LUT Loader or adobe gamma realted software of startup program in CS3? serious problem here with cali

Hi!.
I have serious problems with calibration here.
White turns to maroon while going gray.
Something is going on very bad.
I have installed PS3. I´m told to remove any LUT loader or whatever photoshop installs on the system in order to leave my own profiles load.
I don´t find any kind of loader, and i´m quite worried about what´s going on with the color here.
I use equipment for photographer: 10bit NEC screen (multisync LCD3080UX+) and Matrox Parhelia 128MB graphic card. The software is Monaco Optix with BasicColor together, using a MonacoOptix XR calibration hardware.
I do everything correctly, and this goes wrong. Can you please help me or redirect me somewhere better?.
Thanks a lot. I need serious help here. Please, answer only if you know what are you talking about.

The profile is corrupt, doesn't matter which system it is a very old problem that has shown up in quite a while. Find in which directory the monitor profile is located trash it so that you do not overwrite it when making a new one and then make the new one.
Or go Nck's way and continue to have the problem.
Good luck.
Oh, yes thank you Ramón, don't take that serious who ever told him such a thing is not well inform and has greatly exaggerated the problem.
Having and amusing symptom of sometimes repeating what you said three minutes ago without really recalling ever saying it is not a not exactly a symptom one would have from a severe head injury. Having an unnoticeable paralysis to one side of the face that keeps improving over time is also not a symptom of a severe head injury telling some one that if you survive the injury then there is not much affect it has on your life is probably a misunderstanding by someone who is a bit unrealistic about many things in life.
And of course Nick is just showing the world exactly how big he is and make no misunderstandings about this we have a pretty good idea how big you are, my sympathies.

  • How to disable Adobe Gamma in Windows 7?

I have a new PC running Windows 7 and a new monitor. I want to color-calibrate the monitor using Spyder3, as I've done in the past with Windows XP. I cannot, however, locate Adobe Gamma in the msconfig "Startup" folder on Windows 7 to de-activate it. Has it been eliminated? Can I run the calibration program without taking this step? Many thanks in advance.

I'm loading CS5 (upgraded from CS3). It's the computer OS that I've had to remove it from before - and it doesn't appear in the Startup folder, unlike in Windows XP's system. (Or in the Control Panel, although there is a "Color Management" folder that lists color profiles I've downloaded from Epson when I downloaded my printer drivers for Windows 7).
So I guess Windows 7 doesn't include it, and I am free to do my calibration. Adobe's tech support phone line is closed for the weekend so I am turning to you forum experts. There must be someone out there who has encountered this in setting up a new computer system and loading PS onto it. Thanks for the input from both you and John.

  • Adobe Gamma, where is it?

I'm using a PC with Vista.
The following doesn't seem to be true in my case: The Photoshop installer installs Adobe Gamma control panel (Adobe Gamma.cpl) into the Windows/System folder (Windows Me and 98) or the Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Calibration (Windows XP and 2000), and it installs the Adobe Gamma loader application (Adobe Gamma Loader.exe) into the Program Files/Common Files/Adobe/Calibration folder. In addition, it installs a shortcut to the Adobe Gamma Loader application in the Windows/Start Menu/Programs/Startup folder (Windows Me and 98) or the Documents and Settings/All Users/Start Menu/Programs/Setup (Windows XP and 2000). As a result, the Adobe Gamma loader application appears in the Start > Programs > Startup menu and starts automatically during Windows startup.
While loading Adobe Gamma.cpl during Windows startup, the Adobe Gamma Loader application applies settings in the Adobe Gamma.cpl file to the system and applies calibration settings you saved for your monitor at the system level.

you don't say what version of photoshop. it's not included with cs3 anymore.

  • Anyone as frustrated as i am...just bought a brand new 13" powerbook to find that I can't load my adobe creative suite 2.3 software! i need solutions that do not involve spending more $$$$ one the newest version.

Is anyone  as frustrated as i am...just bought a brand new 13" powerbook to find  that I can't load my adobe creative suite 2.3 software using the lion os! I need solutions  that do not involve spending more $$$$ one the newest CS version. After googling problem, I find I am not the only one. Apple told me Creative Suite 3 would work, but others said no.  Version 5.5 seems to be most reliable. Any feedback would be greatly appreciated.

No, you're not the only person who failed to do any homework before making your purchase. You will have to upgrade your Adobe software at the very least. Before you post another complaint about what doesn't run see

Hi there, people. I back again.
First, thanks a lot for your support here.
Second, i'm a girl, that will end up with the confusion.
The last thing is that i'm spanish so errors can't be avoided completely. I'm sorry.
Ok. let's start. I've read all the posts. There is, of course, no adobe gamma or any adobe software on the startup. I know what i'm saying, my computer level is not so bad, i must tell.
To "Lawrence", i don't get what do you mean with "defective CD or D/L". You mean what i installed is corrupted or has any problems?.
I installed it several times, and various versions. ANd i must tell it worked two years ago!.
Well. I know it's a quite difficult problem:
i use a 10bit screen from NEC as i said.
I use a Matrox Parhelia 128MB graphics card, specially built for photographers, as i investigated.
The problem came with my calibration hardware: Monaco Optix xr. It comes with a software called Monaco Optix too.
But 10bit screens were new at that time, 2 or 3 years ago, so we contacted with the germans to receive BasicColor software, adaptation for Monaco to use 10bit screens.
That's all. They told us to install firstly Monaco (don't ask me why!) and then BColor (3.1).
After that, Naviset, that intalls the controllers to use the digital controls of the screen when i calibrate.
So that's all. But it doesn't work... i wonder whos fault.
I think something is changing the profile. I have an idea: i could try to use the same profile with other system, so i can see if it works but the screen turns it bad, or whatever.
Other trial would be using another calibration HW.
Well. I wonder why i had to install MonacoOptix first. Maybe it installs some kind of color daemon to load the profile... no idea.
    Do you have any clue?
    Thanks a lot!

  • Removing Adobe Gamma

I have just installed a Spyder 3 Pro on my PC and couldnt find any uninstall for Adobe Gamma. The PC is running XP Pro (32 bit SP3) and I have CS4 and CS2 installed.
To remove Adobe Gamma I took the following steps after I had installed the Spyder software but before calibrating:
    1. Removed the shortcuts to Adobe Gamma and Adobe Gamma Loader from the start-up folder.
    2. Removed Adobe Gamma Loader.exe and Adobe Gamma.cpl from the folder C:\Program Files\Common Files\Adobe\Calibration.
There didnt appear to be any remove feature in the control panel, but the Gamma control panel now doesnt appear in the control panel and the PC reboots without any errors.
Was this the correct procedure or was there a better way to do it?

Thanks I wasnt sure if there was anything to clean out in the registry, but as it all appears to be working its probably best left alone.
The calibration was close to what I had achieved with Adobe Gamma, but a little less saturated. This probably explains why prints usually came out less saturated than I was expecting the grey scale calibration was much better than I had achieved by eye.

  • Loading mulitple Adobe Flash web pages makes mouse cursor disappear

I have a 2011 Mac Mini with OSX 10.7 Lion Server
Regardless of the Browser used  - if I load mulitple Adobe Flash based Flickr photo slide show web pages, after 15 seconds my Mouse Cursor completely disappears and makes navigating the mac rather impossible.
Its really buggy and forces me to click or "right click" (Option Click) randomly on the Desktop with the hope that I might briefly see the cursor return so I can close the browsers.
Does not matter if i use Safari, Firefox or Chrome.
These are the pages in question which give me grief -
    http://www.flickr.com/groups/warbirds/pool/with/8032123616/lightbox/
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/fluxstreamcommunication/show/
    http://www.flickr.com/photos/x-ray_delta_one/show/
must click the "play " to start the slide show, have all three running at the same time.
And withing 10 seconds on my mac mini - NO Curser.
Even if I try to move the mouse outside the Browser display area  - to where i clairvoyantly might consider the cursor should be over the Desktop.
Typically results in the invisible cursor accidently creating numerous new folders on the desktop, as I frantically attempt to make the cursor re-appear.
Totally maddening - and I have the Identical problem on Two separate 2011 Macs. (iMac 27 and Mac Mini)
My local  Apple Genius Bar support person suggested I back up my data and perform  "OSX Recovery"
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
Stating its possble that my Adobe Flash was installed wrong.
    I have the latest updates
    OSX 10.7.4
    Flash Version 11.4.402.265

    Update.
    This solved the problem
My local  Apple Genius Bar support person suggested this sequence and it fixed my disappearing cursor!
    1) Back Up personal Data
    2) Perform "OSX Recovery"
    http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4718
    3) Perform the Apple Software update
    4) Then install latest Adobe Flash
    This fixed my problem!
Now I'll do the same fix for my 2011 iMac 27" with the identical issue.

  • Make "Adobe Gamma" available to Lightroom users

]The topic pretty much speaks for itself.
]While I respect the superior nature of software/hardware based calibration
    tools (Colorvision
    b Spyder
    , Pantone
    b Huey
    , GretagMacbeth
    b Eye-One
), until I can afford a new monitor I will wait to purchase one of these solutions. In the mean time
    b Adobe Gamma
would be a very useful tool to me and surely others. I'm honestly surprised that this piece of software was not included with
    b Lightroom 1.0.

Uhhhh, please no Adobe Gamma in lightroom, CS3 or any product.
It was nearly impossible to get Adobe Gamma to work correctly for colors. Maybe a lucky few made it work.
With CS & CS 2 you were better off deleting Adobe Gamma from the startup group. Then using the color matching profile for your monitor.

  • Adobe Gamma als einzelnes Tool?

    Hallo liebe Adobies,

    Was habe ich falschgemacht?

  • Adobe Gamma error on boot

Recently, when I boot my machine, I am getting an error that Adobe Gamma failed to load.
The error comes up as a microsoft error, where you get the tradtional microsoft box that contains
the error asking if you want to send a message to microsoft or not.  It's not happening when I
start CS3 or CS4.  I have made no recent change to this machine.
My main question, is this an important error?
I am running a NEC 3090 with spectraview and when I open CS it still is seeing my monitor
profile.  I haven't messed with Adobe gamma in years back in Photoshop 7.0 or older.
So far nothing seems to have been effected, however I wanted to see if:
    1.  anyone knew how to get the error to go away as I get it on each boot (actually I get
2 error, both saying the same thing.
    2.  Can this cause problems in the CS3 through 5 families?
This machine is an old XP SP2 box, with an Nvidia card 9500 GT.  I haven't updated the card firmware
or the machine's firmware.  It's an older ASUS board.
    Thanks
    Paul Caldwell

Adobe Gamma is not installed with photoshop since??? a long time.
You do not need it, especially if you have an hardware calibrator.
    Uninstall it.

  • Can't find Adobe Gamma to use to calibrate monitor

I have Photoshop Elements 6.0 and wanted to calibrate my monitor using Adobe Gamma which I understand comes with Photoshop. When I search for Adobe Gamma, I can't find the application. Any suggestions on how to find this, does the program have to be re-installed?

Despite what you may hear or read it is impossible to calibrate and profile a screen by software means only.  All these programs rely on you 'eye-balling' the screen to assess when its set correctly - which can be hit or miss.  None of them produce a profile which is also needed.
If you are serious enough to want to ensure that your screen is accurately rendering images then you need to purchase a hardware colourimeter like a Huey, Eye-one or Spyder - there are others as well.
Please note though that these will only ensure that your screen is showing your images correctly.  It will not guarantee that prints will match the screen because a whole new set of rules apply to printing.  It's not too difficult once you understand the basics and find a formula that works for you.
