,if so return it to point of purchase with receipt.

GPS not working in lumia 730

In my lumia 730,offline navigation is not working.
I have downloaded the map after that when i turn on location and open any of the here drive,here maps or default maps, it shows unable to determine your location.Even when i m connected to internet is shows very inaccurate position and in offline it doesnt
shows my location at all.
I have uptodate OS as well as apps are uptodate and this thing happens both inside as well as in open skys.
Please tell me fix to this.

Lumia 730 review

Hi there,
          Its been 15days i have used my lumia 730. I had found some minor issues that can been resolved. Lumia 730 rocks....
1. Amazing camera quality (front and rear).
2. After installing 86apps (76 in my SD card) in my lumia 730, it just works perfect without any hassle in amazing speed.
3. Much more improved UI in lumia denim.
4. Everyone in my relation who looks at my phone quotes "It looks so slimmy".
5. Cortana-alpha version works very well in quiet atmosphere (I am expecting the full version).
6. Battery life is good.
7. Video in 1080p - sounds good.
8. Best phone in the 14-15k club.
9. Asphalt 8 is working good.
10. Video streaming also works perfect.
11. The best business phone - MUCH IMPROVED MSOFFICE.
12. Syncing with my windows8.1 PC and UNIVERSAL APPS works perfect.
              Now about windows OS, I love windows OS just like anything. My first smartphone is windows phone 6.5(HTC TOUCH VIVA-used 2years prior the period of ANDROID), second is windows phone7.8 (LUMIA 510-used 2years in the period of ANDROID) atlast the windows phone 8.1 (LUMIA 730).
              Suggestions about rear camera - Main camera should be a scratch resistant glass as i had absorbed some scratches in main camera. I had bought with a local retailer who doesn't have any accessories such as flip cover or silicon cover( since the model is brand new).
DON'T USE THE PHONE WITHOUT ANY CASES(accessories).

Not having a scratch-resistant camera lens is probably one of the measures to keep costs down, with most manufacturers you need to put your hands deep into your pockets to get the best quality.
With regard to covers, even if the manufacturer makes them, stocks are usually slow to stock them because they want to see how well a phone sells before they buy stocks of accessories, especially with models that are available in several colours. Likewise, third party manufacturers will only produce model-specific cases when they see it selling well enough to profit.

I can't set up BBM on my nokia lumia 730

Every time I try to set up bbm on my Nokia Lumia 730 it just keeps rolling and says "setting up Bbm" please help.

Do you have a stable WiFi or mobile data connection while setting up your BBM account? I believe you have the updated version of the BBM app, is that correct?
