Luna 8600 camera prob

hi all i have a problem dont knw wht it is when i try to open my camera on my phone it stuck and give me a msg operation failed and say camera on stand by .. now i dnt knw wht is this problem is hardware prb or software please need help.

Hello, I am new to this forum but am hoping someone can help me. I have just bought a 6 month old handset as a replacement for my own 10 month old handset which met with a rather unfortunate accident. I never had any probs with my own phone but this new one says camera on standby whenever you try & use the camera and nothing I do gets rid of this. From what I have since read on the net this sounds like a common problem and I was wondering if anyone actually has a fix it that works please.

It's a phone problem, a hardware, but unfortunelly, a general one. Here, in our shop, all 6500 slide have this problem, and lots of clients camed back with this complain..

Firewire and DV camera prob... not sure why

I have been using iMovie 4.x and FCE 2.0 for years to capture DV, and I have always always always connected the camera via firewire thru a firewire hub and have never had any problems... until now.
When launching iMovie or FCE and then connecting the camera, it detects the camera and I can control it (at first) with the program interface, but it will not capture, and it will not show the video supposedly being captured on the screen--I get a blank blue or black screen. If I try to stop the capture or the camera thru the iMovie/FCE interface, I get the spinning rainbow disk of death and I have to give the force quit command about 25 times or just turn the computer's power off because of the total system freeze.
Back in January I added an external LaCie 350GB firewire HD, and am using it to store my captured video, but that worked just fine in that configuration for months, and until last week, didn't cause any problems--I could still connect the camera via the hub with no problems or conflicts. I've unplugged everything and replugged everything in a different port configuration and that does nothing, makes no difference, and the same problems persist. The only time I can get the camera to be recognized and properly controlled is if I plug it directly into the computer and bypass the hub. It works, but I've never had to do that before. I thought it was a faulty hub, but my iPod connected thru the hub just fine, just like it always has, and in every firewire port on the hub so it isn't the hub.
I've read that there may have been some issues with Quicktime 7.1.1, a very recent upgrade, and I did a downgrade to 7.0.4 and then to 7.0.1 with Pacifist, but that didn't help either--the problem remained with both older versions of Quicktime.
I'm going to try resetting the PMU next, but I'm looking for other suggestions or to see if someone else has had a similar issue. Any help or suggestions would be most appreciated.

Even the voodoo GarageBand fix didn't work--a major bummer.
I've done other things too: cleared my user and system caches; deleted all the log files; ran disk repair permissions and UNIX scheduled maintenance; trashed iMovie preferences; unplugged the whole computer from everything, including power, and left it like that overnight, reconnected and restarted; booted to open firmware and reset the NVRAM; and tried every possible configuration of firewire devices with and without the hub. The only constant is that same 'ol can't-control-or-capture-from-my-camera-thru-the-hub problem.
I've been holding out on the PMU reset, but unless there are any other ways that I may want to approach the problem, that's what's coming next.

Well, since it can't be a mounting error, it has to either be a USB cable issue, or a driver issue;
First, I know that evreyone always says this, but check the camera manufacturer's website for new drivers
Second, try another USB port or cable. Often times the port is faulty; and that's beyond my ability to fix. However, most likely the other port works. Also, if you have another USB device, test the port with that. If changing ports doesn't work; try another cable.
Third, if you or someone else you know has another mac, try connecting to it.
Fourth, take it to apple or the camera manufacturer.
Some important notes:
I'm sorry if this sounds insulting, but I've seen people forget to turn the camera on. Make sure it is.
Also, try removing and reinserting the battery or memory card of the camera

Hi...im a new user to the mac so im not sure how you call the webcam...but i am having problems with it...how do you open the webcam if ill be using yahoo messenger or just using it just to record short videos... Thank you...

Open PhotoBooth.
Select the Film/Video icon.
Press the Red Button.
Or Open iMovie.
Select Input from camera in iMovie 08 or move the camera/Scissor icon/button to camera in iMovie 6 and record.
Both these methods will select the Internal cam and start it up or take input from an external cam that is on.
Same with Yahoo although this does moving pics with no sound

Few probs after upgrading to vista

Greetings to all. I have Lenovo 3000 N100 notebook (07684ka). It came shipped with 512 mb ram. I upgraded it to 1.5 gb. Hence it is completely vista compatible.
#1: (weird prob): When i shutdown my computer it displayes shutting down for about 5-10 seconds. Then screen fades out but power light remains on and hard disk is used occasonally. After about 10 more seconds then all lights go off. Is it normal? I have updated the bios too.
#2: (Camera prob): I installed the driver from lenovo site of my integerated camera.In device manager it shouws integerated camera "under imaging" is installed correctly. But in control panel "scanners or camera" no camera is listed. I connot find a way to turn it on.

I also have a 3000 N100, so let me see if I can help.
1) Yes, this is normal. The screen turns off before the system shuts all the way down.
2) I got the driver for the camera from Sonix's website. Go to http://www.sonix.com.tw/sonix/home.do, Support (Downloads), Family: Video/Image Controllers, Series: PC-CAM Controllers, Product: SN9C201. Then check Drivers, and click Submit. You will see a couple options. Find the latest version for Vista, and download that. It should work.

Cant export back to tape

Hi,
I use iMovie since 3 years ago, and so far no prob, but since yesterday this prob is bugging me. I have FCP4 installed in the same drive (which later upgraded to 4.5HD then FCP5)and i know the issue regarding export to tape failure and i have always followed the same procedure everytime i wanted to export to tape frm iMovie (to drag out the 2 Qtime FCP plugins onto desktop) and it worked, until yesterdau.
I need to move this huge iMovie file (almost 2 hours, but its not a prob, i have previously did more than 3 hours project in iMovie without a glitch) to tape urgently, and im stuck with this 'Communicating with camera prob.." everytime i tried.
I have also deleted my FCP and all programs that came with it, but still the prob wont go.
Help Me!! I cant seem to find the answer anywhere, and if upgrading to newwer iMovie is the solution, im not buying bcos i love iMovie4, with all my great plugins in hand.

Read/Write Permissions question for Nokia 6120 (Sy...

Hi All,
Recently got my 6120 on Three. Very pleased with it and doing more than I ever imagined with a mobile phone!
Quick question though. For applications that I have downloaded and am using, currently the phone asks for permission every time it exchanges/receives data. (This includes the applications consilient Push and GCalSync).
Any ideas how I can solve this? Can't see an 'always yes' option - but not sure where to look?

Read/Write Permissions for FAT32 SD card.

Hi all, after a lot of searching in similar threads I have found no answers to my question.
I have a MobileLite usb drive that takes various sizes of SD cards. I have inserted into it a 256MB regular sized SD card (that which you would find in cameras). I plugged it in to add a file to a folder I had labeled "apps" and the file was clicked and dragged into the folder on the SD card no problem. I disconnected it (safely) and then reconnected it to add another file. Now it is saying that the SD card is read only.
1) The switch on the SD card is NOT set to lock so I know thats not the problem.
2) I backed up all the files onto my desktop, and then went into Disk Utility to see if I could reformat it, but it wont let me.
3) Under "get info" there are no options to change the read/write permissions.
It is to my understanding that FAT32 should be native for both PC and MAC so I dont know whats going on here. Further more, its troubling me that I was able to write onto the SD card, and after unplugging and plugging back in, I now only have read access.
Any takes to this problem? Thanks!

N95-1 turns off when press any key

I was using normally the phone when suddenly it turned off, I thought was the battery but it's go, I tried other battery with the same result. I turn on the phone, and when I press any key it turns off. If the keyboard keeps locked the displays says yeah unlock the keys, but when i unlocked and press any button it's turns off, I made the hard reset trick, but this couldn't solve the problem, help me please

I have the exact same problem with my Nokia Luna 8600, turns on normally, but as soon as I press any key, it turns off and changing battery nor formatting didnt help.
Any ideas?

Z1 camera quality prob

i got xperia z1 yesterday but i think its cmera is having some problem, firstly i thought update will remove the prob "as sony said about its update" but it did nothing with my cam...prob is still there, ph cam is very noisy ,pics are blurry out of focus...and poor quality, and ph display is also not bright, its like dull....am having xperia ion too, ion brightness colors and display is far batter then my new z1, dont knw why...my ions 12 mp camera clicks wonderfull pics....am just loving it...as i thought to improve and upgrade my camera so i baught z1..but am totaly dissapointed, pls make som update soon to remove this prob...
first pic is clicked with my xperia z1 and second pic is clicked with my xperia ion...big difference...

also make sure that you have the latest software as it has improved the camera, it seems that you had a similar issue with your ion

Not sure what you want - you shoot the photo by doing a sweep and the camera makes a static JPEG that is long (panaromic) and you import it - on the camera and in iPhoto is is a panaromic photo

hello, i've just buoght a new 8600 luna and when i wanted charge the phone it appared: Charger not supported. how is it possible?? please help me if you can!!

The first thing to try is to switch the phone off, pull the battery out, wait for 10 minutes or so and then reassemble.
If that doesn't work then I think you'll need to take the phone to your nearest Nokia Care Point for it to be reset (you can't do that yourself on a S40 phone such as the 8600 Luna).
