Lync Mobile client signs out - Error- IIS reset on Front End - WAS Errors

I have a very limited understanding of Lync dependency's & how to trace the issue I'm now seeing. Would appreciate any direction or information to assist.
We have Primary & Secondary Pools - both pools seem to be effected at different times. The Mobile Clients will error & not sign in until iisreset
is done on the effected Front End.
This issue has started a few weeks ago. Before that this has happened maybe twice in a year.
A few weeks ago we did move the FileStore location of the Primary Front End only (off a Siffs Application store to the local drive of the Primary Front End)– AV scan
exclusion was set for FileStore location.
Also some Windows 2008R2 patches were applied.
The Deployment Wizard has been rerun incase something was broken by MS updates.
The Window Event log is clean apart from:
WAS events: (1 to 4 are grouped)
5013 - A process serving application pool 'LyncUcwa' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was '24076'. The data field
contains the error number.
5011- The Windows Process Activation Service failed to generate an application pool config file for application pool 'LyncExtFeature'. The error type is '7'.
5189 - A process serving application pool 'LyncIntFeature' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was '17216'. The data
field contains the error number.
5011 - A process serving application pool 'LyncUcwa' exceeded time limits during shut down. The process id was '12520'.
The Windows Process Activation Service failed to generate an application pool config file for application pool 'LyncIntReach'. The error type is '7'. To resolve this issue, please
ensure that the applicationhost.config file is correct and recommit the last configuration changes made. The data field contains the error number.
Schannel: Same Error event happens twice within a few seconds
ID 36888 -
The following fatal alert was generated: 10. The internal error state is 1203.
ID 36888 -
The following fatal alert was generated: 10. The internal error state is 1203.
From What I’ve read SChannel doesn’t seem to be an issue.
Another set of WAS events:
5011 - A process serving application pool 'LyncUcwa' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was '19132'.
5011 - A process serving application pool 'LyncIntFeature' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was
'23876'.
5011 - A process serving application pool 'LyncIntReach' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was
'9876'.
5011 - A process serving application pool 'LyncExtFeature' suffered a fatal communication error with the Windows Process Activation Service. The process id was
'21804'.
5138 -
A worker process '6620' serving application pool 'LyncUcwa' failed to stop a listener channel for protocol 'http' in the allotted time.
5013 - A process serving application pool 'LyncUcwa' exceeded time limits during shut down.
Our Exchange UM started to generate errors recently but not sure if that’s a result of the iisreset for WWW Pub – but these events don’t match any timing of Front End events:

Hi Davej006,
Web sites and Web applications depend on the availability of Internet Information Services (IIS) application pools. IIS application pools in turn depend on the Windows Process Activation Service (WAS). If WAS is not running or errors occur
during the startup or shutdown of an application pool, Web sites and Web applications may not be available.
And based on my understanding, if some program works sometime and does not in other times, RAM is the problem.
You could refer to the following article to troubleshoot your problem.
http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/cc735271(v=ws.10).aspx
Hope it can be helpful.
Best regards,
Eric

  • Lync Mobile client signs out - Unknown Error- requires IIS reset on Front End

My Mobile clients are signing out on their own and do not sign back in until I reset the IIS on my front end server. i have a standard edition front end with IIS ARR as my reverse proxy.
Another issue that I have (this is sporadic) is that when a mobile device is connected to internal wifi it fails to sign and and the only way to get it back to work is to turn off wifi , sign in, and then you can turn on wifi and then it can sign in even
if wifi is on. This will work for sometime until the issue comes back again.
I would appreciate if anyone can help me resolve this issue.
    Thanks

    Hi,
Which version of IIS did you use? If you are deploying mobility, we recommend that you use IIS 7.5. The Lync Server Mobility Service installer sets some ASP.NET flags to improve performance. IIS 7.5 is installed by default on Windows Server 2008
R2, and the Mobility Service installer automatically changes the ASP.NET settings. If you use IIS 7.0 on Windows Server 2008, you need to manually change these settings.

  • Telephone numbers (officePhone and homePhone) are missing in a contact card in a Lync Server 2013-based Lync mobile client

In my opinion, the error has not completely fixed in KB2967628. After I install the latest November 2014 cumulative
update. I see the following behavior. User A searches for user B. User B never sign in to the Link. There are three fields in the active directory for User B: officePhone, mobilePhone and homePhone (these fields contain different numbers). When searching on
the mobile client (Android/IOS) for user B – as result user A see only mobile number. If User B At least once will go to Link (sign in) when his search will work, (find officePhone). If User B will change, the privacy settings for user A is in the search will
    be displayed homePhone field.
    On the Desktop client,
I can find all the fields without those actions performed in the example. If I make a request
to the service UCWA manually like this (below
    the text) before
actions, which I performed in example, I did not receive officePhone and homePhone – only mobilePhone field.
    GET "https://lync.domainname:443/ucwa/oauth/v1/applications/XXXX/people/search?query=$usename$&limit=200" -H "Content-Type: application/json" -H "Accept: application/json" -H "Authorization: $USENAMETOKEN$"

    Hi,
Based on your description, I’m sorry I’m a little confused about the following you mentioned. I understand the issue is we can only see the mobile number in the contact card on Lync mobile client and that we can search for users based on their office number,
we can see the home phone field in the contact card but there isn’t number showing. I anything I have misunderstood, please feel free to let us know.
“When searching on the mobile client (Android/IOS) for user B – as result user A see only mobile number. If User B At least once will go to Link (sign in) when his search will work, (find officePhone). If User B will
change, the privacy settings for user A is in the search will be displayed homePhone field.”
According to the KB29677628, this issue is caused by UCWA only sending the work number, and we need to install the update for web components server

Could you please run the following command to check if the web components server version is
    5.0.8308.738?
    Get-WmiObject

    Thanks for your help first.
I'm setting Lync 2013 server, all internal lan function are working fine, except mobile client.
I've setup edge, reverse proxy (using IIS), FE, BE server.
For IM between between desktop lync client, it is working fine.
For IM between mobile lync client and mobile client with desktop lync cleint, I found the following issue:
    - between mobile lync client and lync desktop client: The IM function is working sent between both party, no matter it is initial send from mobile or desktop client, but after a random period of time, may be 5 mins or 7 mins or 10 mins, the desktop client
will not able to send IM to the mobile client but the mobile client still able to send IM to desktop client.
    - for between lync mobile client
    the issue as above.
    - between desktop lync client
    no such issue found
I've trouble shoot this issue a lot but still can't the root cause?
    Do you have any idea?
    Many thanks for your help?
I know that when I testing using my mobile phone, my 3G network provider will continuous change my mobile ip address after a period time, does this behaviour will affect Lync server to find the mobile device?
are there any method will Lync server know what the mobile client status and ip address  that let Lync server can find the mobile device effectively?
    Patrick

I know that when I testing using my mobile phone, my 3G network provider will continuous change my mobile ip address after a period time, does this behaviour will affect Lync server to find the mobile device?
    Hi,
Would you please tell us which edition of mobile did you use (Android, IOS or Windows Phone)?
As IPhone and Windows Phone need push notification function but Android Phone doesn’t need.
If possible, you can test with two Android Phone to check if the issue happen with push notification function.
From your description above, it seems that you use 3G network on mobile to connect Lync mobile client. Please check if the issue cause by IP address of mobile, you can change network to a WIFI to have a test.
Also, please double check if the needed ports open as Edwin provided above.

  • Work flow from Lync client to Lync mobile client

    Hi,
How does call flow from Lync client to Lync mobile client happens , how sign-in happens?  how call flow both A/V happens and IM  happens...?
Please explain me i have some confusions.
    Thanks!!

The following blog describe Lync mobile call scenarios:

or if there is any similar method that can be used currently
    Regards.
    Best Regards Bisher Shbib

  • Sign in issue with Lync Mobile client

    Hi guys,
I'm trying to deploy a reverse proxy for mobile and external users, but I am having issues with the mobile client for android. It keeps saying "an unknown error occurred". Please try again.
I've got the log zip file outputted by the client here if someone could have a look and point me in the right direction? I've set
up server farms for the webservices, meet, and dialin.
Desktop clients can log in without any issue btw.

  • Can't sign out of iCloud on Yosemite. Mail was unable to delete 'email'.

I have a MacBook Pro running Yosemite 10.10.1 and I'm trying to log out of my iCloud account, but it won't let me. The error message I keep getting says,
"Mail was unable to delete 'email'. Relaunch Mail then sign out of iCloud again."  I get the same message if I try to delete the account from Internet Accounts.
I've tried adding the email account in, but it says it's already there. I've deleted the com.apple.mail folder rebooted and tried and still the same thing.
The supervisor and engineers at Apple phone support have yet to find a solution for this other than wiping my system clean and starting fresh. That's definitely not my preference.
Any help would be much appreciated!
    Thanks,
    Stacy

I had the same issue. I rebooted to safe mode by holding the shift key at boot up. From there I went to System Preferences, iCloud, and I was able to finally sign out.
    Hope this works for you.

    Muthu,
This issue usually occurs when the AM.class file is not available at the given location. Try to find out on the server whether this
    tflsm.oracle.apps.po.per.server.TflsmAM exists.
If still the problem persists then go for redeployement by deleting the existing one.

  • Missing file error when installing SAP Front End

When installing SAP front end, i am receiving following file missing error, please assist:
I am using Windows XP Professional
The SAP Front-End Setup has not successfully installed all selected components on your computer, either because a component could not be installed or the process has been aborted.
Click Finish to exit the wizard.
The following program files are missing on the installation source:
    c:\sapexport34567\others\sapgui620\gui\windows\win32\sapgui\filc\odbc\mscreate.dir
    c:\sapexport34567\others\sapgui620\gui\windows\win32\sapgui\xxl\saplotgr.gid
    c:\sapexport34567\others\sapgui620\gui\windows\win32\sapgui\xxl\saplotuk.gid
The installed applications may not function correctly until all program files are successfully installed. For detailed error descriptions, please open file://C:\SAPEXP1\Others\SAPGUI1\GUI\WINDOWS\WIN32\setup\saplogvw.exe .

    Hi Anand,
I would not care about those files, because they are unneccessary. mscreate.dir is a 0 byte file which just tells that microsoft has created this directory. The *.gid files are winhelp files that get created when you first use the help function.

  • Error while updating from front end

    Hi,
I'am using oracle forms 6i to connect to a table and i'am trying to update from the frontend, but i get an error saying the following,
'Could not reserve record( 2 tries )...'
what is the reason, is it because the record is locked???
and if so is there any way to find out whether a record is locked without trying to update and find it out??? kindly reply as soon as possible...
    Thanks And Regards,
    Vairavan.S

Yes.. This message comes when the record that you are trying to update is opened for update by another application or explicitly locked by some other user. So, whenever you try to update the record, the standard practice is to lock the row.
If you are able to lock the row then you can update it.
    Example :
    CURSOR emp_cur(p_emp_id NUMBER)
    SELECT *
    FROM emp
    WHERE emp_id = p_emp_id
    FOR UPDATE OF emp_id NOWAIT;
    l_emp_rec EMP_CUR%ROWTYPE;
When you open this cursor and fetch into a Record variable, it fetches the data if the record is not locked. Else it gives you NULL in record variable fields.
Use this if you are using a backend procedures to do operations on your record
    Cheers

  • Lync 2013 Mobile Client

have a test Lync 2013 onprem installation, everything works fine both from inside and outside, however the Lync Client for iphone does not function as supposed. I checked debug logs on all servers and see nothing that could cause the behaviour. The strange
thing is that for example IM is actually working, the problem is that it disconnects on every action.
So, the test scenario is as following
    - User 1 is logged on Lync Client on Windows 7 - LAN
    - User 2 is logged on on Lync Mobile on Iphone - public internet
User 1 sees presence of User 2
User 1 sends IM message to User 2 - no errors
User 2 successfully recieves the message - gets an error "Failed to process the server respons" and appears offline
User 2 signs out of Lync Mobile and signs back In- no errors
User 2 sends IM message back to User 1 - gets an error "Failed to process the server respons" and appears offline
User 1 recieves the IM message - no error
Any glues anyone? Where to look? I used debugging tools (S4 and SIPStack) both on Edge and FE and found nothing strange
    Thanks in advance
    Emin

    Hi,
Which kind of Reverse Proxy did you use (TMG or IIS ARR)?
Did the issue only happen to you or for multiple users?
Did the issue only happen for IPhone or for all kind of mobile clients (IOS, Android, Windows Phone)?
If the issue happen only for you, please try to use another mobile and test the issue again.
If the issue happen for multiple users, and only happen for IOS client, try to update to the latest version for Lync IOS client and test again.
If the issue happen for multiple users, and happen for all kind of mobile platforms, double check the configuration of Reverse Proxy ( certificate, port).
For WP8 root certificates need to have HTTP URLs in the CRL (Certificate Revocation List). If root certs doesn’t contain these CRL attributes than the certificate won’t be accepted by WP8 and sign in would fail.

Automatic discovery of the Lync server failed. Please verify the server requirements at
http://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?LinkId=278998 . Lync mobile apps do not require automatic discovery. You could enter the server FQDN manually and test connectivity again.
Microsoft Lync Connectivity Analyzer cannot analyze deployment readiness until a discovery test has completed successfully.

    Hi
Is that Port 443 opened? check the fire wall.
is that external Lync clients are logging in with out any issues.
by seeing the Log it is unable to connect on port 443
Unable to connect to the remote server ---> System.Net.Sockets.SocketException: An attempt was made

  • LYNC Federation - Internal Error on Verify Message by Lync PC Client.

    Hello all,
Recently I set a static route for SIP  "interdomain" Federation between Lync 2013 and other vendor PBX.
However I'm struggling with the Lync PC Client error message on validating the messages received by Lync FE. Lync Mobile Client or IPAD client don't have the same issue.
In the Lync FE logs I see that the Invite it's received by the FE and forward to the Lync PC Client. However the in the Lync PC Logs we see WARN message that verify message failed what result in abort of the incoming call on the Lync Client.
    Lync PC Client Log:

So they are two different errors here, in the Lync client PC failed to verify the message, and in the FE it fail to validate the ms-received-cid in the via header.
What indeed looks to exist a mismatch between "A600" to "AD00", looks the 6 was replaced by 6.I believe this headers are generated internally by Lync FE, not sure what is going wrong here for this mismatch.
Any expert could give a look and have an hint why this weird behavior of Lync FE.
    Thanks in advance,
    Regards,
    Claudio

    Hi,
From your description, it happened after the setting of static route. Please double check the route setting. Then publish Topology again, and run Step 2 Setup or Remove Lync Server Components on Lync Server Deployment Wizard.
