Lumonics HD-300 of Spectra-Physics PDL-3 driver

Hello all:
I am not sure if this is the correct forum, but
it's worth a shot...
Does anyone know if there exists anywhere a
Labview VI driver for
either:
a) Lumonics HD-300 dye laser
b) Spectra-Physics PDL-3 dye laser
Both VI's would essentially be stepper motor
drivers. The Lumonics is
run from a DIO port and the PDL-3 is currently run
from a serial port,
but could be easily configured to run on a DIO
port as well. The ideal
solution would be instrument-specific VI's but
related VI's may work or
could be quasi-easily modified for the intended
purpose. Perhaps there
exists a generic stepper motor driver that someone
could point me
toward? Any help (especially code) would be
greatly appreciated.
Tha
nks in advance for any help.

Before you buy.

Your claims of "Better Performance. Better Audio. Better Xeleration " is offputting for those of us who know nothing exists in the drivers or packages to actually do this. Despsite this, thank you, you are currently the only compiler supporting Titanium HD and I would say you this is an improvment over the vanilla packages from Creative. I appreciate the time and effort that went into this.

  • Accessing physical floppy disk drive from Windows 8.1 host machine to Windows XP SP3 hyper-v?

    Hi there!
Could someone help up me? I just wanted to ask if it's possible for a hyper-v to access a physical "floppy diskette" drive?
Here's my setup: I have a Windows 8.1 as my host and Windows XP SP3 as the virtual machine. I would need to access the contents of the physical floppy diskette drive from the Windows XP SP3 vm. This is needed, because, currently our customer is still using
floppy disk drives, to most of their in-house applications. I tried to open Drive A: inside Windows XP SP3 VM while the physical diskette from the Windows 8.1 is inserted. But then again, it cannot directly access the contents. Also, I tried to use "virtual
floppy drives" and copy the files from the diskette. But for some reason, their applications do not support it. I did check device manager in Windows XP SP3 vm, but i cannot see the "Universal Serial Bus Controllers" option inside the VM.
    Please help!!! Thank you!
    All the best,
    MS CAMPer

HI Carey, thanks for this, But this is under System Center Virtual Machine Manager. I already saw this a while ago.
Anyway, is there a way for Windows XP VM to access a physical floppy diskette drives inserted to Windows 8.1 host machine? I dont intend to use Virtual floppy disks. Only Physical ones.
Please please. Need your help guys! :( Thank you!

  • Verify physical hard disk drive health MCS 7825-H3 that installed CUCM inside it

    Hi Everyone,
I have Cisco MCS 7825-3 that installed CUCM ver 6.1.1 inside it. A few days ago the system was crashed and have been recovered. And the symtomp why the system crashed is because corrupted hard disk drive. Now the system is running well.
I want to verify the health status of hard disk drive MCS 7825. The logical drive is RAID 1 with 2 chunks (channel 0,1 and channel 0,2). So that i did the test to shut down the cucm and unmount on of the physical hard disk drive. After that i power on the server and running the system with just 1 hard disk drive (example just channel 0,1 and after verify channel i do the same task with channel 0,2). With just 1 hard disk drive if i show hardware in cucm cli , it showed that status of logical drive is degraded. But the system can run well (IP Phone registered and can do pbx features). And after do verify test with 1 hard disk drive, i mount the physical hard disk drive again so that the system running with all of hard disk drive mounted (2 chunks).
At first it showed in cucm cli that status of logical drive is degraded, but with current operation rebuild (indicated RAID 1 is rebuild again by the system). After up to 1 hour the process finished and the status of logical drive is optimal again.
The question i wanna ask, is there any method to know if the health of physical hard disk drive of MCS good or not beside the task i have done ?
Maybe we can show in the BIOS or cucm cli because i didnt find diagnose of physical drive in cucm cli but it can diagnose status of RAID, hard disk space and list file in hard disk drive.
    Thanks for your help.

  • C655: Physically replaced hard drive, NOW WHAT? Don't know the very next step.

Start of History: Received HDD failure message 2 weeks ago.  Researched on here and discovered I would have to replace drive.  Backed up computer with disks and it took 5 to get everything backed up and also made a "Repair disk Windows 7-64 bit".  Purchased new drive and Upgraded memory (2ea X 4s=8) while I was in there.  So, this morning I physically installed my new hard drive and memory.  When I turned on the laptop, it asked for a boot disk.  Couldn't remember if that was on the Repair disk, so I removed new hard drive, installed old drive and looked at Repair disk.  It showed three boot "something" files.  I reinstalled new drive and used the Repair disk to start computer.  It did some "stuff" and then a pop up to choose "Toshiba Recovery Wizard" or "system recovery options".  I have absolutely no clue which to use.  Tried the SRO and it required me to select and search for "something" that lead me to believe it was just to repair the old drive.  So, I cancelled and went back to the TRW.  That lead to something asking me to install disks.  The only disks I have are the back ups, so I tried them, but it read the 1st disk in about 3 seconds, then ejected it and asked me to "set the 1st disk".  Don't even know what that means.  "Set"?  Whatever the case, I don't think I have the correct disks made from the old drive.  End of History.
Currently have the old failing hard drive back in laptop till I get some answers. Hopefully before this thing dies for good. I purchased the laptop new and have the disks somewhere at home in Texas.  I am on the air force base in Charleston and don't have immediate access to those disks and if I were home, it would take me a while to locate them.  So let's assume they aren't availabe at this point.  Here is what I need to know.  Are there other disks that I need to create from my laptop?  Which option should I be using TRWizard or SROptions?  If TRWizard, what disks is it asking me to install?  If someone is able and willing to educate me on each step regarding the software prior to removal of the hard drive and then the same baby steps at turning on the computer for the first time after physically installing new drive, that would be helpful.  Constructive, "dumbed down", with crayola photos etc.  I need step by step everything.  Standing by and waiting for help...

  • How to Identify Physical External Hard Drives that Show in Finder?

I have a number of firewire hard drives hooked up to my Mac Pro. The 800s are daisy chained together, as are the 400s. I have gone into System Profiler to see if their serial numbers show, but they don't. Is there a simple way of selecting one of the hard drives in the finder and seeing some clue or indicator of which hard drive it is in the stack of physical hard drives? Or, is it necessary to hook just one up at a time to see which it is in the finder? Is there some software that lets you identify a physical hard drive as a particular one in the finder?
    Thanks.

"... and add FW800 controller" was in there for you, for now.
I consider that the best answer to daisy-chaining along with the problems that arise such as yours and others trying to do the same.

  • 300 gig of music on external drive how do I access from Itunes

I bought a new 500 gig external drive and it came loaded with 300 gigs of music. It was supposedly installed with itunes, but I cannot access it when I install itunes on my machine. How to open an alternate iTunes Library file link, but it does not recognize the files. Am I going to have to create another folder on my external drive and then import the music into it a bit at a time (since I don't have enough room to do it all at once), or is ther a way to just index what I have into iTunes?
    Thanks
    Doug

I did an add file to library with the entire music library and after all day of processing it is now showing up and did not duplicate the setup. I had changed the save location to the music folder under preferances first. Thanks for the help. I guess it is time to figure out playlists next. Then go buy the iPod.

  • I am waiting for a new iMac with two drives: SSD   conventional hard drive. How can I transfer only a certain number of applications to the SSD and the rest to the physical hard disk drive?

I am expecting a new iMac (i7 with SSD). How can I transfer only certain applications along with the system, library etc. to this limited (space) HD and other applications to the conventional disk HD in order to save space on the SSD?

I have the same scenario, using an SSD for my start-up drive. I have copied my Applications folder to a mechanical hard drive and created symbolic link to it. The symbolic link resides on the SSD and works properly.
That may not be the best solution.  Many updaters expect apps, especially Apple apps, to be in the  /Applications folder on the OSX drive;  if there are updates, the apps may not be found, thus may not be updated.  I don't know if the installers/updaters will follow a symbolic link or not.
DItto some apps, especially Adobe apps, won't even work if they're anywhere else.  Again, I don't know if they'll follow a symbolic link, either.

  • DVD physically stuck in drive

    Hi,
I've got a problem with my SuperDrive: the DVD I've inserted won't get out of the drive. It seems like the DVD got off the mount in a way it's not supposed to inside the optical drive. I also do not want to force the optical drive by pressing the eject button too many times.
Should I go to a store to fix the problem or is there a way I can do it myself? Thanks.

many thanks guys, but luckily the problem solved itself out without me intervening. The DVD wasn't entirely inside the drive, so I could use my nails to get it out.
Thanks for the suggestions though, but I'm glad I didn't have to bring it to a shop to fix the problem.

  • I want to physically move my drive and have TM seemlessly keep backing up

    Hi,
I just replaced my Belkin router with an Apple Extreme Base Station. Now I can connect my Time Machine backup drive to the Base Station and not have to take it around to my individual computers and back them up manually anymore. I pointed my Time Machine to the new location of it's drive but when it tries to back up to it, it doesn't realize those files have already been backed up. So it wants to back up "everything" again instead of anything which has changed since the old backup. Well, first of all, I don't have enough room for two complete backups in the folder. And second of all, I would like to do this right and have Time Machine adding to the old data like it should. Is there anything I can do? Otherwise I fear I'll have to erase all the old data and just start fresh backups.
    thanks

Sounds good, but isn't. I hate to have to tell you this, but backing-up that way is "iffy" and +*not supported by Apple.+* See: [Using Time Machine with an Airport Extreme Air Disk|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/Airport.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum).
There may be an alternative, though, if any of your Macs are desktops. Connect the drive to it, and back it up locally; then back up the others to the same drive over your network, via sharing. See #22 in [Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions|http://web.me.com/pondini/Time_Machine/FAQ.html] (or use the link in *User Tips* at the top of this forum), for setup instructions.
I pointed my Time Machine to the new location of it's drive but when it tries to back up to it, it doesn't realize those files have already been backed up.
Correct. Time Machine stores backups differently when they're done over a network, and you can't switch back and forth. See the blue box in #17 of the FAQ.
That will also apply if you back up to a shared drive over your network. So your best bet will be to erase the disk, partition it so the Mac it's connected to directly has it's own exclusive space, and either let the ones being backed-up over the network share a single partition, or make one for each Mac.

  • Physically-compatible DVD drives

    Hi,
I'm a new owner of a 2010 Mac Pro. My intention is to add a second DVD drive for use with a CD ripper to copy all my CDs to iTunes. However, I added a Sony DVD-ROM 1615S from an old PC, but even after removing the tray's frontage (that section that can be removed from the front of the actual tray, not the bezel) to reduce the height, I found it would not pass through the Mac Pro's opening. So, how can I make sure I'm buying a drive whose tray can be modified to fit through a Mac Pro's slots? Please don't tell me it's just hit and miss
    Many thanks,
    SiR G.

Hmm, I have to admit that being given the option of only one drive in the UK is not exactly ideal - though I appreciate the responses!
Let me expand: I'm looking for a second drive to use for CD ripping, and it has to meet the following specifications:
    Accurate Stream capable
    Non-caching
Reliable and documented sample offset values
    C2 Error Correction
The DAE Drive Features Database lists 168 such drives. The links provided offer just three drives: two are without model numbers so their features cannot be determined, and the third (the Pioneer) is, as yet, unlisted on the DAE.
sigh I can't help but feel disappointed by Apple, despite many years of loyal consumerism.
Anyway, thanks again for the responses. But I'm going to to have to hold out for something better. Anyone?

  • Read data using 2 diff connection pool for same DB folder in physical layer

    Hi All,
i am using two connection pool which have different dsn connection information (both are directed to different database name or database server)..
so if i view the data of any table, a prompt will come asking for the connection pool, so how do i automize it....?
how do i set the different connection pool for different tables?
please let me know if u need further informtaion to understand my problem..
    thnx...

    thnx Stijn..
    yupe that i know...
actually i have total of around 300 tables in physical layer (in both the schemas..) , around 12 fact and 100 dimension tables in bmm and same in the presentation layer...
so i think u can guess how many joins and other stuff, i have made in my bmm layer..
if now i will start modifying all this it will take lot of time...
i am just wondering that there is no alternative for this...
as when i check my data from the physical layer then a prompt ask for the connection pool (i have already made two connection pool..) so there could be some alternative way to automize the default connection pool setting for the tables/schemas folders in case if more than one connection pool exits under the same database in the physical layer...
    isn't it?
    thnx again..

  • Help.. Please..Replacing a Spectre 15t hard drive with an ssd

I posed this question a couple of days ago but did not make myself clear enough.  I’ll try again…
I purchased a Spectre 15xt touchsmart just before Christmas. I ordered the 128 gig ssd drive upgrade because no larger ssd drive was available and the salesman assured me I could upgrade to a larger drive later. As it turns out, the upgrade to the ssd drive replaced the 32 gig boot ssd  with a larger 128 ssd and just eliminated the hard drive.
    I have two questions.
If I had purchased the Spectre with the hard drive, instead of chosing the ssd upgrade option, could I have replaced the hard drive with a standard sized ssd drive?  If so, I can send the laptop I have back and get one with a hard drive and replace the hard drive with a standard ssd drive (I only have a limited time to do this). I’ve called tech support a few times and get varying answers.
If the only way to increase drive space is by increasing the size of the msata ssd, can I use any brand of msata drive. It comes with a Samsung MAMPC128HBFU. Samsung also makes a 256 gig (MZMPC256HBGJ). Will the larger Samsung drive work? Can I replace it with another brand, say a Crucial m4 256GB ssd (CT256M4SSD3?

I'm assuming if the fault is found with the new SSD, that's not covered?
Yes that is correct.  Any issues with a 3rd party SSD need to be addressed with the manfacturer of the SSD.
What about if replacing the HDD, with the SSD, is responsible for another fault?
I'm sorry, I don't understand the wording of this question.  Try asking the question in your native languge, and I will see if I can use a translation program to help me better understand what you are asking

  • Physical Host Deployment on VMM 2012 R2

    Hi,
We recently deployed two physical servers using VMM 2012 R2's bare metal deployment.
We used a Physical Computer Profile and a sysprep'd image which was stored in VMM's Library.
Once the servers booted up we realized that VMM had created a VHDX file on the server's physical HDD (E:, 500GB size).
This VHDX was mounted as C: and has a total capacity of 40GB!
My question is, how can I expand this VHDX's capacity whilst the server is running?
As this is a physical server I can't really shut it down and expand the drive without physically removing the drive from the server and attaching it to another computer.
When I try to expand the VHDX using powershell's "Resize-VHD" I get the below error:
    Command Used: resize-vhd -Path E:\Win2012R2_disk_1.vhdx -SizeBytes 100GB
resize-vhd : Failed to resize the virtual disk.
The system failed to resize 'E:\Win2012R2_disk_1.vhdx': The process cannot access the file because it is being used by
    another process. (0x80070020).
Is there any other way I can achieve this?
    Thank you
    Panicos

You won't be able to expand that VHDX file as is, you'll need to take the VHDX offline to expand it but you won't be able to do that easily.
The size of the VHDX comes from the original sysprep'd image. You'll need to change that. Once you've done that you can then redeploy the host using VMM.
Why do you need to change it? Are the hosts clustered? If so then VMs will be a CSV so there's no need to worry. Whilst 40GB isn't ideal it shouldn't cause an issue.
If they're not clustered is there a RAID controller on the server? If so you might want to change the LUN layout to have say 150GB LUN and a 350GB LUN for VMs.
