Lumia 930 USB connections

Hello everybody
I made some nice videos last week.  I noticed that they weren't uploaded to OneDrive when I was connected to a WiFi network.  I don't know why.  All my vids from my 920 still upload.
So, I wanted to grab the video from the phone using USB connection.  But, when I plug in my device, nothing happens at all.  The only thing I can see is that the phone is charging.  I tried this with Windows 7 and 8 so I think the issue lies not in my laptop...
Can anyone help?
Thanks!

hi mate when u plug in the phone it should start installing USB drivers. u do need the Windows Phone app from the Store (on Win 8) to take full advantage of proper sync of content.

  • Lumia 925 usb connection

    Hi,
    I'm having problems connecting my new Lumia 925 to my computer which I really want to do as I can't transfer any music to it at the moment.  When plugged in & I click on 'add phone' Nokia suite, it says that my phone isn't in USB Connectivity mode.  I've been all over this phone & I can't find this option.  I fear that all though I now have a smart phone, I'm not so smart!

    Hi,
    Nokia Lumia windows phones are not compatible with Nokia Suite.
    You can either direct use explorer in windows to drag n drop files in the phone or use the Windows Phone for desktop app.

  • Can't connect to Eduroam on my WP 8 Nokia Lumia 930

    Hi!
    So, I just got the new Lumia 930, which I am very happy with, however I can not seem to get it to connect to Eduroam at the university I work at. When I go to the page where I am suppose to 'join' or 'download' whatever I need, 'securew2', (using the phone)
    it detects that I am using a Windown Phone, but it only just gives me settings to 'configure my device'. Such as:
    SecurityType:WPA2-Enterprise
    Encryption: AES
    EAP Type: TTLS
    Inner EAP Type: PAP
    CA Certificate: UTN-USERFirst-Hardware, AddTrust etc..
    When I then go into WiFi and click on Eduroam, I try to log in with my user-credentials. I can also look through a list of certificates but none of them seem to be the right one. The only choice I really get is the EAP-method, where I change it from PEAP
    MA-CHAP v2 (which did not work) to TTLS. Then I am asked to verify that it is the right network, which it is - with the name of the university and everything - I click OK....and then there is a full stop. I only get a 'can't connect' message. Very frustrating.
    I talked to the IT people at here, and they verified my user credentials, and told me that people with Windows Phones had trouble connecting to Eduroam.
    As should be abundantly clear by now I am technologically challenged, so please help help help me fix this. If for no other reason then to silence my snickering, iPhone-loving colleagues.

    Hello,
    Did you find a solution for this issue?
    I just bought a Nokia Lumia 735 and I have the same problem. Unable to connect the Eduroam network in my laboratory. It seem that I have to put an other certificate which is not on my device (from TERENA), and I did not find how to do it.
    It is a bit disappointing to be blocked on such a new device. My previous phone, an old Iphone 3gs, was able to connect very easily...
    Please help, or I will regret my choice to switch on Windows Phone (if I add the poor choice regarding the apps on the Store...).
    Regards.

  • WinJS - Unable to switch on flashlight (using torchControl) on Lumia 930

    Hello,
    I am unable to switch on flashlight using torchControl on my lumia 930, when compiled the code gives no error and the app opens perfectly on the device. I researched a lot but was unable to find a solution to the problem... please help out.
    Thanks in advance.
    Here's the code that switches the flashlight on:
    (function () {
    "use strict";
    WinJS.UI.Pages.define("/pages/home/home.html", {
    // This function is called whenever a user navigates to this page. It
    // populates the page elements with the app's data.
    ready: function (element, options) {
    // TODO: Initialize the page here.
    var flashlight = new Flashlight();
    result.innerHTML = Flashlight.sendHTML();
    var mediaDev = new Windows.Media.Capture.MediaCapture();
    mediaDev.initializeAsync().then(function () {
    VideoDeviceController.torchControl.Enabled = true;
    ON.addEventListener("click", function () {
    Flashlight.lightON();
    result.innerHTML = Flashlight.sendHTML();
    OFF.addEventListener("click", function () {
    Flashlight.lightOFF();
    result.innerHTML = Flashlight.sendHTML();

    Hi DeadStarlin,
    Are both the computer and the phone connected to the Internet? On your computer, make sure that your web browser does not have
    Work offline enabled. Also, you cannot connect through a proxy server that redirects to a login page; for example, in a hotel or an airport.
    Is the phone turned on and the screen unlocked?
    Is your Microsoft account information correct and valid?
    If the above information still can not help, please try to restart your phone and computer to see if it works.
    Best Regards,

  • Lumia 930 slow wifi

    Recently got a Unlocked version of Lumia 930. I noticed that the wifi on my phone is slow. It take 20-30 secs to load a page, it might take a minutes or more to start playing a video on facebook. Loading Facebook take for ever and loading images on email are slow too. Even the Microsoft speed test take 30secs longer than usal time to start the test.
    When I switch to 4G(Wifi Off)  I don't see any delays in loading pages and it is blazing fast. I think it is something to do with the wifi on Lumia 930.
    Troubleshoot.
    On my router there only 4 devices connected through wifi and 2 through ethrenet. I did a similar comparision of my Samsung S3 which is faster on wifi.
    Does any one here had experienced this issue before?

    Hi, RedSun15. Welcome to Microsoft Mobile Community. Have you tried connecting your phone to another WiFi connection? Did it work? Try checking this link: FAQ - My Lumia phone has problems connecting to Wi-Fi (WLAN) networks and try the workarounds listed.

  • Does Lumia 930 support LTE in India?

    I checked the specs of Lumia 930 @ http://www.nokia.com/in-en/phones/phone/lumia930/specifications/
    It doesn't show LTE in Data Network support.
    But, LTE support is mentioned in Nokia global website @ http://www.nokia.com/global/products/phone/lumia930/specifications/
    I am confused ...
    Are there two versions (LTE and non-LTE) of Lumia 930?
    Does Indian version of Lumia 930 support LTE?

    As per the band frequency , I think handset should have LTE 2300 for working LTE connection in India and i think Lumia 930 India specifications doesnt have it.
    Currently India has very less 4G/LTE ,though its rolling out in varying parts of the country. So if possible by software update it can be enabled but for now i think NO. Also I am not sure whether this can be enabled by a software update.
    -Thanks

  • Lumia 930 amoled screen likely to burn in?

    Hello,
    I am trying to decide about buying a Nikia Lumia 930.
    What I would like to know is the wether or not the screen will show signs of burnin after extended use.
    Please let me know about your experiences and sorry for my less then perfect English.

    Welcome to our community, Thehullieman. The Nokia Lumia 930 has a built-in thermal control system to monitor and control the phone temperatures. To prevent overheating, the phone might start lowering display brightness, data connection speed, pause charging or close applications in the background. This is common for most high-end modern smartphones, and the phone will cool off again soon.

  • Is there going to be a 64Gb Lumia 930

    With the 20Mpx camera on the 930 and no SDcard expansion, this really is a needed option to compete with the iPhone. With all the music I want available offline (at lowest bitrate) plus the apps and games, I am nearly out of memory on my 32Gb 920. Please consider adding this to the range.
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    32Gb is just not enough. The Lumia flagship should have been offered with either 32Gb, 64Gb or 128Gb (like the iPhone 6 !). An SD slot would also have been a big plus (on the same face as the SIM card slot). I don't buy that the design of the Lumia 930 did not allow this intetegration.
    The reason larger memory is important for me is for music and films during flights and while sailing when there is poor or no One Drive connectivity.
    I've been using the same iPhone 4 since its launch and really want to move to the Lumia with Windows 8.1 (and Windows 10 next year). But I can not purchase the Lumia 930 because it doesn't have enough storage. I would have purchased the 128Gb version even if it cost more (it probably still would have been less expensive than the iPhone 6 with 128 Gb).
    There is so much to like about the Lumia 930 (I won't list all the features I like, except that being able to take great photos/films is high on the list as well as the fact that it feels like a quality phone in your hand). It really is a pitty that the ability to have much higher internal storage was not designed into the phone, particularly since I suspect that this would have been relatively easy to offer compared with all the other wonderful inovations of this phone.
    I remember that when I purchased an iPhone 5 for my son last year, everyone in my queue purchased the highest memory version of this iPhone.
    Will the Lumia 930 support Windows 10 next year ?

  • Nokia 3710 - PC usb connection problem

    I have the latest firmware on my 3710 and the settings on Connectivity are set USB Data Cable to PC Suite.
    When I connect the USB Cable from my PC to the phone, my PC which runs Windows 7 Home Premium does not even recognized that there has been some kind of USB connection. Is my phone faulty?

    Nokia doesn't supply USB cables with all its phones. So it may b the case. From where did u get that cable? And is it new or used? If its a Nokia Original & its not working then u can check the compatibility on the Nokia Website of ur region.

  • AiO Remote Ink Levels etc not accessible with USB connection

    My printer prints and scans just fine...except that it ran out of ink after about 15 pages. I'm trying to view the ink levels, but everything in the HP AiO Remote says it's not supported with the USB connection. There's no other way to connect my printer. I need to view the ink levels and be able to put in new ink, but I can't because the software isn't working right. Help?

    Hi @HnnhSmth95,
    I see by your post that you are unable to view the ink levels by a USB connection. I can help you with this, but I will need some more information.
    What is the full name and product number of your printer? How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
    What operating system are you using? How to Find the Windows Edition and Version on Your Computer.
    Have a nice day!
    Thank You.

  • How can I use Active Print on my Ipad and print to my usb connected HP officejet 6110 all in one

    I was previously able to use Active Print on my Ipod to print to my usb connected HP officejet 6110 all in one.  Now, however, with my Ipad version 2 I can no longer get this to work.  Can anyone help?  Thanks.

    Hi,
    HP do not provide any USB connection solution for iOS.
    As Active Print is a 3rd party application which provide this functionality, i believe you may find a better help within Active Print support as they more familier with their application requirement and functionality:

    How can i create a new usb connection (service)  on my iMac for sharing internet from my iPhone5 ( i seem have to deleted it )
    i know its not a problem whit my carrier o data plan or sharing preferences on the ipone because when i use it un my laptop it works perfectly through
    the usb and even works on the Imac through wifi and bluethood tethering but NOT through usb!!.
    the problem is that trying to make it work i deleted the "profile" usb iphone on the network prefereces panel. Now i only have 3 options: ethernet / wifi / bluetooth
    but not the usb iPhone i used to have.
    And when i try to add a new one i dont get a USB option.
    can some one help me please??
    this is how it looks (after the bluetooth PAN i used to have USB iPhone option)

    The question would be more appropriate in the Mac forums as it is not really related to the iPhone.

  • Computer not responding to iphone usb connection

    I get no response from plugging in my iphone 3g. I've tried restarting the computer and the phone many times, still nothing? All software up to date, computer, iphone and itunes.

    Double check your USB connection. That's been the problem in most cases for me.
