M1319f Laserjet MFP..no printer cartridge error when cartridge in machine.

My Laserjet M1319f MFP for some reason today decided to display an error stating n printer cartridge.....funny thing is that there is one in the machine and it was never touched. I turned the machine on and of with no change error message still there. Took the cartridge out of the machine and put it back in and no change in the error message. I reset to defaults and again no change in status. Can anyone tell me whats going on? If there is no toner...which i highly doubt..wouldnt it say low toner first? Any help is appreciated.

I think that the printer is not making proper electrical contact with the toner cartridge.  Check the electrical contacts on the printer cartridge (there are 3 on the left hand side).  If they are damaged or missing, that could cause the problem.  There should be 3 corresponding contacts in the printer as well that you should check.

  • Office jet 6700 printer jam error when there is no printer jam

I get a continuous printer jam error when there is no jam present.  I have tried connecting and reconnecting.  Same error.

    Hi @lbrockhurst
Although you are not experiencing a true paper jam, the solutions presented in the following document might help to resolve the issue; A 'Paper Jam' Error Displays on the HP Officejet 6600 e-All-in-One and 6700 Premium e-All-in-One Pri...
    As you will see in the document above, paper jam messages are not only a result of physical paper jams;
The following factors can cause paper jams:
Paper loaded incorrectly in the paper tray.
    Damaged or dirty paper rollers.
Torn, wrinkled, or damp paper loaded in the paper tray.
The rear access door or two-sided printing accessory (duplexer) might not be closed or is not locked into place.
Paper was added to a stack already in the tray while the HP product was printing.
The tray contains more than one type of paper.
The paper is jammed inside the HP product where you cannot see it.
An obstruction is blocking the paper path.
Torn pieces of paper from a previous jam are stuck in the product.
    The tray is too full.
If printing on an envelope, the edges of the envelope are bent.
I have also seen communication hiccups cause such error messages. This may sound silly, but if the issue persists, after completing the steps in the document I provided, let's leave the router on and unplug the power cable (NOTE: Do not reset the router.),  then do the same with the printer, and shut down the computer. After a full minute, plug the router back in, wait for it to fully power up, then plug the printer back in and wait for the wireless light to become solid. Once both the router and printer are on, go ahead and turn the computer back on. Doing this will refresh the network connection.
    I hope this heps.

  • HP LaserJet MFP M476dw paper size mismatch when copying or scanning from ADF

We have HP Color LaserJet MFP M476dw that has an issue when copying or scanning from the ADF.
Put a single A4 sheet in the ADF and choose copy, with all settings correct & no resizing, and the output copy is moved down the page (increased top marging by a couple of inches).
My initial thoughts were a paper size issue (e.g. treating A4 as Letter or vice versa) but all settings look correct.  I have even done a reset and started over and the problem remains.
If I take the original and place it on the flatbed and copy from there with all the same settings then it works fine.
There is a similar issue when scanning from the ADF.  Again, scanning from the flatbed works fine.
I've tried all I can think of.  Does anyone have any further suggestions?  Could it be a fault in the ADF?

  • Print internal error when tring to print PPA document

    Hello experts,
We got a problem when we tried to print out PPA document in HR system using t-code PHAP_ADMIN_PA. The system always shows the message Error when printing: Internal error. And message no: HRHAP00_DOCUMENT160.
I have searched the forum but I have no idea how can I check and how can I do to solve this problem. Can anyone help me?
Any help will be highly appreciated.

    Hi Joseph,
This error is usually linked to an incorrect configuration of the printer.
Please check the following notes for information on the type of printer supported for PDF
       685571 - Printing PDF-based forms
Check also your ADS settings (or install it if it's not already done as it is required for PDF as well).
The installation steps you can fbe found in ADS Configuration Guide:
    http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/37/504b8cbc2848a494facfdc09a359b1/frameset.htm
Once installed or if it's there already then please check the following:
Execute the ADS test program "FP_TEST_00" in your system, check whether form is being displayed once you specify the
printer name. Also, could you check in transaction SM59 the ADS status?
In order to print an appraisal form, you need:
1- the Adobe Document Services (ADS) installed and well configured
on a J2EE engine in your system landscape
2- an appropriate connection called ADS maintained in SM59
ADS configuration guide is available on Help Portal.http://help.sap.com/nw2004s
-> SAP NetWeaver Library -> Technology Consultant's Guide ->Cross-NetWeaver Configurations -> Adobe Document Services ->Configuration.
Please also make sure, that ADS is used on a supported platform. You can check the Product Availability Matrix (PAM) for informationabout supported plattforms for ADS.Link: http://service.sap.com/pam

  • Print orientation error when customizing paper size or default A4 size.

    Hi,
I had set my report print with landscape orientation, it works well in print preview and export to pdf file.
but when I do print to printer, the page orientation was changed.
I got the change rule about the issue, when you customizing page size, the print orientation depends on the width and height. if page width is greater than height, the page will be print in landscape orientation, even I specified it print with portrait mode.
Did someone get the same issue as mine? How could I solve it.
    Thanks.

    Hi,

  • Weird print/pdf error when images are over a table

    Hi all
I'm having a trouble with Pages where if I have an image over a table (so it looks like it's in the box) it can cause the table borders to go missing. As this is a little hard to describe I have made a pdf file showing the problem...
    http://homepage.mac.com/sonicisblue/FileSharing29.html
As you can see, the first page appears fine, where as the second page's table borers have gone...
I have the same problems throughout the document, regardless of whether I print to a printer or print to PDF.
If someone could help I'd be very grateful. Thanks!

Ah - I've spent a lot of time mastering tables in Pages - they could be a wonderful tool for lots of things - my favourite being positioning photo captions right beneath the picutre...
    Re your problem, try this:
    - double click the cell in the table (you will see yellow highlight around it)
    - go to Object Inspector, then choose Image Fill, then either choose your image (photo) from the folder you'd saved it in or open Media from the toolbar and click and drag the image you want in the cell from the Media dialogue window to the little window in the Object Inspector (it shows a green plus sign when it's ready to be imported)
See if your photo best fits the cell with Image Fill set to 'Scale to Fit' or 'Scale to Fill'. You may have to crop the original photo if the way the picture fills the cell doesn't suit you. Go back to iPhoto (or import your image to iPhoto), duplicate it, crop the duplicate (so as not to loose the original image) and repeat the procedure.
This helped me. See several articles I published on working with tables on:

  • HP LaserJet MFP M276n prints vertical lines only

We are using this printer as a stand alone printer to copy bulletins for our church each Sunday.   It has been printing fine BUT we moved it to another table in the office and it quit copying from the top side.   I can run test prints fine from the memory of the machine but it will not copy anything...we get vertical lines up and down the page.   What have I done to it!

    Hi @jimrob65 ,
I see that you are having issues when copying, you are now getting vertical lines after moving the printer to another  table in the office. I will do my best to assist you with this issue.
Most likely the printer is connected to a different power source since moving the printer, which can affect copying and scanning output.
Make sure the printer is connected directly to a wall outlet. (don't use a power hub or a surge protector) This ensures the printer is receiving full power and may help this situation.
    Try another outlet.
I have provided this document for cleaning the scanner glass and the white plastic backing.

  • Printer spooler error when attempting to install Acrobat Pro (also Reader)

I tried to install the trial version of Acrobat Pro today.  Installation would not complete due to an inability to stop the print spooler.
After this failure to install, I was no longer able to access my printer via the previously installed Acrobat Reader.  I uninstalled Reader and attempted to reinstall it, only to discover the same print spooler problem.  Neither program will now install.

I recently updated the designs of some templates used in our FM books. I created a sample manual using the new templates to test it out. When updating the book, I get the following errors. I have fixed errors before, but I've never seen these ones.

    Hi priya,
Not sure: check syntax in your Update Roules, also at level of start routine.
    Ciao.

  • Keep getting an error message stating cartridge error, remove cartridge and replace it.

I have an HP officejet 5610 all in one printer. I keep receiving an error message stating to take cartridge out put back in. I have done this a dozen times literally with no success. I have also followed many trouble shooting methods all of which have failed. I have no paper jam, nothing inside the printer blocking the cartridge from moving. I can do test print without any problem except when I go to print a document then this error shows up. Can't figure it out. The ink cartridges are new as well. Anyone have any ideas?

Can you try the steps in the document here. Please let me know if any of them work.
    Thanks,
    Francheska

  • Any progess on the DRM error when changing versions; machines etc?

    Hi folks,
I've recently changed PCs and having downloaded Digital Editions to the new machine, I can no longer open a .pdf that lives on a network drive that was bought and downloaded via my old machine (I get the oft-reported DRM error).
Having looked through the forums this problem seems to have reported many times but the threads I looked at just seem to degenerate into various rants (understandable I guess) with no solutions offered,
Does anyone know of a fix? Or is the only substantive solution being to 'just live with it'?
    Kev.

If you authorized Digital Editions on your original machine to an AdobeID, and authorized Digital Editions on your new machine to the same AdobeID, then this should just work.  If it doesn't you should open up a web support case ( go to http://www.adobe.com/support/digitaleditions/ and click on 'Submit a web case').
If you choose not to authorize Digital Editions and purchase books you are in effect saying that the machine owns the books and not you. The books  will not be transferrable, and the moment you lose access to that machine (hard drive crash, registry corruption, reinstall, etc...) you lose access to those books.
Most of the DRM errors reported on this forum have been from people who did not originally authorize their copy of Digital Editions to an AdobeID and are now encountering the problems that came out of it.
