Lumia 822 Bluetooth Problem

I am pairing my Lumia 822 with my 2010 Nissan Murano.  The signal is breaking up when I call someone.  This happens when I have full signal.  I have tried deleting the Bluetooth connection and re-pairing.  Doesn't help.  Any suggestions.

Hi mate,
Have you checked that all the settings are correct on your phone and the car? If so, then try performing a soft reset (pressing the volume down and power buttons together until the phone vibrates then release). Failing that, you will need to backup all your personal data onto a PC / in the cloud, and perform a hard reset (Settings > About > Reset your phone).
IF that doesn't work, then will need to take your phone back to your point of purchase, or if they are being less than helpful, then to contact Nokia USA via http://nokia.com/support and ask them about the issue.

  • Lumia 620: bluetooth problems since Black update

My Lumia 620 did pair correctly with my car via bluetooth. This is a Citroen C5 with NaviDrive 3D system.
However, since the Black update I have the following problems:
    1) I can successfully pair the 620 once, but it does not reconnect after that.
    2) When I try to switch-off bluetooth after a unsuccessful pairing trial, it does not switch-off completely: the small dots in the screen upper area keep on running and the bluetooth switch stays greyed-out.
    3) When I switch-off the phone completely in this situation it often reboots instantly.
Is someone else recognising these issues?

Thanks for the update, @NL620NL. We can't comment yet if this issue will be addressed by the Lumia Cyan WP 8.1 update, though SW updates are released to fix reported bugs and improve the features of the phone's OS. If resetting the phone didn't work, try restoring its software using the Nokia Software Recovery Tool. See this link: Nokia Software Recovery Tool. The link for the recovery app will lead you to the Nokia UK website. Best to search it in the local Nokia support page: Way Finder - Nokia.
Note that this will wipe out all your phone's data, so making a backup is highly advised. Check this link for the steps on backing up your files: Nokia Lumia 620 - Back up and restore data on your phone.
Let us know how it will go.

    Hi rgisme,
Thanks for your feedback and welcome to the forum.
Windows Phone does not support file transfer through Bluetooth, you can however use Skydrive, attach images and Office documents to a mail or transfer media files using Zune.
Custom ringtones can be used as general or contact specific tones, more information can be found here.
Windows Phone synchronizes contacts and calendars live and in real time with Outlook without the need to actually have the phone connected to your PC running Outlook by using a Wi-Fi or Mobile data connection. You can find more information on this here.
    Hope this helps,

  • Lumia 510 Bluetooth problem

I think lumia 510 must have a basic feature like Bluetooth sharing
I read on Nokia support about Bluetooth share app but I don't find it on marketplace and one more thing I read on comments that through Bluetooth I don't send or receive data from Symbian or android phone so I want help about these problem

    @hami7
Bluetooth Share is pre-installed in device firmware upon 510, at least it is upon my 710 running Windows Phone 7.8 which also received an update for this application today.
Is your 510 running firmware ending in .12460 or .12490 in settings > about > more information?

I have Logitech Bluetooth speaker X100, http://www.logitech.com/en-us/product/x100-mobile-wireless-speaker?crid=1537 which supports Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP).

I have a brand new Lumia 635, which is supposed to support Advanced Audio Distribution Profile (A2DP) - see http://www.nokia.com/us-en/phones/phone/lumia635/specifications. But when I turn on the phone's Bluetooth, it cannot even find the speaker. What is wrong with the phone?

    Hi gabyzune,
The speaker must be in pairing mode to be visible on the phone: Hold down the Bluetooth button on the side of the speaker until you hear a tone. Then find and pair the speaker on the phone.
    Does this help?

  • Bluetooth problem of Lumia 820

I tried two sets of Lumia 820, the problem is : When the phone connected with bluetooth headset (SONY HBH-DS200), and if I turn off and turn on  the bluetooth on Lumia 820 twice or more( keepthe bluetooth headset power on), the Bluetooth function of Lumia 820 must be dead until I restart the phone; But if I turn off the bluetooth headset first, the problem seldom happens.
I hope it can be fixed after the AMBER update!

Any body know how to fix it?
The problem occurs about once a day. when the Bluetooth bug happens, I cannot open it again until restart the phone.
I experienced Lumia 520 for 15 days the bluetooth of 520 works much better than 820!
Note: when the Bluetooth out of work(Status off), the button is grey, and meantime the music player doesn't work either, it looks like paused even I press "PlAY" key, it doesn't play unless restart the phone

  • Nokia lumia 822 - out of luck I guess

I bought the Nokia Lumia 822 when I renewed my contract. Early on the phone was randomly turning itself off during the day and at night. I do not have a land line at home and this is also my business phone. Random shut downs are not safe at night nor good for getting business calls.
In order to get it to come back on I have to either remove the battery or hold the power and volume button down for 20 seconds.
I stuck it out after reading in Verizon's forums that this was a common issue and might be fixed in a software patch release by Nokia/Microsoft.
After several patches and a recent (this week) reset to factory settings the problem has persisted. Just this week it has happened over 15 times causing missed calls.
    No software updates have helped.
The Verizon / Nokia forums still have numerous posts complaining of this issue but Verizon / Nokia does not seem to be aware of it or want to acknowledge it...
I had to reactivate my old Droid X on my line to keep a reliable phone powered on.
I did have a phone and email conversation with technical support who promised a solution and never got back to me. Now she will not respond to my emails.
I don't think another Nokia product will be purchased again.

this is the OS, not phone.  it is happening to other Nokia windows phones as well.  i've had this phone for approx 2 mths and have been told by verizon tech support that microsoft was supposed to issue the patch to correct this issue by the end of june.  ha!  i've made repeated calls to tech support, now they say patch delayed till end of july.  HA! again!!  sad part is, verizon has known this was an issue and continued to sell the phones.  i tried to return my phone within the 2 week period, but was told that the 2 weeks start on the day you ordered the phone, not received and activated it.  now i'm stuck for 2 years with a piece of crap phone.  no more windows phones for me.  i missed the 2 week mark by 24 hours.

  • Lumia 822 wireless charging: really misleading, No...

    Quite annoyed by this:
If you look under Lumia 822 specifications, they say this:
    http://www.nokia.com/us-en/products/phone/lumia822/specifications/
    (Under Hardware):
    Wireless connectivity
    Bluetooth 3.0
    Near Field Communication
    Wi-Fi Channel bonding
    WLAN IEEE 802.11 a/b/g/n
    Qi Wireless charging
However, as it turns out, 822 also requires a wireless charging shell? For the 820, at least you see that as a listed option under Accessories, but for the 822, it is not there?
I dunno - seems wrong to me; why not have a "*" is there is a footnote needed that wireless charging shell is needed? I guess I'll keep the dual wireless charger I bought for the future with the hope that shells will become available and will not cost too much?

@slaverenz-     read the user guide: http://nds1.nokia.com/phones/files/pdf_guides/devices/822/Nokia_Lumia_822_UG_en.pdf
    Page 16.
In order to charge wirelessly, NFC must be enabled.  I talked to Nokia support on the phone.  NFC is necessary to connect the phone to the secondary device, whether it be a charging plate or headset, etc.  When one goes to the settings and turns on NFC, only NFC sharing is enabled.  When the shell that has not been released becomes available, it contains an NFC contact point (square) that must touch with another device to activate (the center of the charging plate for example.  The phone does not charge via NFC, but connects wirelessly to the charging plate through it.

  • Lumia 822 updates returning error code 80072ee2

Purchased a Lumia 822 in January.  On the web, I see the current version of software for the 822 is 8.0.10211.204, hardware is 1532.5951.1250.1012  My phone is currently on 8.0.9905.12 and 1532.2108.1244.0003  It has not informed me I have any updates.  I have gone into settings and requested them manually.  I get a 80072ee2 message "We are currently unable to check for updates."  I made sure I had +40% battery and WiFi was turned on.  In May, I called Verizon, the tech didn't have a clue, got Nokia on the phone, they said it wasn't released for my area yet.  It's now over a month later, still getting the error message.  Does that mean the release (which has been out for AT&T customers since mid-December) still isn't available in my area yet?  Or do I have a problem with my phone?

Interesting--I always started the wireless BEFORE I tried downloading the updates.  This time, since you said turn off the wifi, I tried checking for the updates with the wifi off.  It prompted me to turn it on--AFTER it found the updates.  I did, it downloaded and updated to the current version just fine.  Things the directions DON'T tell you...  I still think it's odd that it never prompted me for the update even though I have checkmarked both "Tell me when updates are available for my phone" and "Automatically download updates if my data settings allow it", but at this point, I don't care.  <GRIN>
    Thank you!

  • Nokia Lumia 822 Lumia Denim Update from Verizon

    Hello All,
I have enrolled in Developer Preview on Nokia Lumia 822. My WPhone got windows 8.10.14219.341
The firmware version is 3051.40000.1352.0042 and it shows Lumia Black in the extras + info.
When I got the Verizon update, i tried to update several times.
It successfully downloads and prepares to install.
When it reboots and try to install the patch, it finishes quickly.
    I get the message:
It's probably a temporary problem. To Try again, go to settings > Phone Update 0x80188308.
What should I do to get Lumia Denim update on my phone? Reset the phone ?
    Please advise.

    Hi TechGuru72,
Welcome to the Microsoft Mobile Community.
Your phone is not running in commercial software because of the Windows Phone Developer Preview Program. Note that it is only intended for developers. In this case, we recommend that you use the Lumia Software Recovery Tool to return it back to the normal commercial software. Check this: http://www.microsoft.com/en-ph/mobile/support/faq/?action=singleTopic&topic=FA142987.

  • Lumia 1020 Bluetooth use requires periodic re-star...

If Bluetooth is left on, after a period of time (typically 15m to 1hr). The WiFi and Blue tooth menu pages become unresponsive. The on/off switch remains greyed out and the only way to recover is with a restart of the phone.
If the phone has paired (with vehicle hands free), there is no problem until the pairing is broken (by turning car off). Some time after this the Bluetooth will stop functioning and the Bluetooth and wifi pages become unresponsive. I cannot leave Bluetooth on unless the phone is paired.
WiFi works without any issue if Bluetooth is left off. It seems that once the Bluetooth problem occurs, WiFi is also affected.
I have worked around this by turning on and off the bluetooth for use only when in the vehicle.
    Firmware: 3050.0000.1338.1003
    OS: 8.0.10328.78
Hard reset factory restore conducted. No change.
Is this a firmware or hardware problem? Is this a common problem?

I hear you Freeball,  exactly the same problem with mine.
Initially I thought my bluetooth problems were solely due to my dodgy TomTom device but after having identical problems trying to pair with my two current Garmin's for handsfree, I've concluded it's definitely a problem with the phone - even when you leave any other devices out of the equation, the phone's bluetooth doesn't behave as you would expect.
It'll pair up perfectly but will never connect again after the connection is broken.  I get the same greyed out status and sliding orange dots as you describe.  Like you, it only responds to a restart of the phone.
Updated to Windows Phone Update 3 and Lumia Black firmware this morning really expecting it might resolve the problem but the behaviour is still exactly the same.
I've been hanging off contacting Nokia until now but just finished an online chat with them with the expected instructions;  hard reset the device.  I'm not going to because I know it's not going to help - you've just confirmed this.
Verifying on the net reveals numerous others are having similar bluetooth issues with their 1020s so I hope Nokia gets on top of it soon.   It's a great phone but this is driving me crazy!
I encourage all others with these issues to speak up.
    Cheers
    Frewster
