LX23 clearing, filtering by material
Hello experts
We are using transaction LX23 to compare stocks on IM and WM and then we flag "Clear differences" to process automatic inventory movements that adjust IM with the quantities in WM.
We want to know if this transaction or another one similar can be used for this purpose but filtering by material or selecting only some materials.

This transaction only lists the inventory but I am not able there to post movements for inventory differences between IM and WM.
We need a transaction were we can process this changes but being able to exclude some materials.

Problem with filtering on material
I encountered a problem when filtering on material numbers that have a period in them (e.g. 111.10.114.00).
This happens only on materials that contain a period, and it only happens if you do not use the checkboxes to select the filter value.
If you use the funnel to filter AND use the checkbox to select what you want, then everything works fine.
If you filter by using u201CKeep filter valueu201D and selecting the line then it does not work
If done on material number that has no period (.) in it, then itu2019s ok. If the material has a period (.) then filter does not work. This seems to happen only with period as a character. Tried materials with letters in them and dashes, these worked ok.
does anyone had this issue before or knows any OSS Notes that could be helpful?

Clear Filters for each report separately
Hi Experts,
In our Dashboard page has 5 different table view report with a Filter and clear filters option, when I click the clear filter option it affect all the (5) reports.
1. But I want to clear filter for each reports separately, is it possible means pls tell me how to fix this issue.
2. Then we want display Grand total at the top of the Table view report ie First Grant total fo the table and then Table report (Usually table view report has Grant total in bottom of that report)

GR/IR Clearing Account for Material & Asset

We want to maintain different GR/IR Clearing Account for Materials & Assets.

In case of asset - we define account determination in asset master which is like stock account for material. But if you use purchase order then for asset you use account assignment category as A - it means it is like account assigned purchase order. So all goods reciept credit on these POs will go to GR/IR account created without valuation class. Same time if you donot maintain service masters then goods receipt will go to same account (no valuation class). So either you need to define service materials or use same account for both.

Applying/Clearing filters in Oracle SQL Developer
Is there a way to temporarily clear the filter for Other Users (Schemas)/Tables/Views etc. in Oracle SQL Developer?
I have a large number of Other Users and sometimes I want to see them all but usually I want a selected list. I don't want to have to recreate the list when reapplying the filter. I'm using Oracle SQL Developer version 3.2.20.09. Is there a either a way to save the filter specifications or just temporarily clear the filter? If not, I think that would be a nice feature.

Clear Filters in 3.9 Sp1
I had a consultant come in and migrate my NW 6.5 Sp7 w/BorderManager 3.9 to another server and now I think my filters are jacked up. I have most things back but I cant get GW 7 GWIA to find DNS names unless the Filters are turned off. I tried the settings in Craig Johnsons Filter book but it still does not work.
Any ideas or how to clear the filters and start with the deafult filters? I tried through Imanager but they still have my attempts to make things work.

Interactive Report -- Clear Filters -- How?
I am running into a very weird situation. I created an interactive report and it is working fine.
Unfortunately, I applied a “Filter” criteria that would make the SQL query run for 4-5 hrs and then the result will come back.
In this case, I close the browser and went back to the same page (interactive report). I noticed that it still remembers my filter criteria and re-issues the same sql query and I don’t get control of the page. I checked the sql query in TOAD – Session Browser.
How do I clear the filter criteria? It looks like this interactive page is unusable till I am able to reset my filter criteria.
Any help would be appreciated.
AjayI understand that there is a "Reset" button, but the page will not be displayed as APEX is trying to be smart and tries to run the same "run-away query" when I try to go back to the same page.
And because of this, my browser will not even display the "Actions" button.
The page is stuck between a rock and a hard place.

So, it is clear that you can't use different material group for material master in purchase order.
For stock report, system will only show you the material group which is assigned to the material master (MARA-MATKL). System will not look into the purchase order section (like EKPO). -

Hi Experts,
I have a scenario.I want to maintain material group for a material at the time of po creation.In next time i will maintain different material group for the same material.
But I want to view the the stocks for material group wise which i entered in po.Is it possible to achieve this?

It clearly says that material group can't be changed in case you will use material master in purchase order.
So, it is clear that you can't use different material group for material master in purchase order.
For stock report, system will only show you the material group which is assigned to the material master (MARA-MATKL). System will not look into the purchase order section (like EKPO). -

Please go through the below paragraph , which is Self explanatory for accounting posting while maintaining ( clearing ) the GR /IR balances.
If there is a quantity variance between the goods receipt and the invoice for a purchase order, this results in a balance on the GR/IR clearing account. The system expects an additional goods receipt or an additional invoice to clear this balance. If this is not done, you must clear the GR/IR clearing account manually.
For a material subject to moving average price control, the offsetting entry for clearing the GR/IR clearing account is posted to the stock account (provided that there is sufficient stock coverage for the quantity difference):
If there is a delivery surplus on the GR/IR clearing account, the material was debited with too high a value when the goods receipt was posted. When the GR/IR clearing account is cleared, the material is credited accordingly.
If there is an invoice surplus on the GR/IR clearing account, the material was debited with too low a value when the goods receipt was posted. When the GR/IR clearing account is cleared, the material is debited accordingly
If there is insufficient stock coverage for this quantity, only the portion corresponding to the available stock is posted to the stock account. The rest is posted to a price difference account.
For a material subject to standard price control, the offsetting entry to clear the GR/IR clearing account is made to a price difference account. Thus, there are no value changes in the material master record.

Cancelling Material Receipts generated from approved Service Entry Sheets
Several service entry sheets were entered twice into SAP and approved for Vendor . Upon approval, material receipt documents were created and because the vendor is ERS, invoices were created and paid. Manual credit memos have been processed in AP so the vendor has been charged back but the GR/IR GL account won't clear without the material receipt reversals.
To properly credit the job and debit the GR/IR GL account for this duplication, reversing material receipt documents need to be created. Anybody knows how to do the correction?

Please follow the below steps.
01. First Cancel the Invoice
02. GO ML81N and in change mode you will get rewoke service entry sheet, a pop will come for posting dates enter the posting dates. and save . It will change the reverse the GR document created through Service entry. Set deletion indicator if you want.

Issue while updating EAN in Material Master

We are using the following code to update the EAN of an existing material, but no changes are being done in the article.
I am getting a message "Messages for article 100002268: log number 0000000000012552" from the BAPI. When I checked the log its says that "No Changes made". Please let us know what we are missing.

I have checked the report MBLB there is lot of unrestricted material. This is actually losted material, Kindly let me know how i can clear this pending material. The SAP shows this material but actually material does not exist physical.

BW Query showing more Material than R/3 Query, Why..??

I am facing problem when running the query on Inventory cube 0IC_C03.
I have loaded data from 3 Data Sources 2LIS_03_BX, 2LIS_03_BF and 2LIS_03_UM as mentioned in below link and strictly followed by applying Marker updates after the load

Now the problem is,
End User trying to compare BW Inventory Query (Plant Analysis: Stock) values with MC.1 (Plant Analysis: Stock: Selection)
In R/3 (MC.1) showing the total number of materials are 3755 for the period 01.2008
In BW Query for the same period (01.2008) total number of materials are 3960
I am doubting why BW showing more materials?, this resulting the differance value for Valueated Stock value and Valuated Stock Quantity when we compare with R/3.
When i am comparing material wise in BW query with MC.1, whatever the missing Materials are showing in BW Query as 0 Quantity but some value
Ex: Values is = -£ 51.46 and Quantity is = 0 EA
Please provide me some inputs, your help will be appreciated.

Please check the Material numbers which are coming extra in BW not in R/3 whether they are under any material group. If they are all in under the "#" material group then u can restrict the query by filtering the material group "#".
Just filter Excluding the "#" material group in the query.
Then you will get the right values.
Hope this may help you.
The difference between the BW and R/3 material numbers is because. Some extra materials may get from the UM datasource, so you are getting only values and not the quantities.
Try the above idea. I hope it works.
