I'd suggest you talk to WhatsApp about this, little anyone here or at Nokia can do about this. If it's so vital for you to have WhatsApp you might want to research before you splash out the cash on a new phone.

LOST TV Episode "Lockdown" missing from store...

Where is it. It seems to be lost. The new episode that aired last week on ABC is not in the store, and it is almost a week later. The episode I am looking for is Episode 17, "Lockdown".

Artists missing from store?

I've noticed when I went to go purchase more music by a few Japanese pop artists they no longer appear in the iTunes Store. Rather disappointing as now the only option I have to purchase music by the artists is to import the physical CDs directly from an import specialist.
I was wondering if somewhere on the iTunes/Apple site any information as to why certain artists are pulled from the store.

The upgrade to 100% iTunes Plus this month coincided with the disappearance of quite a few Japanese artists from the iTunes Store.
I have not seen any announcement from either Apple or the labels on the reasons.
You can check other online music download stores, or you can buy CDs.

Lumia 920 - Whatsapp not downloading videos...

Hi,
When I press on the video, it loada as if it will download but then stops, tried so many times! File size is 2.4mb. Strange that videos have worked before though. So it's confusing.

Yes. Latest version after it went missing for a while. If I install/reinstall, would I lose the file? As it hasn't officially downloaded? Wishful thinking I guess, lol.

"Podcasts" missing from Store front page

Does anyone know why Apple made this change? When you scroll down there's no Podcasts category, and there's no Podcasts button next to "Music" "Movies" etc. across the top. The only way I can see podcasts in the iTunes store is to search for specific topics and scroll through the results. Very weird if you ask me, podcasts are one of the main things I download. They used to be listed next to other categories in the iTunes store, and now they aren't even listed on Apple's "itunes charts" website.

The link is only there when upgrades are available.

SIM card missing or invalid in Lumia 920

Hi!
I've seen a couple of similar posts but found no answer to my question so please let me tell you my story:
I bought a brand new unlocked and unbranded Nokia Lumia 920 (got it from the UK to be used in Ireland). I ordered a micro SIM from Tesco Mobile and when I inserted I got the message "SIM card missing or invalid", I thought that this may be due to the card not being active yet but when I put the card on a different phone first I was requested to enter the PIN and then I was advised that the card wasn't active, in the 920 it was just "SIM card missing or invalid".
I activated the SIM and transferred my number, put it on the 920 and again "SIM card missing or invalid", back to the old Nokia and working. So it had to be the phone but it was new so I ordered Micro SIMs from every possible company, until now LycaMobile and 48 have not worked but Meteor has, I've tried at least two SIMs of every company that failed to work the first time. Some of them were active, some not, some of them were empty some already had a number, as said only 48 worked and works from day 1.
I noticed that the chip on the SIM was a different size, I mean, all SIMs are micro SIMs the same size, but the Meteor one has a smaller chip (the copper part where the info is stored), I checked all the other SIMs that I had in the house and some of the older SIMs had smaller and some larger chips but until today I had been able to swap them all in my old phones with no problem.
I started looking for information online and tried the hard reset, it didn't work, I read then that I should use the card for a while in a different phone so that the SIM was perfectly connected to the network, I did so with one of the Tesco Mobiles SIM but when I tried it in the 920 "SIM card missing or invalid", I am thinking now of updating the software but I don't know if this will solve anything.
Any ideas? Anybody experienced the same issue and was able to find a solution?

No idea but the fact that most of the other sims don't when I know for a fact that they all do because I've used them all. Perhaps there is a pin slightly out of place and for some reason it catches the meteor sim but not the others. I can't think of anything else.
Just something to check. If you goto Settings>Extras+info>More info>Mobile operator, do you have 000-GB?

920 is missing Screen Timeout Never option

From the way it appears the option to set the screen timeout to "never" on the AT&T version of the Lumia 920 is missing. Reports are that the option does exist in the Windows Phone 8.
Why would this not be a user choice on the AT&T version of the 920?
This is a big annoyance to those of us using docks and cradles.

I'm aware of that but asking AT&T would be useless and painful experience. Yes, I know there is a user forum on AT&T as well. You would need millions of people to ask the same question before they took notice. AT&T doesn't pay attention to individuals.
I'd put more faith that Nokia could have an influence in getting AT&T to change the setting than an AT&T customer would.
This posting is just a public posting to express an interest in having the option in the firmware, for others to express an interest as well and the hope that someone in the know could perhaps explain why it was removed.

Lumia 920 - Proximity Sensor

I have a Nokia Lumia 920 in black from Everything Everywhere (Which I have paid to have an unlock code and use on o2 UK) for the last week or so it appears the proximity sensor has been playing up. As soon as I make a call, answer a call or use Skype the screen turns off and I can only end the call by promptly pressing the power button and then quickly hitting the end call button before the screen turns off again.
It appears to me that the proximity sensor is detecting that the phone is still by my face even when I hold it away.
Is there a way I can diagnose this or will I have to send it in for repair?
If it goes in for repair, will it remain carrier unlocked as I paid for this?

Hi - I had this problem with two, yes two successive 920 handsets. Maby I was unlucky, but elsewhere online I can see that alot of customers have had this problem. Amazingly, it does not seem to be a software problem, but a physial problem. Dust gets actually under the glass. You may be able to see it by the front facing lens. The problem about ending calls happen becaue dust settles on he proximity sensor which is housed just above the N on the Nokia at the top right of the handset. I know this sounds crazy for a top of the range smartphone, but it does seem to be the cause. The shop I used allowed me to change to an HTC One without any quibbles. I was sad because I really lilked my 920s but not being able to finish a call is a showstopper. I thought of persevering with blowing compressed air at the top of the handset, but eventually concluded that if the phone is that bad after three weeks then there is no way it will last the duration of a 24 month contract!

How on at&t lumia 920 make change from 4g to 3g only or 2g only. Why we can do it like resto of WP8 users?

Since i was a symbian user..some features are very very essential in my daily phone usage (though some are rare)
So the required features/suggested
Camera/Photos :
1.Red eye reduction
2.Self-Timer
3.Details of photos like size,location,resolution, etc etc
4.Number of photos like how many photos are there in an album or phone..
5.wat is the use of having albums tab when u cant create one??!!
Media:
1.Heard that Stereo FM is gonna come soon with the next update of accessing fm radio and can also radio transmittor ?
Hope its coming soon...
2.Cant the equaliser me edited? and also be accessed from the music player ??
3.MKV Format files doesnt play !! (Yes, i have tried it)

1.Internet explorer has a problem.. i use my ie whn wifi is on and later after swtiching off wifi

1. You can use Nokia Creative Studio on the phone to fix red eye.
3. Install "Picture Info" from the store, it's free.
5. You need to ask Microsoft that question but it does show albums you've created in skydrive or facebook
Media:
1. Only a rumour, Microsoft at this moment does not support FM and the next update does not enable it. Even if the L920 did have the required hardware it would only work as a receiver, not a transmitter.
3. I don't believe Microsoft has added support for that.
Others:
1. Microsoft control IE featurs, if you press the menu dots then close all tabs you can easily exit.
2. Weird, GPS works well where I am, make sure you use it with a data connection.
3,4,5,6,7 & 8. You need to suggest that to Microsoft as it is their operating system, not Nokia's.

Photos missing from Camera Roll but but not from Whatsapp

This is some weird situation here. I got my new iphone (6). Old one was 4s. I backuped to my computer, then restored from backup for new iphone. But last 10-12 photos are missing from camera roll but when i try to send a photo to one of my whatsapp contacts i can see those photos there. Dont know what to do to bring them back. Help please

I also have the same problem. I upgraded a 3G to 4 iOS and lost one of 2 camera rolls. I've searched for the answers too and got next to nothing! I searched apple's support website using the iPhone as the device and used the key words: "iphone upgrade 4 lost photos" and got information on a mac laptop! I got more info by Googling the same key words but still no fix. So I called apple and after a few meager attempts I was told "Sorry they are lost". I asked about a fix coming out and was told they "are still examining the problem, to see if anything can even be done about it." Maybe it’s my fault for thinking any man made device could be dependable... I would give up my iPhone now and forever to retrieve those photos. They were mostly of my children, ages 3 and 5, taken over the last 2 years... starting in the AT&T store, the day I bought my iPhone.

Aftter seven months, and some teething problems, I am generally very happy with the Lumia 920 but there are some important features from earlier models which have been lost, making the Lumia 920 more difficult to use than necessary.
Profiles: the ability to set tones, ringing volume, alerts, etc for everyday, meetings and occasions when silence is needed has been lost. Each of these options has to be separately configured every time
Bluetooth on/off on the home screen. Now I have to open Settings when getting in and out of the car and scroll down to Bluetootch
Text editing: it is impossible to position the cursor between letters in a word.
No FM radio: there is internet radio available for use when in wifi range but FM radion would be much more useful
No support for apps that record voice conversations or voice calls.
I doubt that the elimination of these features saved any real money. The loss of profiles is a real bummer.

there are third party apps to create connectivity tiles, and probably WP8 will have this feature in GDR3

didn't you get the amber update yet? FM radio is enabled by amber GDR2+amber update

"show in itunes store" command missing from video library

updated to itunes 11.1, and ios7.
This isn't a pro or con diatribe, just a list of the minorish bugs that i have noticed:
First (probable?) bug:
With the latest update, the (control click) "show in itunes store" command is missing from all video layouts (unwatched, shows, genres) except "list".
I assume this is just a temporary bug, as it limits easy access to purchasable store content.
This is especially important since "check for available downloads", while still around, has been, as far as i can tell, completely nonfunctional for months.
I now have all my email notifications for passes turned on, and just manually click on the emails to download new content.
However, especially for shows with extra content, sometimes the email doesn't download the actual show, just the extra content.
for this reason, and for non pass shows, and just for general shopping and impulse buys, I liked to use the "show in itunes store" to easily check shows that i am currently interested in.
except that now it is gone.
Another (probable) bug:
I have a lot of purchased content, so i have the cloud turned off to control the flow of menu information. i don't need to see everything i have purchased all the time, only the newest shows that i actually have loaded onto the ipad. I still just load in the shows i want to watch from my main computer after i have downloaded them from apple to the hard drive, which i guess is now a bit old fashioned. ios7 doesn't seem to like this very much, as it initially displays the cloud content when opening the "video" app, before blanking and replacing it with the edited down version. But the real bug is this:
Now when i delete a video on the ipad, it crashes the "video" app.
And, instead of recognizing the delete when i sync to the computer, it ignores it and reloads the video onto the ipad.
......And finally:
There is still a tendency for the ipad and itunes to throw up the "sign in" pop up, often multiple times in a row, anywhere and for no reason, even when i am already signed in. Sometimes i can just hit "cancel" and it disappears, other times it forces me to retype my password. It's gotten a lot better and less frequent than when it first started earlier this year, but it's still around.
Having said this, I'm still, of course, a huge fan of the change earlier this year that keeps track of purchases and allows me redownload, instead of the old "lose it and its gone, tough luck" policy.

I have my sidebar turned on, but it doesn't seem to make a difference if it is showing or not.
I looked around in settings, view, and window for a way to modify the control click menu, but couldn't find anything.
It's a very minor issue.
If your menu is working, maybe I just need to delete my copy of itunes and reinstall. Or change a setting somewhere.

Lumia 920 / Problem with Store App

Right after I bought my Lumia 920, a added few applications (viber, instagram, etc.) using store app.
After few days, everytime I tried to open Store App, or even visit the market page using browser on my device, I got the same message:
''Service unavailable at the moment. Check again in a little while.''
My phone is totally blocked for downloading new Apps. I'm not able to, for example update ''What's Up'' App beacuse it's redirecting me automatically to Store. This haven't been changed for a while, about month or two. I even updated phone regulary once update was available, nothing changed after that. All other stuff is working perfectlly, so I'm not sure what could be the problem.

Is everything ok with your Microsoft account? You didn't change your password recently or anything like that? Try logging into your microsoft account just to make sure everything is ok.
