Plz,help me my Lumia 820 showing sim card error what can i do and my phone is under warranty but i don't have bill
Have you tried the sim in another phone to check its not the sim thats faulty??? If you can do this and try another sim in your phone and the error remains the sim tray may be damaged ,it will need to be sent off for testing.

I have problems with my E65 after upgrading to the latest firmware (v3.xxx)
Every now and then it will prompt me with a message that shows "Sim card error" or "insert sim card".
The sim card is always in the phone. It was never a problem before. Also, I have remove the sim card from the E65 and test it on another phone (HTC) and there were no such problem.
That concludes the problem is on the E65. Pls kindly help.
Thanks.I also had this problem on my E51, but have now managed to find the cause. It actually has nothing to do with the SIM card, so don't bother replacing it.
If the phone is kept in one place and isn't moved, the message never appears, but then that defeats the purpose of having a mobile phone!
The problem is caused by the connectors on the battery, which should form a tight grip around the the pin connectors of the phone. The battery that came with my phone never caused the problem, but when I inserted a replacement, every now and then when I put the phone in my pocket, the 'Insert Sim Card' notice would appear
I then compared the two batteries and noticed the replacement's connectors were further apart than the original's. Carrying the phone in my pocket obviously caused some movement, which momentarily disconnected it from the battery and caused the phone to error.
Since then, I have only used the original battery. However, I suspect the problem could be fixed by using a small instrument to bring the battery connectors closer together or by inserting a small piece of aluminium foil to ensure a constant connection.
Not sure, but this may also work for N95/E65 users too.
The E51 is a fantastic phone and the best one I have used to date. -
Lumia 1020 SIM card error after WP8.1 update
I updated my wife's Lumia 1020 to WP8.1. Ever since there has been random SIM card errors. The phone just drops the network while it's idle (not during the phone calls) and gives an error message "SIM card error".
Anybody who has experienced the similar thing after installing WP8.1 update???

I'm getting a no SIM card error. When I got a new SIM card it now says no service! My cell provider assures me it's not on their end, which makes sense as we have 2 more iPhones on the same account! Any ideas?

I would imagine your iPhone was hacked to make it work on your local carrier.
Updating the iOs to 5.xx will lock it back to the original carrier .The carrier holding the lock are the only
entity able to authorise the unlock .You will have to contact them and see if they unlock and the terms the apply -

How to restore my itunes to 5.0.1???Well, welcome to the world of "hacked" phones. If your purchase was from the US, you obviously purchased an iPhone that is locked to a US carrier. The iPhone must have been jailbroken and unlocked via software to accommodate your foreign SIM card. Now that you have updated the phone, it is locked back to the US carrier. Only the carrier can authorize Apple to unlock the iPhone and none of the US carriers will unlock the iPhones. Best suggestion is to sell the phone and obtain a factory unlocked version directly from the Apple store.
To answer your other question, there is not a supported method to downgrade iOS. -
Mutt phone keeps saying no service because of a SIM card error? What does that mean and how do I fix it? It has done it twice I today's now and it very frustrating as I cannot make any calls.
Try reseating the SIM card or replacing it.

No SIM card error - How to fix?
I have started receiving No SIM card error messages and they are increasing with regularity.
Suggested solutions that I have tried but still get the message.
I had AT&T replace the SIM card. Results: Worked for 2 days.
Revisited AT&T and they told me it was a bad port & needed to go to the Apple store.
Researched Apple support and found quite a few people are getting this error message and Apple doesn't know why either.
I am currently making an appointment but thought I'd see if anyone out there has had succes fixing this error.
Read on a non-Apple support site that it could be a "new case" that is causing the problem and since I did get a new case, I removed it and still get the error. Since it was only intermittent, I could restore the service by turning the Airplane mode "on & off". This is working less & less.

Anybody else experiencing intermittent or constant SIM card error msg on phone. Mine just started this afternoon and I have never messed with it before. Sorry to hear that your phone started giving you a SIM card error, bigmandc. What is the make and model of the phone you are using? Have we replaced the SIM card, just in case that is the cause of the issue?

I am getting a Sim Card error these days on my device as Sim card is not getting initialised.
I get an error as " The sim card is from an unknown source"
The same sim works with other device.
The phone was bought in end June 2014.

Which version of software you have installed Z10?
Possibly it fixes with a bar (radio)...
I recommend you make a reload of the BlackBerry OS Link
Connect your Z10 and run BBLink
Then go to preference and press the reload option software
Let the process do all your work, and then you start setting your BB
And load your backup.
And let us know if your problem evidences the persistence.
You must have the latest version of the BlackBerry Link installed

That message occurs when updating a phone that was hacked to be used with your network. Upgrading the phone has re-locked it to it's rightful carrier. You will need a SIM from the original carrier to proceed.

Droid DNA Problem, No SIM card error

I recently upgraded my device to a Droid DNA from HTC. Every so often I get an error message that there is no SIM card in the phone, and I lose the ability to receive or make calls. Usually restarting the device fixes this. I find it obnoxious that I need to restart each day. Has anyone else been seeing this bug?

tonyI had a similar SIM card error from day 1. Three SIM card replacements and one factory reset later, the helpful Verizon employees and I gave up and they shipped out a new replacement. When I personally switched the SIM over (previously a Verizon store person had done the switch), I noticed that there were three large full-length scratches across the SIM card which suggest that perhaps the phone was physically damaging the card. I am going to go into Verizon in the coming days to get a new SIM card and see if the new replacement DNA also scratches the SIM. Have any of you noticed similar damage? Perhaps that explains the errors. And, yes, a reboot, or going in and out of airplane mode generally fixed the problem for me as well (which had made me think this was a software issue until I saw the damage today).
