how are you,
here one issue is relating to physical inventory here they asking while runing the lx16 the report is not coming
issue is
AU15-NHILL Missing Bins in report
We have run the continuous counting process LX16 for:
Warehouse No: AC1
Storage type: S01
Storage Bin: A1 to I6
The report did not give me bins B1 and I1 to I6 - why
there is stock sitting in B1, I2 and I3
See report in LI04n for listing
i think if once the counting is happened it will not show ,how can we see the counting is already take place are not yet take is there any t.code or what is the process and suggest me how to solve this issue

remove the two flags (only...)in the lower part of your LX16 selection screen .

Hi Experts,
When execute LX16 for PI, is this process updates last inventory date at bin level or quant level table ?
After completing LX16 process, and continue to execute Cycle count in LICC , the same materials in which physical inventory were completed using LX16 are praposing for inventory?
Question : why is this even thou PI is completed in LX16, and again same materials were praposed for physical inventory in LICC ?
Is this a SAP standard behaviour?
How Can i avoid for not letting the LICC process to consider materials in which PI completed with LX16.

There is a customizing to define the default values for MI31 selection. But you only need to customize it if you want certain fields in MI31 differently proposed.
Just check in MI31 selection what is behind the button ACC to STOCK in the middle of the screen.
If the boxes for include already counted material / include already counted batches are empty, then it will not include counted materials into the next physical count.

Not able to enter the count for physical inventory document in WM

Hi All,
I have created a Physical Inventory document using LX16 t-code (WM managed). Since the material and bin stock is zero and When I try to enter the count by ticking zero stock indicator using LI11 t-code, I am not able to save the document and system throws error "Finding empty Quants provided for" and message number is L4058.
Please let me know how to resolve this.

Yes your understanding is correct but only thing I have not entered qty in the count field rather I set only zero stock indicator.
My requirement is " In Inventory (MMBE) stock of a material shows around "3000" qty. But In WM stock is "zero" and physically also "zero". so in IM also stock should be reduced to "Zero". So I tried of creating PI document in WM and then when I try to enter the count, I faced the menioned problem.

Net effect on Physical Inventory WM level

Hi,
While doing the Physical Invetory at WM level, the problem is faced below.
1) say material A is not found in the bin as specified by system (Document created in LX16)
So while taking the difference list the material A is shown as lost.
2) the same material A is found in some other bin which was not intended for it.
so users have added in as new item found in some other bin.
Even though the net effect for the material is nil, but users are worried while doing write off in two levels.(because two different Physical Inventory record are involved in this case)
Is there any way to check with reference to material if it is lost in one location & found in another location?
Or any way to recoinsile the material?
Any reports that gives list of lost & list of founds after Count entered?

You can check LS24 by giving 999 Storage Type in selection criteria for a perticular material.
You can use LX03 for your Warehouse number & Storage type 999 if you want report for all materials at once.
But it is to be done before write off & after Count entered.

Physical Inventory Count...

Hello Gurus.
We are trying to perform our first Physical Inventory. Our procedures our Installer provided, does not seem complete..... We start by entering LX16, and selecting what storage type and range of bins we want to perform the search on. We then activate after selection. Then next step is to goto LI11N to enter the counts, but when does the Inventory Document print? How can i enter counts If i have no document to go off of?? Are these procedures wrong? If anybody has any insight, please advise on the proper steps/transactions. Thx Zach

well the process given is accurate
the moment u create pi document in system by entering the stock typa and the bin no.
and once u post that then system should genrate the document print out autmatically as pr ur message dtermination strategy
once again i will say the process is correct

Physical Inventory on a production shop floor

Hi all,
I would like to know how I should go about physical inventory on our shopfloor. WM is active and HUM is active. Also all the Handling Units are assigned to Production Orders.
I've tried using the transaction codes LX16 and LX15 but I run into the following errors:
>>The HU is assigned to a document. (I find I have to delete the assignment but I have trouble reassigning the HU back to the Production order after inventory is completed because it is then assigned to the inventory document and I do not know how to delete assignment from an inventory document)
>>Search for material in HU storage location is not supported.
There must be some way.

Do note this warning from SAP regarding the type of inventory counting procedure you should use:
Some of these inventory procedures are subject to legal restrictions, others may not be suitable for use with your warehouse for warehouse-related technical or organizational reasons. SAP therefore recommends that you define the inventory procedure to be used together with the person responsible for inventories, and agree on the inventory procedure with your external auditor.

Physical Inventory at Warehouse

Hi experts
In the WMS the physical inventory can be carried at each storage bin or quant. Is there any config to choose either of this option.
In my test, i could not get all the bins included in the phy. inventory doc. Please note that there are no open TO's (unconfirmed TO's)

In transaction LX16 there is a button that says 'onlky bins not yet counted' make sure that this is NOT ticked and then try again.
SAP expects you to count ALL bins once before you count them again so taking this tick off allows you to count when you want.

Physical inventory document not showing the warehouse stock type in MI24

I am facing two issues.
1. In Production system, after executing MI31 for plant 3070, if i see the report in MI24, in Plant 3070, sLoc 0010, for some materials Warehouse stock type is not coming even though the materials are warehouse managed and having warehouse management views are there in material master. for some materials warehouse stock type is coming in the same plant and sloc.
2. In qulaity system, afetr executing MI31 for Plant 3070, no PID is generated for Sloc 0010 even though the sloc is having materials and those are warehouse managed and having warehouse management views are therein material master.
where i need to check for the problem,
Please help me in resolving this issue, this is high priority for me.

in your training documents (just kidding) .
You wrote that your storage location is warehouse managed. But MI31 is the transaction to craete physical inventory documents for a non-warehouse-managed location.
You have to create your physical inventory with WM transactions like LX16.

Physical Inventory by Continuous Method

Hi Gurus,
We were doing cycle count inventory for last couple of years. Now we want to go for Continuous Physical Inventory Method. In Trx OMNK I select the Inventory Method PZ and remove the cc indicator for all the storage types. From Material Master I also removed the cc physical inventory indicator (ABC) from each material. We are using ver 4.6c
I ran the Trx LX16 to create the Physical Inventory Document. But I'm not getting anything except a info message "no data exist (select again)".
I've checked that storage type has inventory for most of the materials and no physical inventory has been done for that specific storage type in current Fiscal year. Our Fiscal year ended on sept. 30th 2007. Now we are in new Fiscal Year.
Please advice why I'm getting above error and how to resolve it?
Is it related to some Fiscal year end activity? What is that activity?

Yes we did couple of items with cycle count.
In LX22 there are no document with status "No Cleared"
In LS03N at Inventory Tab there is no info at all
When I run report RLREOLPQ it only gives me the static display report with Whous No, Storage Type, Quant, Material Number. I can print or save as a file but there is no option like reset or update inventory etc. What I'm supposed to do after running report RLREOLPQ.
In ran LX16 after RLREOLPQ but got the same result.

Need help in creating a Physical Inventory Document with HUs given

Hi Gurus,
There is a problem I am facing while doing a ALV report.
I have created the report and there is a button which i have fixed which has to create Physical Inventory Document.
The scenario is:
I will select the records in the report based on the Vessel Bill Of Lading (VBOL) (related to Batch characteristics of a material) and then i need to pass those values to create Physical Inventory Document.
I got a functional module HUINV_DOCUMENT_CREATE which will create the document but I am not clear what are the values that I need to pass in this.
Or do anyone know how to create the Document by passing HU (Handling Units) and Plant & Storage Location?
Please help me in the same.

Physical Inventory Movement Block not Rest at Storage Location Level

Hi,
We are facing a typical problem in our Production System and the issue is as follows:
1. We have created a Physical Inventory Document for a material with Freeze Book Inventory and Posting Block indicators.
2. We completed the count and entered the same with reference to the PI Document.
3. We reconciled and posted the differences in the system.
4. We still find that in Material Master the Physical Inventory block for material movements was not reset automatically at the Storage Location stock view.
Please help us urgently as all our Goods movements for this material are held up.

I am able to see 4 PIDs in MI22 for my material.
2 docs pertaining to the latest Annual Physical Inventory in 2010.
These documents are for the same material in the same plant but for different Storage Locations. Out of which when i see the Material Master - Storage Location view, i see that the Physical Inventory Block "X" is set for one of the Storage Locations.
The PID for the Storage Location with this Physical Inventory Block for Movements indicator, is already settled (Count done and no differences in physical and book stock in this storage location).
The problem persists and i need to remove the posting block which was not reset.

Our suggestion on Physical inventory at the client site was as per SAP
"If the flag for posting block is set then no movements can be posted for that material. Note that the inventory document should be created at a material / plant / storage location level so as to not block that material at other storage locations. If a block is not required then do not flag the Set posting block indicator. It is always prudent to restrict the amount of materials being counted and to clear the count results quickly so business is not interrupted"
CLIENT feedback: " Like wise we asked the client to make the selection by Plant = 1000, SLoc = 100, and WBS =2312-344-332 and checked Posting Blocked.
My understanding was that this selection would block only the 1000/100/WBS location.
Client is having a problem is that people trying to transact in a SLoc other than 100 (200, 300, 400) are experiencing the Blocked warning.
I know I heard that we can inventory a Storage location in SAP and lock it and the rest of the sites could continue without interruption.
Any suggestions on how we can achieve this.

Are you setting teh posting block at the time of creation of physical inventory document or by running MI32 later?
If you are running MI32, then ensure that you enter teh storage locations correctly, else the material irrespective of storage locatioons may get blocked.

T-code WV31 create physical inventory for vendor consignment stock

Hi all,
I have some issue with T-code WV31i n Sap Retail. Even though it supposed to create physical inventory doc for unrestricted use stock, it also create physical inventory Docs for special stocks (vendor consignment stock). What could be the reason?

If i do physical inventory for 2 quantity.
1. Consignment Payables account debited with 2 qty ( Now stock becomes 4 nos)
If i issue 4 quantity
2. Consignment Payables account credited with 4 qty.
If i do consignment settelment, it is setteling 4-2 (for 2 quantity).
But I want to settele for 4 quantity.

Error while creating physical inventory document with zero count

Hi,
I am trying to create a physical inventory document for a material that has zero stock and that is not batch managed but I am geting an error as below.
"Item 001: No batches that can be included in phys. inv. exist.(Message no. M7701)"
This error occurs only for one or two materials.
I am able to create the physical inventory document for other materials which is also zero stock and there is no batch managed for the same.
Can anyone pls advice.

hi
if your material is split valuated, but not batch managed, then the split valuation type is shown in field batch number. And...it is a batch then.
To be able to do a zero count you have to have a batch record whose batch number is the valuation type.
If you never had stock in the storage location you want count, then you have to
1. extend the material to this storage location with MMSC
2. create the batch record with MSC1N for this storage location.

Error while activating WM Physical Inventory doc..........

While activating an WM physical inventory doc (LI02N) I am getting error as follows:
"Number of allowed bins exceeded after storage bin 01-01-01
Message no. L4063"
Warehouse in SU Managed & has Bin-Sectioning upto 3 -sections.

Hi,
I think it is because of the maxinum number of items limited for your warehouse in the SPRO setting LE -> Activities -> PI -> Define differences and document limits. Check the max number of bins/quants allowed per PI document for your warehouse.
