Lync 2010 Polycom CX600 phones fail to sign-in after firmware update

We're running the latest version of Lync2010 in our environment of approximately 1,500 Polycom CX600 phones across 5 Standard edition sites. After rolling out the latest firmware update 4.0.7577.4444 this weekend about 10% of the phones do not come back
online as the user they were previously signed as.The firmware was approved on a Friday evening and Monday morning we were still experiencing the issue.
The phone is stuck in the following error message:
"Sign-in Error
Cannot sign in. Please verify your sign-in address domain\username, and password and try again."
The phone did update to the latest version of firmware but is stuck in "limbo". Doing a traffic dump on the port it's connected to did not reveal anything as the phone is not attempting to communicate with any servers. Only a power
cycle (unplugging POE LAN port) makes the phone sign back in. Just to clarify, after the power cycle the phone signs back in on its own as it seems that it still stored the user's sign in information.
We connect to the voice network via LLDP and we have Alcatel-Lucent 6250 switches that these phones connect to. We also have the DHCP options for the phones to find our voice network for areas that do not have LLDP capable switches.
Just to recap, about 150 phones experienced this issue across all sites and we cannot narrow it down to anything specific about the environment. Performing a power cycle fixes this issue but it is extremely annoying.
Any suggestions?

Try to move back to the previous version or you may need to reset each phone manually.

Secure link to iTunes store failed and Connection attempt to firmware update server was unsuccessful

Hello everyone, Im facing error with my iTunes. When I run diagnostics i can see "Secure link to iTunes store failed" - please see the image below
Please note: as it is showing secure link to itunes is failed but still i can see iTunes store, but the above error shows when I run diagnostics.
After that when I go through the next and I found the diagnostics report as below, within report i have marked a line with RED colored "Connection attempt to firmware update server unsuccessful". I need HELP!!!!!

It sounds like there is an issue with your PC establishing a secure connection to the iTunes Store and the firmware update server. Try following along with the articles below, as they should resolve the issues that you described.

Phone icon doesn't work after ios8 update

After updating my phone to iOS 8 it is now not letting me access my phone icon it closes automatically after I open it. I tried hard resetting it it still didn't help. What do I do to fix it?

After firmware update on E51, phone do not boot

I did a firmware update yesterday to 220.34.37, the update did go successfully, and made the phone not to boot as well.
Can anyone help.

You are entering them wrong. All of those codes need a star (*) at the start before they will work.

M5035MFP displays Permanent Storage Write Failed after firmware update to 48.301.7

After updating the firmware to 48.301.7, I have two M5035MFP machines that are displaying "68 Permanent Storage Write Failed" error messages. The users can press Continue and printing will proceed normally for another 10-50 pages when the message will appear again. The NVRAM and HDD have been reset/intiliased and they have been powered off/on several times.
This is also occurring on two other different models (6040MFP/9040MFP) which also started showing up after a firmware update about the same time.
Could this be a failed update? How would I go about downgrading to a previous firmware version?

I want to share with you this solution:
Please try first to reseat the Formatter/HDD and the memory DIMM and install the correcly then try:
First it is not adviced to downgrade the firmware at this step, you can try a cold reset and upgrade firmware again.
here, you need to remove the existent Firmware file on your PC and try to download it again from the HP Website, thus you can instaltly disable the firewalls and the antivirus and do this action.
NOTE: You can try a new upgrade firmware before you proceed with the Cold reset* of the printer.
Cold reset (Format disk also can be performed if this don't work): You can check the printer's manual to know how to perform it.
Please try an NVRAM init or Super NVRAM Init if this don't give a solution.
All these manipulations you can find in the printer's manual
Please note also that all these manipulations will delete all the current printer's configuration if it going to be working fine, so you will need to upgrade firmware and set your printer up again.
==> There is a need to delete files on the HDD / data on the DIMM, unplug and restart the printer.
The final solution is to replace the Formatter then the HDD if all these solutions don't bring a result.

Acer aspire 5560g Failing to boot after Firmware update

Hey guys, So i recently upgraded my Aspire 5560g to Windows 8.1. I liked it but it seemed to have lost my drivers in the process (my track pad scrolling didnt work and my Dolby audio origram was gone). I went to for the drivers and decided to start with a firmware upgrade (9545 for hard disk performance). After the computer rebooted, I entered the dreaded Windows 8.1 boot loop. It would say "Your PC ran into problems..." with the bluescreen, then turn off. Then it would attempt the Automatic repair, and fail again, then restart the cycle. I wasn't able to even get into my BIOS until I cleared my CMOS, now at least I can get into BIOS. I created a bootable USB for Windows in hopes I could do a clean install, but even when trying to boot from a USB I get the blue Windows 8 screen, "Your PC ran into problems..."
Is there a way I can undo the firmware update, it seems like the culprit, doesn't it? Any help appreciated. Thanks EDIT: I've read that the Windows boot loop may be caused by outdated drivers. Think this could be the problem after I did the firmware update? How can I install the drivers without being able to boot into Windows? Thanks

Okay, I tried each stick at a time in both slots with the same results. Windows blue screened on both the HDD and the bootable USB. Isn't it too much of a coincidence that it started acting up after the firmware update?

If it is in recovery mode, then no you can escape or bypass it and you would need to use iTunes to restore it. Once that is complete, if you have a back up in iTunes or iCloud, then you can put that back up back on.

Vcenter fails to sign in after update to 5.5 due to adding 3rd esxi 5.5 host

Added new 5.5esxi host, and attemted to add 5.5 host using 5.1 vcenter. Asked for license or evaluation then dropped host.
Vcenter will not authenticate with two 5.1 esxi hosts after 5.5 upgrade. I then updated 5.1 vcenter to 5.5 then tried to sign in, and vcenter failed however when I sign in one host in vsphere client the dialog box states that my vcenter at xx.xx.xx address is in use.
Unable to login, to vcenter. Since the hosts are live production servers, am unsure of the next step since I don't want to disconnect
The users "live production" from inventory.
I've updated to 5.5 due to a third esxi 5.5 installed over weekend.
There is no domain used and the domain controller is off.
Please offer assistance

hello David thank you for replying, I have to hosts that are running in production and they were previously connected to vCenter via 5. 1. the third host is not currently up and running yet and it is on soon to be vcenter 5.5. . The vCenter still loads as 5.5, and I can sign into the first host and the second host independent of the vSphere sign on via its ip address. . when I sign into the other hosts the to host involved with a dialog box stating vcenter in use. . Since it is a busy weekend for my client due to Memorial Day weekend. cannot afford to have an error with respect to disconnection of the host from the center when I sign on to vCenter via the web client I get a error message that it cannot connect to port 443 even though the vCenter client is connected to 9443. if you're stating that I should remove the host from the client "will I lose any existing inventory that is currently residing on the host on the production machines. please note, the domain controller, and ad seever are off currently due to client working in workgroups. Soon to move them on a domain..

Phone wont restore my settings after iOS5 update..

YesterdayI backed up my iPhone4 to my iTunes and downloaded and updated the phone to the new iOS5. Everything worked fine UNTIL I tried to restore my settings from my back up.
It keeps saying restore failed and not giving a reason.
ive tried 5or six times, turning of my computer etc.
My iTunes is up to date and everything.
I want all my photos and contacts back Please help!!

Same here joshrocker - after two days I finally gave up trying to restore the backup and clicked the "delete backup" button instead - I had to recover the iPhone as new with the home/power button press and hence lost all my unsaved photos and app settings - tried to restore again once I had a working phone but the most recent backup had disappeared (must have been that delete button) and the next oldest backup was prior to my upgrade from 3G to 4 so no use at all. Nothing in my waste bin so only God knows where that backup went.
I now have to go through and rearrange all my apps - no mean feat in itself.
My lost photos were a journal of my latest PC watercooling build. I am very very upset about loosing them. grrrr.
Needless to say I will not be upgrading to ANY new version of IOS in a hurry in future.
Let's face it, I never trusted Microsoft until Service Pack 2 on anything, now I have to add Apple to that list of mistrusted software writers too.

Phone not working after firmware update for nokia ...

I tried updating my nokia 5800 today when the new firmware was released. i have already updated my other phone including another 5800. But when I updated the firmware of another 5800 (my 5800 through nokia software updater from pc/laptop), after the nokia updater application said that the update was successful, my phone showed the nokia logo with the new firmware version. It's supposed to reboot automatically and continue as normal but after waiting for like 15 minutes, my phone's still not turning on and still showed on the screen that the phone was not connected. That's when I unplugged it off from the USB cable and tried to turn it on, but it will just vibrate for a few seconds and then nothing! It won't turn on or work! I've tried to search on how to fix this problem but to no avail.. please help me.. is my phone going to work again?

I phone camera is not working after the update

I have an iPhone 4S 16 GB, It worked perfectly under iOS 7.1.2. . . I upgraded the OS to iOS 8.0.2 about two weeks ago. ( Bad Move )
I noticed right off that my device was running a little slower, lagging, and worst of all my "Camera" App does not have an image At All ! ! !
The Flash options, HDR options, Timer options, will switch back and forth, but that is all that works, none of the bottom selections work at all,
and when you hit the front/back camera icon, it freezes /locks the options that did work. I have done a deep restore twice on the device,
restored as New Device, still no change at all on the behavior of the Camera operation. One thing I did find out though, it is a Glitch in the iOS
software, pertaining to the Cameras Operation, reason being, is that I can go into the preinstalled Game Center App on the iOS 8, click on Add Photo,
click on Take Photo, and there are my cameras, working perfectly, front & back. I have done a lot of research on this issue over the past two weeks,
Reading Apple's own Compatibility Devices which start at iPhone 4S and later for the iOS 8.0.2, But, If you go into the iPhone iOS 8.0.2 Operators Manual, go to camera section, you will see that there are several of the New functions of the Camera that are only compatible with iPhone 5 and later. Leaving the iPhone 4S not capable of executing the full capabilities of the New Camera App. I've chatted with Apple Online Chat Support for several hours two days ago, the only resolve they had was to send the device in or take it to an Apple Store and they would correct that issue "Free of Charge", even though ,my iPhone is 3 years out of warranty, because it is a Software related issue.... All I wanted to do is find a way to revert back to iOS 7.1.2, I found out very quickly, that is Impossible to do, because it violates Security Issues and Apples Terms of Agreement," Leaving them Not Responsible for any issues what so ever that occurs to your device downloading the iOS 8.0.2. . Which in my opinion, is pretty messed up. . What is the Big Deal of reverting back to any iOS you want, Apple should support every iOS version they have, not the users fault that a New iOS does not work right on their device, slowing it down, etc...I run Windows 7 on my PC, I can revert back to any OS I want, no problem at all.. . Anyways, back to iPhone issues, The other issues I got with the upgrade is that, My device will not power back on after I power it off now, I have to do a reset to get it to booted back up and running, and when I do so, there is a white halo that appears on my screen for several hours, then it will finally dissipate (no idea what that's all about), , Also, the battery life is much shorter now, had much better battery time on iOS 7.1.2 . . . Apple Support said that my Case was the first they have heard of, which surprised me.

Is anyone having a solution for this????? don't say that to sell the phone or upgrade it to the next version? I want to use this phone as it was a last gift given by one important person in my life and can't throw it away, please give me a solution.

Every time I try to restore my phone from the back up, after the update didnt work, its saying it cannot do this because it cannot start a session

I tried updating my phone, and right towards the end it said it could not update for whatever reason. So I restored it and updated it, and now it's not letting me restore it from my backup, even though it keeps asking if I want to.

Well, the problem isn't the back up because I already have a backup saved that I can restore from, I honestly don't know how, but I do, and it has all my apps. The problem is restoring it. I keep getting the "There was a problem downloading the software for the iPod "King". A duplicate file name was specified. With my 3G iPod touch, I did not have it named as "King". I had it as another name. I don't know if that helps, but as I said before, Backup-wise I'm okay for now. Restore-wise I'm not.
NOTE: Reinstalling iTunes doesn't help.
