M40X-250: OS installation doesn't work

Hi,
I've just tried to upgrade to standard install of XP Home edition to a XP pro edition. During the installation the remark comes up that the installation is missing a driver for mass storage device. Subsequently, when the pc restarts it does not get through the start up fase. A split second blue screen and it restarts giving me the standard options safe mode - previous installation - ... All option result in the same loop...
Thus here my questions:
1) Is the HD a SATA drive, and thus not yet supported by Win XP pro (I couldn't find the exact specifications of the HD)
2) Where can I find drivers to solve this problem
3) Is there a solution anyway...

As far as I know this notebook was delivered with a common 60 GB Interface Enhanced (ATA-6) HDD. In this case you dont need to install any SATA drivers.
In my opinion it's a other issue.
I think you should try to install the Chip Set Utility and other Microsoft Hotfixes. The best way is to install the SP2. Furthermore on the Toshiba website you will find some QFEs. You should install these files in the right order which is listed on the download site.

Installer doesn't work after upgrading to 10.3.3

Hi,
I'm trying to upgrade from 10.2.8 to 10.3.9. I bought the upgrade to 10.3.3 and installed it (with the upgrade feature, not the archive and install) and now when I try to open the .pkg file for the upgrade to 10.3.9, the installer doesn't work. It opens and a window comes up with a large "X" in the background, but the main dialog box is blank, the two buttons on the bottom right corner of the window are blank, and clicking them doesn't do anything. I know it's the installer because the same thing happens when I try to install other programs.
I can't use the software update feature because I can't get my mac to work with my DSL connection - but that's another story.

Yep, that's the problem!
Tiger is available for purchase at The Apple Store (U.S.).
Panther, is no longer available directly from the Apple Online Store, as Tiger 10.4.x is the most up to date OS.
A Full Retail Version, of the Panther Install CDs, or a Full Retail Version, of the Tiger Install DVD, can be purchased rather inexpensively, at some online Apple retailers, Amazon, eBay, AppleRescue, FastMac, etc.
Be sure not to again purchase grey, upgrade or machine specific CDs or DVDs.
Panther is only on CDs, not DVDs.

Once Panther 10.3.x is installed, you can use the 10.3.9 Combo Update, to upgrade to the final version.
If your Mac meets the System Requirements for Tiger, you could also consider installing that.
And then use the PPC 10.4.8 Combo Update.

Trial and Evaluation for NW ABAP 7.02 SP6 64-bit Installation doesn't work

Hello Colleagues,
the installation of SAP Developer Version under Download SAP NetWeaver Main Releases\SAP NetWeaver Application Server ABAP 7.02 SP6 64-bit Developer Edition doesn't work.
Different to the requirements I tried to installed on VM Player and with Windows Server 2003.
Only when ABAP Imort reached package 34 (successfully imported) the installation process stopped without any error.
Like frozen.
Please does anybody now the problem? Or is the Installation on Windows 2003 general not possible or at VM Player?

It is possible.
Check VMware options, especially allocated operative memory size.
If there is not enough memory, VMware begins to use swap and productivity becomes very low. As a result, program freezes.

Installer doesn't work for any application

The installer app itself is not working on my mac (Macbook Pro, running Version 10.8.5), and it doesn't work regardless of the software that I'm trying to install.
I get the following error message:
Installer cannot be opened because of a problem.
Check with the developer to make sure Installer works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application. Be sure to install any available updates for the application and OS X.
Any help/suggestions?

Launch the Console application in any of the following ways:
☞ Enter the first few letters of its name into a Spotlight search. Select it in the results (it should be at the top.)
☞ In the Finder, select Go ▹ Utilities from the menu bar, or press the key combination shift-command-U. The application is in the folder that opens.
☞ Open LaunchPad and start typing the name.
The title of the Console window should be All Messages. If it isn't, select
SYSTEM LOG QUERIES ▹ All Messages
from the log list on the left. If you don't see that list, select
View ▹ Show Log List
from the menu bar at the top of the screen.
Click the Clear Display icon in the toolbar. Then take an action that isn't working the way you expect. Select any lines that appear in the Console window. Copy them to the Clipboard by pressing the key combination command-C. Paste into a reply to this message by pressing command-V.

My J2EE 1.4 SDK installation doesn't work (j2eesdk-1_4_03-windows.exe)

I think that this is a very curious case. The preparation of the installation is completely right (it loads the Java(TM) 2 Runtime Environment, extract the files). The first screen appears and I click on next, I agree with the software license and click to go next. In the third screen is where the matter happens, I leave the default Installation Directory (C:\Sun\AppServer) and click on next button but the interface is frozen, not more screens are shown, I can move the mouse and even I can execute perfectly the button Browse, and minimize, maximize and close button but the bottom buttons line doesn't work (Back, Next, Cancel, Help), I have left the screen for hours and nothing happens, I only close the interface without installing the sdk.
I try to install j2eesdk-1_4_03-windows.exe on WIndows XP SP3 (before it was SP2 but I changed to test the install but it doesn't work too), I have installed the Java SE Runtime Environment 6 and Java (TM) Update 12, too I have the Java(TM) SE Development Kit 6 and J2ME Wireless Toolkit 2.2, all of them without problems.

Try to find and delete two files somewhere in c:\windows\...folders -
productregistry and productregistry.access.tmp

Photoshop PlugIn error installation doesn't work !

Download a PlugIn for Adobe Photoshop, in description stand PS CC / CS6 but Plugin doesn't work with CS6 ... error message coming: Photoshop 13,0 or newer need, my actually version is 13.06 but every try the error messager is coming.

When booted from the Tiger DVD, open Disk Utility from one of the menues at the top. Check that your iMac's hard drive is healthy (don't repair permisssions, but repair disk).
Exactly when does the system freeze? Do you get to choose any install options, like archive and install? When upgrading from 10.2.8 to 10.4, you should do an Archive and Install.

Application Installer doesn't work!

My application installer does not work. I get these message: "Pc Suite does not support the connected phone".
I did all of these:
1. Disconnected the phone
2. Uninstalled Nokia PC Suite
3. Uninstalled the Nokia Connectivity Cable driver
4. Deleted the following folders:
C:\Documents and Settings%USERNAME%Application DataPC SuiteConfServer
C:\Documents and Settings%USERNAME%Application DataNokiaContentCopier
C:\Documents and Settings%USERNAME%Application DataNokiaPCSyncSynchData
C:\Documents and Settings%USERNAME%Application DataDatalayer
C:\Documents and Settings%USERNAME%Phone Browser (hidden folders)
5. I switched off the firewall and Re-installed Nokia PC Suite.
It still does not work. How can I ensolve it?
System: Windows XP professional with SP 3
Security: ESET Smart security
Pc Suite: 7.0.9.2
Phone Nokia: 6500 classic
Phone firmware: V 08.30
Connection type: USB with CA-101 cabel

I did all things you said, but it still does not work.
The error message is still the same: "Pc Suite does not support with the connected phone".
If I open the settings and select the 6500c (where you can change the destination of files), I couldn't change the directory of applications because it's folder icon is inactive(grey).
Any other idea how can I fix it?

Hi there, I have just tried to my Solaris 10 download on two PCs and it doesn't seem to go the way expected in the installation instructions: No Grub menu appears. It does say Grub at the top of the screen, tells me about base and extended memory, then it gives me a little prompt about being able to press Tab for a list of commands. A list of commands appears when I press Tab but having typed them one after another, it doesn't seem to be working. Is this normal?

CS6 installer doesn't work.

I'm using windows 7.
I have downloaded photoshop cs6, and it came up with error101. I downloaded again, and it worked fine, but my installer didn't initialize. I uninstalled everything and downloaded again, and the installer started, but stopped halfway and said it had an error.
I have downloaded Support Advisor, but the errors it found were all to do with CS4. As in, if you have CS5 installed and try to install CS4 it will be an error. But I neither have CS5 installed, nor am I trying to install CS4. I have also tried downloading to a different folder, and installing in a new administrator acount. I have searched the forums, and nothing has seemed to help fix my problem.

Yes for these type of errors you will want to remove all previous versions of Adobe Creative software. I would recommend starting with the uninstaller and then following up by following the directions listed in CS Cleaner Tool for installation problems | CCM, CS6, CS5.5, CS5, CS4, CS3 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/cs5-cleaner-tool-installation-problems.html.

Update doesn't work; driver installation doesn't work

I'm using Windows 7 on a T500, and I have encountered some strange problems, which seem sort of related:
1. Windows update installation ends with error code 80070670 Windows Update_dt000
2. My Bluetooth mouse (Logitech V470) required driver installation, but the process ended in failure;
3. I tried to use Lenovo System Update, but the process took much longer than usual, and didn't finish
My internet works normally. I scanned the computer for viruses, and there were none. I tried an earlier system restore point, and it didn't make a difference. Does anybody have a suggestion what could be wrong?

Purchased and downloaded Lion 10.7.1 installation doesn't work

I purchased and downloaded Lion 10.7.1, the installation icon appears on the tools bar, but when I launch it, it tells me that cannot install lions because cannot verify the software; what can I do now without paying once more time? just download it again or should I cancel some files before that? The downloading is quite misterious because Apple doesn't show anything, so it's impossible to have an idea of what's going on.

Hi Danimauri,
Where did you purchase this from? If you got it from the Mac App Store, you'd usually get 10.7.3, not 10.7.1 (as far as I'm aware).
If you're sure you downlaoded this form the Mac App Store, I would delete the copy you've downloaded and redownload it again. Make sure your signed in with the same AppleID you originally bought it with, otherwise you may get charged again.

MAC- EOS Solution Disk 29.0A Installer Doesn't Work

Hi All- I am running Mac OS X 10.9 and just downloaded the EOS Solution Disk 29.0A image from Canons website. The image verifies and extracts properly. When I launch the ksd290A_installer it appears to extracts files but then nothing else happens. No errors, no installer, nothing else happens, nothing.. Please advise?

Mike, bsorgI had verified and repaired the disk permissions but that didn't resolve my issue. It is still something with the user account, I just don't know what it is. After installing the EOS Solution Disk 29.0A Installer on to a different account (with Admin rights), and logged back into my normal user account the software was all available for my use. This may be a work around for bsorg also. I would like to figure out why this didn't install under my normal user account. I wonder if it has something to do with upgrading from 10.6.x to 10.9.x, perhaps that is where the corruption took place. Good Luck bsorg!!Thanks Mike for your response!!

The Indesign cs2 installer doesn't work

It keeps saying it was interrupted and quits. Also when I put in the serial number it doesn't do anything. I can't remove the program either.
