Lumia 800 Sim card slot broken - Any suggestions?

Hi all,
I've had my lumia 800 for a year now and loved it, but unfortunately I dropped it on the corner closest to the sim card slot, and it appears that the clip which stops the sim card holder from springing up has been damaged so it won't stay in place anymore and pops up. This obviously means that the phone doesnt detect the sim and turns off.
Does anyone have any suggestions on what I could do? I'm considering whether or not I could remove the spring that keeps forcing it to pop up, otherwise it might have to be a tape-down job on my beautiful phone

Unfortunately we aren't allowed to discuss any internal self repairs due to this forums rules so you are on your own with the spring question.
What you could do is contact a Nokia care point and ask for a repair quote. It's likely to be expensive as the whole body would need to be changed. The best option is probably to claim on your insurance, if you have a policy that covers you for accidental damage.

It's A1549 model. Yeah i knew this is US version before i buy this. What i'm confusing now do u think this iphone i bought is a brand new one and why there is a sim card already inside the simcard slot? Even its working smoothly using a network in UAE. Some of my friends bought there US version of iphone but they bought it without simcard inside the sim card slot.

Broken SIM card slot tray holder - N97 mini

I've got my N97 mini since several years ago, and now I meet a problem. I was trying to put my micro-sim with a adapter in it to check if it works, but unfortunately, when I was pulling it out, it got stuck. Then I used a little bit force. However, after it successfully came out, I suddenly found that the SIM card slot tray holder bended and was a total mess.
Have anyone else experienced like this? How and where to repair it in VIC? And how much does it cost?

Oh no. Did the same thing with my N8 a few years back and had to have it replaced at a Nokia Care point. I really feel for you buddy as it is quite catastrophic and can damage the phone. Your best bet is to actually follow the Nokia Care procedures on the Nokia Australia website. All the Nokia Care points across Australia have closed down (here in Perth, and one I saw in Melbourne on that main street near the main railway station, Flinders is it called, that one is closed down too). Therefore the procedure is that you have to send it off to Rydlemere in NSW where they will assess whether they can repair then mail it back to you.

IF the phone was unlocked by Sprint for international use, it will work on any compatible (non U.S.) GSM carrier.
If it was NOT unlocked before you acquired it, you will need to move to the US and establish service with Sprint, then wait the minimum amount of time specified by their policy before they will agree to unlock it for you.
If you are not a Sprint customer, you bought the wrong phone.

My iPhone 4s does not have a sim card slot at all .

i recently bought a iPhone 4d from someone, but neither of us know the apple id. And on top of that My Phone DOES NOT Have a Sim card Slot on the side of the phone. So now im stuck with this phone and i dont know what to do.
It is not a stolen phone. It works perfectly but i cant get pass the activation screen

All X61 models have the moulding in the body shell for a SIM slot, but they don't all have a SIM reader or antennas installed, let alone a 3G card.

I noticed that I have a sim card slot at the battery area. I didn't get a Gobi card, but I wonder if there are any other options of making it work, and how exactly do I configure sim cards to get mobile internet?

Not sure if this question has already been answered.
As of now, no, there is not a way of having 3G internet without a WWAN card in the computer. You can connect to Wifi with the built in Wireless LAN card but not mobile internet. The Sim card is from a provider like Verizon, or Nextel here in the USA. You would have to have the WWAN card installed into the mSATA/pci-e slot and also a contract with a wiress provider or an internet provider. This is the only way to have full mobile internet.

I'm looking at this phone as a Second alternative) I've been looking at the Moto X really hard but i wouldn't mind this phone as an alternative to go with but I have a Question to ask and that is the Sim Card Slot it's also were the Volume Toggle is and that kind of concerns me a bit of Wearing out it, From what I can see and I'm limited on that! the Sim holder look's to place the Sim Card a ways in the phone not right at the edge but I'm still wonder if moving the Volume Toggle will cause looseness or Play in the Card..
I'm asking Forum Members and Verizon Employees that own this phone and have had some time carrying it) Have you seen any issues at all if you have please post as this will make a Decision for me in purchasing the phone.. Thanks for your Time.. b33

Iphone 4S: Do they ALL come with a sim card slot?

The company I'm trying to connect the phone with says phones with a sim card slot cannot be activated, so instead of buying an Iphone 4 (which I don't want, due to the slower speed and less camera pixels), I figured I'd give one last try and see if anyone on here knows.

That sounds odd. All iPhone 4S and 5's come with SIM slots. The only iPhone model that does not have a SIM slot is the Verizon (CDMA) iPhone 4. Every other iPhone has had a SIM slot, from the original to the 5.

You don't need to get the SIM immediately. You can activate the 3G data option at any time. You would need to check with the cellular providers in your area for options they offer.

The Verizon iPhone 4 is a CDMA only phone. It is not physically possible to use it on a GSM network. It doesn't have the right parts. Also, we can't discuss jailbreaking here.
