Lync2010 Mobile client, fail to sign out
Hi,
Has anyone seen this type of issue before ?
Lync2010 Mobile client on IPAD and iPhone push notifications are working, can sign in to client, -- however most times when i sign out- my presence is still showing.
has anyone seen this type of issue before with lync2010 mobile on Iphone/Ipad. User logs in , sign out but presence is still showing as available.

Did the issue also happen for Android or Windows Phones?
Please update to the latest version for Lync client on IPAD and iPhone and test again.

A few other things to note. In the RDS GUI it shows his machine as "stopped" even after refreshes. However HyperV has it running.Hi,
It may be helpful to compare the RDVH log with the connection broker's log to see if there are any clues. From your description it appears the RDCB's state is getting out of sync. For example, the broker thinks the VM is stopped when it is not.
Have you tried just restarting the broker service instead of the entire server? That may be enough to trigger it to refresh.

Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client Fails to Install
I've followed and contributed to posts about this problem here: https://supportforums.cisco.com/thread/2057631
But this problem isn't only isolated to 2.5 client, so I thought a new discussion might attract a bit more attention and feedback.
For 5 or 6 users when I try to install the client as new as version 3.0.11042 (any version, not just the newest) I get a failure:

Before it rolls back, I try to run the command manually which appears to do something, but doesn't fix the problem.
This is the step that is trying to install the service VPNVA, but it fails.
I have cleaned up all the files I know how (which registry entries might I also try?) and rebooted several times, but no luck.
The documented Cisco solution, and what i've been telling frustrated users one after another is "re-image your machine"
Does someone have an idea of what else I can try?Thank you.
The workaround works. Yes, using Windows 8.1.
An HOW TO on how to set this for everyone who is not that computer savvy...
1. Go to the Start Screen of Windows 8.1 and look for the Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client icon (or just type it on the Start Screen).
2. Right click the icon and select 'Open file location'.
3. Right click the Cisco Anyconnect Secure Mobility Client (Shortcut) and select 'Properties'
4. Select the 'Compatibility' Tab.
5. Check the box 'Run this program in compatibility mode for:' and select 'Windows 8' in the drop down.
6. Click 'OK' to close the window.
7. Log off and log on again (or reboot the computer).
Note to point 5. If there are multiple users are using the PC with different user accounts and they're using the Cisco Secure Mobility Client as well, then go to 'Change settings for all users' and there apply point 5. To do so you'll need administrative rights to the computer though. -
Deployment of Application on mobile client failing.

I have created a simple webdynpro application and uploaded it to the DOE via SDOE upload archive transaction. Created MCD then assigned it to my devices.After synchronizing from my client i am getting message as 'Error in installation' and on client trace i can see the message as 'deployment failed, unrecoverable error'. In the SDA file-> mcd.xml file i cannot see mbo_name,dependency,trans_guid etc.
could it be a problem?

A/V call goes through Lync Edge Server while IM doesn’t.

Lync Mobile client signs out - Unknown Error- requires IIS reset on Front End
My Mobile clients are signing out on their own and do not sign back in until I reset the IIS on my front end server. i have a standard edition front end with IIS ARR as my reverse proxy.
Another issue that I have (this is sporadic) is that when a mobile device is connected to internal wifi it fails to sign and and the only way to get it back to work is to turn off wifi , sign in, and then you can turn on wifi and then it can sign in even
if wifi is on. This will work for sometime until the issue comes back again.
I would appreciate if anyone can help me resolve this issue.

Which version of IIS did you use? If you are deploying mobility, we recommend that you use IIS 7.5. The Lync Server Mobility Service installer sets some ASP.NET flags to improve performance. IIS 7.5 is installed by default on Windows Server 2008
R2, and the Mobility Service installer automatically changes the ASP.NET settings. If you use IIS 7.0 on Windows Server 2008, you need to manually change these settings.

Lync Mobile client signs out - Error- IIS reset on Front End - WAS Errors
I have a very limited understanding of Lync dependency's & how to trace the issue I'm now seeing. Would appreciate any direction or information to assist.
We have Primary & Secondary Pools - both pools seem to be effected at different times. The Mobile Clients will error & not sign in until iisreset
is done on the effected Front End.
This issue has started a few weeks ago. Before that this has happened maybe twice in a year.
A few weeks ago we did move the FileStore location of the Primary Front End only (off a Siffs Application store to the local drive of the Primary Front End)– AV scan
exclusion was set for FileStore location.
Also some Windows 2008R2 patches were applied.
The Deployment Wizard has been rerun incase something was broken by MS updates.
The Window Event log is clean apart from:
WAS events: (1 to 4 are grouped)

Web sites and Web applications depend on the availability of Internet Information Services (IIS) application pools. IIS application pools in turn depend on the Windows Process Activation Service (WAS). If WAS is not running or errors occur
during the startup or shutdown of an application pool, Web sites and Web applications may not be available.
And based on my understanding, if some program works sometime and does not in other times, RAM is the problem.

Hi guys,
we created a custom WIM Image (Windows 8 Enterprise) with MDT 2012.
Sysprept the Image, Deployed via SCCM 2012 SP1.
Computers are Domainjoined. Error with standard Domain User.
On some computers (not every computer) and not with every user on the first logon following error message arises:
The Group Policy Client service failed the sign-in The universal unique identifier (UUID) type is not supported
It works, when you log in a second time but this error isn't very nice.
Is there a solution for that?

The service is responsible for applying settings configured by administrators for the computer and users through the Group Policy component. This issue can be caused by various reasons based on the computer environment.
Can you find any information in event log about this issue?

This is only happening when we use the original RTM ISO en_windows_8_1_enterprise_x64_dvd_2791088.iso
(without any software update), if we instead use the en_windows_8_1_enterprise_x64_dvd_2971902.iso the error is gone.

I am using windows authentication in my web application.
My requirement is to implement a sign out button which will sign out the user without having him to close the browser and application should not ask him to login again.
I tried following two options:
1. Redirecting the user to default signout.aspx page " /_layouts/15/SignOut.aspx "
2. Using "Sign In as a different user" URL " /_layouts/15/closeConnection.aspx?loginasanotheruser=true "
In first case, user is redirected to default sign out page but he can press "Go Back to Site" link to revisit the site. Another major issue is that the user has to close the browser to sign out from the application completely, which is not desirable
in my project requirement.
In second case, the the current user is signed out of the application but if the user has saved the password in browser, he gets signed in automatically to the application.
I also came across the solution where we replace the default sign out page with a custom sign out page, but I am not sure whether it can be implemented using JavaScript Client Object Model of SharePoint.Hi

I have just moved from Mobile Me to iCloud and while it seems that the transfer was completed, the Mobile Me window " Finishing move to iCloud..." is in a loop. Closing it is not allowed, nor stopping it or signing out. Any tips how to solve this? Shuting down the Mac and restart? Is something unfinished?
That option has been there since day one. Nothing new. You just noticed it is all. Not everyone needs to worry about others accessing the computer, and that option just makes things a little easier. Also, the access is not open permanently.

I only wish I were more up to speed on all of the security technology. I will contact the network administrator and pass your request to him. I will let you know the results (probably later today).
Here is a little background on this issue (optional reading). All clients worked fine up until around the end of September 2013. Then, a rash of Windows updates came along. Around Sept. 20th, I noticed I could no longer connect using the VPN. So, I uninstalled (Mobility Client) but was not able to re-install as the https://site was not longer able to be reached. I got the standard Microsoft 'Diagnose Connection Problems'. So I manually installed the 'Mobility Client' but only get errors. However, I'm only guessing at the 'AnyConnectProfile.xml'. I may have the settings all wrong. Don't know.
We also noticed that all of our Windows 7 clients work fine. None of the Windows XP clients work any longer. I figured it was 'time to upgrade' all of our Windows XP clients.
