Lync autodiscovery key is missing from our client computers, Lync prompts for Exchange credentials but cannot authenticate. What is causing the autodiscovery key not to be created or to be deleted?

W32Time/Config keys are missing from registry

We have 7 domain controllers and this one is the primary DC. All of the keys in the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\services\W32Time\Config folder are missing from the registry and we are getting this error when running the best practice
analyzer:
Issue:
The Active Directory Domain Services Best Practices Analyzer (AD DS BPA) is not able to collect data about MaxPosPhaseCorrection from the domain controller FCHC-DC1.
Impact:
The AD DS BPA will not be able to validate configuration data about MaxPosPhaseCorrection.
Resolution:
Troubleshoot the domain controller FCHC-DC1 to determine the root cause of the problem.
This DC fails to replicate with any of the other DC's...however other DC's will replicate to this one (all of our other DC's also have the keys in the config folder).

if this is your pdc emulator role holder you need to reconfigure the time service to use a trusted external time source
w32tm /config /manualpeerlist:timeserver /syncfromflags:manual
/reliable:yes /update
you need to use a time server which is close to your location, and your server needs to be able to communicate with it. Replace timeserver in the above command with the name of the time source you will be using.

Key mapping missing - MDM5.5 client

I have successfully imported Materials, when see the same in the client ( right click the material and edit key mapping ) key mapping field is missing . Kindly clarify me what could be the reason for the same.

Hi Alexander,
Just add to Ravi's detailed explanation, make sure that you chose the display fields accurately. For every one of your tables, figure out what field(s) make the record unique, and flag them as display fields. Make sure that key mapping is turned on, per the instructions.
Truncate the data you already loaded, and reload the data. While reloading the data using import manager, there are a couple of things you need to take care:
a) if you have one field as display field, then clone the source field data, map the original field to remote key on the destination pane, and map the clone to the field.
b) if you have 2 fields as display fields, either use partitioning or compund key option, and map the composite key to the remote key.

Multiple Key Puts derived from single Client Put

I have a use case where a storage disabled member performs a single put into a distributed cache and at the Cache processing level (based on certain logic) I may wish to add extra keys into the cache for this value all within the same synchronous put.
So client performs...
cache.put("key1","value1")
In the Cache layer...(Trigger, Listener, LocaCache override?)
value 1 == some test then ...
cache.put("key2","value1")
cache.put("key3","value1")
cache.put("key4","vaue1")
I've tried to implement this by extending a LocalCache (that acts as an internal cache store for a ReadWriteBacking Map) and intercepting the single put, performing my logic and calling extra super.puts with the new keys. However I fallen foul of exceptions where the member performing the operation is not the owner. This is despite KeyAssociation being implemented on the keys, so I assume that all operations should be performed by the same member? I have confirmed that all the keys conform to the association.
The exception string...
"An entry was inserted into the backing map for the partitioned cache "london/env1/type1" that is not owned by this member; the entry will be removed."
So my question to any kind soul out thre is....what is the safest way to implement this functionality?
I could perform the extra puts within the client, however I wish to shield this storage disabled JVM from the logic and perform it somewhere on a cache thread.
To add further complexity the code that performs the logic to decide whether or not to add extra keys must have access to a JDBC connection or CacheLoader possibly?

Hi Davey,
While your scenario is rather advanced and requires caution, it's definitely feasible. The only explanation I have for the "is not owned by this member" message is that your key affinity was not configured/written the way you intended. As a result, the internal map listener Coherence utilizes to "watch" backing map operations prevented this from happening. If your test case small enough to be posted here, I'd be happy to review it; otherwise I would suggest opening a corresponding service request.

Questions from our client...

We have just turned a printed brochure into a digital brochure that will be used be the clients sales team, it was not intended for distribution on the app store and was only going to be shared via Adobe Content Viewer.
Now the client has come back and made request that I think are simply not possible.
To summarize the improvement that MP pointed out:
-          Star rating system to rate each part (the SDM asks the colleagues what they think they have watched compared to the feature that the market already offer. Was it targeted right to a REAL consumer needs – 5 star – was it just fluffy laughy and nobody will care at all – 1 star)
-          Usage tracking (how long and often has a presentation been showed ? we want to make sure we give a weight to the star rating above as well as understand if something is underutilized for some reason)
-          Send the video picture or presentation via email
So they seem to be asking for some type of feedback form at the end of each section, could this be done with HTML, is so would it be able to send the contents of the form to be processed remotely.

Michaels suggestion is perfect for feedback. Re the sending by email? - you must be joking, its time to educate your client on operating systems and difference between a standard PDF and DPS and also touch technology versus mouse technology.
I recently created an interactive PDF to accompany the DPS app for those on standard desktops and android. Not as good but it fills a need and pacifies client. More work/more coin of course.

Dell missing from DHCP Clients Table

I just updated the firmware on my WRT54G v6 router to v1.02.0 After entering my previous settings the Dell that is connected to the router is not listed in the DHCP Active IP Table anymore. When I reset the router, the Dell shows up on the list but after setting up the router again it doesn't.

Hi… After setting up the settings did you connected the DELL to your wireless connection with the new settings. You need to manually connect to this network for the first time, even if the settings are same. Once connected the DELL would show up in the list.

The image is correctly referenced in the feed, is the correct dimensions and within the 500kB file size limit, so you've done your part correctly.
The iTunes Store can be flaky about images: it's not that unusual for a new image to take quite a long time to appear, or for an existing one to disappear for a time. I'm afraid there isn't really much you can do about it except wait for the Store to get its act together.
You could try emailing Support at podcasts 'at' apple.com but I'm afraid you are likely to get a form response telling you how to provide an image, which you already know.

Is it possible to work on the same files/catalog from two different computers?

My wife and I are photographers and work on two separate iMacs. We just purchased an NAS and would like to know if we can both access the same files AND the Lightroom catalog from our respective computers. All of the files are on the NAS but I can't figure out how to get her computer to recognize the catalog. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Another option, since you already have the nas, is to get something like "Synchronize! Pro X",and use the nas to transfer the catalog back and forth. You don't have to USB the catalog, just transfer it to the nas each time you are done, and before you start...
Of course, I think both solutions are based on you not editing at the same time... i.e., both of you are making changes, as neither approach will work for that!

Lync 2013 Autodiscovery Key Deleted when Lync is launched

Hi.
We are having an issue with some of our users overseas. They are using Lync 2013 on a computer that's essentially identical to the computers used across the organization. We are having trouble with EWS, so we are attempting to pre-populate the autodiscovery
key under HKCU\Software\Microsoft\Office\15.0\lync\~SIP~\. The key is being populated successfully, but when Lync 2013 is launched, the key is automatically removed. Why is this happening, and more importantly, how can we force Lync to always use the autodiscovery
key that we're creating so that EWS and other services function normally?

I wouldn't be too keen on editing the registry keys to remedy an EWS issue, feels too much like treating a symptom and not the root cause (of course I don't know the details of the issue).
Perhaps tell us about the EWS issue and we could assist in finding a suitable remedy.

Meetings created after some time start shoing up "re-created a meeting that was missing from your calendar" with no body information e.g. Lync meeting

My manager is having a problem. "randomly" reoccurring meetings in outlook will after some time start showing as this:
"Exchange 2013 re-created a meeting that was missing from your calendar"
With all the "meat" of the body is missing.
We are running Exchange 2013 SP1 and Outlook 2013. They look the same in OWA. Meetings can be from different senders, different times etc.
Any thoughts?

Microsoft have confirmed this is an issue with Exchange Online via the O365 Dashboard:
Current Status: Engineers have developed a fix and are currently testing to ensure successful remediation.
Customer Impact: Affected customers are experiencing issues with incomplete meeting information for a limited number of invites set to occur between the dates of August 7th, 2014 and September 12th, 2014. For the affected calendar invites, customers may see
meeting content replaced with a canned message stating, “Exchange 2013 has re-created a meeting that was missing on your calendar.” This issue is only affecting the body of the calendar invite for attendees, and not the meeting organizer.
Also, this does not affect the title, location, date and time, or the attendee list.
Workaround: As a workaround, customers can re-send affected calendar invites. Additionally, if the calendar invite contains Lync meeting information and the information does not appear in the message body, attendees may be able to use the ‘Join Lync Meeting’
button that appears in Outlook, Outlook Web App (OWA), and the mobile client to join the scheduled meeting.

Interesting tid bit. I created an AAC of the original file, deleted the original MP3 from my library and also deleted the Clean matched track from the icloud.
Result is that it matched with the explicit version of Mrs. Officer this time.
What I am curious about is which songs this is happening for. I've went thru a few batched of about 500 songs at a time and redownloaded in 256k for many tracks. Sadly we don't have people to bring this to our attention and I have so much music that it's impossible to go thru every song to make sure I am getting the right version.

.key.pem file missing from /etc/certificates

I purchased an authority certificate from one of the big names.
It's a wildcard cert for mail.domain, ical.domain etc that I want to setup.
I've downloaded the cert from the provider and imported it into Keychain via Server Admin. That side all looks great but the cert will not work with any services. They just hang.
Server log reports that cert.domain.verylongnumber.key.pem is missing from /etc/certificates.
I had a look and indeed it's not there.
.cert.pem and .chain.pem and .concat.pem are all present and correct. So where is .key.pem
Thing is, I was using a self signed cert before and that does have a .key.pem file in /etc/certificates and that works fine....

Solved.
Turns out that the Certificate supplier (Globalsign in my case) don't supply the private key in the right format for OS X Server to understand - which is probably standard practice.
10.6 Server requires the key in .pem format - mine was supplied as .pkcs12 (.pfx/.p12)
You need to use openssl in Terminal to convert it to .pem as follows
openssl pkcs12 -in mykey.pfx -out mykey.pem -nodes
Then it can be dropped into Certificate Manager in Server Admin

I know that to send the Report Folder from XMLP Folder in mail, but i dont want to do that because of security. so can we do any other report deployment in our client Environment, that to transfer reports from one Environment to another Environment? If yes could anyone please suggest me the process regarding this

Password key missing from Registry

I have a 3rd party application running in Windows2008 Server-Std SP2
where on each time this apps launched, It will read/update the registry file
which contains below info. This setting is required for a remote DB connection.
On each connection the password field will go missing from registry config which
requires need registry the regedit manually again. We have been running this
apps for a long time Windows 2000 & Windows2003 for a very long time.
