Lync dropped calls after 10 min

Hi,
I have a problem with calls dropping after 10 min ( during mute "on" ). If mute is "on" RTP packets will not flow from Lync server. Do you know how to force Lync to sent "empty" RTP packets during mute in enabled?
Our trunk provider is aware and has advised calls with any leg failing to send a RTP packet within 10 minutes the call will be dropped. This is set for all their customers and it wil not be changed.
Is there anything I can do from the Lync server such as send an empty RTP packet?
Thanks,
Donagh

Hi Guys,
Our provider is using a SONUS SBC1000 3.2.2v327.
This is the trunk configuration for the gateway in question:
I tried:
Set-CsTrunkConfiguration –Identity Global -EnableSessionTimer $True –RTCPActiveCalls $false –RTCPCallsOnHold $false
but only for the below gateway and not globally with no difference.

has anyone had trouble with dropped calls after downloading the IOS 7

I downloaded mountain lion and then iPhoto '11 in order to tap into iCloud capabilities with all of my devices. (My Mac was outdated in regards to operating platform to do this). After installing iPhoto 11, I had to repair and rebuild my library of photos.  However, after doing this, all of my albums were jumbled and, while I can see the image thumbnail, when I click on the thumbnail, and error that looks like a black triangle and gray exclamation pops up as opposed to the larger hi def image I want to view.

  • Iphone 5s lost LTE, 4g, weak signal. dropped calls after upgrading to IOS 8.1

i recently upgraded my iphone 5s to IOS 8.1 , after the upgrade i lost LTE and 4g, connectivity and stuck to 3g, i observed that my phone's got weker signal than before, i have intermittent signal during calls, and dropped calls. i did go to my service provider but they cant figure it out too, because i'm in an area which has a very good LTE signal and i only got 3g. so i use the apple support chat and i did all the tips and software restoration, i even restore my iphone twice as a new phone but got no good result. i hope apple inc. should issue first a warning on their softaware release updates. i'm so frustrated with my IOS device which i'm so proud.

Hi Restore  Back to Factory  Settings over your WiFi Go to Settings iCloud check last backup. Since ios 7 when you put your iPhone or charge it  Automatically backs up to iCloud After Restore just use same Apple ID  Then you will get your Apps & data back. Cheers Brian

  • Dropped calls after upgrade to iOS7 on iPhone 4S

After upgrading my 4S to iOS7 I am getting a lot of dropped calls. I never had it in iOS6. No carrier change (T-Mobile). Anybody else?

Its not the carriers its the IOS 7.0.2. I never had this problem until I did this darn update. Im getting mad and about to go back to the samsung. My hubby has the same iphone 4s but didnt do the update and has no problems. Apple needs to fix this fast or Im trashing this phone

  • Dropped calls after update

Ever since the recent update, my phone drops calls constantly. Also when I make a call, I can hear the person but they cannot hear me. I hang up and call again and then everything is fine.
Soooo frustrating I am ready to hurl the phone at the wall!

Same issue with me and most folks I talked to.
Seems that after upgrading to iOS 4 on my Gs and as well as now on my G4 dropped calls all the time.
Even 3G coverage keeps dropped. I've called ATT and they said there is no difference in their coverage in the area.
It's so frustrating after having good service for years and then after signing a new 2 year contract having a brick most of the time.
BTB, messages arrive hours later as well!

  • Dropped calls after call waiting tone

I have been getting intermittent dropped calls for the past month when receiving incoming call waiting tones. I reported it to comcast call center. They said they performed a remote test but I never saw any resetting of the modem take place. The agent said it must be the modem. I told her that the modem (DPC3141 - Triple Play) was 3 months old and the levels were almost perfect at the modem. The agent said she would send a tech to replace the modem. I felt that it was a canned response because she really didn't know what was wrong. I later cancelled the dispatch because I didn't feel it was a modem issue. Any one out there experience same symptoms? I live in Boynton Beach, Fl.

  • Dropped Calls. Whose Fault ?

Is this an Apple hardware issue or an ATT Network issue ?
I am CONSTANTLY getting sropped calls talking to my wife on a family plan.
Is this an Apple issue or an ATT issue ?
I have had sooo many problems with this phone that I have an appointment Saturday to swap it out for a new (at least that's what they said) phone.
I'm wondering if this will actually do anything.
My phone still has the same old problems (contacts lag, sometime text lag) but admittedly I have seen an improvement recently of the EDGE/3G issues. I have a stronger than usual 3G signal around my home. It may be that ATT have "lit up Astoria" as I have heard on other posts.
    Not sure what to do.
Do I swap it out, or wait for the next <groan> software update ?

What do you mean too many dropped calls?? I maybe drop 2 a week, but no phone is never going to drop calls. I had some issues when I first got the iPhone 3g but once I started doing a daily power off/on cycle I was fine. Cell phones do need to be turned off and on so they can reconnect with the towers and download over the air updates. Also a new sim card might fix the problem. I had the AT&T 8525 and it was dropping a lot of calls but we put a new sim card in and it fixed the issues. Hope this helps.
I moved here from the UK, and never, repeat, never, had dropped calls on my T Mobile or 3 service in the UK. For the past 2 years here in the US, I have had T Mobile service. I never, repeat, never experienced any dropped calls. I hardly ever had to reset my iphone. That is the honest truth.
Since joining ATT, a matter of several weeks ago, I have experienced dropped call after dropped call. Literally EVERY SINGLE DAY.

  • Network Extender Dropping Calls when handing off to Outdoor Network

If I stand right next to my network extender, it works great.  the moment I move outside a 15 ft ring, I begin to drop calls.  i believe it is because my Blackberry is now getting a stronger signal from the outdoor network and I should be handing off to outdoor network.  Instead of the call continuing, it drops.    Also, the same thing happens when I am on a call inside my house, get into my car and drive away; I drop the call.  I have called VZW Tech support and was told to power down the unit, yadda, yadda, yadda and call back if I still have the problem. Well, I still have the problem, so I am posting this in the hope someone has seen this and it saves me the hour long support call that doesn't resolve my issue...

I have the exact same problem with a Verizon/Samsung network extender that started dropping calls after about 30 seconds into a conversation. This problem started at almost the exact same time as those reported on this forum. Verizon has not once mentioned that it may be a problem on their end and we quit using the extender almost a year ago. However, with new smart phones in the household and multiple reception problems, we need to find a solution. I think Verizon owes its customers/supporters a solution since it sold the extender devices to the consumers at substantial expense. I for one, would like to either get my money back along with the time spent trying to rectify the problem, or get a solution that will allow us to carry on conversations in our home. It is ridiculous with the amount of money spent on monthly Verizon Phone bills, that we get such poor service - simply ridiculous!

  • Excessive dropped calls with full signal!!!

I have a 3GS and have updated to 3.1.2 I recall that one of the items addressed in this update was the dropped calls issue. Mine have been severely worse since the update. It is quite aggravating when the calls dropped are when I have full signal. I am not the only one I know with this particular issue. Is this being addressed?

The phone on the iphone is not the best. I live in Dallas and when the phone is on 3g it really is unusable. Just for grins I started a call log for a day. In my very unscientific experiment I dropped (or couldn't hear the person and had to call back) 76.6% of my calls when I 3g for the day. In my opinion, Apple or no Apple, this is unacceptable for any cell phone. I tried calling ATT to see if I could get some credit and they said no. I have taken the phone to the apple store and they said it was the network not the phone. I have restored the phone, reset the phone, updated the phone, and still nothing seems to work.
However, when the phone is in 2g it seems to work fine. Except the only problem with that is when you are searching the net, or checking email and someone calls you it won't ring. This a mild annoyance because at least when I do call or someone calls me I can talk to them and they can hear me.
The iphone is the worst cell phone on the market and best pocket computer you can buy.
    You decide.
