Lyrics on ipod touch: newline character?

Is there a newline character for lyrics to allow me to separate stanzas when displayed on ipod touch?
Right now all the lines (and thus stanzas) are running together.

Step by step:
In iTunes, have you added the lyrics to each individual song and in the lyrics tab of the song?
If you use Sync to manage your iPod, have you then Synced your iPod after adding the lyrics?
If you manually mange the iPod, you need to remove the album from the iPod and then add it back again (with the lyrics)
If you still have no luck, then if you use Sync, try typing anything into the lyrics field of any song. Then after a Sync with the iPod, check that song. When you can see the scrubber bar (with the time), you should be able to see the text you typed.
If you manually manage the iPod, remove one song from the iPod, add some text to that song and then add it back onto the iPod and play it. Can you see the lyrics now?
If none of that works, perhaps the iPod need a Reset or a Restore.

  • Viewing lyrics on iPod Touch

I've added lyrics through the song info option on iTunes and synced my iPod touch. I know the manual says to tap the album cover while the song plays - and apparently along with the scrubber bar, the song's lyrics would appear.
Hasn't happened, does anyone know why?

When you say it doesn't happen, do you mean that the lyrics AND scrubber bar (and shuffle/repeat options) don't show up, or everything but the lyrics shows up?

  • Lyrics on ipod touch? I did the computer part

i already put the lyrics in on my computer but when i go to the song (disconnected from the comp) i don't know how to get them to show
everything i've read is about the ipod nano but i need to know how to get it to show on the 4th gen ipod touch! Thanks!

Place the iPod in Recovery Mode and then connect to your computer and restore via iTunes. The iPod will be erased.

  • Lyrics in Ipod Touch ???

I've used lyrics to learn english. And now ??? Where are the song lyrics ???

I was also very disappointed when I heard that the touch doesn't display lyrics. But I'm pretty sure that in February, once the touch gets SDK, it would be able to display song lyrics. Until then... I don't see anyway to view the lyrics via the touch.

  • How to bring up lyrics on Ipod Touch 2g / version: 4.2.1

i followed apples instructions and copied and pasted lyrics to songs on my itunes under getinfo/lyrics. I then synced my ipod and properly disconnected it from my computer. I played the song on the ipod and double clicked the screen like your supposed to (& tried other methods) but it wont let me see them it keeps bringing me to the list of songs on the album.
Why isnt it working, am i clicking the ipod wrong or is it something else ?

I too have a ipod 2g here. I have already went into the info for the song and added my lyrics. When opening the song in the ipod with the album artwork in the background, I click on  artwork and nothing happens, I tried clicking on the bar at top but that is no help. Clicking once on artwork is not working. If you are posting help here make sure you have tried it or seen it work on a 2G IPOD, because consider that they are OLDER.
If any one has any help for this please post.

  • Getting Lyrics for iPod touch

I wanted to get the lyrics for a song. I have it onboth my ipod and my computer. I went on google, got the lyrics,  pasted them into the lyrics section of "get info", and dragged the song onto my ipod. For some reason, when I tapped the song while it was playing on my ipod, it didn't show the lyrics. Does it have something to do with me already having it on my ipod or did i do someting wrong?

Maybe it's because the games are made to utilize the click wheel? There aren't any games for the iPhone either right?

  • Is it possible to put japanese character lyrics on my ipod touch?

I already know how to add lyrics to songs in my iPod touch, the problem came when I tried to add lyrics with japanese characters (Hiragana/katakana/kanji); when I check it with iTunes (through my PC) it looks normal but when I try to read them with my iPod they became weird characters, I already tried to change iPod language (settings) to Japanese, yet the problem persists, in theory Japanese charactrers ar supported since if they are in the song titles I can see them well, it's just in the lyrics option that don't get displayed.
    Any suggestions?

    No.

  • IPod Touch is having a problem with a single character!?

I've tried to login to many websites over safari since I bought my iPod Touch, and until then, it was the very only thing that made my frustrated! I was never able to login to any web sites, always getting a login/password error.
I was thinking that maybe the exclamation marks in my passwords where problematic, but no. So I started to replace every character of my usual passwords to find that...
If I have a zero ("0") character in my passwords, it never works! Any idead!? I hope this thread can serve as a bug report!

I'm using the Zero ("0") character.
And as a matter of test, I did change every single password I could use on the net via iPod Touch, to something containing only letters, the number 3 and exclamation marks and everything works fine.
Thus, a friend of mine did told me he was using a password via facebook that contained some zero (0) character. This is puzzeling me much!

  • I have an iPod touch, with iOS 5.0.1 I have manually added lyrics and album covers on iTunes, but they aren't syncing over.  Why?  How do I fix it?

I have an iPod touch that I bought recently, and have updated everything to the iOS 5.0.1 version.  I have checked my music settings, and it has Lyrics and Podcast Info "ON".  I have manually added the lyrics to several songs, as well as album covers, and neither one are transferring over to the iPod touch when syncing.  How do I go about fixing this?  I have double checked all the settings I can think of to get this transferred over.  I have even double-checked the online manual to make sure where I would even find the lyrics, and how to get to them...yet....nothing.

I didn't realize I had to delete everything and sync again.  WHEW!  Thank you so much.  That worked.

  • Ipod touch lyric syncing glitch, any work-arounds?

I have an iPod touch and for quite a while I've been using iTunes for music.
I've noticed that the lyrics sync, but if the song had lyrics during a previous sync, the lyrics don't change on the iPod when I sync them again.
On iTunes, the lyrics ARE changed, both in my library and on the list of music on my iPod, but the lyrics haven't changed on the iPod.
Are there ways to fix this?
I have tried deleting and replacing lyrics, resetting iPod (Which I will not do again), and even triple syncing after each change to the lyrics.
This glitch/bug is a nuisance because it means I can only change the lyrics once; and only if it didn't already have lyrics.
Also, is there any "bug report" here on apple.com?
I've noticed that the only time I can talk to apple representatives (they don't answer the communities too often) is over the phone, which is extremely inconvenient if you don't have the time to stay on the phone for a few hours trying to snipe a simple error. Especially when you take into account re-installing and updating software to fix issues.

I solved my problem, here's the steps for anyone who stumbles upon this:
    1. Correct/add lyrics through iTunes on your computer
    2. copy lyrics
    3. Delete song from your iPod and iTunes music library (click "Keep File" in iTunes)
    4. Sync your iPod to iTunes
    5. Go to File>Add File to Library
    6. Locate the song you removed and double click on it
    7. Download artwork (optional)
    8. Add lyrics (you should have it copied, so just paste them in)
    9. Sync your iPod
    10. Refresh the Music app by closing it (in the multitask bar) or changing songs
    11. enjoy singing along with your song(s)

  • IPod touch + lyrics?

Is there a way to display lyrics on the iPod touch? I know that you can enter lyrics in iTunes and view lyrics on other iPods.
Also, if there is a way to view lyrics, does anyone know how?
    -David

Currently the ipod touch does not support lyrics on the touch. It is available on other ipods yes but not on the touch currently. I have found no way to display lyrics either. I would recommend you leave feedback..

  • IPod touch 1st gen lyrics missing

I've been manually inputting song lyrics without any problems for about a month now. A couple of days ago, I synced the device, which seemed to happen much more quickly than usual. Today, I noticed that none of lyrics show up on my device. They are visible in iTunes in the Get Info section for each song, but have somehow been wiped off my iPod touch. I just did another sync, but the lyrics won't upload. What can I do to restore them? I know for certain that I haven't changed any of my iTunes settings.

Go to iTunes, and then go to "About iTunes". If you're using version 9.1.1 (11) you may need to download the newest version here http://www.apple.com/itunes/download/ and install it. This update won't show up in Software Update, so you'll need to download it directly from the website.

  • WiFi not working with 2G iPod Touch (2.1.1)

I just sold my 1st gen iPod touch on craigslist and got 2nd Gen. What a disappointment so far. It will not connect to my WiFi router using WPA/WPA2 encryption. I searched forums and found other people here having same issues. Someone suggested to do a Network Reset on the iPod device. It helped, I got connected only to be disconnected after iPod was turned off. Second reset didn't do anything. I can't connect now. My previous iPod worked just fine, laptops can connect without any issues. Now it only works if I completely disable wireless security leaving network open to anyone. My router is D-Link 4300. I'm a system engineer btw. I'm hesitant of calling support, since I only get one free call... Does it mean I have to buy a "compatible" router now? I hope it's just a firmware issue and will be fixed ASAP. Apple please respond.

I feel fortunate. I have WPA2 encryption and the 2G touch with 2.1.1 works like a champ. I do have an all alpha-numeric key, though. I wonder if that is the correlation.
If by "alpha-numeric" you mean a jumbled string of letters and numbers, as opposed to using a passphrase--well FWIW I'm using WPA-PSK with a 63-character passphrase (the phrase just so happened to be 64 characters long, so I got rid of the 64th character), and I have no problems getting my 2G IPT to connect to my wireless router.
