Lvwutil32 version too early to covert to current LabVIEW version?

Hi all,
I am looking to control the windows panel with some of the useful vis stored inside the lvwutil32 lib. However when I tried to open the vis inside the library, an error message saying that the vi version (4.0) is too early to be converted to my current LabVIEW version (8.5.1).
Is there anyway to reconvert the vi that my current LabVIEW can use? It is a great shame as from the readme that comes with the lvwutil32, it seems that there are a lot of useful vis that I would find very useful for my projects.
Hope someone could provide some help on this. Thanks!

  • Labview version 7.1 is too old to convert to current Labview version 8.0

I had developed my Labview code sometime back using LV-7.1 and now I am trying to deploy it on a new PC. The Test Stand version that I have is 3.1. I did everything right and after I installed my deployment package, I get the error that the Labview version 7.1 is too old to convert to current Labview version 8.0.
I am going to look into converting my code using Labview 8.0, but I am puzzled, why would it matter, as am using the same Labview (7.1) and TestStand (3.1) as before, and getting this error? I also installed the old Traditional DAQ drivers (instead of the DAQmx) and so everything is the same except that the PC is new.

    Hey Shoab,
Are you getting this when you run the sequence in the Sequence Editor?  If so then I would suggest checking the adapter configurations.  Go to Configure>>Adapters select LabVIEW and click the Configure.. button. Once in there you can change the run-time engine to 7.1.
Let me know if that helps.

  • Load error code 9: VI version (8.2) is newer than the LabVIEW version (8.2b23).

    I am getting the error...
VI version is later than the current LabVIEW version.  An error occurred loading VI 'CleanupCallback.vi'.  LabVIEW load error code 9: VI version (8.2) is newer than the LabVIEW version (8.2b23).

This is true.  the 'b' indicates that it is a beta version of labview 8 (.2 in this case).  I am surprised your beta version is still working.  You need to upgrade to 8.2 or have the vi downgraded to 8.0

  • Version Column in Library not showing current Doc Version

    Hi,
I enabled versioning in a library, and added the 'version' column to my library so  that I can view the version without clicking on the 'version history' option.  None of the documents are showing a number!  Most all of them should be 1.0
(they haven't changed since they were put on SharePoint), but none of them have a number at all.
Am I misunderstanding the use of the 'Version' column?  I thought this was kind of a no brainer.
    Thanks,

    Hi,
According to your post, my understanding is that you wanted to view the documents’ versions in a document library without clicking on the “Version History” option.
Is the “Version” column which you added from the “Add from existing site columns” in the “Library Settings”?
If yes, the “Version” site column can have the corresponding numbers after you type the values into it.
I recommend that you can directly click “Modify View” in the library ribbon to add the “Version” column.
Then, you will view the “Version” column with the corresponding version numbers in the document library.

  • Can I update to earlier than the latest (currently 8) version of Firefox? I need that because my test frameword has problems starting Firefox version 8 and there were no such problems up until version 7.

I recently updated from Firefox 7 to Firefox 8.
Until version 7 the test framework I use, based on Selenium, was working normally with the browser. Since I updated to version 8 - the framework can't open any browser session. So I had to downgrade to older version to be able to run my tests. But the only older version than 8 was 3.6 - really stable but very, very old one.
So I need to choose to work with any version between 3.6 and 8, excluding 8 for now.
How can this happen from the Firefox site?

Nice try, but this url does not work anymore 10 Dec 2011. Are we ever going to have an answer as to why all versions before V8 were dropped off the map back to 3.6? Is 3.6 secure?

  • File version is later than the current LabView version

I have LabView 2010 and I need to use an instrument driver that was written in LabView 2012.
Is there any way I can get this driver to work with 2010?

As SnowMule said, post the library in the Version Conversion board as a zip file.  State the current version and what version you need.  Then be patient.  One of us will take care of it when we find the time.

  • Sypris Teslameter Driver_too early to convert to 8.5 labview version

I am new to labview (8.5) programme and trying to use it to run my setup. I connected the Gaussmeter/Teslameter (FW Bell Sypris 6010) to the computer using serial port and RS-232 cable and used the driver (from the company) for this type of devices in order to allow labview to communicate with this device but there is always an error when I try to access the device through labview. This error says:
"VI version is too early to convert the current LabView version"
I would really appreciate any help in getting this solved.
    Many thanks

  • TestStand Deployment Issue - VI too early to convert

I have a test system which has LabVIEW 8.0 and TestStand 3.5 running VIs and sequences developed on this system. I am trying to replace this with a deployment system and not having much success. I admit I'm pretty green with LV8 and TS3.5, but reasonably computer savvy.
I purchased the same DAQ boards used in the existing system and installed them in a new PC. The PCs are different types, the existing system is a HP Pavilion and the deployment system is a Dell. I didn't think hat would have much effect.
I created a deployment install image on the development system. I tried this a few months ago and was able to get a simple test deployment working. Now that I've got the actual DAQ hardware, I attempted to deploy the full test system. It installed OK on the deployment system, but when I run a sequence, I get a message that states:
LABVIEW: VI version is too early to convert to the current LABVIEW version.
The notable differences between the two systems include:
    1. Different PC types
    2. Possibly a different DAQmx version - I installed DAQmx from the CDs that came with the new hardware, not from the original CDs.
    3. XP Pro instead of XP Std
Any suggestions? Like I said, I don't have a lot of experience with this, so any help is appreciated.
    Thanks,
    Blair

Thanks, Rick. I tried checking Daqmx 8.0 as one of the drivers to load with the build and got an error. The error indicated that the driver couldn't be loaded as Measurement Studio wasn't installed.
I'll have to see if I can find the original drivers that were used with the old system and remove the drivers from the new system and install the old drivers. I suppose I could try installing the new drivers on the old system and then doing the build, but I hesitate to do that as I am afraid that something will get broken on the old system and shut down production. I've already had one issue during start-up that caused the license to invalidate and had to re-install the license, so I would rather not make any changes at this time.
Unfortunately, a subcontractor created the original system, and I don't know if I have the original driver disks.
The driver disks that came with the new DAQ boards show ver 8.6.
The version number of Measurement and Automation Explorer is the same.

  • Client old offline install overrides current system version?

    Hi,
I'm making an installer for my app which uses a flash app that eventually runs an unity3d app.
This sofware is supposed to be installed offline and as simple as it can be.
    I'm currently running it silent (install_flash_player_11_plugin.exe /s).
My question is, would an offline silent install of an olver version of flash client replace the current newer version in the system?
Ie. I have installed version 12 of flash on a computer, if I install version 11 silently, would 11 overrides 12? or what happens? does it throw an error or something?
Remember all this is offline mode.
    Thanks in advance.

The silent installer should just exit with no warnings after sensing a newer version installed.
Always test these things in your environment however. Special circumstances exist in all situations. Better to be safe than sorry.
Download any previous version of the installer from the archive here:
    http://helpx.adobe.com/flash-player/kb/archived-flash-player-versions.html
Run the installer (/s) and you should see it do nothing but return you to a command prompt without saying anything, and you should still have a newer version installed, verified here:

  • Get Project LabVIEW Version

Lets say I have a random LabVIEW file.  I can use the Get File Type.vi found in the VI.lib to figure out what the file type is.  It could be an Instrument, Control, Project, Library, XControl or a bunch of others.  If it is a VI I can use the Get VI Version invoke node to find what version of LabVIEW it was made with.  If it is a Library I can use the Library.Get File LabVIEW Version to get the version, or if it is a project I can use the Project.Get File LabVIEW Version.
What I find strange, is if I have a VI saved in 2013, and I run the invoke node for reading the LabVIEW version but my development environment is 2011, it will say the VI was made with 2013.  But if I have a project saved in 2013, and use the invoke node to read the version, and my development machine is 2011, I get an error saying File version is later than the current LabVIEW version error 1125.
Is this a bug?  I mean I can read the project file as text and parse it with a XML parser to find the version.  So why does this function choke and die when trying to read newer file versions, but a VI and Library can be read no problem?

  • Which LabVIEW version is used for CLA exam?

The CLA Exam Preparation Guide (link) states that LabVIEW 2009 will be installed on the test computer.  Is this still true?  If not, is there an official "Current LabVIEW Version for Certification Exams" link/document that is updated when it changes?  If not, there should be - this seems to come up a lot.
I'm writing the exam at NI week, if that matters.

I used 2010. But it shouldn't really matter that much. I can not think of anything in 2010 that would have made the test any different.

my macbook pro early 2012 won't install release version of yosemite after being in the beta test, anyone else having any issues with this?

Received an email from apple saying thank you for being in the beta test and they tell you to download the release version from the mac app store and install it. Done this twice and it says installed successfully after rebooting twice and doing the usual install of a new OS. However when it boots up and opens your desktop it still has the Feedback assistant installed and continuity and all the new features do not work at all. Making me assume that the final release has not installed at all. Spoke to apple on the Phone and they Don't know how to solve it. Except for doing a fresh OS Install. Which i would rather not do, but might have too. currently backing up my Mac as we spec to do it
