Lumia 928 - Glance Screen Problems

I have just updated my Lumia 928 to WP8.1.1 & Denim. When I try to engage the Glance Screen settings, all I get is a blank screen w/ the Glance Screen Header but no controls. I have tried restarting the phone and about everything else i can think of to no avail.
Any suggestions?

I have the same issue - it seemed to be fixed after I rolled the phone back to factory settings and restored my backup. But when my apps all finally updated the issue occured again. Clearly seems to be a problem with the Glance update since it occured right after that went through.
For me, the glance settings are blank and when I put the phone to sleep I can still see that the screen is still on although it does not show anything from glance. Also, the back, home, and search buttons no longer illuminate. This is super annoying since not only can I not see my glance screen but now my battery drains much faster due to the screen being on.
Did you make any progress with the SW recovery tool?

By any chance that you have a preview developer firmware installed on your Lumia 830?

Lumia 625 glance screen

When i have bought nokia Lumia 625 it comes with Lumia amber update. And now i have updated to Lumia black update. In my Lumia 625 no glance screen before black update or after black update.

It cannot be prevented. The phone does not have the hardware required for the feature to work.

Lumia 1020 lock screen problem

I have just updated my lumia 1020 but I don't know how to unlock or disable lock screen. I locked it with my photo. please help.

Have you tried a soft reset ? Press and hold both the Volume Down and Power key for 15 seconds. After 15 seconds, the display will turn off and the phone will vibrate and restart.

Lumia 720 touch screen problem Bought Today!!!!!!

Earlier today I bought a Lumia 720 on contract with o2, I got home and turned the phone on. Everything seemed fine as I set up my microsoft etc. However I noticed it began to open tiles itself. When I was using the phone the screen would change like, well like somebody else was using it too. I went on calculator and when I took my hands away from the touchpad I noticed that something was setting off the touch screen, setting off all of the buttons on the calculator. It looks like something is setting off the touch screen without anything actually being near. I have factory reset the phone but it still continues. I will return the phone to o2 if I can't find a solution.

Just return it back to the store ASAP thats what id do.

have you checked that you are up to date with all the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store? also try performing a soft reset too.

Nokia Lumia (928) Problem.

I've recently been having this problem with my Nokia Lumia 928, I was doing a reset (Factory Reset) on my phone when I've been on spinning gears for a few couples last night. Waited and nothing, so I looked around and tried find other solutions.
I did the soft reset/hard reset but all I've been getting is the low battery, I plug it into the charger for a good 30 minutes + But still won't turn on and still saying it is low battery. I tried doing the resets again but basically all I'm getting are the two, spinning gears and the low battery. Also, while it's charging it randomly go'es to the spinning gears.

-Took Sim card out

Problem with my Lumia 928... started after Amber update.

First, I to state that I love my Lumia 928 and the Windows Phone 8 OS. Second, I've been a Third-Party Microsoft developer for over 14 years and just started developing for Windows 8 and Windows Phone 8. So, I'm not a normal consumer but one that will try everything in my toolbox before asking for help or even writing posts like this.
History:
As of October 6, 2013, Verizon is sending me a new phone (not guaranteed to be new. ) to see if that fixes the issue
Used for work and personal emails so I can't just go and do a "hard" reset without have extreme headaches.Last resort before I get my "new" phone, I've broken down and started doing a "hard" reset (actually this is my second time).
No damage to the phone (Verizon employee has confirmed these, hence the new replacement)
No cracked screen
No frame cracked
No water damage
Shortly after the Amber update, I started having problems. In order of oldest issue first.
Lock upsRandom apps just freeze. No rhyme or reason. No pattern. Just all over the board.
No touch responseSide buttons work but that does be no good when I can't select anything on the screen. Solution, "soft" reset and things are good... for a while.
Phone call speakerStarted losing phone calls. Thought it was a signal issue until I noticed that the call were not actually dropped. Speaker just started cutting in and out (completely) and sometimes it would just dim to almost nothing and then come back.

This is new as of October 5, 2013
October 4, 2013, nothing was wrong. Then the next day, my Live account associated with my phone stopped working. Keeps saying "Not up to-date". Had to create another account to get my emails. As of today, it's still not working. Unfortunately, I didn't write down the error code so I can't post that here.
Is anyone else experiencing these issues after the Amber update and if so, what did you do to resolve it (if you did)?

The Amber update came to our Lumia 928 and we had just activated it like one or two weeks prior, so we were just getting to know the phone. In answer to your difficulties following the Amber update:

My screen is cracked due to a drop, prior to the Amber update. (Yeah, it was nearly brand new when I dropped it ) That doesn't seem to affect the overall function of the phone though.
So, to sum, I am experiencing some of the issues you described, but I'm not sure it's Amber, maybe just the phone design itself. I don't know that a "new" phone will resolve things either. Please do keep us posted...

I can see if we can get your phone back on! I understand how important it is to have a phone. Have you tried this to see if we can get it back on? http://vz.to/1DZhteH . If it is still goes to a red Verizon screen and then to black we might need to do a master reset. While the phone is off try this:http://vz.to/1DZhXkU Be mindful this is the last resort because it will erase everything on the phone. Lumia 730 wifi issues and glance screen option

I am having issues with wifi.
Though the wifi is connected, i was not able to use internet either browse / apps.
The wifi only works then, need to off and on.
This is happening right from the start of purchase.
Sometimes i use to soft reset and use, it works fine for the halfday and there goes issue again.
Previously i was using Lumia 720, and upgraded to 730 due to dual sim, with the same wifi router at home and at office.
Could you please help here.
Also why there is no Glance Screen option in Lumia 730.
Why Why...lumia devices(hardware) differ from one device to other devices though its a same combinaiton of Hardware + Software.

Nokia Lumia 928 Texting Problem

Just upgraded to the Lumia 928 (white) yesterday. A few hours after getting home with the device I realized I was not receiving text messages. I began to troubleshoot to the best of my knowledge. I can send/receive calls, send/receive picture messages, and send texts. The only thing I can't do is receive texts. I have had two friends both attempt to send me texts multiple times with no luck. I plan to go back to verizon today for their assistance, but was maybe hoping someone else in the forums was having the same issues. Any ideas?

I had the same problem with my new 928. Doing a complete shutdown and restart fixed the issue for me. I held the middle button on the phone until the shut-down dialog opened, used that to power down and restarted about a minute later. I've had no issues with text since doing that.

Glance Screen for Lumia 625

Hello. I just bought this monster phone, the Lumia 625. I'm kinda wondering why it does not have the glance screen on it? Is it available for installation?

Why is it so crucial?
Well, as far as I know any other mobile phone manufacturer doesn't have that feature so that's really setting those Lumia phones apart from other phone models, whether it's iPhone or Android.
I'm almost happy with my Lumia 930 and Icon but there are two mistakes Nokia did when they released those models:
1) glance is missing. OK, it would've costed more money to order those kind of displays from the subcontractor but it sure would've been worth every penny even though the phone would've been more expensive. Just look at the prices of iPhone 6. Just would've had to set the price below iPhone (to gain more market share within global mobile phone market) and advertise the glance. That's a brilliant feature and I miss it. But like they say "minimum effort, maximum gain"...
2) 41MP camera and xenon flash. Should've Lumia 930 been equipped with the similar camera & flash & glance like Lumia 1020, it would've been the greatest phone Nokia has ever released. Bigger display, quad-core processor etc. compared to Lumia 1020.
I sincerely hope Microsoft would combine all those aforementioned great features in one of them future phone models. Until then, IMO Lumia 1020 is the best phone Nokia/Microsoft released. 41MP camera, xenon flash, glance and the one of the easiest phone models to replace the screen/display if it gets broken

I have a lumia 720 and i am addicted to glance screen and don't know whether lumia 735 will have a glance screen as lumia 730 lacks glance, glance is a key feature that attracts me to a windows phone.
