Lumia 820 can't read my SD card

Hi,
I've got a strange problem with my microSDHC card (ADATA 16GB Class10). My 820 can't recognize it. There's no 'problem information' - the smartphone just doesn't see it. There's only internal storage able to use... I've done phone reset, I've done card formatting (to FAT24, ExFAT, NTFS) but there was the same problem every single time, again and again... I spent a lot of time and cash for buying this lumia and the card and now I am disappointed despite the smartphone is great... But without the storage it's almost useless.
Can you help me? What can I do? My card seems to be fine, because my notebook reads it perfectly. I can save and read files with no problems so I've got no idea what is going on...

Strange, what I see is almost exclusively people with Class 10 which have the problem. I am not aware of any MS updates which are specifically directed at solving this issue, although that does not mean that there isn't one in the works.

The same thing happened a few months ago. I figured it was an old card and probably damaged so bought a new one but this one has the same problem. my port was checked in store a couple of months ago too. I am running out of ideas....

How long has it been since you fully formatted the SD in the camera? I ask because some cameras are very good at messing up the card just enough that while they can read/write to it fine other systems may be confused. All it takes is a minor firmware glitch.
If you haven't hard formatted the SD in the camera for a while try downloading your pictures by connecting the camera to the iMac via USB. After the download is complete--and you have verified that it is full and complete--format the SD in the camera, snap a photo, then try connecting the SD directly to the iMac.
Might not work, but worth a try as it's free to do.
Another thing is to make sure that the firmware in your camera is up to date.

It is 99% hacked/jailbroken iPhone to use a different carrier than intended. You have to put the sim from the original carrier or ask them to unlock the iPhone. We as well as Apple cannot help you with this.

Lumia 820 - Offline Map data on SD card

I have same problem on my Lumia 820. Other map applications also failed. After trying many quick options i then used Nokia Software Recovery Tool to reinstall the phone software (latest black version). Here Maps and Drive did then work but I found it was not accessing map files from the SD drive (settings back to original defaults). I then used Lumia Storage Check app to try and change map storage from phone to SD card. Then when trying to check the maps using the same app I found it would tell me overall folder size of map folder but not show me the list of maps stored. I then went back to the Here Maps app and found it was again no longer working. Changing the default storage back to phone using the Storage Check app immediately solved the problem. Therefore it looks like the problem is caused by the Lumia Storage Check App and/or the SD card. My next step - and I know almost nothing about the technology here - I tried to clear the map files from the SD card in case they were corrupted. I could not do this as the files were write protected. However i was able to delete one subfolder. I then went back to Lumia Storage Check and again set map storage to my SD card and again tried to look at the map files listed using the app. To my surprise it started working and the list of country maps on the SD card appeared. Also the Here Maps and Drive+ appsare now working with the storage set to the SD card. Other mapping software eg Run The Map is also now working. Given my explanation above perhaps someone with real technical knowledge can provide a proper explanation and solution.

Sounds like the memory card itself is corrupted. Please,
format your card via Nokia Lumia » Menu » Settings » Phone Storage » tap on the card » (at the bottom of the screen) format SD card.

open not the Settings but Nokia Lumia » Menu » Lumia storage check » (swipe right) Details » Maps change » Store maps on SD card
touch the button maps below and install the desired countries
This works here for my Nokia Lumia 820 with Nokia Black.

Your iPhone was hacked to unlock it. Now that you have updated it has cleared that hack and is locked with the original cell provider. Call AppleCare and give them the model and serial number and they can tell you the cell provider it is locked with. Then contact that cell provider and see what their unlock policy is and if you qualify.

CBT 3.4 can't read MC20x20 Line Card

Dear All,
I have a CBT (Cisco Broadband Troubleshooter) v 3.4 apllication installed in our network. However, it can't read MC20x20 Linecard in the spectrum analyzer for the example. I read in the documentation that is supported. In our system, it only can read MC5x20.
Is there some configurations to do that?
please help me if you have some experience to solve this issue. thank you

I have try and find that the CBT 3.4 can't read MC20x20 in SCG/SCH IOS version, but it can read in SCD version. let me know if someone can use CBT3.4 and read in SCG/SCH IOS version.

Lumia 820: can't open email+accounts in Settings

I just bought a Lumia 820 and want to to set up my different accounts for it but when I go to Settings>Email+accounts nothing happens, after going to a black screen showing the text "Loading..." for a few seconds, the text "Resuming..." comes up very briefly and then I am brought back to the Settings page. I've tried rebooting and soft resetting (vol down+power button) a couple of timers already but this doesn't help.
Anyone knows what could be going on?

Only other option is hard resetting (please backup all your personal data first), by going into Settings > About > Reset your phone.
If that doesn't work, then you will need to take your phone to your local Nokia Care point for them to inspect.

I just recently purchased an Iphone 5c. I damaged the sim card reader by accident and now the phone can't read my sim card. I was wondering if I can bring my phone in to an apple store and will they install one into the phone for me? And if so how much $$

So can I bring the Phone in to get a new sim card readser repaired? And if yes would the one year warranty every ihpone have cover the repair, or will I have to pay. And if I have to pay, about how much money will it cost.

HT4489 Can iCloud read a v-card (.vcf) exported by Outlook 2003?

I just set up iCloud and got my iPhone contacts up there. I noticed it will import & export v-cards. I tried exporting one but have no idea where it went on my PC (Windows Vista). I tried importing one which I had exported from Outlook 2003 but got a message that there was a problem. Here's the text of my v-card (with the personal data changed):

Lumia 820 - Can't open Heathrow Express ticket

I have just bought a Heathrow Express ticket and when I click the link received by SMS and I try to download it says downloading and then tap to open but I get the message that I need to install an app for this task. When I click yes to search for one in the store it says no apps found.

HP ENVY 17t Quad - SD Card Reader - can it utilize an SDXC Card

I have the H Envy 17t Quad . Can it properly and safely utilize an SDXC Card?
My specific specs are at bottom of posting.
I have looked thru the Maintenance and Service Guide and cannot find any info regarding the SD card reader specs.

As I stated your specifications do not state the exact cards it supports. I regret that I am unable to give you a yes or no answer.
If you check around the card reader itself, sometimes on the bottom of the notebook, it will list the supported card types. If not all I can suggest is try and see. If it seems if the card is too small for the slot, you may need an adapter for an SDXC card.
Here is a link to SD/SDHC/SDXC Specifications and Compatibility( from scan disk support). Please note this quote"NOTE: Internal card readers on laptops from 2008 and prior may NOT support SDXC cards.
