Lumia 920 Flagship color

I have a small doubt which you guys can clear for me.
What is the Nokia Flagship color of the Lumia 920. You know, like the Lumia 900 flagship color was Cyan.
Similarly.. what is the flagship color for the 920.. I have a feeling I read somewhere that it is Yellow.. Is it Yellow or Red.......I tried searching everywhere, but can't find it.. can anyone let me know..
Also what are the official Lumia 920 color names.. Is Red called Lipstick Red. What is Yellow called??

If i am not mistaken, there is no "pre-determined" or never an official color for the Lumia range announced by Nokia. I think i read an article somewhere about the Lumia which states that the Cyan has somewhat became the "unofficial" color for the Lumia range especially the Lumia 800.
I have not come across the Lumia 920 here in my country yet but when i bought my Cyan Lumia 800 from Nokia store, the box just writes "Cyan". I had the opportunity to glance through the box for the black model as well and it write "Black" on the sticker on the side of the box where the serial numbers are printed. No fancy names like "Alpine White, Monaco Blue, Chilli Red etc."
I believe that the article you read was on the color release of the Lumia 920. Yellow, Red, Black and some countries (Grey) was the confirmed colors. Not sure about White and people were complaining about why there is no Cyan which led to Nokia confirming later that Cyan Lumia 920 will indeed be made available through AT&T.
If you have a Lumia phone with you, kindly go under "Settings > About" and see under "Carrier". Mine have Cyan next to it together with VAR ID.
I took the liberty into googling the article which i read

hope it helps!

  • Lumia 920 vs 925 vs 928

Clearly Verizon haggled for the higher number here, but knowing the aluminum edging on the 925 will eventually dent, and the lack of a Xenon flash makes me happy we get the 928.  I'm just waiting on more colors at this point.
    http://www.theverge.com/2013/5/14/4329736/lumia-920-vs-925-vs-928-nokia-flagship-trifecta-in-pictures

I just want to take a minute and vent here please. Verizon please take notes as this was sloppy and you should be ashamed at how poorly you executed this phone. Why would you half *** this? This is your "hero/flagship" Nokia device. Unless you seriously just dont give a crap, which makes me even more angry, why would I give you my money for to you hand me second thought devices?
In almost every way this is exactly the same phone launched 7 months ago. It went on a slight diet to save some weight and it got a slight facelift. It has better recording for noisy environments and a rearranged connections port cluster at the top, an OLED screen, and a louder speaker....YAY. Do you really think you are going to buy my loyalty with xenon flash??? This is what I waited 7 months for? I could have gotten this with ATT when it first came out, but I thought, "no, I will give it time," I am happy with Verizon service, and as the months grew longer and longer, and other manufactures caught up and surpassed the 920 I thought surely given all this time, the next device is going to compete with these devices... S4, HTC one, (eff an iphone) and alas here it is, a 920...oooops I mean a 928 in all its 7 month old glory. THANKS VERIZON... THAT WAS WELL WORTH THE WAIT.
The next bit of pure slop was the launch, TWITTER? FFS!! No launch, no mention, just a quite message, "oh hey loyal customers, we dragged *** on this for 7 months and we almost forgot the 928 is coming out next week"  Are you ashamed at how similar this is the the ATT 920 that you had to whisper it? Embarrassed that you give us ATT slop from 7 months ago? Get it together. This was complete garbage top to bottom. As of this moment you have made me seriously doubt going forth with your service in the future, and if this is one customer, there are going to be others.

  • Nokia Lumia 920 India Launch ! - Some Observations...

    Hi,
Being a Nokia fan for years .. I decided to write this .. I hope people at the right level from Nokia see this.
We all know Nokia Lumia 920 has probably hit all the right spots with Users abroad and the best thing is they are loving it a lot. I probably would like to be one of them soon.
    However I have certain concerns,
When Nokia launced Lumia in India people had high hopes including myself however one thing that I have always found going wrong is the 'PRICING' .. yes such insanely high pricing at launch .. why ? Look at the pricing of Lumia 800 at launch (around 33k) . Look at the pricing of Lumia 900 still (31k) ? .. Lumia 800 now sells around at the price of 19k !! - almost a 40% drop in price.
The basic thinking in the minds of people including me is 'Don't buy a Nokia phone immediately on launch !!'. Why can't this be changed ? - Yes everybody wants to earn profits but in a situation wherein you are more in search for Mindshare .. This does not make sense. Obviously I am no one to teach anybody anything but this is what I feel & what I have felt for years.
If I buy a Nokia Lumia 920 at launch only to find that after 3 months the pricing has come down by 3-5k .. I will not be a Happy Consumer.
Nokia - Launch Lumia 920 at a very competitive price (so that the likes of SGS3 & HTC 8x will feel ashamed) .. Arrive at a price & keep it steady for real long so that the initial adopters are happy & others come to know that Nokia's pricing is real good and will stay that way for long.
Nokia's Lumia are pretty good phones .. they never lag when compared to Android etc however they have not been well received by people here in India. The most common answer that I get is 'Bluetooth not there - can't transfer files' , 'Can't use memory card ' & 'Apps not available'.
Nokia - you have to change this mindset of people because with Windows Phone 8 these things are no longer hindrances ! .. especially Bluetooth & Micro-sd support.
I am expecting your Ads to have this .. be it on Radio or TV or Internet.
Can we have right people on the Job ? - Recently I went to Hypercity Mall (in Mumbai) (Nokia booth). I took in my hand a Lumia 510. I asked how much RAM ? .. to my surprise he answered 512 Mb .. and I was like What ? I asked him to recheck - still the same answer. He said we have confirmed. The phone actually comes with 256 Mb of RAM.
Now imagine what happens to a consumer who brought this phone from him ?
Nokia - Please get the right people at task for Nokia Lumia 920 & 820 because there you have got some real innovations like PureView, OIS, Wireless Charging etc. Ensure that users get the right demo of all the innovations. First impression will be the Last impression.
At Malls (without Nokia booths), the 2 phones Lumia 800 & Lumia 710 lonely guard the booths .. with rarely anybody there to explain about them. Just on the side of it I find Samsung's booth with all the latest flagships standing there & probably someone to explain about it - however Android needs no explanation these days will all aware about it (& even if not aware they know a phone with it is Cool!).
Nokia - Please set your own booths for Lumia (both WP8 & WP7) & assign one of your Guys per Booth. I really don't know the dynamics of setting up booth at a mall & the financial impact of it. All you need to do is differentiate your Lumia's from others.
Alternatively you can have a Lumia Van (or Lumia Vans) running around the City with all the possible Lumia's on it for doing Demo's. All Lumia's - since a person can come up to check a Lumia 510 too & not having a specific Lumia means Dissatisfaction for the user.
Nokia Lumia 920,820 & 620 are gem of a phones .. Hope everything is done right with them in a price sensitive market like India & I hope that Nokia you are listening to a User's opinion here.
Here's someone who wishes real good things for Nokia. Good luck with the launch of Nokia Lumia 920, 820 & 620. Desperately waiting !!

    Hi slon!
    Welcome to Nokia Forum!
Let me answer your question in the same manner you have presented it.
    1. How can I configure networking option for individual application (it was standard option before, see N8)
    - Can you tell me which particular application/s you are referring to? The phone prioritizes WLAN connection over 3G to ensure quality customer experience.
Example: Nokia Maps - when downloading map data, it would require you to use WLAN as phone would require high amount of data.
    2. Where can I find the option like: Automatic, Always ask, WLAN only when using access to data connection
    - These options are not available on the device. However, you can find some settings that are similar to what you are looking for:
Settings>Wifi>Tap on Advanced> you will have the following options:
Notify me when new networks are found
    Automatically connect to Wi-Fi hotspots
Send information about Wi-Fi connections to help discover nearby Wi-Fi
Keep Wi-Fi on when the screen times out

  • Lumia 920, screen rotation not working, loosen obj...

I have pre-ordered the lovely yellow 920 from Telstra Australia, in November, arrived around start of December. It is a fantastic phone to use, however there are several hardware and software issues influencing this experience in a bad way. Anyone have the same experiences with the folloing issues?
Firstly, I have noticed only in just a few days of using it, the screen can get obvious scratches very easily from normal use without screen protector film. Now, there is a  pattern of many scratches from swipe up to unlock gesture. I though it would be as least do better than iphones
Secondly, I have noticed what feels like a chunk of loose object inside the phone, as I shake it quickly left and right, which could even be heard, as two hard object in contact with each other. I have no Idea what could that be.
Thirdly, the screen rotation simply stopped working one day without notice. Tried soft reset a dozen times and even hard reset to factory status did not fix the issue. This get me thinking, it might have been a serious hardware issue, or perhaps the accelorometer/gyroscope was damaged by that loose object inside the phone. However, today, all of a sudden it starts to work again.........Brilliant!.......not...
Another issue is that it could get Literally Burning Hot on the top right corner(front) of the phone in some circumstances. I understand electronic devices can get warm while operating, my Nokia N8 gets warm during intense operation such as multi-tasking Map, Drive etc, But it never gets to a point when you have to consider whether it is still safe to use or not, sadly, I have to do that with my 920 while video chatting,
There are even more issue with the software. A few random mornings in the past month, I wake up to a dead 920 on a wireless charging pad, only to be able to recover through soft reset procedure (Volum down + power).  No idea why....
and sometimes as I accept an incoming call, the phone freezes on that screen. The call still goes through, three buttons are still alight and vibrates, but not functional. Again, only recoveralbe by soft reset.
Does anyone have the same experiences with these issues?
No matter what might caused these issues, to have all these occuring within a flagship smartphone, Me as a loyal Nokia fan (3210,6600,6220,3220,6300,N95,N8) is very disappointed.

I also bought Lumia 920 and had same issue with accelorometer.  I have submitted phone in Nokia care and after 15 days they repired and given back. This happened in june 2013, now i started facing same issues again and my phone also get very hot while charging...... Can anyone advice how to get my device preplaced ???
    thanks.

    Hello there,
Did anyone else have the effect that the Lumia 920 is changing whitebalance constantly when filming a normal outdoor scene ? I tested the phone with default settings yesterday (clouded springday) and the colors were constantly going form blue-ish to warm and back in a 1 minute testfilm...is that normal for this device?

  • Questions before I buy Lumia 920

Hey everyone, I'm new here, I will introduce myself later because I am in a hurry and I need answers first
So please if you can answer my questions that will be great.
I want to buy the Lumia 920 tomorrow if possible, but I want to ask about stuff I've read about it that worries me.
First I've read that it has batterie problems and the batterie gets empty fast.
Second I've read that the phone gets too hot.
Can these things be fixed? Can they hurt the battery somehow? Because I've read that the battery can't be changed, and it's a very expensive phone here in Egypt so I don't want to have to throw it away if anything happens to the battery.
I want to ask about the music, can I download different music players/apps and use them instead of the original one of the phone? Because I want a music player that has last.fm live scrobbling. Also I want to ask if the music sounds good and pure in the phone and how loud can it get?
Now I want to ask about the cinemagraph thing, which I just discovered now, it's amazing.
Can I like make a cinemagraph from a video not taken by the camera? Say from a movie, then upload it on the Internet or on the computer as a gif picture?
About the Internet, is there 3G in it, like can I use sometimes WiFi and sometimes 3G instead? Coz there's not always WiFi everywhere and most of them are with passwords anyway.
Does it have Xbox Live Smart Glass? And does it only work with Xbox 360 or will it also work with Xbox One when it comes out?
And finally what colors are there for the Lumia 920? And does it come with earphones with it?
    Please answer ASAP if possible.
    Thank you

I may not have all the answers, coz even my experience with Lumia 920 was cut short due to, as you pointed out, heating problems.
Yes, there are battery problems, but it's all a matter of pure bad luck. You could get a perfectly fine device, with no issues, or the ones that are ailed by battery and other issues. Also, there are number of ways to improve your battery life, if the issue stems from improper usage.
Yes, there are some (read few) devices that do get got. Mine did. Never got it fixed and the repair team has decided to replace the device.
Yes, like any other audio-playing-capable phone, this one ,too, supports 3rd party music players. Quality of the music is fine for an average user. If you have a very discerning ear, you may find something to nitpick. Otherwise, for an average guy, it's fine, and loud enough.
I doubt if you can edit videos, not taken from your phone's camera, by using the cinemagraph app.  But I'm just guessing here.
Yes, there are 3G, Wi-fi and LTE for data access
Apparently, it does support the Xbox Smartglass feature. Don't know if it will be supported by the upcoming Xbox One
The phone comes in Red, Cyan (extremely rare), black (the one I own), Yellow, White. I think that's it for the colour variety.
Bottomline, Lumia 920 is a simple, elegant, and in some cases, revolutionary device with a mesmerising screen, and this is regardless of my awful experience. It's just that I had the misfortune of getting a faulty device, followed by less than professional handling by the Nokia Care people. I just hope you don't end up with a faulty one and, if you do, I hope the service is up to the mark in your area.

  • Headphones Promotion for Lumia 920.

Hello my name is Gabriel Georgescu. I wanted to write you before I posted my dissatisfaction with a phone call that I just had with your Customer Care line (877-906-6542.) First I wanted to say that I have been a long time Nokia customer - my last phone being the Nokia N97 (which was purchased off contract.) Before my recent purchase I was a customer with T-mobile for over 8 years, but I chose to move to AT&T for your flagship product (Nokia Lumia 920.) On the date the 920 became available at the AT&T stores I went and purchased four lumia 920s (1 black - for my dad, 2 red - for my mom and myself, and 1 yellow for my wife) and 4 wireless pads. As of this writing I still have not received the yellow phone nor did I receive the wireless pads. I noticed that since our purchase, the price of the phone was cut in half over the weekend and there is also a promotion for free headsets at http://www.nokiaholidayheadset.com/. When I inquired about the possibility of honoring this for my 4 purchases the lady told me that she could not help me and that I could return the phones and go and purchase them again from the Northridge location. I will do that if I have to, but the only reason I purchased these phones was for the great customer service that Nokia is known for and the quality that you produce. Again I only switched to AT&T for your product, not for AT&T's service. I have been staying away from them for years, but your phone made me take the plunge. We are already buying 2 Nokia JBL PowerUp Speakers and I am an outspoken promoter for your phones, but in this instance I was wondering if you could help us take advantage of this promotion or if I will have to return the phones and purchase new ones in order for us to also get the headphones. Your help is greatly appreciated. Thank you in advance Gabriel.

Firstly this is a user to user support forum. If you wish to contact Nokia directly you should use the "Nokia support" tab to the bottom right if this screen.
Since you purchased your phones from AT&T, you should really be contacting them about this. How AT&T choose to srll the phones, their pricing policies and promotions are a matter for themselves and nothing to do with nokia. Nokia will have little or no control over them.

  • Lumia 920 overheating/battery life

I sent my phone in for repair a week ago because of a loose battery and have since got the phone back and it is all fine and it doesn't clunk around now, however I noticed on my commute to work this morning and on my way home that when I was playing games on the device (temple run, asphalt 7 and VBA8), it would cause the phone to run really hot as If I was touching a radiator. Battery life also dipped from 99% to 13% within roughly and hour and a half of use, so I have attached a screenshot of the battery level app to display this. Is this a known issue or another repair job?

Same problem here. I got a new black lumia 920, 2 weeks ago at SLot limited, Ikeja. and it heats up ,
    1. whenever I browse on 3G, (FB, twitter or skype)
    2.when I take some pictures (like 7 at a go)...forget games, I won't even go there
I've turned most of the perks (NFC, location et al off)... I thought this was a smartphone, why do we have to make it a 3310 for it to work...I also saw the video,http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=gU6soZi61GQ,  If the problem is the procesor, why doesnt Nokia do the dignified thing and call back the faulty phones or equip the care centres with the technical know-how to insulate these phones. especially for their flagship phone... This is absolutely sad.
I was actually thinking of going to the care centre before but from the reviews above, It just a waste of time. We should all have been advised at the point of purchase that we were buying a radiator....hiss

  • AT&T Lumia 920 - 2 Freezes in a few days maybe rel...

    Hello,
I've been using my AT&T Lumia 920 for 8 days. Within the first week I have had 2 freezes. Both were while using Bluetooth, but that may be coincidental.
I am not happy about these glitches as I was previously using an AT&T Lumia 900 since April, and it never had problems like this. I expect the 920 to be an upgrade in every regard.
    I am seeking:
An explanation as to the cause of these issues.
A permanent solution that will prevent these issues from recurring
The specifics of the 2 incidences are:
    First incident:
I was driving & talking on my phone with my Plantronics Voyager Bluetooth headset. I parked at BestBuy & went inside continuing my phone call. In less than 60 seconds, I realized that it seemed like the person on the other end of the phone was being too quite. So I thought maybe the call dropped. I pulled the phone out of my belt holster & found that it showed that the call was still connected. But I could hear nothing. The screen was essentially non-responsive. Within about 1 minute, my screen went black & I couldn't get the phone to do anything. I kept trying to to a soft reset like I did with my Lumia 900 a few times (power button + volume up). This didn't work (I have later learned that the Lumia 920 uses a different button combinatino (power button + volume down). I gave up using my phone & asked the Geek Squad boys if I could use their phone to call my customer back to finish the discussion so that I could confirm I was purchasing the correct product for him. About 30-60 minutes later, I was still periodically trying to figure out how to get my phone to come back to life. I pressed & held two buttons (presumably power + volume down). The phone vibrated & rebooted. Thank goodness.
    Second incident:
I was traveling & dictating an email (which I'm glad that Windows Phone 8 now lets us dictate outside of TXT messages. :-). My first attempt returned no results. I then pressed the microphone button again & retry dictating. At this point, it did something unexpected (I really don't recall the exact specifics). From that point, further attempts to dictate did absolutely nothing. I then decided that I'd just type the email instead. I picked up the phone & pressed in the body of the email. The onscreen keyboard appeared. But none of the keys actually typed or did anything. At this point (of course a bit irritated), I tried to get out of the email, and realized that the phone would not really let me do anything. It displayed the empty email and gave me a flashing cursor, but no buttons or keys would do anything. It was like they were all being ignored by the phone. Then I had this though.... After my previous lock-up, I had read a little bit online that some Lumia 920 users had experienced lock ups when using bluetooth. So I thought, maybe if I power off my bluetooth headset, the phone will break the bluetooth connection & maybe will release control of the phone back to me. So I powered off my bluetooth headset. Sure enough, the phone immediately returned to normal (although it did first quickly make a couple of sounds & display regarding the dictation [like basically the last time I pressed the microphone button, dictation wasn't able to come up, so now it finally did come up & then went away again all within about 1 second]). After powering off the bluetooth headset, my phone has been fine. No need to reboot. A few days have passed with no more issues.
    So in summary:
Is there a problem with the phone's bluetooth support?
Is there a problem with my headset (I don't think so, it works on other phones just fine, and it works on this phone 98% of the time without problems)?
Who is going to fix the bluetooth problems & when (Nokia or Microsoft)?
Can they be fixed, or are they problems inherent with the phone's bluetooth chip which are irreparable?
Is there any sense in me going back to the AT&T store & swapping for another Lumia 920? (I don't think so. Seems like most everything else with the phone works well [I've had a few other isolated incidents with other things, but so far I've written them off as software glitches that Microsoft or Nokia will fix with time]).
Who should I be reporting this issue to (AT&T? Nokia? Microsoft?)? What is the correct support channel to get the issue resolved most quickly? (I am very willing to work with a competent tech support person to troubleshoot & track the issue over time if necessary in order to help facilitate identifying the root cause of the issue so that a proper permanent fix can be implemented by Nokia or Microsoft.
Have any other users experienced this same problem?
Thanks for your time in reviewing my issue. I have been very excited & enthusiastic about the Lumia 920 & Windows Phone 8. I have tried to promote it with my friends and family. However, when I hit an issue like this which didn't exist on my Lumia 900, I find myself feeling a bit embarassed & frustrated.
By the way, to my knowledge I didn't have any other programs running on my phone during either of these incidents (definitely nothing else running in the foreground).
    Sincerely,
    Doug Mortensen

Don't expect support here. Nokia does not bother to pay a tech or two to support the people who have bought the 920. Not really a point to these forums.
Anyways, i have huge bt issues as well. Cannot connect or see my jawbone. In truck with pioneer nav system (it is illegal here to use a phone without handsfree in vehicle) it links, but when i make a call or receive a call it shows the phone off the receiver icon so it knows call in progress, but i either get no sound from the caller... at all, or i get a robotic mess i cannot decipher. when i cannot hear anything, people can hear me, but when i hear robotic, people can hear me but with distortion. However, when it reads a text message, the phone voice is fine through the system. Because i have to turn bt off then to use phone, i have to return this handset and just go back to android.
Have also had this drop calls a few times now as reception is probably the worst i have seen in a decade... even drops in downtown core. Battery life poor because i assume its always struggling for a signal.

  • Lumia 920 system failed

I just got lumia 920 5days ago and now I can't access to my phone settings.
Can't even go into settings to open wifi or other things.
    Tried soft reset also can't.
Tried My Window Phone to remote erase phone also can't.
    Here is the link:

There are a few other rests you can try if you wish. Before doing so be aware of the fact that unkess you have a backuo, your data may be lost in the process. The reset I suggest you start with is the 4 button reset. If this doesnt work there is another you can try but have a go with this one first. Thist reset is as follows.
With the phone powered off, press and hold all 4 buttons on the side of the phone. Release the power button only when the phone vibrates and release remaining buttons 5 seconds after thst. If this doesnt work come back and let me know and we could have a look at the next reset.

  • Lumia 920 / Problem with Store App

Right after I bought my Lumia 920, a added few applications (viber, instagram, etc.) using store app.
After few days, everytime I tried to open Store App, or even visit the market page using browser on my device, I got the same message:
''Service unavailable at the moment. Check again in a little while.''
My phone is totally blocked for downloading new Apps. I'm not able to, for example update ''What's Up'' App beacuse it's redirecting me automatically to Store. This haven't been changed for a while, about month or two. I even updated phone regulary once update was available, nothing changed after that. All other stuff is working perfectlly, so I'm not sure what could be the problem.
    Can anyone help?
    Thanks!

Is everything ok with your Microsoft account? You didn't change your password recently or anything like that? Try logging into your microsoft account just to make sure everything is ok.

  • Lumia 920 animated GIF's

When emailing or texting from the Lumia 920, will users outside of Nokia be able to fully view animated GIF's?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hi Coolatta75,
I think I have found a solution for you. I have just tried this on my Lumia 920 and it works. Goto Photos then Camera Roll then open the Cinemagraph GIF and select ...
then select Save To Skydrive, and it will upload the GIF. If you are using Windows 8 (or if you don't have Windows 8, you can access SkyDrive on the web-based version), and download it and open it in Internet Explorer. It will work and play. Please remember that the recipient will always view it as a static MMS unless they have an app on their phone that can play animated GIF's, same applies to recipients who view it on their computer. I suggest sending it to their email and they can open it on their computer.
Let us know how you get on.
