When i choose 5+ all speakers working but not correctly. Some one like subwoofer, someone souns coming really different and meanwhile, sound level really so less. how can i fix these problems. im waiting your answer.. Best wishes..

  • Problem with Creative M4500 speakers

    Hi,
This is Raj. I bought creative M4500 model speakers. I am facing a very peculiar problem with these speakers.
When I connect the plug to the plug to the pin, The audio comes fine with out any problem but suddenly after 5 mins or so, I see that audio is stopped from the speakers, When I check if there is power supply to the speakers, near teh volume controllers I see that the Green buld is blowing which means that there is power supply but there is no audio. When I remove the plug and put into the pin carefully again the audio comes fine.
You may doubt that the pin may not be good or some loose contact, The power pin is perfectly fine, because when I connect any other device(cell charger and external HD power) to the same pin they work with out interruption. More over I aleays see the green light near the Volume controller always on.
I used to think that this is a small problem, but this problem is so irritating that I wanna get rid of this problem as soon as possible.
Can any one advise what could have gone wrong and suggest me any solution to get rid of this problem.
    Thanks alot.
    Raj Kumar

    Hi,
No This does not happen all the time. This comes intermittently. Something like once in a couple of days. But once the problem rises it does not settle for 2-3 hrs, irritates like anything.
I purchased it from the local store. How ever I need to find a service centre @ my place to get some resolution for this.

  • M4500 anable to connect with DVD player

    Hi,
Kindly help me I am not able to connect my Creative M4500 speakers with DVD player.
    Regards

Not sure what your asking as it should be very simple, you are talking about the X-fi front bay unit right? You have a DVD player with R&w outs, you simply connect to those and then the same R&W connectors on the bay unit. I believe its treated as Linein2 in the mixer. Should be very simple to figure out

  • Arch Linux on a Dell Precision M4500

I just bought a Dell M4500, and there are 2 issues I'd like to bring up and seek help with.
    ** SD Card Reader
According to lspci I have the following reader:
04:00.1 SD Host controller: Ricoh Co Ltd Device e822 (rev 03)
The problem is that when I insert any SD card (sd or sdhc) I get the following error:
mmc0: error -110 whilst initialising SD card
I have searched online and in these forums with no clear answer for this problem.
    ** Touchpad
I have Xorg 1.8 installed and letting evdev manage my devices. I see a 10-synaptics.conf file in the xorg.conf.d folder, but nowhere on the xorg logs is there any mention of a synaptics driver being loaded. The touchpad can move the pointer and even tap is enabled, but it does not scroll or any advanced options. When I attempt to run Gsynaptics it also mentions of synaptics driver not being loaded.
What could be keeping the synaptics driver from being loaded?
Any help with this would be appreciated. Thanks!

    @psybeer
I also have a Dell M4500. I haven't checked the SD card issue - will do when I have some extra time.
As for the touchpad there is a problem with it not being recognised as an ALPs device (it just shows up as a generic PS/2 mouse) also the protocol has changed for this device, it is being worked on upstream. See:
    https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=16146 and
    https://bugzilla.kernel.org/show_bug.cgi?id=14660
Hopefully it won't be too long until there is a fix.

  • Help me pls: No sound on Front Left of Inspire M4500 speaker

    Hi everyone,
Pls help with me with this problem.
I just bought a 4.1 Inspire M4500 using for my PC. My sound card driver is Realtek AC97 Audio (version 5.0.0000.690, date 1/6/2006). Unfortunately, after installing, there is no sound on the Front Left speaker. It means that any rear speaker inputed in the FRONT LEFT socket has no sound.
If anyone who knows how to solve this problem pls help me!
Your kind help will always be greatly appricicated!
    VienKyTu

AC97 is onboard audio, you didn't say what motherboard you have, but I would think there would be a newer driver update on your MoBos website. But you did say you have a sound card, if it is in fact a dedicated sound card, you need to disable your AC97 audio in your BIOS.

  • Creative inspire m4500 no sound output

Hi I really may be wrong but does the system have the very problem the Gigaworks has a defective Relay in the Subwoofer? I am probably up the Gum Tree but it does seem similar to those with the Gigaworks.

  • LIRC and PV-M4500 (TV Excel / PlayTV PixelView Pro TV Card)

    Hi all,
I've installed a BT878 TV card, but I've had no luck getting its remote to work. I've found a handful of accounts reporting success with linux and this card, so it must be possible. I'd appreciate some help though, as I'm out of ideas. Hopefully there's an obvious oversight somewhere below!
First, here's /etc/modprobe.d/modprobe.conf, which seems adequate to get the TV card. As you can see, there are plenty of commented options I've tried at various stages. As a rule, the card options were all adequate to drive the TV card, but none of the LIRC related options got me anywhere.

At the top, you can see that the LIRC device is detected. However, there's no device created with char-major 250 in /dev. There's no 61 either. Thinking this was the problem, I tried a udev.rules file to create an appropriate device:
    KERNEL=="event*",SYSFS{vendor}=="0x109e",SYMLINK="lirc0"
After that I had /dev/lirc0 linked to input/event4. Didn't help when I ran commands like:
    irrecord -H devinput -d /dev/lirc0 test
    irrecord -H devinput -d /dev/input/by-path/pci-0000\:02\:07.0-event-ir test
Didn't help with irw or lirc either. Here's an excerpt from the lirc logs:
lircd: accepted new client on /var/run/lirc/lircd
lircd: could not get hardware features
lircd: this device driver does not support the LIRC ioctl interface
lircd: did you mean to use the devinput driver instead of the default driver?
lircd: WARNING: Failed to initialize hardware
lircd: accepted new client on /var/run/lirc/lircd
Now, I could give you even more information, but I have a lot of notes and little sense of what else might hold the key. Let me know what you need. A solution or explanation would be greatly appreciated!

I have a K-World TV-Tuner card. I have XP running on my machine. I experienced two aspect of the problem. Driver installation and Hardware/software crashs. The driver problem was correct by removing ALL installed Video and sound drivers and and letting xp reinstall. When the multimedia installation was to occur I force a manual selction of the K-world drivers and works like A champ.
I found that when I moved the card to a slot not shared with the AGP  and WINmodem/or NIC card things were much more stable. Memory timing may have had some bearing as I did adjust it at the time, but after everything settled down It seems to me that my previous comments have had more bearing than not. I have had to reinstall XP on several occassions and my solutions have proven to be stable ones for my hardware configuration.

  • Big problem with my brand new Inspire M4500

This model has got 4 channels for it's four small speakers and as far as I know that they should be separate especially when I test them in the sound's control panel -the one of the sound card not the windows- so I can check every single speaker, Unfortunately when I do that then the following happens, when I click the right-front speaker I get a low sound but it takes place on the both of the right-front and right-rear satellites with the same sound level, and when I test the right-rear satellites, I hear a higher sound but also on the two of them and at the same sound level, the same thing occurs for the left side pairs, that means it's not surround it's plain stereo at the moment.
That really made a sad and frustrated person of me! I've just purchased it, and unfortunately the coming three days are holidays here for our feast, so the shop will be also closed. I've tested the speakers in a later time of my purchase; I never imagined this would happen, I've double checked the connections of both the analog to the sound card cables also the setup for the 4.1 speaker in both the sound card's control panel and windows, I'm wondering if there's something I should have done in the first place!
Have anyone of you been through trouble like this before?!

  • Z820 - Performance Issue

    Dears,
     I have a Z820 16GB ( Xeon processor ) and a Dell Precision M4500 8GB ( i7 CPU  @ 2.13 GHz ), in both ,  the operating system is Window 7 64-bit ,
Office 10 is installed in both
While working on Excel files, i have experienced very low performance of Z820 when compared to the Dell M4500
In M4500 , i could open 4 huge excel files ( 55MB each ) and work on them simultaneously with no any problem , no interruption and no ( Not responding message ) , while in the Z820 , i had to force closing the files in many occasions due to ( not responding message in some cases or because the screen turned into black and flashes.
I had done some test as following:
Opened the same excel file in both workstations, typed my excel formulas that spread into 14 columns and run them down to 500,000 rows, the M4500 finished in 22 seconds , while the Z820 at the first time stopped with the ( Not responding message ) but in the second test it could finish the same function in 8 minutes.
I can share with you the formulas taht i used in excel if that helps.
I am really surprised because the spics of Z820 is much more greater than the spics of M4500
Could you please advise me what to do and where to start to resolve this problem?

  • The need for Speed - my setup

I have been using Lightroom since version 1 and have recently upgraded to version 3. As many have reported, version 3 needs more CPU speed for rendering so I have modified my workflow to get maximum speed.
Until recently I had a Dell M65 Notebook with a 2.16 GHz Core2 dual CPU and 3 GByte RAM. I was using Windows 7 x64. All my RAW files are on an external HD, connected with USB 2.0 to the notebook.
Upgrading to Lightroom 3 made everything too slow, as the CPU would stay at 100% for long times, like 10 seconds during edits.
Therefore, I upgraded to a Dell M4500 with a Core i7 CPU Q840 @ 1,87 GHz and 8GByte RAM. This CPU has 4 phyical cores, each supporting hyperthreading for a total of 8 logical cores. I am using Windows 7 x64.
On the new notebook, I have never had L2 installed.
The L3 Library is located on the internal Hard drive, together with all the previews. The RAW files are still on the external 2.5" USB 2.0 drive.
I upgraded by importing first the L3beta catalog and then L2 catalogs. I found a bug, which would crash L3 if the same photo was already in my L3 catalog as well as in a L2 catalog to be imported. I solved that problem by importing the L2 catalog first separately and then exporting parts of it to new L3 catalogs and then importing these parts to the main L3 catalog.
During import, I had the external drive holding all the photos attached to the notebook.
At this point, I had only the catalog in place, but no previews. I set the preview size in L3 to 2048pixels. It is important to set this value higher than the screen resolution. Otherwise, L3 will have to process the RAW files most of the time, making things very slow.
I once tried looking at the imported photos during import. That was not  a good idea as L3 went very slow and started swapping on the hard  drive. I had to stop import and restart L3 to regain speed. I assume  that L3 has some memory leak issues.
Now I opened one path on my external drive I wanted to work on. I noticed that when I opened a photo in the Library page, I would see the "Loading". After about 2-3 seconds for old (2003) photos and about 3 seconds for new (2010) photos, it would go away. This would of course not allow me to browse through at high speed. Therefore I selected all photos in one folder with new photos and asked L3 to make all the standard previews. L3 would start making them at a speed of about one every 1-2 seconds. Those photos were without any fancy stuff like adjustment brush. One thing I noticed was that the CPU load was between 25 and 50%, so L3 is not using all the available cores for this operation. Optimizing this process for many cores would give me a speed advantage of 2-3.
I have about 50k pictures in my library. Almost all of them RAW files.
The result is that I can now browse through the photos with a very low delay. If I select the next photo, I will see a low res version of it almost instintaniouosly, and the high res version after about half a second. If I go crazy and use the scroll wheel extensively and very fast, after some 5-10 or so photos, scrolling stops. At that point, I have to wait for the film strip at the bottom of the screen to update. Then I can continue. If I do not show the film strip, I can scroll a bit further, but there are still intermittent stops, where I have to wait for L3 to catch up. Still, even at the point where scrolling stops, I still get the hi res picture after about a second. It seems that the speed of the internal Hard drive is the limit here. If I need to scroll faster, I select the grid of pictures. There I can go even faster.
Zooming in to 1:1 forces the full resolution previews to be made. That takes about 3 seconds on my notebook. If I revisit the same photo later, I can zoom in and get the full res photo in about half a second.
I then tried to import some data from the CF cards. The import went smooth (although rather slow, but that was the same in L3b2) and I tried to look at the pictures during import. That was not a good idea, as L3 started using RAM excessively, the hard drive was working continously and everyting went very slow. I stopped the import and restarted L3. Apparently, there is a memory leak somewhere so I decided to adopt the following workflow:
Import the files for the Memory Card (I have a USB card reader)
Close L3 and restart (I skip the backup if asked by L3)
Select all newly imported pictures and generate the standard previews.
Close L3 and restart (I skip the backup if asked by L3)
Now I select what pictures I want to work on by by giving them the 1-5 stars.
Then I filter the 5 star pictures and move over to the Edit module
If I see the internal Hard drive working a lot during edits, I close L3 and restart.
Browsing in the Edit module is much slower than in the Library module.
Also, during edit, speed of operation is dependent on the resolution I look at. If I look at the photo zoomed out, I get to see the next picture after about 1/3 of a second, and have a waiting time of about 3 seconds the first time I open a picture until the "Loading" goes away. I can only assume that at this point, the 1:1 previews are made. If I go back to a previously edited photo, the time delay is about 1 second. If I close L3 and reopen, it takes 3 seconds again. During that time, all 8 cores are working, but only up to about 50%, so there is still room for improvment here.
Browsing zoomed in takes initially about 1 seconds extra. Returning to a photo zoomed in does not seem to cause any extra delay, though.
I always wait until "Loading" goes away before I try editing anything.  If I start immeditaly changing something, L3 becomes slow. Sometimes it  stays that way, and I have to restart to regain speed.
The Memory for Camera Raw is set at 1 GB, the default. I have not found any speed advantage setting it higher.
I use the adjustment brush a lot as well as red eye removal and gradients and I see no practical difference in rendering time when used. If I paint on the photo zoomed out, I see the result of the adjustement brush instintaniously during painting. Changes to the exposure etc. is also rendered with no visible delay.
Editing zoomed in to 1:1 is another story. If I use the adjustement brush, I have to wait about 3 seconds for anything tho happen after I made the first stroke. After that, the delay is reduced to about half a second. L3 does record the movement of the mouse correctly, but the update is much slower than if zoomed out. Changing the exposure dial is also rendered with about half a second delay. Therefore I try to do as many edits zoomed out as possible.
Looking at the memory consumption after a couple of hours of work, it seems that L3 needs several GBytes of RAM to be happy. When I close L3, about 3 GBytes are freed.
Hope this can be of some help. Questions and Comments are wellcome.
    Best regards,
    Bengt

Setting Lightroom's preview size to larger than screen resolution is guaranteed to slow things down. I have a dual monitor system whith Lightroom showing the loupe on one screen and the grid on the other. The screen sizes are 1920x1080 and 2560x1440. Following your practice for previews would bring my system to a crawl and I have an entry level workstation. All my previews are of standard 1024x768 in size. The only delays in viewing come when Lightroom is asked to display an image where there is no preview. Once the preview has been created, browsing is near instantaneous.
I beg to differ! The reason is that a preview can be used for any size, which is smaller than that of the preview. Scaling down a preview can be done with little or not loss in quality compared to getting the full resulution and scale that down. Scaling up is not possible.
In your case, you will not use the previews of 1024x768 at all for full screen display. Instead you will force L3 to create bigger previews the first time you open the photo. You could try this by generating the standard previews for new imported photos before you start browsing. Then try to browse. You will probably get the "Loading" message, which indicates that the preview was not used and another one with higher resolution will be made. Then try the same experiment, setting the size of the standard preview to 2048. If, and only if, the size of your display area is not more than 2048 pixels wide and you display a photo in lanscape orientation, you will be able to browse without delay after generating the standard previews.
If I understand your setup correctly, you display the photos in a window of 2560x1440 pixels. I suspect that only 1:1 previews could be used for that. I think Adobe should increase the maximum size of the previews to a value larger than 2048, so that you are not forced to use only the 1:1 previews.
I agree, that when the previews have been generated, browsing is near instantaneous.

  • Lync 2013 not responding

side question: why no Lync 2013 dedicated forum in the options? not even in Office (365)?
We have several computers where the Lync 2013 goes to "not responding" every time you try to do something but also when you leave it alone (only program running according to task manager - just to check it is not crashing ...).
The first computers presenting the symptoms were Dell Precision M4500 laptops (8GB RAM) upgraded to Windows 8.1 several month before the issue started.
Lync started crashing on computer A in the days following a series of updates done on May 28th. Computer B (same hardware, same age) had been offline for a while, was updated on June 13th and Lync started crashing as well.
First suspect: one of the updates common to both computers at the time of the crash
    - kb2768005 security update for MS Office 2013
    - kb2878316 security update for MS Office 2013
    - kb2768016 update for MS Office 2013
    - kb2880462 update for MS Office 2013
    - kb2726952 update for MS Publisher 2013
    - kb2817301 update for MS Visio 2013
    - kb2920189 security update fo MS Windows
    - kb2926765 security update for MS Windows
    - kb2931366 security update for MS Windows
    - kb2956575 update for MS Windows
    - kb2962140 update for MS Windows
    - kb2965065 update for MS Windows
All "suspect" updates have been uninstalled one at a time except for kb2920189 "required by your computer, cannot be uninstalled (windows update standalone updater)" - no improvement
Suspect number two: Bluetooth >> try running Lync with the bluetooth off (and also the wi-fi off) - no improvement
Supsect number three: graphical adapter because the only error in event viewer is related to nvvsvc.exe >> update the driver software of NVIDIA Quadro FX880M - no improvement
At this point, Lync crashes also on computer C (Dell Precision M4400 laptop - 4GB RAM - NVIDIA Quadro FX1700M - no bluetooth).
Deleting the Outlook Profile, launching a repair of Office 2013 and restarting the computer makes no difference.
Tests all done with same user (working fine on other computers).
    Any ideas ? THX

There are almost always a driver issue, but they're not always easy to fix.  I'll often remove the brand-name drivers and let native Windows drivers take over to see if I can make it go away before trying to find the culprit.
You're on the right track though.  Rather than uninstall, see if you can a similar model and update it until you can break it.

  • Adobe Illustrator CS2 v 12.0.1 and Windows 7

We just got new computers for our office (Dell M4500) with Windows 7 and Office 2010.  I re-installed Adobe Illustrator CS2 v 12.0.1 on the machine and today I started it for the first since I re-installed it. Before starting Illustrator, I was going back and forth to different programs using the Windows button + Tab feature that shows the different programs you have open in an oblique way.  Then I started Illustrator and it appeared that my keyboard was not working and the Windows button + Tab feature was not working.  I changed batteries in the keyboard and it fixed the keyboard but not the Windows button + Tab feature.  However, I could still use the Alt + Tab feature to switch between programs!  So I restarted the computer and started a few programs.  Lo and behold the Windows button + Tab feature was working.  Then I started Illustrator and yes, the Windows button + Tab feature was no longer working.  It is enabled again after Illustrator is closed.
Sorry for the long by necessary introduction.  Therefore, my question is - Has anyone else experienced this?  I have also posted this to MS forums.
    thanks,

Please repost in the Illustrator forum. This is a forum about general design questions.

  • Adobe Acrobat X Pro Ver. 10.1.7 rendering issues

    Hello
I have rendering issues with Acrobat X Pro Ver 10.1.7.
When I zoom in to 100% and use the hand tool to move the image around, it moves about 1 inch then it freezes for 3-4 seconds, then I can move it again.  This happens at all zoom %, but it gets worse as I zoom in further.
This gets even worse if I add text callouts and text boxes.
Windows reports the size of the .pdf document at about 700 Kilobytes.
I played with the Preferences - 3D & Multimedia - Rendeiring settings, etc. to no avail.
I have 64 bit Windows 7 Enterprise on a DELL Precision  M4500-I 1.6GHZ CORE I7 QUAD CORE laptop with 8 GB of RAM and a NVIDIA QUADRO FX 1800M with 1 GB of RAM.  I also played with the NVIDIA Control Panel settings to no avail.
This gets very anoying, I need to get work done on these .pdf files and this issue slows me down, and irritates the hell out of me.
I thought my laptop is underpowered, but at this point I tend to believe it is an Acrobat issue.
    Please, any input appreciated.
    Thanks

  • Please Wait While Windows Configures Trusted Drive Manager

Sometimes when I get an email with an attachment and try to open it I get a message that says "Please wait while Windows configures Trusted Drive Manager". It is annoying to see this and I'm not sure how to get rid of the message. Thank you for
    your help.

Thanks for the link.  Software that comes with this computer doesn't have the Dell Protection since it is a work computer.
    Hi,
Both the error message and the event log were all pointing to Trust Drive Manger.
Consider it happened to certain attachments, I suspected that there might be some feature of those attachment triggered this alert, like file type or something. So could please check what
    these attachments had in common.
