Lumia 930 strange sound from camera

just noticed that it sounds as if some ventilator is active as soon as you start the camera on the Lumia 930, sort of hissing sound... anyone else notice this? what could be the cause?

Hi, ferjan. We can't confirm what's causing that issue. When did you notice it? Does it happen regardless of the camera application you're using? You may try the steps provided here: "My camera is not working correctly". Note that the page is intended for the US, but it is applicable regardless of the location. Let us know the outcome.

Xperia z2 strange noise - from camera ?

Hi all
I have a question is it me or some of you have notice : this little sound getting from i think camera ...
When i am taping on screen around notification and fast settings i hear this sound like something is loose in upper right corner .
Everything is working fine no strange sound when i am calling etc . i am concerned about this because who know it might be something bigger soon . this sound is getting even bigger when i am tapping right side of the phone ( aluminium edge/bezel ) .
I tried to find something on forum but no luck .

Hi, unless it gets VERY noisy/worse i wouldn't worry about it....as mentioned the part of the actual camera 'floats' .......if you were to send it in it would probably be returned with a no fault found slip
BUT if you do want peace of mind there is nothing stopping you from contacting your local Xperia Care Centre.....

Nokia Lumia 800 (strange sound)

Noticed last night that when i press any of the 3 buttons at the bottom of the screen a strange crackling/buzzing sound happens. Also happens at the start of an incoming phone call. Sounds like the speaker is dodgy. Anyone got a similar experience or know what might be worng.? I have vibrate turned off so i know its not that.

I have also just noticed that the camera button is loose and rattles, but im not sure this directly linked to the strange sound coming from the home buttons.

Lumia 930: rattling sound

Hello, I just received my Lumia 930. When I gently shake it, it makes a rattling sound (if that's the right word), like something small inside is loose. Is this normal?
Somebody mentioned to me this is the camera unit. But not sure. Should I return it?

Lumia 930 - purple screen, + nokia camera

My Lumia 930 has a strange problem with the camera in a dark light. The camera in the dark light has a strange glow on the screen.
When Microsoft will release a patch system removes the effect of purple?.

Today I go to the store and service Nokia - print up photos with the problem of purple. I wonder what they will do. I reported this problem also for Microsoft / Nokia.

Strange sounds from my new iMac

I have these strange sounds going out of my iMac, it's from various apps,
How can I monitor where the sounds come from and for what reason?
I've looked in system preferences -> sound
but nothing were relevant there.

No matter how minor it is, you should NOT be troubleshooting a Mac that has a window of 14 days of the purchase date no questions asked return and/or replacement date warranty. What you are saying is you have no problem spending $2000+ on a buggy Mac.

Strange Sounds from my iPhone 5 screen

Just got my second iPhone 5 (16gb) from the Apple Store in Stockholm / Sweden and i notised that this one also have the same problem as my last one that got replaced. The problem is that im getting some strange cracking sounds from the bottom left / right side of the screen (screenshot: http://i.imgur.com/JSuOO.jpg ). It feels like theres some gap between the screen and the part thats "holding" the screen.
anyone else having this problem? or is it just normal with the iPhone 5?

user damage invalidates the warranty .You have no warranty in the US .You can return it in person to Apple Store in US and they may repair it if just broken glass if more damage then an exchange unit will be $269 + tax

Strange sounds from Mac Pro

Strange clicks going from Mac Pro soon after power up.
It may going from memory cage when temperature of memory is rising.
Any ideas?

Or the graphic card if it has a fan. Or the fans if one is loose.
You should at least for awhile monitor the temperatures with one of the free/shareware utilities. If you push the system, you might even want to boost the fans from their default.
Try running Apple Hardware Test after you check for dust, loose cards. Could it be the PSU?

Strange Sounds from tower

My Pavillion 1047 tower makes 'camera shutter' like sounds, on a fairly regular basis. Has anyone else experienced this and have a fix?

It can be as simple as the "sounds" associated with various activities. See Control Panel, Sounds, Sounds Tab.

Strange sounds from speaker...

I have been noticing when I play music, whether it's from my headphones or from the speaker, occasionally my music sounds like a radio station that is out of range, if you know what I mean. It's that mix of music and white noise put together, and it sounds like a radio station. It's not just the songs, it's whenever I type a message or lock the phone. It sounds like the speakers are blown, but they aren't because they are just fine after a few minutes. The sound is definitely not turned up all the way, and neither is the ringer. I have no idea why it is doing this. I've never heard it happen since before the update.

Have you tried the standard troubleshooting procedures such as powering your iPhone off and on and/or a reset, which is done by pressing and holding the home button and the sleep/wake or on/off button simultaneously until you see the Apple logo and then release - ignoring the slide to turn off prompt when doing so?
If so with no change, the next step is restoring your iPhone with iTunes and be sure to sync your iPhone with iTunes immediately before doing so to update your iPhone's backup if needed.
If no change after any or all, give AppleCare a call at (800) 694-7466, or make an appointment at an Apple Store if there is one nearby.

Strange sound from the speaker

I was updating the Eclipse editor. My CPU went up to 50-70% and the fans startet to spin.
I was listening to music at the same time(iTunes) with the Macbook speakers. Suddenly I heard two little click from the speakers and the sound disapear. The click sound was like hitting the macbook with your nail.
Is this something normal? Or si it any components who got damaged because of the heat? It shouldn't be.

When my camera is not activated, if I mildly shake my Lumia 930 I can hear a strange clicking sound on the upper part of the device, just arround the camera lense. Can it be the lenses just shaking, because when the camera is activated that sound disappears.

Hi, Tomislav5. Welcome to Microsoft Mobile Community. How long have you been noticing this issue? Did you change any settings on the device that may cause this to happen? Make sure that the system apps on the device are all updated. You may check it by going to Store > ... > settings > check for updates. You may also try rebooting your phone by pressing and holding the volume down and the power keys at the same for 10-15 seconds and see if it makes any difference. you may need to set the date and the time after this operation. We'll wait for your response.

Camera focus problems - Lumia 930

Anyone able to help me please?
I've got my gorgeous new Lumia 930 but I've noticed I'm having problems scanning QR codes.
The camera just won't focus on the code and so does nothing when I try and scan.
I've tried a soft reset but still no joy.
Now I've realised that the camera just won't focus at all :-(

camera won't focus even when using the camera normally for taking photos? check that you are up to date with the latest firmware for your device along with the latest Nokia system app updates from the Store, and try performing a soft reset. also try uninstalling then reinstalling Nokia Camera from the Store.

Lumia 930 camera acting weird.

I was excited to get the Nokia lumia 930, after few weeks the phone slipped of my hands and dropped on a concrete floor from a sitting position. I got away with small scratche. But after approximatly a week my camera started acting weird. Its was making way to much noises then normal, and it stabilises the screen very hard. Its blinking most of the time, like some ghost activity.
Is this possible to be caused by some app on my phone? or was affected by the fall? can i fix it somehow or should i contact my mobile operator? Please help

I guess it's likely that the impact the phone were exposed to is the reason for this, although it's hard to know for sure without the possibility to see it.
It isn't impossible that an app could cause this, and it's pretty easy just to start uninnstalling apps from the most recent one after the fail occured just to check. You could even back up and sync what you need and just perform a full reset of your phone.
But, as mentioned, it's likely to be a hardware fault. I would bring it to a Nokia care point for an inspection. If the fault can be related to you dropping it, the warranty is voided and you will have to pay for the repair.
