M602 setting i/o timeout

Hi
Concerning a HP LaserJet 600 M602x.
Is it possible to set the I/O timeout through any remote session, e.g. web page, telnet or WebJet?
On my HP LaserJet 9050dn it can be done using the web page, but I can for the life of me not find it on the M602.
It's easy to do standing at the printer using the front panel, but with 19 branch offices I'd prefer to do it in the warmth of my own office.
Regards

  • How can I set the blocking timeout on a workstation client?

    Hello.
I want to shorten the time it takes for an invocation of tpcall() to fail with TPETIME.
I've glimpsed how to do this when working within a transaction, but that is not my case, and I couldn't find how to set the blocking timeout. Can anyone help me with this? I'm working with Tuxedo 9.1.
    Thanks in advance.

    Cacho,
Tuxedo 9.1 includes the tpsblktime() API as described at
    http://e-docs.bea.com/tuxedo/tux91/rf3c/rf3c67.htm#2180280 . This API
allows a programmer to set the blocking time for either the next potential
blocking API called by the program or for all subsequent potential blocking
    APIs called by the program.
The Tuxedo administrator can set the global default blocking time by setting
the BLOCKTIME parameter in the *RESOURCES section of the UBBCONFIG file and
    executing tmloadcf.

  • Not able to set the SMTP timeout session on BIPublisherAPI

Any of the below parameters are not taking into effect:

Sorry, what I said was rubbish, because the LSMW and the session run in different external sessions.
I have searched forum for these terms: "company BUK parameter BDC background"
These threads Is it possible to set default company code in SM35? and Release BDC in SM35 in background, How to set defaul company code? seem promising, but I'm not sure they really solve.
In case these threads don't help you, I think you can create your own Z transaction which sets the BUK parameter id and then does a LEAVE TO TRANSACTION 'ABAON'. Then create again the recording on the Z transaction.
If you are using ECC6, then you may also enhance the standard to reset BUK parameter id at the very beginning of ABAON, in case it's run in batch input (sy-binpt = 'X'). Be careful as sometimes SAP does batch input on some transactions, so that could make the standard fail.
Last thing, you can contact SAP support, though it might probably be considered as consulting.

  • Setting Process level Timeout in BPEL

    Hi,
I am Having 2 BPEL (11g) Processes Process1 calls Process2 and Process2 calls one OSB Service.Process2 retries 3 times in case of soap fault.
I want to set the time out in such a way that
    Process1 Timeout>Process2 Timeout >OSB Timeout.
Currently I am facing the issue that Process1 timeouts as process 2 retries.
    Any help would be apreciated.

  • Setting TCP Read timeout value?

How do I choose a timeout value for a TCP read function?
I'm receiving data from a server at a rate which varies between 40 and 140 Hz (normally 120 Hz), there is no handshaking and at any set transmission rate it appears that the network load causes the rate to fluctuate slightly.
All I have been able to do so far is plot a frame number that is received in my data and fiddle with the buffer mode and timeout until I get the least dropouts. At 120Hz 5ms works best with a standard buffer, surprisingly 8ms is poorer.
I am using a producer consumer loop with a queue and some interpolation to make up for the loss of data.
This is very hit and miss so I'm sure there's a proper / better way to do this!

If you are using standard mode, then the read function should return any partial data, but will report an error out.
You may want to look at the functions that you call after the TCP read. I think that the enqueue function will NOT enqueue data if there is an error in.
There is a function you can use to clear TCP timeout errors. You could use this to allow you to enqueue partial data to your consumer loop.
    vi.lib\addons\internet\utils\tcputil.llb\No Time Out Error.vi
Note that it will be up to your consumer code to identify your 'frames' for proper decoding.
Now is the right time to use %^<%Y-%m-%dT%H:%M:%S%3uZ>T
If you don't hate time zones, you're not a real programmer.

  • How to set TCP connection timeout in solaris 9

    Hello All,
I am new to solaris. While using oracle, sometimes I face tcp connection timeout.
The timeout happens after a long delay like more than 8 min. I want to reduce the tcp connection timeout to 2 min in solaris.
Please help me to change this setting.
    My current configuration is

There's a fair amount of tunables. Without known what is timing out (dns, lost packet...), it's hard to say what you want to tweak. The list of parameters can be seen by using ndd:
    ndd /dev/tcp \?
    or
    ndd /dev/ip \?
and can be set by using ndd -set (see ndd(1M) ). Note that anything you set has to be reset on reboot, so you have to stick this in a script somewhere, or know what the variable translates to to stick it into /etc/system.

  • Can we set the query timeout value in a global control place?

    hi everyone,
We use the FullTextSqlQuery class to do query stuff, but we have the query timeout issue, the query sometimes timeout, sometimes is normal.  I know there is a property from Query class called Timeout, and the default
time is 15 seconds, but we have lots of code involving FullTextSqlQuery.
I want to know is there a gloabal place like the web.config or regedit or somewhere to set the timeout value?
    Thanks

Did you ever get an answer?  I'm in the same boat...the only way I can seem to not charge tax to my wholesale clients is to set "tax never applies".  But I got over 300 products...how can I do it "en mass"???
    Anybody??
I tried creating a special tax code at 0% but that didn't do it either.
    thanks in advance,

  • Set HTTP Connection timeout to avoid Deny Of Service attack

    Hi,
Is there a way to set a HTTP Connection timeout in Sun Java Application Server Platform Edition ?
I need this because many clients are holding an HTTP Connection too long on my Application Server causing a Deny Of Service because of file descriptor leak.
    Regards,

    All,
At the application server level, there is a timeout setting in httpd.conf. The default value has been set to 300 seconds.

There is no setting in Firefox for that. You need to change a tcpip parameter in the Registry.

  • How do i set the ConnectionFactory timeout

    Hello
I hope someone can help me to answer my question. I actually need some help to set the timeout period to shorter time when i do lookup in connectionFactory.
Currently It takes about 75 second if there is no connection between my server and client station. After 75 second i can get back the error message. Is there any configuration file to set the timeout period to 20 second? I called using the following code.
    try
    Context ictx = new InitialContext(t);
    String cfStr = System.getProperty("myserver.connectionfactory");
    ConnectionFactory cf = (ConnectionFactory)ictx.lookup(cfStr);
    catch(Exception e)

    Hi,
I'm afraid there is no defined timeout to set as defined by JMS specification.
If one exists with the provider you use, then probably you have to set a System property in your environment or in some file.
The provider I've used so far, (MQ Series, Jonas, JBoss) responds synchronously with an exception when something is wrong.
    Hope this helps.

  • How can I set the lock timeout ???

I got to a point where I needed to increase my initrans since I got an ITL lock ...
I dont know why the database did not return an exception after many hours....
is there any parameter I can set so in case of LOCK it will throw an exception ?
I know I can use "select for update..nowait" or "select for update wait n"...
but that does not help me with UPDATE statements or such ITL deadlocks...
    (using 9.2.0.4)
    Thanx

    Hello nirbasson,
I got to a point where I needed to increase my initrans since I got an ITL lock ...How did you analyze the problem or how did you reproduce it.... because there must be many updates to the same block to get this problem (because of the ITL slots itself and the fill up of the block with the ITL slots if needed)
but that does not help me with UPDATE statements or such ITL deadlocks...If you got an ITL deadlock ... oracle will determine this problem and write a trace file and put an ORA-error into the alert.log ... after that the "problem" will be eliminated by oracle.
If you do an update statement... and another session wants to update the same block.. no.. there is no timeout... besides the 2 sessions are blocking them self. Then a deadlock is triggered and the issue is solved by oracle.
lets say I am doing an update to same record from 2 different sqlplus sessions :
update X set Y=5;Ok but this has nothing to do with an ITL Wait.
    Regards
    Stefan

  • How to set the EJB timeout value??

I made a Swing application connecting with EJB to provide some service. If I set the correct J2EE server IP, everything works fine. However, it will throw an Exception after some time, if I set an incorrect IP. I would like to ask if there is any means to set a timeout value for the Swing application that it throws an exception while it cannot connect to the server after the timeout value.

    Hi,
Amount of time required to call an EJB on a remote server depends on, I would guess, multiple factors, like server performance, network speed, link quality, etc. I'm not sure if there is a direct way of telling the client-side code to wait for results for a limited amount of time, but in general blocking on the client side until the server results are available is not a good idea (at least not from the GUI perspective, since you would be locking the display). Either way, you could make all your EJB calls from a separate thread, and timeout that. This way your client code would have complete control of responsiveness of the server side.
    Just a thought.
    Mark
