I was wondering if bestbuy.com will be carrying the panasonic lumix fz150 that just recently came out.  will it be available within the next month?  thanks for the help!

Hi alfqaeda,
Thanks for reaching back out to me on this. I haven't heard back from the team that could have the answer to this, and because of this post I have re-sent my email to them. I truly appreciate your patience!

  • Camera Raw update for Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000

    Hi.
I have Elements 11 and need to update it to open .raw files shot with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ1000. I can't find the link where I can download the camera raw update.
    Can you please help me?
    Thanks.

    Hi,
The FZ1000 requires camera raw 8.6 which is NOT compatible with PSE 11.
You will need to upgrade to PSE 13 or use the DNG converter.

  • What version of LR supports Lumix DMC LX7 RAW files? do I need to install Camera RAW plug-in?

What version of LR supports Lumix DMC LX7 RAW files? do I need to install Camera RAW plug-in?

The Camera Raw plugin is for Photoshop and Photoshop Elements.
The functionality provided by Camera Raw is already built in to Lightroom.
The Panasonic Lumix DMC-LX7 was first supported in Lightroom 4.2 so Lightroom 5 will be fine.

  • Lumix DMC - FZ 200 raw support lacking. Is there a work around to access jpeg images

    I'm Using Aperture 2.1.4.
I Shot RAW + JPEG on a recent trip using my new Lumix DMC - FZ 200 on a 64 gb sdxc card which seems supported by OSX 10.6.8 - import seemed to be working ok.
Aperture shows only thumbnail with "Unsupported image format".
Files in metadata show as .rw2 - is there a way to see the jpeg version?
How can one request Apple to support this camera?  Is there a way to work about this while Apple gets round to providing upate to include the FZ 200 ?

When I use Adobe DNG Convertrer for Lumix FZ28 raw files, only half of them can be read by Aperture.
If you look at the list of supported raw formats: http://www.apple.com/aperture/specs/raw.html
there is a footnote for dng:
Aperture works with most DNG files generated from cameras that support this format and with DNG files generated by the Adobe DNG Converter with the “Convert to Linear Image” option turned off.
That means that I now have to upgrade to A3. I'm a bit nervous and will have to go through my several lobraries and rebuild them and make sure I have back ups of A2 as well as the libraries before I start.
rIght, that precaution is the way to do it - back up everything, and rebuild and test the libraries, while you still have Aperture 2. And if you are using plug-ins upgrade them to the most recent versions.
To be able to use the most recent Aperture 3 update you will have to update your MacOS X as well. Check, if all applications that you need can run on MacOS X 10.8.2; PowerPC applications are no longer supported.

  • IPhoto '09 doesn't recognize my Lumix DMC-ZS3

iPhoto '09 doesn't recognize my new camera, a Lumix DMC-ZS3. It pops up on iPhoto as "NO NAME". I am able to import photos from it without a problem, although I have not done any videos yet, so I'm hoping this won't be an issue.
Anyone else having a similar experience with their Lumix?
Any way to get rid of "NO NAME" and get iPhoto to recognize the camera model?
Any advice/tips about using this camera with iPhoto?
    Thanks.

I am having the same problem with my new Panasonic ZS3. I am able to import pictures through iPhoto, but when I open iMovie ('09) and sync up the camera a dialogue box pops us saying "Looking for Cameras and Devices" and below it says Panasonic DMC-ZS3 (seemingly recognizing the camera). This runs for about 30 seconds and then it disappears (apparently never fully recognizing the camera). It never pulls up a screen with the videos on the camera available to be downloaded. After this dialogue box runs, I have tried clicking on the camera button on the toolbar and it says "No camera connected-to import video please select a camera". The Lumix has the option of shooting HD video in either AVCHD or Motion JPEG. I shot several videos in the AVCHD (which I thought iMovie would support) but they are not coming up! I am going crazy trying to figure this out. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks

  • When is LR5 going to add support for the Lumix DMC-LX100?

Is there a date for the release of LR support for the Lumix DMC-LX100?

Anyone who knows is not allowed to say. And anyone who gives you a date doesn't know. Adobe doesn't make announcements about new versions in advance.

  • Will the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 work with my Intel Core 2 MBP?

Will the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ10 work with my Intel Core 2 MacBook Pro and/or will I have to upgrade OSX & iLife (£122GBP).  Have seen that AVCHDLite is not directly compatible with Mac, but the articles are mostly 2 yrs old the panasonic website proudly displays the iPhoto and iMovie compatible icons http://panasonic.net/avc/lumix/compact/zs7_tz10/.  Have chosen this as a quality compact camera with wide angle lens, powerful optical zoom & a marine housing.

AVCHD is not compatible with iPhoto but is with iMovie - not sure about AVCHDLite

  • Panasonic lumix dmc-fz28?

will panasonic lumix dmc-fz28 raw file (.rw2) processing be added to acr anytime soon?

You might want to read through this thread:
Richard Earney, "LR2 Does Not Support .rw2 RAW File" #1, 12 Aug 2008 9:41 pm
Apparently Adobe and Panasonic are trying to work through some "issues".
ACR updates generally come out quarterly so you can always hope.
Also just to let you know, Adobe team members and frequent posters in this forum can get a little grumpy with people who ask about when their camera will be supported in ACR. From the customer side it is a little hard to understand the attitude but from their side I guess it is a little like the kids in the backseat asking "are we there yet" for the 50th time. Just to prepare you a bit.

  • Opening RAW files from Lumix DMC FZ1000

Hi Everyone, I've just bought a Lumix DMC FZ1000 bridge camera as well as PSE 12 in the hope that I could continue to use PSE to process my RAW files. When I try to open the .RW2 files though I get the message that the format isn't supported. Does anyone know if this is in the pipeline, or will I have to use the somewhat cumbersome proprietary software from Panasonic?
    Thanks
    Mike

Which operating system are you using?
Unfortunately, because that camera is brand new, none of the adobe camera raw plugins for pse 12 support that camera, as of yet.
In the meantime you could use the 8.6 DNG Converter to convert those files to dng copies which pse 12 should then open.
Download Adobe Photoshop Camera Raw 8.6 Beta - Adobe Labs
    You want the

  • How can i use Nikon D 7100 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1 with Photoshop CS 5 Camera Raw?

How can i use Nikon D 7100 and Panasonic Lumix DMC-LF1 with Photoshop CS 5 Camera Raw?

The one needs 7.4 (or better), the other 8.1, so Photoshop CS5 with ACR6 is not up to the task.
The free DNG Converter could be used to convert the RAW images to DNG which your version of ACR should be able to process.

  • HT4757 Is there ever going to be RAW compatibility with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 added to Aperture 3?

Is there ever going to be RAW compatibility with the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 added to Aperture 3?
It's a good camera which I think has been overlooked in this area?
    Any advice you good people?

    Hello,
I don't know when but you can send a message to Apple so they can add that in a next update (not 100% sure but you can try).
Go here : http://www.apple.com/feedback/aperture.html and in the Feedback Type select : Harware compatibility.

  • Missing Panasonic Lumix DMC-GF1 is a bug and you must help! Workaround!

I've found out that Apple does a simple string check inside the RAW files and doesn't support the Lumix DMC-GF1, because it simply doesn't check for the name.
If you open a RAW file from the DMC-GF1 you will immediately see the text
    PanasonicDMC-GF1
close to the start of the file.
If you change that to PanasonicDMC-GF1 Aperture 3 will then accept the RAW file and open it without a flaw. You can use the file it without a problem. But be aware: It doesn't work if you change it to PanasonicDMC-G1, though. I think that's because of the length of the text.
Please go to the feedback page of Aperture 3 and send this as a BUG REPORT.
I did this a few minutes ago and urge you to do the same. The more reports Apple gets the faster they will do something about this and it's easy for them to solve this problem.

  • Profiles Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200

Can anyone post links to ACR camera profiles for the Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ200 and/or a profile for its lens: Leica DC Vario-ELMARIT 1:2.8/4.5-108 ASPH

Read the slightly newer topic by Pat Gilmour "Lumix DMC-LX1 RAW......" and you can see it is feasible, if not convenient. Note that for the LX2 you have to follow the instructions for the LX1 but write LX2 instead. It works a beauty for me

  • Does Aperture support RAW files from a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ27 camera?

Please can anyone let me know whether Aperture supports RAW files from a Panasonic LUMIX DMC-FZ27 camera? The Apple Aperture site lists support for DMC-F35 and other later cameras but does not allow a search for others.
    Many thanks.
    John

Only the cameras on this list are supported:  Apple - Aperture - Technical Specifications - RAW Support
    Th FZ27 is not.
For my Panasonic Lumix DMC-FZ28 I am using Adobe's free DNG Coverter to convert the RAW files to DNG. It does not always work, but for most of the RW2 files I can work in Aperture this way. The stubborn files I convert to TIFF.
