M-Audio Oxygen8 v2 25-Key Mobile USB Controller?

can anyone tell me if I need a midi interface with this controller?
M-Audio Oxygen8 v2 25-Key Mobile USB Controller
I am new to the midi thing (im actually guitar player).
Does anyone have any feedback about this controller? Would you recommend a different one in the same price range?
Thanks

if it's USB, then you don't need an interface.
Check M-Audio's web site to make sure it will work on your System, if it needs a driver, etc. If it works on a Mac, it will work in GB.

Yes. You either use Logic's direct Korg controller support, or program your own assignments to do what you want.

  • Internet Audio will no longer Play Through USB Output to hi-fi Amplifier & Speakers

My audio output jack on my Mac G4 is broken. I have been taking audio out of the computer by USB into a device that converts the audio so it can be used with a traditional amplifier and speakers. This presently, still works fine for audio or audio/video sources that are stored on my hard drive.  Yesterday, I was looking at a youtube video embedded on a non-youtube site. Both audio and video were working fine. Then the audio stopped working. I went to the youtube site and no audio worked there either. I have tried myspace and other sources with audio/video, but no longer will audio from the internet, play on the USB system.  Any player on the hard drive will produce audio through the USB port to the amplifier system. If I switch the Mac OS X.4.11 system preferences to select the internal speakers for the output destination, I can get audio from the internet again. Then everything from the internet or the computer plays through the internal speakers. I have Safari and Firefox Browsers. I need to be able to play music from the internet through the USB port to my amplifier and speakers. One suggestion I researched was to trash the Macromedia preferences and then restart the browser. I tried that to no avail. Hopefully, somebody out there knows what happened and can tell me how to fix it.

    Hi BD,
Thanks for saving me. And thanks for responding so quickly. Your answer was there when I got up. For me 48 hours was a long time to go without that function.
I had seen one reference to the audio midi setup app and had looked at it but somehow only saw the midi devices dialog box which I had dealt with in the past. After your post I went back to it and I immediately discovered that there is also an audio devices dialog box.
From the drop-down menu I selected 44100.0 hz int the format field on the output (right) side of the dialog box.
Also the Default Ouput and the System Output fields had built-in audio selected instead of iMic USB audio system. I used the drop-down menus to switch them back.
So watching the youtube video imbedded on a non-youtube site must have changed those settings.
Any idea why that would have happened?
Now, I'm wondering if the little iMic USB audio system which converts the digital signal to analog line level out is actually a little midi device? Well, maybe not since there is no midi plug involved. I have seen that setting (44.0 Khz) relating to CDs I think. I'm guessing that 44.0 Khz and 44100.0 hz are very close to being exactly the same thing.
So does 44.0 Khz = line level (analog audio)?
Anyway, BD, Thanks again for solving my problem and doing it so quickly. What a relief!
Have a great 4th of July holiday weekend,

  • Unified Mobility, no audio on Send call to Mobile Phone

I'm using UCM 9.1 with Unified Mobility (xfer to alternate number) with good success if I follow a typical call flow:
Inbound call -> Ext -> Rings deskphone x seconds -> Rings mobile phone -> Answer mobile phone -> hangup -> Resume call on desk phone.
But if I pick up a call on my desk phone, and use the Mobility button to xfer a call to my mobile phone I get no audio:
Inbound call -> Ext -> Pickup desk phone -> Mobility soft button, 'Send call to Mobile Phone' -> Answer mobile phone, no audio -> Hang up mobile phone -> Resume call on desk phone (two-way audio).
Device wise the call flow is:
ITSP SIP trunk -> CUBE -> CUCM -> 7965 IP Phone.
Recently I reconfigured CUCM to use the CUBE for any MTP resources instead of the software option and I think I may have missed something.
    CUBE config:

Not sure where to start troubleshooting this problem, any help is appreciated.
    Steve

Thanks for the help gents. I couldn't get to this until we're out of office hours on the weekend.
Interestingly, I have no mid-call option in my dial-peers. This is a 2951 running 15.2(4)M2.
I double checked the MRGL, my phone is associated with it.
Codec is G711 on ITSP side, and on phones - I'm not sure I fully understand the use cases for MTP, this is something I need to research more.
I've included two ccsip message debugs, the first one is the existing issue of no audio (in either direction).
The second I've changed the midcall-signaling passthru option, dropping the media-change bit and we get audio in both directions for mobility except we use Unity call handlers for IVR functionality, and now when an inbound caller is forwarded to an extension we get no audio - obviously this is a game stopper.
In Unity I have the port group configured as SCCP - Maybe I should be using SIP instead?
    No Audio:
    voice service voip
    sip
      midcall-signaling passthru media-change
      early-offer forced
      no call service stop
      registration passthrough

  • Macbook Pro + Virgin Mobile USB Modem + WiFi Time Capsule = No Internet :(

Helping a friend with this. Can connect to Internet OK w Virgin Mobile USB modem. When he then connects to Time Capsule via WiFi, the Internet stops working. Turn off WiFi and it starts working again.
I looked at the routing tables and both interfaces are set as default. I disabled default on the WiFi interface but had no effect. Here is the output of the netstat -rn command. If anyone has any insight it would be appreciated.
    Internet:
Destination        Gateway            Flags        Refs      Use   Netif Expire
    default            68.28.49.71        UGScI          10        0    ppp1
    10.0.1/24          link#5             UCS             8        0     en1

    169.254            link#5             UCS             0        0     en1

What's the ordering of the interfaces in System Preferences : Network? My first guess would be it's favouring the wifi by default so you will need to change the ordering.

solved whith the old driver vom archive of vendor: "DMX6Fire_USBMac.1.00c.dmg" thats for 10.5.x for me works.
The newest from the vendor delivered driver 1.22 (marked for 10.5 and 10.6) seems to not work under 10.5.

  • How can i download a mobile usb driver?

My hard drive recently crashed and I have had to redownload everything. I have downloaded itunes, but when I try and hook up my ipod it says I need an apple mobile USB driver. How can I download that driver?

You can either use the manufacturer-supplied driver or NI-VISA to control your USB device but not both. If you have installed your device, each time you plug it in the FTD2XX.inf will associate your device with FTD2XX.sys. Then, you can use FTD2XX.dll to talk to your device using the call library function node. The DLL usually contains a whole bunch of useful functions that someone else already designed to talk to your device. This is the easier route and I would recommend it if you already have the DLL and the installed driver.
The second method would be to uninstall or disable the driver for your device and create an .inf file with NI-VISA Driver development wiazard. This .inf file will tell Windows to use VISA as your device driver. You will, however need the vendor and product ID of the device to use VISA as your driver. The details of this are outlined in the NI document "Using VISA 3.0 to control your USB device."
The drawback of this method is that VISA is just an API to talk to your device and you have to implement the communication protocol to talk to your device. This might take some time to do.
This is why I recommend the first method. Someone else already implemented the driver for your and you just have to use the functions from the dll to implement your application.
    Hope this helps.

  • Photos on G Drive Mobile USB Problem

A couple years ago I transferred photos from iPhoto to a GDrive Mobile USB for storage. Today when I tried to access them I get an error and none of them will open. Is this because I am running a newer version of iPhoto now? If so, how can I access them now on my MacBook Pro? OSX 10.9.1

You have old iPhoto libraries on that DDrive Mobile?
How is the EHD formatted?  It should be OS X Extended (journaled).
What version of iPhoto created the library?
What version of iPhoto are you running now?
What error message do you get?

  • Imac using mobile USB modem; PC connects but won't open webpages?

Using a Clear 4GB mobile USB modem on my iMac for internet; My wireless PC with the Clear Connection Manager installed gets connected with a strong signal, but then will not connect to any website. Used the PC connection wizard stuff until it got to usual pc deep mumbo jumbo, not helpful, I'm NOT a PC guy.
Any plain English suggestions would be most welcome! Clear wants to sell me another $140 device to share the wireless with other devices, no way.

What modem script or software has Clear furnished you? In as much as you are paying them for the modem and the service they should be making sure you connect. In my experience the modem is usually furnished free for a two year service contract.

  • No Apple Mobile USB Driver in Device Manager

I have tried to reinstall Apple Mobile Device Driver, but when I follow the necessary step to scan for hardware changes the Apple Mobile USB driver doesn't appear. (for reference: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1538) I am trying to get an Iphone 5 recognized by Itunes. It still pops up in My Computer and Autoplay (images mostly). But I would like to back up this Iphone 5. Please help, thank you.

  • USB Controller

I've just bought myself a copy of ezdrummer with the DFH expansion pack but need to get myself a usb controller.
From your experiances, is drum triggering better with a specific drum trigger device such as M-audio's Trigger Finger (or something similar) or just go for a usb keyboard?
I know most keyboards are velocity sensitive now but would a synth action/semi weighted action be more velocity sensitive?
I've borrowed a friends M-audio Oxygen8 keyboard to try out but i'm finding it quite hard to get any subtle hits.
    Any advice is welcome
    Many thanks
