I'm texting you about my Nokia lumia 800 about my Nokia headphones wen I put them on my Nokia lumia 800 I can't hear them thro my Nokia lumia headphones but outside them can you help listening thro them thankyou

Lumia 800 bluetooth audio very quiet

My Lumia 800 connects to a Bluetooth receiver for playing audio files, with no trouble. However the volume of the stream is very very low. I have to turn up the volume on the phone and stereo to max to hear anything.
Any ideas anyone?

Just to update, I've tried other Bluetooth devices to stream to the stereo, and they all have a good volume levels. So the problem lies with the phone.
Also, headphone is good too.

Lumia 800 headphone and ringing tone loadness

Just upgraded to the latest SW. After that I was listening music with the headphones. Suddenly music started to play very load at the same time with incoming call, almost my head exploded. Not so good feature. Also without headphones, if someone calls me, ringing tone starts always load, then after second or two it goes back to niormal level I have set. Has anybody face similar problems ? P.S. iphone headphones don't work with Lumia 800, nobody can hear me talking, but i can hear them.

The volume bug is solved by the 12072 update I just got in.

Lumia 800, wireless audio options

Is there a way to get better audio than SBC over A2DP on a Lumia 800?

The Microsoft Xbox 360 bluetooth headset works and supports ADP2. Listen music, watch videos Youtube or Netflix wirelessly. Expect to pay $40-50 for this headset.

Lumia 800 disastrous audio quality

Here goes my happy honeymoon with the phone.
I was fairly happy with the phone until I tried to listen to music on it. Sound quality (no matter which headphones I use, up to Westone 3) is awful. There's no bass whatsoever, the sound is dirty, no stereo separation etc. etc.
Really, I haven't heard anything as awful in years.
And here's a confirmation. This is such an outlier among modern phones I really can't get how this passed the quality control.

Let's stick to the sound problem with listening to music via the jack output here.
This issue has nothing to do with beeing audiophile. Even you hear the difference between a cheap onboard soundcard and the worse Lumia.
I use 20€ in-ears. Because of in-ears, I don't have much backround noise in trains. On this rather cheap headphones (far away from beeing audiohile, you see) I hear the lack of sound quality without comparing. Especially tracks with a lot of bass sound bad beceause of the low-cut, the review we posted above confimed.

To reach a bit of enjoyment, I have to max out the Volume. Is this really necessary on a 2011 high end smarphone priced at 500€, while my N82 was fine?
I would be glad if I knew that Nokia is aware of the problem. Maybe it's a software issue. If it's a Hardware issue, then at least implement an Equailizer!
The sound is not desastrous, but simply not good enough.

Connecting external mic to Lumia 800

Is it possible to connect an external microphone to the Lumia 800? Audio pickup quality when recording video is not so good with the in-built mic.

I think the only way would be connecting a wired hands-free set to the phone and using the Mic on that

Lumia 800 - can't use headphones

Hello here,
My name is Adel and I would like to get some support for my Nokia Lumia 800.
Basically the problem is that headphones don't work with it, the phone doesn't recognize them.
I checked for dust, nothing.
I resetted it, nothing.
Tried to get to an earlier version of windows phone? Nothing.
Tried to change headphones, nothing.
Sent it to Nokia local store, after two weeks, i got back my phone with headphones finally recognized by the phone, but it was a short glory, one day later, the same problem is back. No headphones can be connected to the phone. And, I used the headphones that were given in the box when i bought the phone.
I really have troubles finding a similar solution over the net, feels like I am the only one in the world experiencing this issue
So guys, I would really appreciate if you could help me fix it please.

Audio distorted after Lumia 800 vibrates while tak...

If I'm recording a video and an SMS or other notification comes in that causes the phone to vibrate, the rest of the audio recorded after the vibration will sound extremely distorted/broken. Is this a known issue with all Lumia 800s or do I have a faulty device? Not sure if this is a hardware problem and if the phone needs to be returned or a case of waiting for a software update...

As this is the first post I've seen regarding this issue, I couldn't say, however you could call your nearest care centre and check, or if you're worried get it in the post asap. If it were a common problem it would nornally have caused a number of posts regarding the issue, also has the issue occurred on more than one occasion ?

Another audio bug - Lumia 800

I did a quick look and couldn't find anything similar, except what could be a related bug with the audio/messaging tone. I am using the latest firmware 1600.2487.8107.12070 on an RM-819 model Lumia 800.
The bug occurs when playing audio using the background audio player API and the device's speaker and trying to adjust the volume. If, for example, I have the audio at 30 when it starts playing and try to reduce it, the volume will reduce as expected until it gets to a random number between 1-30. Once it hits that number, the volume will jump all the way back to 100%. Once it hits 0, the audio will mute.
I can replicate this bug 100% of the time when using an app that utilises the background audio player API. When using the Zune music player app the bug does not appear.

I am having the same problem. When I am playing a game (eg. NFS) as I reduce the volume, it works fine till 6/30 and below 5/30 it blows off at full blast.
Today as I was playing minisquadron I noticed in some places eg just before the game loads, suddenly the volume increases.
I've read on wmpoweruser that the latest update has been withheld by a carrier in Australia because of this bug.
Hope Nokia fixes it soon.

Lumia 800 output speaker problem

I have an issue very unconfortable with my lumia 800. When I plug it on my desktop speakers to play music and I want to go to the next song it makes an odd sound like a desconexion/conexion of the jack.
Then if I stop the music I hear like a pulse of sound.
Has somebody the same problem?

I'm having the same issue when i plug the my new Lumia 800 phone on the car audio system.
I had a Samsung Focus, and that problem never happened, so the problem is with the Nokia phone.

Lumia 800 has no "Podcast" option in MarketPlace?

Hi All,
I have a shiny new Lumia 800 and have read all support documentation I can find and, apparently, "to download an audio or video podcast on your phone" I go to "Start, tap Marketplace, and then tap Podcasts."
My problem is that I go to "Start, tap Marketplace" and then find that there is actually no "Podcasts" option! I only have "Nokia collection", "applications", "games", and "music".
Why no podcast option?
Some documentation I've found says "Subscribing to podcasts on your phone is not available in all locations or languages." but I cannot find anywhere that lists if it should be available in Australia.
Please, someone tell me I can get podcasts with this phone? If not, well... fail.
Wondering if I need to download an app for this?

If, in Marketplace, you select 'Applications', then search for 'Podcast' you can see what is available to you.
Personally I now download mine to laptop and sync via Zune.

Can`t fast forward youtube movie in Lumia 800

Any one could help, I am unable to forward youtube movie with Lumia 800 which is quite annoying. Similar problem with Nokia Music as well if I want to fast forward any audio song I am unable

If Music is playing and you push the volume button you can hold the forward button and it scrolls through the the number but for YouTube I don't know same problem on Lumia 900.

Lumia 800 citroen

My Lumia 800 connects to my car (citroen c3 picasso) over Bluetooth. Calls work perfectly, it can even read out my texts to me. But, I can't get my music to stream over Bluetooth. Does anyone know if there's something I can do to make this work?

Welcome to the forum!
You can play your music files by using standard 3.5 mm audio cable. Nokia Lumia has an American Headset Jack (AHJ) 3.5 mm connector which is compatible with your car 3.5 mm audio connection but it is not supported if you're going to use it over Bluetooth.

Lumia 800 stopped working

I had my Lumia 800 for almost four weeks now. every thing was fin until today. I was listening to music and it stopped working. the phone was fully charged. when I connect headphones, I can hear noises(like the phone is on) but the screen is black and I cant get it to display anything like the phone is dead
I tried all buttons, USB to PC connections and replacing sim card, none of that made any change to the phone's condition
can anyone tell me what is wrong with it and how can I fix it?!!!

i had the same problem, its because your service provider needs to update the settings . i rang orange up told them that my nokia lumia 800 could receive messages but not send them. they then asked me to type in the sms centre number in but the phone wouldn't save it, so they then sent me a text. telling me to delete this text and turn off the phone, i turned the phone off for a minute or two, turned it back on and then after that it was back to normal. took about 5 minutes.
