Lumia 920 - no calls indications when I am talking...

My problem is as follow.
When I am talking with one person on the phone and another one is trying to call me at the same time I have no information about that.
Even when I finished talking I have no SMS information that someone was trying to call me. Nothing is on the calls history also.
Did anyone experienced similar issue and know how to help me?

Thanks for a try, but it is not exactly my worries.
I have no problem with caller names or unknown number issues.
The only problem is tha if I am on a call and another person is calling me at the same time - it is not noticed or logged.
So I am no able to call back, because I do not know that someone was calling me.
Can you imagine explaining myself to my wife every time...

One of most missed feature from Symbian in my nokia Lumia 920 is saying caller name along with ringtone when I get call...have been using Symbian for so long I use to know who is calling me even if phone is far on table... Lumia 920: Incoming calls are missing sound

For a couple of days all incoming calls have been missing sound. After some trial and error I found that this can be fixed by placing the call briefly on hold and then taking it off hold. Outgoing calls have sound normally. This would indicate that some setting for incoming calls has not been properly reset. How can this issue be fixed? The phone has been restarted several times.
My phone is Lumia 920 with the latest Portico update installed (the problems actually started before the update and continued after it).

Have you tried a factory reset? OR even changing your sim card..

Lumia 920 - speakerphone calls with audio cable pl...

I'm not sure if this is a bug or by design but if I have my 920 plugged into my car audio AUX and I take a call using the speakerphone the call audio droppes to the phone. If I take it off speakerphone the audio then comes out through my car system.
Is there some sort of setting available or can this be fixed? Call audio should always go to the line out if it is plugged in.

I don't this is a design for a phone. Any phone I have ever used with Aux allows you to connect it and use the volume to adjust the sound from the phone just like a CD. CD players that where external in the past did the same thing. You connect it turn the sound up on the player then adjust the audio. The phone doesn't... The phone audio sinks to 0 when you try to turn it up it jumps 1 then back to 0. You turn the volume up in the car while a song is playing you get nothing.
This is either a flaw with the phone or the diver for the aux sending to a car setero is not working properly. No phone make or model I have owned has ever done this.

I have looked everywhere trying to figure out how to look at my phone and see who is calling when I am on another call. All my other phones have done this automatically and this Iphone 5 is not doing it. I am afraid I have somthing turned off that shouldn't be. ANY HELP O

It will say "mobile" Home", etc under the name.
You can also tap the blue arrow and see the highlighted number.

Lumia 920 overheating when running Here Drive+

Any suggestions as to why my Lumia 920 overheats to the point of shutting down when trying to navigate with Here Drive+
Doesn't matter if I have it running on battery power or via a Nokia DC car charger, same effect, it gets hot and then shuts down

Similar issue with Lumia 920 (WP8) heating up when using Here Drive. I've resorted to using it only for short amounts of time to avoid excessive heat buildup. When I use Here Drive, battery life is significantly shortened also which is another reason why I don't leave it running during long drives. If the phone does overheat, it tends to exit out of the Drive app and I sometimes I don't realize that Navigation has stopped working until I look at the phone!
And no, I do not use live traffic data as I do not have a data plan on my phone.

Hi,
I have trouble with all three capacative keys on my lumia 920. They work when phone is held in hand,
but when put on table they dont respod at all. Each time i want do do something with the phone i have to pick it up.
With that problem phone s case crakles and makes all kind of noises. It have half mm gap on left side of the screen. Took it to service, but they returned with remark "issues have not been noticed on device". They just repleaced software, but that didnt fix it. What to do?

Welcome to the forum!
Did something happen to the phone prior to these issues? When did these issues start to happen? Just to verify, did you bring the phone to a local 3rd party repair center, or to a Nokia Care Point?
Since the phone has already undergone an initial assessment but the issue wasn't fixed, we suggest visitting other Nokia Care Points / Authorized Service Centers (if possible) to have it re-evaluated. Check this link for the global Nokia support page: Nokia Wayfinder

Are all the symbian belle navigation features (3.06 and 3.09) already in wp8? Is it possible to download wp8 navigation manual somewhere?

HT4528 I keep hearing a call waiting tone on my Iphone 4S when I am talking on my phone?

I keep hearing a tone for call waiting when I am talking on my Iphone 4S and there is no call waiting all?

I am having the same problem. I downloaded it from my 4S and my ITunes account shows it was downloaded. It's not listed in the ringtones on my 4S. When I open ITunes, and plug in my 4S, I can look at the media on my device. There is a checkmark next to it and a circle to the far left, but it is not on my phone. This has not happened before. Hopefully there will be an answer soon.

Unreliable call notifications on Lumia 920 Windows Phone 8

My wife and I both own the Lumia 920 with the latest Windows Phone 8 update (GDR2/Lumia Amber). We have installed Skype on each handset. We are signed into the app and into our Live accounts. I used her phone and Skyped my phone. Nothing happened. Though her Skype app showed my phone to be "ringing," my phone in fact never gave any indication that a call was trying to come in. There was also no notification on the lockscreen, though I enabled that feature on my phone's settings.
I went into the Skype app and looked under its settings, but all I find are toggles to turn on Skype and Messenger messages, both of which are on. I know that I'm missing something. I checked Background Tasks on the handset. Skype doesn't show up on the list of blocked apps. But neither does it show up as "allowed." When I go into Background Tasks > Advanced, there is a list of grayed-out items that I "may not be able to block," and Skype is on that list. But I can find no option to manually permit it.
How do I know when someone is Skyping me?

It's been over a month since my first post and providing the Skype team with details for them to troubleshoot, still no word from them. I have almost all the issues that you would find online about Skype and nothing they said is fixed works for me. I have since tested on my iPad 2 (iOS 7) as well, same story and having multiple devices made it even worse. I don't get sound when text notifications arrive on my iPad, just on-screen alerts (yes, Skype notifications have been set to play sound). Calls only show up as missed calls after the fact, just like my WP8. Skype was unresponsive when I tried to pick up a text notification on the iPad and I had to switch over to my WP8, just to have my first failed reply using the iPad pop up the next day on my PC. What's even funnier was the other side received this "first" response 5 or 6 hours before I saw it on my side and his response to that didn't get to me until 7 hours later when the real conversation concluded the night before. The multiple device sync they said they fixed back in the Feb release isn't working either. I would be texting away on the iPad and my phone sitting right next to me would be pinging away with notifications. So much for only sending notifications to the active device. Maybe they're pinging my phone to compensate for the soundless iOS? Even something simple as emoticons is messed up. I've received them as code on my PC from someone texting me from another Skype account, they've turned into little squares or code if I view the conversation on a different device from the one I used to send them originally. Profile pics of contacts appear and disappear at random. Even what you think is the most stable and functional PC version is crapping out. Statuses of my contacts are rarely current and you need to log off and log back on to trigger it to refresh. And that doesn't work 100% of the time. Renaming contacts on the PC does nothing when you view it on other devices. So my contacts who have mutliple accounts show up with the exact same name multiple times on my WP8 and iPad. I have to go into the contact details in order to tell which one is personal and which one is work. I don't think you can make it this bad if you intentionally tried. They have essentially killed two great products with one merger and pissed off both loyal Messenger and Skype users. If I didn't have contacts on Lync, which only Skype can reach when you don't have Lync at home, I would have been so gone.

I received my Lumia 920 yesterday and experienced these errors right away:
1. When I'm in a call, the person I talk to can't hear me. Instead it is metallic or bubbling sounds when I talk. From time to time, it is possible to have a conversation for a couple of seconds, but then the weird sounds starts again.
2. The phone reboots by itself every now and then.
3. I can see that the coverage disapears sometimes in the top left corner.
If I call with VoIP (Lync 2013 app) there are no audio problems.
I have been in contact with my carrier (Telia, Sweden) and have got a new SIM-card, but the problems persists.
I have also tried to change Max Connection speed to 2G which seemed to help at first, but then the phone just started to reboot over and over when I tried to call.
I have also tried to reset the phone to factory defalt, but the problem persists.
The audio problems persists regardless if I'm using the headset shipped with the phone or a bluetooth headset from Jabra.

Since you mentioned that you already reset the phone to its factory default it would be better if you're going to visit any local Nokia Care point. I belive the problem that you have will fall under hardware issue. It has something to do with the Microphone.
Just to make sure, you can also try to perform a software update. If it will not work, visit a local Nokia Care point so technician can evaluate your phone.

When will there be a SIP client for Lumia 920?

I just got my Lumia 920 and am totally dismayed to see there is no SIP client already provided as a Nokia app and (at least as far as I can tell) available in the marketplace . I DID see the info advertising that there would be "deep VOIP integration" in the platform (mentioned in replies to other posts) . In fact, since Nokia has had deep VOIP integration in previous products (on Symbian AND Maemo) this led me top understand and expect it to be there. Will there be a Nokia app? Soon??! Or any news on anyone who is making one?
This is not a "want" it is pretty much a "must" for me as I have a UK Geographic number routed to me via a VOIP service. Which I can only take at home now. Unless I revert to my old (Nokia) phone :-( :-(
So despite the phone being really nice in many ways, I am feeling like I needed to read the small print closer before actually buying.

Windows Phone 8 has VoIP built into the core system. It is easily available through the developers API and when used VoIP call will look exactly like a normal call and be handled as such. You can view a short clip on this as discussed during the June Developer conference here.
So in short; All the ground work is done my Microsoft. It's upto developers to build the app on top of it.

Lumia 920 freezing when connecting to bluetooth he...

First at all, I'm pretty sure it's bluetooth connection problem because I tried to plug in a wired earphone, it works 100% properly.It's an annoying issue for me everyday as I use to listen music, video without WIRE.
Back to topic, when I connect my Lumia 920 (no portico yet) to my bluetooth (Nokia BH-221) headset, I cannot properly forward or backword my songs either through my phone and my bluetooh (freezing status). Besides , my songs will stop automatically once a song finished. I have to manually pause-and-start to re-activate the music player. When that song finished, I have to do "pause-and-start" again. Does anyone come across the same issue? Any solution?
I think there is no such compatbility problem because the bluetooth is produced by Nokia. my Nokia headset works perfectly either because it works flawlessly with non-WP powered devices.

Hi mate, thanks for your reply. I did pretty much soft reset enough as sometimes my phone was just freezing (recently it's mainly exactly caused by the obnoxious bluetooth connection issue). But I haven't tried a hard reset yet. I will give it a shot tonight or tomorrow. By the way, I heard a hard reset will take a couple of hours for processing, is that true? (Someone reported his phone is processing the hard reset by 5hrs).
I had reported my case to local Nokia Care team. They initially called me back after two days, asked me a few questions and then they claimed they have to do some tests. Thus, I still do not have a solution.
Another odd but minor issue, when I play my song with Nokia Music (if Wifi is on), song art (provided by nokia music)will come out in the background. But if I am under a connection of 3G, H+, Lte, the song art is gone. I read all possible settings but still no luck. I don't see a relevant setting to make song art able even under 3G, H+, Lte.
