M401dne multi sheet tray feed direction

Hi, Hopefully a simpley question: About to purchase a M401dne for cheque printing in our office. can someone tell me if the Multi sheet feeder (tray 1) takes headed paper face up or face down and if it feeds first form the top or bottom of the stack? Ideally we want this to be either face down and taking form the bottom, or face up and taking form the top - the cheques are on headed paper and in sequential order and need them printed in that order - printing in batches of 90ish beans single feeding isnt an option. thanks in advance! We would suggest that you do any of the following:
Update your printer driver.
Go back to the
Printing Options
tab of the Envelope Options
dialog box, and make adjustments to the printing options. Print the envelope again. Repeat this process until you discover a configuration of printing options that yields the results that you want.

Printing to multi purpose tray from on Canon ImageRunner C5045

I am having a problem printing to the multi purpose tray on my work printer.
I've been able to print sucessfully to the multipurpose tray when I print from mail, or any other non-adobe application.
However, it does not work in Illustrator cc/indesign/etc.
I have gone through all the steps to select the correct paper feed options (file > print > setup > paper feed > all pages from > multipurpose tray.)
I then tell my printer which paper I am using.
It still does not recognize.
Any thoughts appreciated.

To print to Mailbox, you need to ensure you are using the Canon PS Driver for OS X, preferably v1.70 or later. There is also a Canon UFR2 driver for OS X, but it is not available to all models of imageRUNNER.
With the correct driver installed, when you select to print from an application, change the Copies and Pages menu to Special Features. Here there is an option called Job Processing and in this menu you have the options of Print, Store, Secured Print and Promote Print. To print to mailbox, select the Store option. Then when you press Print the window letting you select the Mailbox number and enter the file name will appear.
If you don't have the Special Features tab but have installed the PS driver v1.70 or later, then something has gone wrong with the installation and the driver will need to be installed again. Please reply if you need help with this.

Multi-sheet in file IXR in XL reporter.

When we design a report template in XL Reporter, the system will always create a file IXR in which have only one sheet. I want to have multi-sheet for a batch of report, how can I get it?

You can only have one sheet for one XL report. To generate multi-sheet report, you need report job or report book function. Check help files to find more.

Selecting Paper for the Multi-purpose Tray - Canon imageCLASS MF6160dw

I set the default paper for the Multi-purpose Tray of my Canon imageCLASS MF6160dw to be legal paper.
When I want to print envelopes or labels, can I change to that respective paper from my computer OR must I do it from the panel on the printer?
It sure seems like I have to constantly get up & change something on the panel on the printer that I should be able to do from my computer.
If I can do it from my computer, please list the steps on how I would do that.

500-sheet tray for 16/600 & Pro 630

Is the optional 500 sheet tray for the Laserwriter Pro 630 the same as that for Laserwriter 16/600 & vice versa?

Answering my own question, for those interested... It seems that it is not possible to use the optional 500 sheet tray from either an hp4+/5 or Pro 600/630 in the 16/600 - because, while all would fit underneath the printer, the 16/600 is the only printer with this print engine that drives at 16 ppm. On the other hand, it might be possible to use a paper tray from a 16/600 in a Pro 600/630 or similar. No first hand info here, though.

HP 6988 Lower 250 sheet tray & Photo paper

I am trying to print using 8.5" x 11" glossy photo paper in the lower 250 sheet tray of the HP 6988 printer. The Windows printer driver will NOT let me select the lower tray when I specify the paper as photo paper. Regular paper I can select but I am printing photos.
I have 3.75" x 6.75" FiloFax paper in the uppder tray which will NOT fit in the lower tray so I can not put the photo paper in the upper tray.
How do I get the printer driver to recodnize photo paper in the lower 250 sheet tray?
I'm running Windows XP SP3.

The optional 250 sheet Paper Tray only support a plain paper, not any other type of paper:

Quick question - Printing a poster (multi-sheets) using iPhoto

I know I've read about a couple programs that will allow you to print multi-sheets of a high def picture from iPhoto to create a poster but now that I want one I can't think of the program names. Can anyone help?

No these are programs that take a large .jpg picture file and print it at large scale but across multiple sheets on standard printers. Then you piece them together on a wall. It's not professional but it's a great way to make a large printing of your photo.
I'm pretty sure "Mac Gems" had a review a few weeks ago but for the life of me I'm not finding this type of program anywhere at the moment.

I'm posting a follow up to a thread I started a while ago on this forum about seeking beta testers for a new plugin I started to develop, called Templater, for producing dynamic renders out of After Effects. I want to thank all the beta testers out there who helped this product get some real legs. We are very close to release and launch, and I am extremely grateful for all the AE users who have offered encouragement for the further development of this tool.
In light of that, I want to point the community to some screencasts I put together that demonstrates the real power of Templater: inserting third-party API data into Google Sheets documents and feeding that directly into your AE project compositions. For example, you can get Twitter data into the Google Sheet, then use that in your AE project. You can also use Google Sheets' translation feature to easily localize text appearing in your compositions--even if those comps make use of super-awesome plugins like Element3D.

Multi-select prompts in Direct Database Request

Is it possible to pass multi-select dashboard prompts to direct database requests?
I have a report based on direct database request that needs the ability to run for all customers or the selected combination of customers.
For example:
select customer_name, sum(quantity)
from orders
where customer_name = '@{pCustomerPrompt}'
group by customer_name;
Here pCustomerPrompt is a multi-select prompt for customers.

Capture HPX500 live feed directly to Mac?

How to capture directly into a Mac from a live feed from a HPX500 P2 camera?

We did several hours with 2 HPX 500s at the 145th Gettysburg event this year. We used FCP 5.1.4 log and capture over firewire. Make sure to keep the firewire cable under 15 feet. Settings DVCPro HD 720p30. Set the HPX 500 to 720p30 NOT 720p30n. Make sure you are capturing to a fast Raid array with firewire 800 interface and enough space. Connect the camera to the firewire 400 port. Turn off the abort dropped frames, auto render, turn off drive and computer sleep. No problems at all. Great thing is that it is already there ready to edit at the end of the show. Really cool way to do a long form capture.

Data to excel, multi dimension data, multi sheets.

I have an application that I'm hoping can be done in Labview and I'm hoping I can explain clearly, so here it goes.
I have a test where I'm performing an FFT on six axis of vibration (X-1,Y-1,Z-1,X-2,Y-2,Z-2) at several different RPM levels of a tool.
So I would like to store the data as follows:
Each axis will be on a separate worksheet and the data will be shown as one row containing a specific RPM followed by all of the FFT readings.
The next row will contain the next RPM value followed by all of the FFT readings for that RPM value. This will be for one axis.
There will then be a new sheet for the remaining five axis.
The operator will enter the RPM value into a box, hit a button which will record and calculate an FFT (lets say 800 points or whatever). This will create the six worksheets and populate the first row.
Then the operator will increase the RPM, click some button to add another set of data, but this data will be appended to the next row (on each of the six sheets).
I'm strugging with adding a sheet, re-opening an existing file, and appending a row of data.
I've attached a picture.It shows RPMs and Frequency bins, with the data being acceration units for each frequency.
As an alternative, if Labview can do this without Excel, I'm not opposed to sending these rows of data to a graph where I can see a "waterfall".
I hope this makes sense and thanks for any ideas!

What version of LabVIEW are you using? Do you have the Report Generation Toolkit to interface with Microsoft Office? Either way, you can use the “Write to Spreadsheet File” VIs in LabVIEW to accomplish the results you desire. You need not have Microsoft Excel to use these VIs.
How far into the development of your VI are you? Have you configured the data acquisition (DAQ) steps? What NI-DAQ hardware are you using? I would begin with a DAQ example that ships with LabVIEW, then combine it with a File I/O example. To locate these examples, open LabVIEW, navigate to Help and select Find Examples.
Out of curiosity: why must the operator manually enter the RPM value? How does the operator determine this value? To further streamline your application, you may want to acquire the actual RPM value from whatever device is displaying it along with the acceleration data points.
Give the examples a shot, and if you get stuck along the way post back with your code and us forum users will try to help you out.

The general process is to select the photo and print, select the printer, paper size and print size and click customize and under settings selec multiples copies of a photo (the preview will reflect this choice) and click print to print, make any printer specific selections and click print to print

How to export of multi-sheet Numbers file to PDF in one go?

Attempts to export more than first sheet as a PDF fails. Export to Excel is sort of OK, but only with some loss of format.
PDF work-around involved saving the Numbers file with different file names for succeeding sheets, then eliminating earlier sheets before exporting as PDFs, and finally using Acrobat Pro to glue the whole boiling together. Very clumsy.
What am I doing wrong? And what should I do instead?

I would have thought that "Print Sheet(s)" would have done this but... Export to PDF does support multiple sheet "printing." Select the Sheets then Export > PDF...

PS Newb needs help with image scaling and multi-sheet printout

Hi, I'm trying to use PS CS3 to scale up an image I have so I can print it out to use as a map for a miniatures game. I have no problem scaling the image to the appropriate size, but I can't figure out how to print out the image on multiple 8.5 x 11 sheets. I had thought I'd seen an option for such a procedure previously, but maybe it was in another editing program. If anyone has any ideas on how I might accomplish this I'd really appreciate hearing about them. Thanks!

Illustrator and InDesign do tiled printing as does CorelDraw. Photoshop as such does not, but some script for that may exist. In your case, the simplest solution would be to save the File as a PDF and have Acrobat generate a tiled print (Page Scaling setting in teh Acro print dialog). You just need to make sure your page properly fits multiple pages. Unliek AI and ID, Acro can only chop up stuff based on standard paper sizes...
