Lumia 820 and digi pen SU-1B support ?

Phone found pen and accept pin, but then connection lost.
Does anyone better knowledge of windows phone support of this accessory?

Windows phone does not support that accessory. It's highly unlikely that support will ever be added for it given the age of that product.

Lumia 820 and BH-111

I have recently bought a Lumia 820 and tried to pair it with a BH-111 headset (which I already had). The headset was earlier paired with my older phone Nokia E-75.
The two devices were paired without too many problems, but then the ring-tone on the handset (which is a custom one) and the one I hear on the headset (which is the default nokia ringtone) is different. Why does this happen? Is there any solution for this?
I am utterly confused by why this is happening...

You face a software-interoperability issue, caused either by the Audi MMI 2G or Lumia Cyan.
A Nokia N8 used Symbian as operating system. Symbian supported the Bluetooth profiles HFP and SAP. Your Audi supports HFP, that for sure. However, it was possible to order your car with HFP+SAP. Therefore, I am not sure if you had used SAP with your Nokia N8 – a Nokia Lumia 820 supports HFP only. You can test yourself, if this is the cause: Nokia N8 » Menu » Settings » Connectivity » Bluetooth » Remote SIM mode » Off. Then re-pair your Audi and your Nokia. Does the Nokia N8 behave the same now? Then, this is ‘normal’ behaviour of the Audi MMI.
No? The Nokia Lumia 820 uses Windows Phone 8 as operating system (software) and Lumia Cyan as drivers (firmware). Windows Phone 8 has a complete different implementation of the Bluetooth profile HFP compared Symbian. You hit a implementation glitch, a software bug, a interoperability issue. One bit in software is enough to cause things like that, a single 1 or 0 at the wrong position.
Because I do not own a Audi MMI 2G myself, wild guessing starts:
Nokia » Menu » Settings » Bluetooth » Advanced » Use an alternate … » and then re-pair.
If you are on the latest Audi MMI 2G software version, did you reset your MMI already?

Lumia 820 and non-Nokia Bluetooth headset

Hi,
just got a new Lumia 820 and paired my Sonyericsson bluetooth headset HBH-DS980 supporting the v2 A2DP bluetooth profile. Result is that phone calls are working but listening to music over bluetooth is not possible.
Doesn't the Lumia support the standard A2DP bluetooth profile ?
I have used the Headset with Sonyericsson phones, PCs and Android tablets for several yeards so I am bit reluctant to blame the headset in this case ...
Does the Lumia have a non-backwards compatible or proprietary bluetooth stack
In that case I would question the intelligence of the design ...

Issue resolved
Restart of phone + restart of headset and voilá we have sound.
Otherwise OK except for a high pitched whining background noise.
It seems like windows phone is like normal windows, no driver & HW update possible without system restart

Lumia 820 and LTE enabled firmware. Czech Rep.

I have Czech distribution of Lumia 820 with LTE disabled. Now all mobile operators in Czech Rep. are starting to build LTE networks - like Vodafone i my area (http://www.vodafone.cz/o-vodafonu/o-spolecnosti/pro-media/tiskove-zpravy/detail/vodafone-spousti-tes...)
When will be new firmware distributed in Czech Rep. for Lumia 820 with LTE bands enabled? Thanks.

No on knows and there is nothing you can do but wait. Not unless you want to follow those unoffical procedures which this forum does not support nor allow.

Nokia lumia 820 and whatsapp

if i want to install the app from store the phone states 'this app is nog for this phone'
it shows version 2.8.2.0 for whatsapp. I've read somewhere version 2.8.8.0 is for the lumia 820.
anyone has a solution to get whatsapp on my phone

Microsoft store should present the correct version for your phone when available. WhatsApp is not a Nokia app and as such you might be better of asking at their support site.

Lumia 820 and sync with PC

Ok had major issues with Lumia 820 which I got yesterday, as I wanted to upload my contacts and ringtones and music to the phone, now reading the guide I thought this would be so straight forward, insert the USB cable and bingo should sync straight away, well the fun begins.
Inserted said cable and found phone but that was it came up in explorer but couldn't see anything, well after trolling all the web sites and saying you need Net framework, Zune, this software that software, and after doing all these things still no go, so tried a different laptop with W7 and installing some more software still had same problem, so now thinking it must be the phone.
Removed battery, done hard reset (thanks Nokia for loosing my photos) still nothing, then removed Sim card still no go, then removed the the SD card and BINGO the phone would sync.
So it would seem if you have a SD card inserted then the phone won't sync this as wasted hours of my time just to get this to work.
Put the SD card back into my old HTC and that would sync ok.
Perhaps Nokia would like to comment.

Sorry to hear of this. First off, this is a user to user support platform so if you want to address this with Nokia I suggest you contact your local Nokia Care.
Losing your photos honestly is not Nokias fault in any way. You have the option to have them synced to the SkyDrive attached to your MicroSoft Account and they might even be there.
Whether or not this is an issue with the phone or maybe the SD card (what make/type?) is another matter, but as this would seem to be an isolated incident I would not be to quick to blame Nokia for this.
And your Lumia 820 will not require Zune at all, You need to have Windows XP SP3 or later installed for MTP to be available which is what is used to make the phone available in Explorer. No additional software required.

Lumia 820 and sharing of pdf document

I have mobile phone Lumia 820. There I have adobe reader and there a pdf document, which one I would like to share by e-mail. I made registration and password and try to share getting info "sharing via Acrobat com". That continued about one hour and then I canceled it. The size of document is 64 kb. Is sending possible or not?

Lumia 820 and XP

I have been transferring files no problem from my pc (xp) to my 820 but all of a sudden the pc no longer recognizes the phone.....it was working fine but now....nothing!
It's driving me crazy!!! Any idea's?

Staying on the subject of Windows XP, does Lumia 820 working okay with windows xp? I am about to enter the world of Nokia Lumia 820 after reviewing the iphone5, Samsung S4 etc but my bigger concern was the ease and compatibility of Windows xp since th ephone is operating with Windows 8. Do all apps work fine and is that a great phone for web browsing, GPS, camera use and video recording use and can these be transferred onto a PC very quickly.
WOuld you recommend an alternative better phone to the 820? The contract i am comparing th edifferent options with is the one with unlimited data.
New to this so thank you all for your comments.

NFC - Disconnecting problem on Lumia 820 and Lumia...

First, we have 2 Lumia 925 and 3 Lumia 820 all on Amber and latest updates. and having problems with connecting by tapping the phones with NFC tagged headsets which are:
Nokia Essence BH-610
Nokia Bh-221
Nokia Purity Pro Bh-940
and also JBL Powerup and JBL Playup.................
Every time when tapping the above headsets or whatever with the Lumia phones mention above I have to retapp the the phone so they reconnect and bluettoth start to be activated.
This has been going on for a while now and it is frustrating to use NFC which is far better implemented on my 808 Pureview which never fails this easy task..to connect and stay connected...without the hazzle...mentioned..
There are also other audio and sound problems which have stopped our progress for going further with Lumia phones here and actually reconsider ...
The gasply Tunein reconnecting and restarting playing after pausing and not hearing incoming sms and phone when connected to a bluetooth enabled NFC headset (if not the headset is on the head (purity pro) or in the ear (BH-610) at the time the incoming sms or email arrives of course)
There are more examples and I can clearly see in this forum that Microsoft and Nokia dont have it all figured out considering there are a lot threads about sound, volume and that kind of problem related things.
And this thing about not being able to have different audio levels for music, calls or whatever...come on...gosh.

Same problem on Lumia 620, connecting by tapping to NFC-enabled headset like Nokia Essence BH-610.....disconnects almost directly and then tap again, connecting and firmly connected after that.
Well, also worth mention not to be ok is that when disconnecting the headset by tapping the phone is that bluetooth doesnt switch of automatically. "On real" smart phones like Nokia 701, 700 and 808 Pureview bluetooth then disconnect.
Time consuming all this.....not to mention all the hazzle when on the run...
An example the other day after listening to Tunein radio, coming to a meeting and pushing pause and disconnectyed the3 headset.....a minute after that the Yunein-radio starting to play loud and clear through the phones loudspeaker....emabarrasing to say the least.
Not reliable at all....lives on it´s own terms, not mine....

Lumia 820 and applications with Skydrive

Alright, I'm having a quite irrtating problem with my Lumia820.
I'm using apps that have skydrive support, each of them worked flawlessly on lumia710 with wp7.5, now however they fail to work correctly on wp8. The problem is that I cannot access any contenct from skydrive:
blue tomato and purple cherry refuse to connect with skydrive no matter if I'm on data plan or wifi
vNES doesnt connect, and throws "Invalid numeric literal." error when I try to refresh it.
Nokia reading throws "We weren't expecting that - Something's gone wrong. Please check your connection and try again" error, how informative
I have contacted one of the devs and his answer was that "it works on my lumia 920". From what I googled up it might seem that me being from Poland mixes something out in language code or whatever (source) but obviously i would like to have some solid answer from phone's manufacturer.
Also it seems that not all applications are concerned with this error, for instance bookviser works OK.

At this point I would guess it's app related. Keep jogging the developers on this, maybe get onto Nokia Betalabs or Nokia Developers site to get more information.
Besides users having the same issue it seems there is not much you can find out about this here.

Lumia 820 4G support in India

I have indian lumia 820 and I heard that it dosen't support 4G networks yet in India. Is it true?
If it's true will there be any future firmware upgrade which can enable the 4G support.

Access points settings Lumia 820

I just want to know if it is possible to have both MMS and GPRS active at the same time in windows 8 phones. That was possible with Symbian but not possible on my Lumia 820.

Regarding your query, the access point that you have on the Lumia 820 will be used as one. If you have both MMS and GPRS, you can use them both at the same time. You don't need to choose between the two ( 2 ) access point anymore. Your statement "not possible on my Lumia 820" means that you are having trouble with the phone. Can you tell us what exactly is happening on the phone? Is there any error happening on it? If there is, can you tell us what the error is?

You may go to the 'Nokia Collections' and look for the said app. You may also download the Nokia Music app here: http://www.nokia.com/global/featured-apps/. Just go to the Bing Search on your phone > tap on the scanner (eye icon) > tap on the QR code on your computer.

My screen got cracked of Nokia Lumia 820

I have a Nokia Lumia 820 and its front glass got cracked. My display is alright but my touch is not working on the crack but elsewhere on the screen touch is working fine can someone tell me the problem and its cost. I am living in India.

You will need to contact Nokia Care in your area, they will provide a quote for replacing the screen. It's impossible to say what it will cost because each authorised repairer will provide a quote that includes both the components needed and their labour cost for carrying out the work, so just see the Microsoft web site for your country and you'll find information on how to get the phone fixed in the support pages.
