Lumia 920 Sennheiser CX 680i mic and volume proble...

Hi all
I just got a pair of Sennheiser CX 680i. They are iPhone compatible but I didn't know that they only partially work with my Lumia 920.
The play/pause, skip forward and backward are working fine. But the mic and volume don't. I read that it's because apple products don't uses the AHJ standard.
I would really like to be able to use the mic and vol control. Is it possible to buy some kind og adapter? Or are there any other solutions to the problem?

Nope, still same problem. I did an install, didn't work. Then I completely removed my IDT driver, restarted, installed the driver, restarted, same problem.
When I troubleshoot my audio it always asks me which one to troubleshoot. It only works if I do one of the "Speakers / HP - IDT" but I don't know why it has so many devices listed with the same name.
Also, after I troubleshoot and I can hear audio, if I go to "Manage audio devices" it still shows that no audio device is installed, which is why the webinars won't work.

Alrito ppl..i have migrated from nokia 701 (Symbian) to Nokia lumia 920 (Windows 8)

No sim inserted as yet and right now using it in wifi mode only
Since i was a symbian user..some features are very very essential in my daily phone usage (though some are rare)
So the required features/suggested
Camera/Photos :
1.Red eye reduction
2.Self-Timer
3.Details of photos like size,location,resolution, etc etc
4.Number of photos like how many photos are there in an album or phone..
5.wat is the use of having albums tab when u cant create one??!!
Media:
1.Heard that Stereo FM is gonna come soon with the next update of accessing fm radio and can also radio transmittor ?
Hope its coming soon...
2.Cant the equaliser me edited? and also be accessed from the music player ??
3.MKV Format files doesnt play !! (Yes, i have tried it)

1.Internet explorer has a problem.. i use my ie whn wifi is on and later after swtiching off wifi
if i wanna close down ie..i cant because it jst keeps going back to the previous webpage which cannot load due to no access to net !!! plspls fix this .!!
2.Nokia MAPS as compared to my symbian nokia 701 ... the gps access is really really bad.. i had to use my old mobile for using the nokia drive option..
3.I know windows 8 doesnt have ny "file system" but i do hope they bring something like file manager for better access to many other things...
4.many other extentions like .zip, .rar dont work because of lack of apps and no basic functionality to access them..pretty bad for a person using the phone for office purpose..
5.Profiles should be evidently visible and i should be able to create seperate profile because just ring+viobrate, vibrate and flight mode is not enough..
6.In the groups under contacts...i really want to add people by selecting them and not individually...i know a very small request but it really helps...

1. You can use Nokia Creative Studio on the phone to fix red eye.
3. Install "Picture Info" from the store, it's free.
5. You need to ask Microsoft that question but it does show albums you've created in skydrive or facebook
Media:
1. Only a rumour, Microsoft at this moment does not support FM and the next update does not enable it. Even if the L920 did have the required hardware it would only work as a receiver, not a transmitter.
3. I don't believe Microsoft has added support for that.
Others:
1. Microsoft control IE featurs, if you press the menu dots then close all tabs you can easily exit.
2. Weird, GPS works well where I am, make sure you use it with a data connection.
3,4,5,6,7 & 8. You need to suggest that to Microsoft as it is their operating system, not Nokia's.

Lumia 920 capacative keys not working and case cra...

Hi,
I have trouble with all three capacative keys on my lumia 920. They work when phone is held in hand,
but when put on table they dont respod at all. Each time i want do do something with the phone i have to pick it up.
With that problem phone s case crakles and makes all kind of noises. It have half mm gap on left side of the screen. Took it to service, but they returned with remark "issues have not been noticed on device". They just repleaced software, but that didnt fix it. What to do?

Did something happen to the phone prior to these issues? When did these issues start to happen? Just to verify, did you bring the phone to a local 3rd party repair center, or to a Nokia Care Point?
Since the phone has already undergone an initial assessment but the issue wasn't fixed, we suggest visitting other Nokia Care Points / Authorized Service Centers (if possible) to have it re-evaluated. Check this link for the global Nokia support page: Nokia Wayfinder

Lumia 920 - 3G & WiFi - Battery drain and device h...

I have been using my Lumia 920 since February and for the past 3 weeks I have noticed that while using 3G or WiFi the devices heats up a lot and battery drain is rapid.
I am not sure if the charging speed has increased as well, especially when connected to a computer.
I have disabled all apps in the background, NFC is disabled, done a soft reset and done a hard reset. The issue remains.
I am not sure if any update has caused this issue. This however is something I have not experienced previously and is constant now.
I have the 1308 update installed.
Please reply if there are any possble solutions to fix the issue. I do use 3G and WiFi on a daily basis for both professional and personal use.

Sory cjlim, but I cannot see any Nokia Suport tab below. Could you please provide link to the Nokia support? I was actually redirected to this forum from Czech Nokia site through link called "Go to technical support forum".
Anyway, back to the topic. I use multiple apps that are syncing (skype, whatsapp, viber, push notification of emails form exchange server, sync of emails from na imap server every 2 hours, weather app checking wheather 2x a day).
The point is that once my mobile network is set to 2G mobile data (EDGE) the battery stands for almost 2 days which is acceptable battery life. Once I let the phone use 3G mobile data (HSDPA in my case) the phone does not last for even full day. And I am using the phone in absoluely the same way in both cases. Hence I cannot imagine that a application would be killing battery only when on 3G data but would be behaving nicely when on 2G data.
I must also note that my wifi is always ON (no matter if I am on 2G or 3G) so the data transmission should primarilly be done via wifi, right? And even if I am whole day home (working from home office) connected to home wifi network the battery is draining fast when mobile data are allowed on 3G (when on 2G everything is fine).
I wonder if some hardware component responsible for 3G data communication could be faulty in my Lumia820 (considering not so many people are experiencing this issue)?

Need help with a mic and headset probl

Ok heres the deal i have an Audigy 2 C400 or at least thats what it say on the creative volume control drop tab at the top. I recently bought one of those mic headset combos seen here http://www.logitech.com/index.cfm/pr...3,CONTENTID=00 with the two /8 inch stereo jack the would fit into the sound card. The problem i am having is i only get static through the headphone and the mic doesnt pick up anything. I plugged it in the recomended ports and got the. Then i tryed just the headphone jack in all the other ports and got either no result or just static. the mic wouldnt work period. Any insite to this problem would be much appreciated.

The C400 isn't the model of the soundcard. It's only a indicator of the resources range(computer memory) it's using. Assuming you have the original Audigy 2 card. Just to confirm, you have connect the headphone jack plug to the Line_Out jack on the soundcard. Check through the speaker setting application too and make sure the Digital Output Only option hasn't been enable.

Changing volume on my Lumia 920 doesn't work while...

I got this problem just yesterday. Whenever I play a song or a video on my Lumia 920, I can't change the volume while playing it. I can only change it before playing it. What should I do?

Try performing a soft reset by holding both Volume Down and Power buttons pressed until the handset vibrates and reboots. You will not lose any data or settings except Date and Time, which you can readjust manually. Check also that you are up to date with your phone's firmware and all system apps including the music one are also up to date with their latest versions.

Nokia Lumia 920 wont open applications and hot

I've had my nokia lumia 920 for 4 months now and really liking it. In the last few weeks it has begun to misbehave.
Basically when browsing internet or using apps the back of the phone gets quite hot and then when I try and open things like messaging or people or something lile that I get a black screen with "resuming" displayed and then the it simply returns to the home screen again. The strange thing it does not happen when I am calling someone or someone calls me. It seems apps not opening starts when the phone is getting hot and the only way to resolve it to restart. All this happens within 10-15mins of use.
I know people have mentioned that some apps causing problems skype being one of them, but i dont have a great deal of apps just the usual stuff facebook, ebay, twitter etc.
Does anyone else have this problem, is it hardware or software related, like i said my phone has been fine up until a few weeks ago would appreicate any feedback people may have on how to resolve.

I had exactly the same problem, 4month old 920 that suddenly started playing up. I ended up doing a factory reset (down vol + power, then down, power,down,up or something similar). So no extra apps and the same problems, I would do around 6 soft resets followed by a factory reset a day before I gave in and took it to O2 for repair at the weekend.
Whenever I got the black screen, (clock top right) and resuming displayed, the battery got really hot. After factory reset the battery cooled down but the remaining percentage had dropped by about 10%. I tried a factory reset and not putting my SIM back in but same deal. The only apps on it were the factory ones so I'm still not sure what causes the problem. Hopefully it will come back fixed and not just have a factory reset.
If the repair engineer explains what the problem is I will let you know.

Hi,
I bought my brand new Lumia 920 just 3 days back and following are the problems.
1. Music is not stoping if you get call when phone is in silent mode.
2. If you hold back button you can see back ground tasks, but you cant kill tem.
3. For saving a contact you need to go through difficult steps. I don't know why it is asking name in different section rather than in same section where it is showing the name.
4. Screen. Rotation. Is very poor for many applications like youtube etc.

If you do not want to sync contact with Google just remove the option in Settings >email+accounts>Google
The idea of the phone being in silent mode is that it does not interrupt anything on the phone. IMO it would be weird if it did. You put incoming calls on silent for a reason.

I bought my lumia 920 on 26th July 2013 and the problem is that i can't access 3g connection. Any suggestions, please help me i totally not agree with this phone

Have you transferred microSIM from another device or is this a new connection? Also not clear whether you have 4G or just 2G available to you.

have you checked that you are up to date with the latest firmware thur checking in Settings > Phone Update, and that you are up to date with all the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store? if you are, and you are still encountering problems then it appears you will need to visit your Nokia Care point for inspection of your phone.

Lumia 920 support for LTE in Korea

So I purchased an unlocked version of the lumia 920 from an online retailer and just received it today. I popped in my 3G sim that I was using with another phone and it connected fine and well. 3G speeds were fairly fast. 4g speeds are very fast in Korea for phones that are sold here and want to experience those speeds on my new phone. I would like to upgrade to a 4G sim with accompaning plan with my current carrier in Korea, but my question is if it is even possible to do this...

According to the above sites, 4g is disabled in the firmware for factory unlocked phones. Is this true?
It also showed a set of pictues of the packaging's device labels - one showing the 4g lte bands and one without.
Checking my phone's box and it is without the 4g lte frequency information.
Both of these sites mention something about Nokia "working with the carrier" to provide an update that'll make the phone compatible with that carrier's 4g network. Is this accurate information? In the best case, i could just buy a 4g sim, change to an accompaning 4g plan, replace sims in the phone and have 4g connectivity.
But if 4g is disabled for persons who purchase global unlocked versions and want to use it where nokia has near to no presence in (Korea for me) and like the above site says - have to wait for nokia and the carrier to provide an update, what steps have to be taken for 4g to be enabled? Do I have to make a formal request somewhere? Is there an automation process where this update is automatically generated? Or would I have to just wait and pray for something to happen...

Yes if you have purchased a version of the 920 from overseas that has LTE disabled for the moment (due to the fact that the 920 variant that you have purchased is made for a market where 4G is not yet available e.g. the case with the 920 I have that is for Great Britain), then the LTE functionality will be enabled in a future update that is for sure, when LTE service is available in that variant's country.
Have you checked if you already have 4G on your 920? Goto Settings > Mobile Network, and check under "Highest connection speed" if there is a 4G under the 3G and 2G already there. If it is really bothering you though and there is no update on the situation after a couple of months or you wish to do it now, please contact your local Nokia by clicking the Nokia Support link at the bottom of this page.
