  • Receiving PO and Invoicing out

i have 10,000 serial items where all serial numbers are in excel sheet is there any easy method where i can copy and paste those serial numbers in one shot and at the same time while invoicing out just copy and paste all those serial numbers from excel sheet.
is there any easy method or can you give me some suggestions for this.

    Hi...........
When you receive the stock and if your item is managed by Serial No. on every transaction then it will pop up Serial No. creation window and you have to define it. In this window just below you have a button called Automatic Creation. When you click on this it will open a small window where you have to click on the button just infront of serial No. This will ask you to put the sring as well as no. in ascending or descending order.
This way you can create Serial Nos. Automatically.
If the item is managed on release only then you have to create serial nos from Inventory> Inventory Management> Serial No. Management.
Here also same automatic creation of nos. happen.......
Try this once Hope this helps you...........

  • Cannot send/receive Fax through Windows Fax and Scan

Having a problem with Windows Fax and Scan on Small Business Server 2011 Standard SP1.  When I call the fax number, I can see the line ringing in the Fax Status Monitor, but it errors out with "The incoming call cannot be answered as a fax
call".  I've also tried sending and receive an error: "No dial tone was detected"  I've connected a regular phone to the line and placed an outside call and received a call from an outside line.  No errors are logged in Event
Viewer, but If I check the Server Roles, Fax Server shows Event ID 32092, 32032 and 32031
Troubleshooting so far has consisted of:
    Restarting Fax service
Removing/Readding the Fax Account in Windows Fax and Scan
Checked Print Spooler and Fax queue for held documents to clear (none)
Uninstalled/reinstalled the fax modem in Device Manager
Run Windows Update(several security updates pending)
Checked the DeviceToMonitor key in HKCU to HKLM\Software\Microsoft\Fax\UserInfo matches the DeviceName key in HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Fax (at one point it did not match)
Removing/Readding the Fax Role.  In the process, also removing registry keys: HKLM_SOFTWARE_MICROSOFT_FAX, HKCU_Software_Microsoft_Fax, HKLM_SOFTWARE_Microsoft_Windows_CurrentVersion_Telephony_CountryList, HKLM_SOFTWARE_Microsoft_Windows_CurrentVersion_Telephony_Locations.
At one point or another, I have already reviewed the following links:

On current situation, please refer to the following steps to troubleshoot. Then check if can find more clues
and help us to solve this issue.
Please verify if the incoming fax can be received from other fax machines.
For modem, please temporarily reduced the speed to 4800bps for the Fax software.
    Please increase the
Rings before answering value for the fax device to 2 rings in Shared Fax Service Manager.
Just for a test. Would you replace the old modem with a new one? Then monitor the result.
    Hope this helps.

  • Automate receiving a fax and creation of PO thru SAP

    Hi SAP Gurus,
I have a typical problem. I want to receive the Purchase Order thru fax into SAP. Convert it to text, read it and then automatically create a PO in SAP.
The process of receiving the fax and converting it into text can be done using a 3rd party process. But then SAP should be able to retireve this text from a text file and create a PO by itself.
    A solution is desparately sought.
    Thanks & regards,
    Madhur

You should see the text file and then check if logic can be built to read and understand the text file using ABAP program.
e.g if the data is at a definite position in the text file or you can use pattern search to find the data.
The idea is that your program should be able to read and differentiate the PO data of text file ..like material, qty , amount etc.
You need to write an ABAP program which can be scheduled to run at regular intervals.
This program will read the text data from the file and convert it into the data required in BAPI BAPI_PO_CREATE ( or BAPI_PO_CREATE1)...Then call the BAPI to create POs.
    Cheers,
    Ram

  • Fax and Voice use same DID - SIP/CUBE

Is there any good way to have inbound Fax and Voice calls use the same DID?
I know there used to be a Fax Onramp TCL script, but I thought that was for TDM circuits (T1-PRI).
In this scenario, the PSTN comes from a SIP provider to a CUBE router. The provider does support T.38.
Call flow is: Remote Fax machine -> PSTN -> SIP Provider -> CUBE ->SIP -> CUCM (or Fax server.)
Ideally, I would like to send Fax calls directly to a 3rd party Fax server without going through CallManager (using dial-peers).
I'm hoping there is some secret SDP message that says "This is a Fax call, route me to the Fax server".
    Thanks, Randy

    Hi Stephan,
there are several timeouts and timings on voice ports which you can try out to "speed up" your disconnect but from my experience fax machines have an internal timing they need to get ready again - for example it needs often ~30sec to make a second ingoing fax after receiving the first one. For outgoing faxes the machine has usually a buffer where it stores the pages till the line is ready again. So it depends on the type & brand of fax machine you use, doesn't it?
Notice that some timeouts don't work since you control them with UCM (eg. ringing timeout => should be no answer config on line configuration)
    show voice port 2/0:
Initial Time Out is set to 2 s
Interdigit Time Out is set to 10 s
Call Disconnect Time Out is set to 60 s
Supervisory Disconnect Time Out is set to 750 ms
Ringing Time Out is set to infinity
Wait Release Time Out is set to 30 s
Hookflash-in Timing is set to max=1000 ms, min=150 ms
Hookflash-out Timing is set to 400 ms
Furthermore I would suggest you to use actual 12.4(24)T release since i hade several problems with the 12.4(25c).

  • Windows Fax and Scan, can we label incoming faxes?

    Hi all,
We are using Windows Fax and Scan in our small business and it works great EXCEPT that I cannot figure out
how to add a description to received faxes to make them easier to access later
We can do this with outgoing faxes, but cannot see where to do this with incoming faxes
    any thoughts?

    Hi Chry,
No, there is no method to add the description for the received fax. You only add the flag "mark as read /mark as unread".
I could read the subject to know the synopsis. Furthermore, the Preview pane also could let you read the first page of the fax.
    Click View-> Preview(marked), Add/Remove columns-> choose "Subject" to displayed columns -> OK.

  • Fax queue not being shared by default and faxing in 10.6 Server

I have done some testing of 10.6 as a print server and am trying to figure out how to serve the fax queue. We use the Apple USB modem. It will both send and receive faxes at the server as expected. 10.6 has resolved the issue that surfaced in 10.5.7 where we had to choose between sending or receiving.
In 10.4 and 10.5 creating the fax queue was essentially enough to have the queue be available to other clients on the network. In the CUPS web admin interface the fax was shown as "published" by default after the queue was created.
Changing up to 10.6 brings a change to the default behavior. By default the CUPS web admin interface now shows "not shared" for the fax queue. Of course, clients are no longer get the FAX as a printer option.
I have attempted to change the queue within CUPS web interface directly but the change queue procedure, which appears to allow a change to "shared," stalls at the point where we have to select the Fax PPD file since it is not in an obvious location.
Does anyone know where the default fax PPD file resides?
Next I tried to edit the CUPS configuration files for available printers and manually change the fax to shared. On restart of CUPS the setting went back to not shared.
I am going to submit this question to the CUPS forums and see if I can make headway there. There was a moderator who was helpful with getting printers shared out in Mac in the past.

I have some answers to faxing and serving a fax queue on 10.6 Server as of 10.6.1.
First, create the fax on the server as we have been in the past by creating a document and going to the print dialog and selecting Fax PDF from the bottom right corner button. On attempting the fax, the server automatically creates the fax queue with default settings. My queue was called External Modem. We can both send and receive faxes on 10.6 (this was broken in 10.5.7 and 10.5.8) and is still not fixed in 10.5.x as of this post. The queue and its settings for receiving can be found in the usual place in System Preferences on the server itself.
Sharing the fax queue has been a problem to set so far. With the assistance of Michael Sweet, Senior Printing System Engineer who moderates and contributes in the CUPS.org forums I have the following to help share the queue.
    In Terminal issue:
    lpadmin -p queueid -o printer-is-shared=true
where queueid is your queue name with spaces replaced by the underscore character. My queue was External_Modem. The fax queue can now be found by browsepolling the server for its printers. See http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?messageID=6964168&#6964168 for more on this. I believe that the fax may be served via bonjour but I am not currently looking at that specifically as I am trying to get it from multiple subnets.
    ====OR====
In Safari go to localhost:631 to open the CUPS system web interface. Select Administration tab at the top of the page > Manage Printers and select your fax queue from the list. In the right hand button labeled Administration choose Modify Printer. The admin software will guide you though the set up of the fax queue. Keep all settings the same except for checking the box indicating that the queue should be shared. Continuing through the steps I got to the point where a PPD file needs to be selected. This has always been a problem as the fax PPD does not reside with the printer PPDs. Michael indicated that the fax PPD resides here:
    /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks/PrintCore.fr amework/Resources/Fax.ppd
Select the Fax PPD and save the changes.
Again, your fax should now be shared.
I have tested both of these methods and both of them work and both will survive a server reboot. However, the shared setting WILL NOT survive if you restart the print service in Server Admin. The fax queue will revert to not shared if the service is restarted in Server Admin.
Once you share the printer DO NOT touch the print service in Server Admin and you should be able to keep the sharing on.
Michael indicated that he felt that the fax should behave like any other printer which would allow for control over sharing via Server Admin. He said he plans to look at it and see what he can see. In the meantime I will be submitting a bug report that this feature is needed and is being blocked by Server Admin. If anyone else is able to submit a bug report and wants 10.6 to handle the fax correctly; please do so, so that we can get Apple to look at this.
    Hope all of this helps.

  • Airport and Fax through DSL

    Hi
I would occasionally like to receive a fax through my computer. I would know ahead of time the fax was coming. I may or may not want to print the fax after I've viewed it. I have a dual G5 operating OS 10.4.10 connected to the internet through airport and an Actiontec DSL modem. I've read the help topics, fooled around a bit and searched various forums but I can't figure out if this is possible. Would it make a difference if I unplugged the ethernet cord leading from the DSL from the Airport and plugged it directly into the computer when I knew a fax was coming? If it's possible how would I set it up? Would I have to somehow disconnect from server to do it?
    Any help is appreciated,
    Ray

The AirPort Express (AX) has no ability to receive or send FAXes. None of Apple's base stations have that ability.
Connecting the DSL Ethernet output of the DSL modem to your Mac won't work. The Mac's FAX software is expecting a FAX to come in via analog telephone line.
You might want to check out an internet FAX service like eFax.

  • Faxing and MBP

I need to send a fax, but I just realized that I have to buy the silly USB Modem interface to hook up the phone line. OK, so if I fork out the $49 for it, will I be able to send faxes, or will I have to get some sort of software, too? Any suggestions on how to set this up easily would be most appreciated.

This isn't about setting up the USB modem, but rather about an alternative way of faxing. I use this website: http://www.fax1.com/
to fax. I have an account, from which I can upload my documents to fax, and there's a small fee for the fax itself. I use only the basic service so there's no monthly fee. I believe it's possible to receive faxes too. I've used it several times with no problems, and the support team is very responsive.

  • Is it possible to network a AIO Printer and use the Scanner and Fax on all computers.

I have a small network on a Peer to Peer. I have a non network printer. HP Deskjet 3050. Currently the printer and applications for Fax and Scan are installed onto two workstations. One computer has the printer directly connected via the USB. This system is sharing the printer on the network as a host.
The other computers are printing from the share without error but I cannot scan or fax with the "client" workstations. I receive an error indicating the printer is not connected. My question is: Is there any possible way to share the Fax/scan feature throughout the entire network?
I thought of purchasing a Network "Print-Server" but have heard they don't work and I need to buy a "Network Printer".
Any help and advice would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks!

I don't think there is such thing as scan sharing in Windows.
Why not just buy a wireless printer?  I'd recommend that way more than a wireless print server (which don't support scanning, only printing - as far as I know).
Say thanks by clicking "Kudos" "thumbs up" in the post that helped you.

  • Setting up fax and voicemail on same phone line.

I have one phone line with voicemail and fax.  How do I set up the fax so voicemail doesn't pick up my faxes and the fax doesn't pick up my voicemail messages?  I have the fax and phone going through a splitter.  I just discontinued my separate phone line I used for faxing and internet and want to use a single phone line for everything.  Thanks in advance for any suggestions.  Auntalee

If you have Verizon Home Voicemail (the kind you access by dialing a phone number i.e. no answering machine) I can't see how it would work.
Some fax machines can answer the phone listen for the fax tones and if it doesn't hear them it rings another phone or answering machine connected to it.
It comes down to something has to answer the phone, figure out what kind of call it is a route it to either a answering machine or a fax machine.
The only other way to do it with one line and Verizon voice mail is to get something called Distinctive Ringing service (if its available for Fios).  You get another phone number but not another physical line.  The one phone line rings differently for each number.  The fax machine must then have the distinctive ring feature and be setup to only answer it's ring.  The other ring it ignores which means VM will pick it up.
    Good luck
