Lumia 930 - purple screen, + nokia camera

My Lumia 930 has a strange problem with the camera in a dark light. The camera in the dark light has a strange glow on the screen.
When Microsoft will release a patch system removes the effect of purple?.

Today I go to the store and service Nokia - print up photos with the problem of purple. I wonder what they will do. I reported this problem also for Microsoft / Nokia.
I am angry with this phone.

Lumia 930 blank screen during call

My Lumia 930 screen goes blank during all calls. Iti is black whether the phone is next to my ear or not. In practice I cannot end a call or do anything else cause the screen keyboard is not available.
My son has a Lumia 920 which had very much the same problem but it was somehow fixed when the device was at Nokia service last year because of some camera problems. No idea still about the root cause of that case either.
Any idea how to fix my blank screen problem?

I have the exact same issue with my brand new Lumia 930 - the screen goes black (a bit randomly) when talking on the phone. I used a trick decribed in a post with the same issue on a 920, which is to firmly wipe just above the N in Nokia in the top right corner on the phone (where the sensors are) which helps. However, it is not really fixing the problem.
Is there anybody knowing another solution but to return the phone, which feels a bit cumbersome to say the least?

Lumia 930 amoled screen likely to burn in?

I am trying to decide about buying a Nikia Lumia 930.
What I would like to know is the wether or not the screen will show signs of burnin after extended use.

To prevent overheating, the phone might start lowering display brightness, data connection speed, pause charging or close applications in the background. Lumia 930 strange sound from camera

just noticed that it sounds as if some ventilator is active as soon as you start the camera on the Lumia 930, sort of hissing sound... anyone else notice this? what could be the cause?

Lumia 930 - Replacement Screen

Is there anywhere in North America that I can order a replavcement screen for a NOKIA 930? I had the phone for a month - its awesome. However, I dropped it on ceramic tile floow and the screen spider webed.
I have someone who can do the replacement workl - I just need the screen.

Mine also landed on the floor, metal rim came in contact with the floor but gorilla glass shattered none the less. Not nearly as robust as my previous 800 or 920. Nokia site to book a repair also doesnt work - giving an error. Boo

Does Lumia 930 support LTE in India?

I checked the specs of Lumia 930 @ http://www.nokia.com/in-en/phones/phone/lumia930/specifications/
It doesn't show LTE in Data Network support.
But, LTE support is mentioned in Nokia global website @ http://www.nokia.com/global/products/phone/lumia930/specifications/
I am confused ...
Are there two versions (LTE and non-LTE) of Lumia 930?
Does Indian version of Lumia 930 support LTE?

As per the band frequency , I think handset should have LTE 2300 for working LTE connection in India and i think Lumia 930 India specifications doesnt have it.
Currently India has very less 4G/LTE ,though its rolling out in varying parts of the country. So if possible by software update it can be enabled but for now i think NO. Also I am not sure whether this can be enabled by a software update.

Lumia 930 camera acting weird.

I was excited to get the Nokia lumia 930, after few weeks the phone slipped of my hands and dropped on a concrete floor from a sitting position. I got away with small scratche. But after approximatly a week my camera started acting weird. Its was making way to much noises then normal, and it stabilises the screen very hard. Its blinking most of the time, like some ghost activity.
Is this possible to be caused by some app on my phone? or was affected by the fall? can i fix it somehow or should i contact my mobile operator? Please help

I guess it's likely that the impact the phone were exposed to is the reason for this, although it's hard to know for sure without the possibility to see it.
It isn't impossible that an app could cause this, and it's pretty easy just to start uninnstalling apps from the most recent one after the fail occured just to check. You could even back up and sync what you need and just perform a full reset of your phone.
But, as mentioned, it's likely to be a hardware fault. I would bring it to a Nokia care point for an inspection. If the fault can be related to you dropping it, the warranty is voided and you will have to pay for the repair.

Nokia Lumia 930 Defects or Firmware Issues

I recently upgraded to a Nokia Lumia 930, I had a 920 for ages and loved it. However, I had to replace my first 930 within two days as there was a hardware issue with one of the back buttons not working (when the phone heated up the back button would start pressing itself and get stuck sometimes).
I've had the new Lumia 930 (the replaced one) for two months now and the following problems have come to my attention:
Double tap to wake goes through phases where it just does not work. I've tried pressing down on the top right corner to see if it rectifies the problem but it does not (not sure how double tap to wake uses the proximity sensor, is this not dependant on the display). I do however have seen that double tap to wake stops working after charging the phone (I'm able to reproduce the behaviour repeatedly)? It will after a few hours of work just magically return to normal?
Proximity sensor goes through stages where it does not work either. I can't for certain say this happens after every charge but maybe it's just a coincidence that this happened after my last charge.
Some notification sounds do not sound at all, it seems to only happen when the display is turned off (or when the device is in standby?). Notifications including sounds such as locking and unlocking the phone aren't always played.
The screen does not turn on sometimes when and if a notification comes through (they do not always sound as in point 3 above).
Hey Cortana performance is terrible, it just doesn't work if the phone is not unlocked.
Gestures Beta has never worked on my Lumia 930, albeit a beta, I never have had any problems with it on my Lumia 920.
Things I consider to be the culprit:
There are so many issues with my device while it is in standby, that it seems to me that it might be a firmware problem? I can't image how being in low power mode would affect the device sensors (unless there is some kind of voltage drop in standby and the device's sensors are unable to function). Unsure why it seems to be fine when the device is unlocked.
I can't explain what charging does to double tap to wake, but the fact that this happens after every charge leads me to believe there is something here.
Things I have tried:
Pressing right hand corner of screen for double tap to wake. Did not help (also saw somebody going on about the phone bending in another post, my device is in a hard cover and the 930 has Gorilla glass 3, not sure it will bend at all).
Hard reset and reload firmware. Did not help (Currently running Denim).
Anyone experiencing the same problems and any solutions? I came here after being directed by Microsoft Mobile's facebook page. They don't seems to think posting my problems on facebook is a good idea. Honestly, this is my second Lumia 930 and after reading up on all the issues with the double tap to wake have a came to one conclusion: The build quality of this device is terrible.

Here's an update.
In frustration I tried pressing harder in the right hand corner, and if course that solves the issues (Lovely design flaw this). Although only temporarily and I still don't know how the charging is capable of affecting this at all.
My suggestion to Microsoft would be to allow in the next firmware update to allow users to disable this sensor. It seems that this sensor (or the light sensor next to it, who knows) is used to determine if the device is allowed to "Unlock" using double tap to wake. If this is the case, the device will simply ignore it when you tap on the screen (at the cost of somehow waking up in your pocket, a small price to pay)?
Anyhow, anyone's take on this?

Lumia 930 app like glance screen

I need some app which will work something like glance screen - peak option. I have Nokia cp-637 case, and wish some applications which will turn on screen when I open cp-637 case.
Something like on Samsung.

Nokia Camera on 930

Hi,
I have bought new lumia 930 for few days , when i start clickin on nokia camera icon from main page the software not working and i try it from start menu it will return me to the same page on start but the software not working , i try to uninstall it and reinstall it again but the same issue is coming.

Try the following:
Select Menu > Camera > Options (three dots) > Settings > Restore camera settings > Yes
Press and hold the Power and Volume Down keys simultaneously for 10-15 seconds. Release and the phone will restart. After this operation, you may need to set the date and time on the phone.
Reset your phone: Select Settings > About > Reset your phone. Note that this will erase your data, so back it up beforehand.

Black screen during calling with the lumia 930

I just received the lumia 930 a few days ago. Perfect device however every time I want to make a call the screen goes black. I had a lumia 920 without this problem. Is there a solution? (without blowing the dust, restoring to factory settings or bringing the device back to the store?). This is such a devastating problem as it is almost impossible to just answer the phone. A have no protective cover etc.

I saw that if I use a cloth to clean (or simulate cleaning the display on top of the sensor) and bright light then it comes back for a few seconds... enough to be able to end the call. Not able in any way to dial keys as for example to join a conference call.
I also checked to see if is possible to make an application to disable the sensor... However, so far I couldn't see such option. Every application will ask OS to provide access to devices, and no other app can interfere there. Although I have plan to just build an app to test all phone sensors.
This proximity sensor seems very sensitive. It could be calibration issue, which then should be fixed by firmware. But Microsoft should consider this and at least allow the possibility to disable in the Phone app the proximity feature. I could live very well without it. In the past I was just pressing the power button and screen will go off.
So, Microsoft/Nokia, here are people that believe in you! Do not disappoint us!

Camera focus problems - Lumia 930

Anyone able to help me please?
I've got my gorgeous new Lumia 930 but I've noticed I'm having problems scanning QR codes.
The camera just won't focus on the code and so does nothing when I try and scan.
I've tried a soft reset but still no joy.
Now I've realised that the camera just won't focus at all :-(

camera won't focus even when using the camera normally for taking photos? check that you are up to date with the latest firmware for your device along with the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store, and try performing a soft reset. also try uninstalling then reinstalling Nokia Camera from the Store.

Can't connect to Eduroam on my WP 8 Nokia Lumia 930

So, I just got the new Lumia 930, which I am very happy with, however I can not seem to get it to connect to Eduroam at the university I work at. When I go to the page where I am suppose to 'join' or 'download' whatever I need, 'securew2', (using the phone)
it detects that I am using a Windown Phone, but it only just gives me settings to 'configure my device'. Such as:
SecurityType:WPA2-Enterprise
Encryption: AES
EAP Type: TTLS
Inner EAP Type: PAP
CA Certificate: UTN-USERFirst-Hardware, AddTrust etc..
When I then go into WiFi and click on Eduroam, I try to log in with my user-credentials. I can also look through a list of certificates but none of them seem to be the right one. The only choice I really get is the EAP-method, where I change it from PEAP
MA-CHAP v2 (which did not work) to TTLS. Then I am asked to verify that it is the right network, which it is - with the name of the university and everything - I click OK....and then there is a full stop. I only get a 'can't connect' message. Very frustrating.
I talked to the IT people at here, and they verified my user credentials, and told me that people with Windows Phones had trouble connecting to Eduroam.
As should be abundantly clear by now I am technologically challenged, so please help help help me fix this. If for no other reason then to silence my snickering, iPhone-loving colleagues.

I just bought a Nokia Lumia 735 and I have the same problem. Unable to connect the Eduroam network in my laboratory. It seem that I have to put an other certificate which is not on my device (from TERENA), and I did not find how to do it.
It is a bit disappointing to be blocked on such a new device. My previous phone, an old Iphone 3gs, was able to connect very easily...
Please help, or I will regret my choice to switch on Windows Phone (if I add the poor choice regarding the apps on the Store...).

I've just noticed that the video function of Nokia Camera is not working.
The camera function *is* working.
Video *does* work using the standard Camera app. (so the camera _can_ take video!)
I've reset the camera, restarted a few times, still no joy.
this is for v4.5.1.7 on a Lumia 920 running Lumia Black software.
