i have an lumia 800 and since 2 months a lumia 920
until a week ago i can not get the mixradio working
it keeps saying that it cant get an connection please try again later
ive tried new accounts and even reinstalling the app after an reset
so does anyone have any ideas or solutions that i can try

Images and contacts can be transferred via bluetooth, I've yet to see anything that confirms if other file types can be transferred that way. We should all know for sure on or after the 29th of October.

I have got a new Lumia 920 and have a Nokia Music Unlimited subscription on it. It runs just fine and I am loving it. I am sure its one of the best yet under-marketed feature for Lumia phones.
I had a question. Can I use my unlimited subscription to download songs on my PC as well (using Nokia Music Player). I know I can simply transfer but too lazy!
When I try to sign in from the application, it gives me an option to add the PC as a registered PC. I wanted to be sure if doing that won't impact downloads on my Lumia in any way.

Lumia 710 and 800 audio streaming to my car radio

I have both Lumia 710 and 800, they connect fine via bluetooth when using the call/telephone funtion, but i can't seem to get the media fundtion to connect, well not with any consistency. Every 1 in 100 time the adio will connect via bluetooth and work finebut what i did to get this working I don't know and can't seem to replecate.
I've got a Citroen DS3 12 plate, has anyone had a similar issue/resolution?

Check for updates for your in-car bluetooth system, 2009 hardware is very very old by today's standards, especially since car bluetooth systems are lagging a few years behind other technology by default.

Lumia 920 and Netflix

On my current phone, Samsung Nexus, I've noticed improved quality on Netflix movies. Has anyone viewed Netflix on the Lumia 920 and noticed the support of Netflix in HD?

Certainly doesn't seem to be a problem with your Nokia Lumia 920 as this is also faced by other users as in THIS thread. May be something wrong with the Store or the Servers.. Wait for some time and check again ...

Lumia 920 and updating to Windows 8.1

Greetings, WIndows phone holders.
As the title implies, I have a 920 that I would like to update. I bought my phone outright and do a $25 per month plan through AT&T which does NOT include data, however I am perpetually connected to wi-fi. I am curious (though skeptical) if this might be contributing to the problem I have.
I am currently running 8.0, Lumia Black. When I check for an update, it keeps telling me there's no software update available. Is this true? Not even Cyan? With the advent of Cortana, I started searching for videos of 920s with 8.1 installed. It looks great, and I'd love to get this installed. Is there any reason I can't get this? Is there a plan for 8.1 to come out for AT&T 920s?

I´m using my Lumia 920 in Sweden on operator Halebop. I have opted in to the Windows Phone Developer program so I already have tested theese wonderful improvements.
It is rolling out right now so I searched via the update function under settings but nothing there.
Then I connected to the Nokia Recovery tool and there I have the option to update my device.
The fact that it shows up there may be that the developer version installed hav to be written over by the recovery tool.

Problems in updating Lumia 920 and installing apps

I have had problems with the new (approx. 1 month old) Lumia 920. In the beginning (bout 2 weeks) everything worked fine. Then started synchronization problems with MS account. I was some how able to fix these problems, even they renewed. I thought that the Black update would fix the problems, but the phone did not istalled the update. It started to download the update, but after dowloading 20-50 % of the update the download crashed with some error code. I also had problems to install some apps. App was downloaded to the phone, but duringthe installation the process crashed and reported some error. After one week of trying different kinds of tricks to get the update and installation of apps working I decided to reset the phone to original setting i.e. hard reset. The reset cycle went through fine. i was able to set the MS account and synchronization was working, got e-mail and contacts to the phone. Still the update does not work and now I can not install any apps to the phone. There are over 20 updates waiting, but always the result is the same. App is downloaded to the phone, but during installation the process crashes. I have tried different connections WiFi and mobile data and done the soft reset every now and then. Is there still something I can do myself to try the fix the problem or should I just take the phone to the Nokia Care.

I would recommend you to check your device thoroughly by Nokia Care Technical team or get it replaced because the problems you have described, unluckily it is a defective device.

RUMORED VERIZON GETTING LUMIA 920 and Samsung ATIV S

According to Phone Arena, one of their tipsters has informed them that Verizon will be carrying the Lumia 920, Samsung Ativ S, and the HTC 8X (which we already knew was confirmed). Penciled in dates are in November. Their source is unofficial, but has given them reliable information in the past, so they have reason to beleive it to be reliable. Let's hope that it isn't someone with a sick sense of humor.....

Lumia 920 and Swype

For the last two years I have been using Samsung Galaxy Tab as my daily smartphone. I use it for everything including typing long mails. I can do that easily because I use Swype.
For the first time I consider to buy a Nokia. It is because of the Lumia 920 with its Windows Phone 8, NFC, Camera, wireless charging etc.
BUT - I will miss my Swype. Are there any consideration about implementing Swype - like Nokia have done on other platforms ?

3rd party keyboards including Swype are currently not allowed with WP. There have been no announcements regarding this so we don't know if there are plans to implement this. Nokia and MS don't usually divulge such information and we will all hear about ir when they decide to publically announce it.

How to share calendars between lumia 920 and 820?

I´m having problems sharing calnedars between my 920 and my wifes 820.
They both use @hotmail calendars as a default.
I first tried to send her an invite to a meeting I created and noticed that it uses @gmail account picked up from facebook as a default so I added her @hotmail account to her contact info.
The invite still doesn´t arrive.
Is it supposed to arrive as an invitation to the phone or just as an email?
Next I tried to share our calendars at microsoft live but nothing happens even it says its sending the share invite.
Am I doing someting wrong or what?

Hmm.. I tried to send an email to my @hotmail account to test it and it didn´t arrive so I checked the settings and it seems that my hotmail account is named @gmail.com. Probably cause I´ve used it to create the live account. I just thought that the hotmail account would automatically be named @hotmail. Now I can´t do pretty much anything with it since it doesn´t even let me access to gmail account when I try to link them.
Do I have to close the whole account to get this working or what? I´ve used the gmail address to create a microsoft account a long time ago and the address can´t be changed anymore.
I don´t even need a hotmail address but I understood that it is needed to get the calendar working in the phone?

I have some questions about my Nokia lumia 920th
Which program you use to transfer music, audio books?
I had the iphone before and was tired of itunes, but it feels like I'm going to use it again.
And how to sort out audio books from other music?
When I activate the "Find my windows phone 'so does it not, although it seems to.
I am a person who likes and is picky with good sound when I listen to music and audiobooks.
Would love to find good trick where I can control the volume and the headset and change the song.
Thinking also Bluetooth and search for tips and advice.
Please help me with all these questions, want to have left my Lumia.

Lumia 920 - most backwardish experience ever

I shall vent my anger at Nokia.
Recently broke my trusted E6 and having no time for contemplation went for top of line Lumia 920.
Trying to use the THING have been the most confusing experience i have ever had with any device/system in my life.
xxx experience started instantly: No support for Ovi Suite, you can not sync your contacts unless you sign in to online account when phone is initalised. Ok, i got over it, mowing on.
Trying to make first call - this device is not a phone! There is no T9 style dial !!! No speed dial !!!
Ok, found Rap dialler, but it is not native and WP8 asks for additional confirmation before allowing the call, which is displayed in upper left corner - most inconvenient for single handed use. And it does not show missed calls - so i have to keep separete apps on screen for making calls and looking and missed one.
Tried to configure home screen .. there is no switching of them, you have to slide, which is way more inconvenient too fast/slow and icons end not where intended.
UI is written for/by aliens. I still have not figured out the confusing behaviour of back button - when it closes application and when goes back.
Mowing on - No onscreen toggles for turning wireless, BT and sound on/off.
Constantly missing calls because ringtone is turned off and it is not visible when on screen. Yes, there is TOGGLE (another app you download) which is far cry of what Symbian Belle had.
The last one made my blood boil: you need the app to send contact details to someone!!!
I pulled broken E6 from drawer and brought to service center. I can't wait to have it fixed and back in business.
You shall be warned - if you like E6 think twice before downgrading to new phone

Unfortunately I cannot help you with the fact that Widowsphone is totally different to Symbian and there is a huge change when you switch. I personally switched from an N8 to a Lumia 800 and then to a Lumia 920 and 820. Like you I found it very strange at first but 18 months down the line, I have adapted and now find it different but easier to use than Symbian in many ways. There are things that still annoy me but I now work around them and there are features that I now cannot live without.
Back to your gripes, I might be able to help with a few.
T9 or Qwerty, you do get used to it. The word prediction on the 920 is very good once you get used to it.
Missed calls and other notification are shown as icons on the lock screen and then as numbers on the tiles once you unlock.
The homescreen unfortunately is the way the UI is. Need to talk to Microsoft about that but again, you do get used to it.
For toggles, download an app called connectivity shortcuts.
To send a contact, goto People>Tap on the contact you want to share>3 dots>share contact>tick>select the sharing method you wish to use.
