Lumia 928 camera - Action shot

I'm trying to figure out how to do something like what I see here with my 928.  I don't have an 'Action Shot' option, and can't seem to find any answer anywhere.

Action shot is part of the new Smart Camera application that is included with the 925 but will be made available for other Lumia WP 8 devices later this summer.

    I recently purchased the Lumia 928 and it works great except for when i take a picture.  I'm not using any lenses apps but every tap of the screen or click of the button creates 2 copies of the same photo.  If I delete one copy, they all disappear.  What's going on?

  • Nokia Lumia 928 camera & video has a green screen

    I just recently got my new phone and the camera was working great as I have 5 kids and enjoy taking thier pictures and uploading them so family can see however this week when I attempted to take a photo the camera went to a green screen when I pressed the side camera button. I have not dropped or done anything to damage the phone so I am puzzled as to why it all of a sudden stopped working. I have only taken maybe 30 photos so far. I even went into the setting mode under applications to the photos + camera tab and reset the camera, uunfortunatly it did not help.
    Does anyone know what can be done to fix this or what may help?

    Power down the phone....press and hold the power button till you get the "Slide down to power off" screen, and power it off.  Then restart it and you should be fine.  It's happened to several (check other forums.... )
    It happened to mine too, once since I've had it.  A reboot fixes it and it hasn't happened since.

  • Lumia 928 Front-Cam Pictures are Yellow

    Hello,
    After the recent Amber update, the phones takes HORRIBLE front-camera photos.  The white balance settings don't help at all and everything is given a yellow tint - people look like a cartoon from the Simpsons.  Please tell me this is being addressed in an update that won't make me wait until GDR3... I'm going back to school soon and I'd really like to show off the camera quality especially since it is such a beautiful phone.  Please fix this, I miss taking photos on my phone. 
    In addition, the pro-cam gives a yellow tint and softens images in the hi-res review.  I thought it would give the full HD review?

  • Ok so after the "Black" update on my Lumia 928 the flash decides to stop working,

    and yes I checked all settings and reset camera setting, ended up doing a hard reset and it started working again.... Only to go out again a couple days later, For a month and a half old phone I'm sure am dissapointed with this one so tell me Verizon, what should I do? Honestly I'd just like to swap for another one as it has other glitches too.... It doesnt have a scratch on it so please give me some guidance here!!!!

    Thanks to all of you, they did send me a B Stock "Like New" replacement but the flash works like a champ and it has no more problems than the new one did, sometimes it acts like im typing when i'm not and I have to shut it off and back on, and sometimes I go to unlock it and the home keys at the bottom light up but the screen doesn't, just usually have to give it a min or two and it whips itself back into shape, honestly I've worked for both Verizon and AT&T and have been an android guy for years. I'm really banking on Verizon pushing Windows Phone 8.1 to the Lumia 928 soon because if has half the improvements as Windows 8.1 did for my laptop ill be a happy camper. If it doesn't come I'm gonna complain like crazy about the issues above and hope I can swap back to Android on a new Galaxy S5. Verizon Wireless Customer SupportElector

  • Lumia 822 camera has greenish tint indoors

    My Nokia Lumia 822 camera has a greenish tint when used indoors.  Outside seems OK.  I heard a fix was coming but every time I click on Phone Update, it says my phone is up to date.  Any info on when I can expect a fix?

    I have a 822 the next day after purchasing it went solid green. I did the power cycle and it went away. However, every single picture I take has a green line on the boarder on one side and green tint. This has to be know to Nokia and a fix needs to be issued soon. Otherwise sales representatives aren't going to push their products. I know I'm the one doing the demo for my company to determine whichever win8 mobile handset we go with. So I will have to point this out in my review if not corrected. So Nokia lets fix this asap please. This is the one I want to recommend, not the competition.
    This is last week of march. February has come and gone. Where is the fix? Too many people noting these green problems on new equipment to be offered refurbs spells class action suit brewing down the road. If it is a code fix do it. If hardware do cross replacements with "NEW" unopened units. Leaving and ignoring leads to disaster in cost and reputations. Spend now,fix. Side step now,disaster later.

    I have a Lumia 928, updated it to black while in India.  I took some pictures using Panorama this weekend at a tourist location, and cannot find the files anywhere.  I have previously succussfully taked Panorama pictures and they have saved to the camara roll, but now they are not there.

    The issue starts since the phone was updated to Lumia Black, is that right? What troubleshooting procedures have you done so far? Did you try to use another camera lens application aside from this? If yes, can you see the pictures taken from it in camera roll? You also have the option to uninstall and reinstall the said app and let's find out if the issue still occurs.

  • G15 action shot

    I have recently purchased a G15 after several year of using G7. I am surprise to find a very limited scene modes on my G15. I'm I missing something or have I make a mistake. I do a lot of outdoor shooting at different landscape, views and action shots which the G7 made very simple. Have I made a mistake with G15?

    I'd guess that Canon decided that buyers would be photographers rather than picture takers. As such they'd know what setting do the best job in every situation. The G7 used a mode dial to access programmed settings for each of the things you've named such as scene mode, sport mode, night etc. As such there was a built in set of settings that used the meter reading to decide what ISO, shutter speed & aperture MIGHT give you a good photo. For those who've taken the time to learn the basic rules of photography doing the same or a better job on determining which settings to use is relatively simple, & they'll just set the camera up to get the shot & if it's off a bit they'll reset & shoot again.
    Fortunately it's easy to see results thanks to digital cameras & LCD's so now that you've spent the money take a bit of time to learn the basics & practice them learning & advancing as you go. For action you use the Tv mode (to set the Time Value or Shutter Speed). You need to pick a shutter speed setting that's high enough to freeze the action, but unlike the built in program of the G7 you pick a more perfectly matched shutter speed. For Landscapes you usually use Av  mode (aperture value) & learn what different settings do.
    No matter which camera you buy it's going to use the same combination of things to produce good photos, and that combination matches the ISO, the shutter speed & correct aperture to do it. No magic, just the rules that control an exposure, and more advanced cameras allow the user the control over those things.

    The only things that can run on an iPhone come from the App store... search there.

  • Problem with my Lumia 928... started after Amber update.

    First, I to state that I love my Lumia 928 and the Windows Phone 8 OS. Second, I've been a Third-Party Microsoft developer for over 14 years and just started developing for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. So, I'm not a normal consumer but one that will try everything in my toolbox before asking for help or even writing posts like this.
    History:
    As of October 6, 2013, Verizon is sending me a new phone (not guaranteed to be new. ) to see if that fixes the issue
    Used for work and personal emails so I can't just go and do a "hard" reset without have extreme headaches.Last resort before I get my "new" phone, I've broken down and started doing a "hard" reset (actually this is my second time).
    No damage to the phone (Verizon employee has confirmed these, hence the new replacement)
    No cracked screen
    No frame cracked
    No water damage
    Shortly after the Amber update, I started having problems. In order of oldest issue first.
    Lock upsRandom apps just freeze. No rhyme or reason. No pattern. Just all over the board.
    No touch responseSide buttons work but that does be no good when I can't select anything on the screen. Solution, "soft" reset and things are good... for a while.
    Phone call speakerStarted losing phone calls. Thought it was a signal issue until I noticed that the call were not actually dropped. Speaker just started cutting in and out (completely) and sometimes it would just dim to almost nothing and then come back.

    This is new as of October 5, 2013
    October 4, 2013, nothing was wrong. Then the next day, my Live account associated with my phone stopped working. Keeps saying "Not up to-date". Had to create another account to get my emails. As of today, it's still not working. Unfortunately, I didn't write down the error code so I can't post that here.
    Is anyone else experiencing these issues after the Amber update and if so, what did you do to resolve it (if you did)?

    The Amber update came to our Lumia 928 and we had just activated it like one or two weeks prior, so we were just getting to know the phone.  In answer to your difficulties following the Amber update:

    My screen is cracked due to a drop, prior to the Amber update.  (Yeah, it was nearly brand new when I dropped it   )  That doesn't seem to affect the overall function of the phone though. 
    So, to sum, I am experiencing some of the issues you described, but I'm not sure it's Amber, maybe just the phone design itself.  I don't know that a "new" phone will resolve things either.  Please do keep us posted...

  • I have a Rebel T3i zoom for action shots??

    I received this camera last year for Christmas. I wanted it to take action shots of my son playing soccer and my daughter horseback riding. It has the lense it came with and I'm wondering if I need to upgrade my lense to get great pictures. I can't seem to zoom in when it's set to action mode is that normal? I'm VERY new to photography. I've read through the users manual but not getting anywhere fast. If it's the lense then which lense would be sufficient for what I would like to do?

    We can't tell you much without knowing what lens you've been using but if you want to shoot day time sports there are a few zooms which can do a good to great job but night sports is a very different thing. Be prepared to dig deep if you're really serious but if you can live with good vs great image quality (No matter which way you go there is a learning curve so allow some time to perfect your technique). On the lower end I'd recommend researching the Tamron 70-300 VC & Canon 70-300 IS. A better lens but also shorter reach wise is the Canon 70-200 f4 L or better yet (& more $) is the 70-200 f4 L IS and even more expensive are the 70-300 L IS & 100-400 L IS but it may be a bit long at the wide end for the soccer.

  • Lumia 928 keyboard lag

    Hi-
    Just got a Lumia 928. All is well except the keyboard lags in all apps if I'm in portrait mode. Landscape seems ok. Any ideas?

    I have the same problem, and this lag is extremely annoying. To clarify, there is a lag (half-second or so) between the shutter sound and the actual exposure taken -- and this is true whether or not I half-press to prefocus.
    I'm guessing they wanted to avoid the reviewers pointing out the long shutter lag and just made the phone emit the shutter sound right at full press, no matter when the camera actually takes the picture. The solution for me so far is to know this happens and hold the camera still a second after the shutter sound, and press the button early. I'm just hoping that somebody releases a better camera app and this would be fixed, along with the whole issue of the shutter lag and lack of photographic controls. Maybe even Nokia itself could do it, instead of playthings like "smart camera".
    Generally, the 928's camera is a big step down from my previous Nokia N8, unfortunately. (The rest of the phone is much better though.)

  • How Long Nokia Care Takes to Repair a Lumia 928 Au...

    I have send my Lumia 928 to Nokia Care on Last June 21 as it has developed a audio problem during the warrenty
    It has been more than 60 Days now still the tracking shows it is in repair and the hot line agents cannot also give reason for the delay.
    Is it normal for them to take so long? because the tracking site says it only takes 7-10 days?

  • Nokia Lumia 928 (with the Denim WP 8.1 update) compatible with PTT Plus?

    Why does My Verizon say my Nokia Lumia 928 (with the Denim WP 8.1 update) is compatible with PTT Plus when it emails the link to download it it says it's for android??? Can someone clarify?
