Lv 8.2 linux online help not working

I cannot get the online help to function.
OS is Fedora 6. HTML files open OK directly in Mozilla.

Hi,
     I'm afraid that we do not have an installation of Fedora core here but in past experience this has been down to a firewall on the system.
Have you got a firewall on the system that you are able to turn off just to test if it is? I would recommend trying this, and if you find that this is the cause then permit LabVIEW access on all ports to prevent anything similar from happening again.

    I installed Oracle EPM 11.1.2.3 on windows 2008 R2. When I click online Help in EAS,  I am getting Error 404- Not Found.
    Do I need to install Anything to make this work?

    It should go through the OHS layer as that has the redirect rules for the online help, so you should really be using http://<webserver>:19000/easconsole/console.html
    Alternatively you can look at installing the documentation locally - http://docs.oracle.com/cd/E40248_01/epm.1112/epm_deployment_options/ch08s02.html

  • Online Help Not Working--Also Need Tutuorials

    I have Labview 6, running on Windows NT. I also have a book-based tutorial
    on hand, which is VERY necessary, because I am a BIG-TIME newbie with
    Labview.
    Anyhow, I was trying to activate Online Help. At one screen, I tried
    clicking a Question mark which is labeled "Other help," which presumably is
    online. However, clicking on it produces nothing. Also, "online reference"
    is not in the Help "drop-down" menu, as it appears in the tutorial book
    (which I THINK is based on Version 5, not my Version 6).
    Anyway, I am trying to find online help within the menu structure. Where
    would one find it in Version 6?
    Lastly, I am a BIG-TIME newbie with Labview. Where's the best web site to
    locate tututorials, and are there
    seminars which teach the program which
    don't cost quite $1000?

    In LabVIEW 6.0, you can access the online help by selecting Help»Contents and Index.
    You also can display the Context Help window by pressing Ctrl-H. The Context Help window displays brief information about objects on the front panel or block diagram as you move the cursor over them. If the More Help button at the bottom of this window is enabled (not dimmed), you can click the button to launch the online help topic to a related topic with detailed information about that object.

  • Why is InDesign online help not working

    I keep searching for help on specfic topics, and the search results populate normally. 
    Then when I click the link to take me to the Adobe InDesign help pages, it just dumps me back to the "front porch" of the InDesign help, that has the search box and the hot links for the general topics.   Happens with numerous search results - not just one stale link. 
    It has been going on for several days as I plow through an InDesign project. 
    And its not a browser issue - on my Mac it happens whether using Safari or Firefox for the search.....

    I have no idea what's wrong, but there's nobody here who can fix it. Which version of ID? Do you see any link for an offline PDF version, or for an earlier version (might be good enough). Or you cuold ask you question here...

  • Online help not working on Manage Workspaces page in admin UI

    I just updated two of our APEX instances to 3.12 today and found the help link returns a "Not Found" on the "Manage Workspaces" main page in the admin UI (minor issue, but nevertheless I thought I might post it):

    The requested URL /i/doc/adm_mg_wrkspc_pg.htm was not found on this server.
    However - this seems to be the only page where this happens (so far).
    I noticed that the directory structure below .../images/doc changed from 3.10 to 3.12 - looks like the update for the help link from within the app might have been forgotten as it still tries to access the old path to that page.

  • Home button in HTML Help Not Working

    My Home button in HTML Help Not Working.
    Also the Home option from the Options menu does not work. I receive the "This program cannot display the webpage" error.
    I have the correct file name (titlepg.htm) in the Advanced Windows Ptoperties "Default" field and the "Home" field. However, I still receive the "This program cannot display the webpage" error.
    How can I correct this situation? Thanks, your help is appreciated!

    Can you post a couple of screen captures please?
    One where you show the Project Explorer with the desired topic in view. Another where you show the dialog where you specify the Home page destination.
    Another thing you may wish to try is to define a totally new window, assign the values there and ensure you point to the window in the Single Source Layout recipe.
    Oh, and one other thing. Are you using RoboHelp HTML or RoboHelp for Word?

  • NI488.2 linux driver software not working

    I have installed and uninstalled and re-installed several times NI 488.2 driver for linux.  Version 2.5 - in SUSE Linux 10.1.
    When selecting troubleshooting, it says the software wasn't installed correctly and says to re-boot and install sofware again.  The GPIB explorer sees the card, but I can't get past the troubleshooting box that says to reinstall the software.  When I uninstall, the nikal and nipal do not totally uninstall.  I looked at the knowledge database and followed the directions on uninstalling, however the UNINSTALL in the /usr/local/natinst/ni4882 directory do not exist, evan after I re-installed the driver again.  I don' t know where to go from here to figure out why the software is not installed correctly.  Can you direct me in the right direction to correct whatever problem may exist?

    This is a screen capture of when I uninstall the driver.  I've done this before.  Apparently, it doesn't totally uninstall and I'm wondering if that has something to do with my installations not working properly.  However, I get no errors when I install the driver.  In answer to your other questions - the driver is running just fine on another linux machine.  I believe there is something in my linux installation causing this, but I'm not quite sure what it is, and where to start poking around.  I also believe the problem is in the installation of the sofware, not the hardware, since that is the error I receive.

    I found a problem in the knowledge database about uninstalling earlier when I was attempting to fix this problem.  It follows.  I do not have uninstall scipts in these directories after installation of the software.  So, I'm not sure if there's a problem in my installation, or if these just don't exist anymore.  But, in any case, I can't uninstall everything.
    This is what I saw in the knowledge base:
    Problem:
    How do I uninstall the NI-488.2 version 2.5 driver for Linux?
    Solution:
    Uninstallation scripts ship with the NI-488.2 version 2.5 driver for Linux.  The uninstallation is componentized, so you will have to run multiple scripts if you wish to completely remove the driver from your system.  To uninstall NI-488.2, run the following commands as root:
    /usr/local/natinst/ni4882/UNINSTALL-help
    /usr/local/natinst/ni4882/UNINSTALL-util
    /usr/local/natinst/ni4882/UNINSTALL-driver
    Additionally, NI-KAL as well as an additional NI support library are installed with NI-488.2 version 2.5 but may be required by other NI programs.  If you do not need any additional NI software, run the following uninstallation scripts:
    /usr/local/natinst/nikal/bin/UNINSTALL
    /usr/local/natinst/nipal/bin/UNINSTALL
    Note: Newer versions of NI-KAL and the NI support library installed by NI-488.2 may not include these UNINSTALL scripts.  In this case the NI-DAQmx or NI Modular Instruments Driver UNINSTALL scripts should be run last and they will remove NI-KAL and the NI support library.
    The NI-488.2 installer also installs the LabVIEW Runtime Engine.  Depending on the Linux distribution, you will need to either remove this via RPM or by deleting the shared object from /usr/local/lib.
    So, still looking for more suggestions.  I have attempted all you said to do.  And still have the same problem.

  • UK online number not working

    I purchased an online UK number on 15/03. It has yet to work. Sometimes I get a 'broken' ring tone. Other times I get a message saying "We're sorry. There is currently a high demand for this destination". 
    I have chnaged my privacy settings as per help note to allow callers to get through to me.
    Any ideas?

    Hello. I paid for a year subscription for a Hong Kong-based online number about a month ago for work purposes. My coworkers and clients have tried calling the number, but the service does not appear to have worked at any point, or been activated. They hear something like a busy signal, but no ringing.
    I don't have this problem at all with my personal U.S.-based online number.
    It would be great if I could get help with getting the HK online number to work as it should. If it can't be made to work, I would appreciate having the number cancelled and the subscription fee refunded. Thank you.

    Launched Adobe Reader > Prompts "protected mode" windows to disable> Disabled Protected mode>Help working fine now
