Lumia 930 turning off the lock button alert?

Hi,
Recently i got the Nokia 930 with Win 8.1, Which i've been liking a lot.
But i am trying to figure out how to turn the screen unlock button alert off? I have gone into settings>ringtones and sounds and unchecked the option for 'play a sound for lock and unlock'.
However my phone keeps making this bubbling sound each time i lock/unlock the screen. personally i find the sound pointless and would like it off permanently, does anyone know how to turn it off?
Thanks

    Hi,
    Power Button Lockout is displayed.
The monitor's Power Button Lockout function is enabled.
Press and hold the Power button for 10 seconds to unlock the Power button function.
If the above doesn't work then try a monitor reset.  Unplug the monitor’s power cord and hold down the monitor’s power button for 30-60 seconds. Plug the monitor back in and power it up.

  • IPod Touch turns off when lock button is pressed.

My father accidentally put my dog's cage on top of my iPod Touch...surprisingly it was fine. Or so I thought. A few minutes later the volume started acting strange, which I think was a problem with the button. Somehow I fixed that after playing around with it. But when I pressed the lock button, the iPod turned off, and wouldn't turn back on, as if it had no battery life whatsoever. When I got home, I plugged it in, and thankfully it responded. I thought it was fine, until I tried to press the lock button again. It completely dies every time the button is pressed. Which I suppose is alright, as long as I never press that button again but that's rather annoying. Any ideas on what to do with that?

Sounds like you have a internal connection problem in the iPod. I would make an appointment at the Genius Bar of a local Apple store.

  • How can I turn off the New Mail alert on my iPod Touch?

I have an iPod Touch (version 6.1.3). The other day I was waiting for an important e-mail, so I  turned on the New Mail alert. It worked fine. Now I want to turn it off, but  I can't. I went into Settings and then to Sounds and changed the selection from the sound I'd selected ("Bell") to None. It says "None" but every time I get a new e-mail, it still makes the bell sound.
I also tried going into Notifications and then to New Mail Sound and setting it to "None" but that didn't change anything
    Any ideas what I'm missing?
    Thanks!

Try removing the mail totally from your notifications center.
I have everything turned off and the banner set to none.

  • Turning off the Verizon Severe Alerts

How do I turn off the Severe Alerts received from Verizon? The one at 6:12 Am yesterday morning was the straw that broke the camel's back, not to mention the 3 that have been received today. This is a telephone, if I want severe alerts I'll turn on the TV or Radio!

Okay just noticed after a reset that I now have no emergency alerts in text settings.  What?  Doesn't really matter to me but Verizon doesn't even list this phone as wea capable so I'm wondering how they got there and why aren't they there now?  I've got the emergency alert setting but when I click that there is nothing there.  Oh well never received the alerts anyway.

The music app keeps shuffling my songs despite me turning off the shuffle sign...whats going on?

    Try:
    - Reset the iOS device. Nothing will be lost
Reset iOS device: Hold down the On/Off button and the Home button at the same time for at
least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
    - Unsync/delete all music and resync
To delete all music go to Settings>General>Usage>Storage>Music>Tap edit in upper right and then tap the minus sign by All Music
    - Reset all settings
Go to Settings > General > Reset and tap Reset All Settings.
All your preferences and settings are reset. Information (such as contacts and calendars) and media (such as songs and videos) aren’t affected.
    - Restore from backup. See:
iOS: Back up and restore your iOS device with iCloud or iTunes
    - Restore to factory settings/new iOS device.
If still problem, make an appointment at the Genius Bar of an Apple store since it appears you have a hardware problem.

  • How to permanently turn off the Session Management alert

    Hello,
I have a certain iView that is working through https.
Whenever I go to this iView I receive this pop up:
    Session Management will not work!
You can turn off this alert inside 'Support Desk' -> 'SAP Application'
I am turning this alert off and I don't see it anymore but after we are doing a server restart it is turned on again and again I need to turn it off.
How can I turn this alert off permanently, even after a server restart?

yes its all a bit strange isnt it ...... the AlertSessionManagementMismatch appears to be runtime in nature - in that if you disable the session management alerting using the support desk approach - this value becomes false.  Yet a restart doesnt keep it at false.
What I discovered is - IGNORE what you see when you edit the service - change it physically to FALSE (even if it says false) and save it. This will persist it at the next restart.

  • How do I turn off the "locked" setting on my documents

A new feature of OS 10.7 that I never experienced on older versions of OS is that my documents will automatically "lock" themselves if I go for a period of time without using them.
Now, it's not a difficult thing to overcome. A dialogue box lets me "unlock" the documents with one click.
But even one click is annoying. I don't want any of my documents to lock at all, under any circumstances.
How can I instruct my Mac to turn off this feature? I can't find any related setting in the system preferences.
It doesn't even seem to be working as its supposed to. Some of my documents autmatically revert to the "locked" setting just days after I use them.

Check the Time Machine prefPane. IIRC, there's an option to select locking files, which has nothing to do with TM.

  • Hi, i turned off the announce when alerts are displayed feature on my macbook pro but it is still saying "alert" when my battery is running low...how do i turn that off?

HELP!!!!! The "alert" thing keeps talking and wont turn off!!!!!

It sounds like Voice Over is still on.
In any case, under System Preferences > Accessibility under Voice Over click Open Voiceover Utility... and then make sure under Verbosity > Announcements that "Automatically Speak Text in Dialog Boxes" is unchecked.

    Hello Dorothea5916,
It sounds like you changed your forum account preferences and now they have changed back, and you have an unauthorized purchase on your iTunes Store account and have concerns about your account security. I recommend first changing your Apple ID password with this article:
    Apple ID: Changing your password
    http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5624
Go to My Apple ID (appleid.apple.com).
Click “Manage your Apple ID” and sign in.
If you have two-step verification turned on, you'll be asked to send a verification code to the trusted device associated with your Apple ID. If you're unable to receive messages at your trusted device, follow the guidelines for what to do if you can't sign in with two-step verification.
    Click "Password and Security".
In the "Choose a new password" section, click Change Password.
Enter your old password, then enter a new password and confirm the new password. Click Save when done.
The next time you use an Apple feature or service that uses Apple ID, you'll be asked to sign in with your new Apple ID password
You should also report an issue with the purchase to the iTunes Store support directly with the following article:
How to report an issue with your iTunes Store, App Store, Mac App Store, or iBooks Store purchase

To enhance security for your account you may want to look into Two-Step Verification to help prevent unauthorized access to your account:

  • How do I turn off the low battery alert for my wireless keyboard?

The question is in the subject line. I find it kind of annoying to have to keep closing the alert window, and am still able to use the keyboard for a while past when the low battery alerts began. I tried system preferences for both alerts and for the keyboard but am not seeing how to adjust it there. Any help is appreciated! And yes I understand changing the batteries would probably help but I am comfortable using the full life of the batteries rather than changing them out right away.

Edit: Oh I found a possible, but drastic solution: disable the whole notification centre:
    http://www.tekrevue.com/tip/how-to-completely-disable-notification-center-in-mac -os-x/
I haven't tested this long enough to know if it helps yet, but it is easy to turn on again. I am so annoyed with not being able to disable these warnings that I am more than happy to disable the whole notification centre, if that is what Apple wants us to do to sort this annoyance.

How do I turn off the lock screen feature on my IPhone4S?

You mean the passcode lock, or just the generic lock that requires no passcode?
For passcode lock, go Settings > General > Passcode Lock, enter your passcode, and then disable the feature.
For normal screen lock, go to Settings > General > Auto-Lock, and set it to 'Never'.
Now your iPhone will only screen lock when you press the 'Sleep/Wake' button.
