M87 Mpower won't boot (on for .5 sec, then off)

I recently recieved my M87 Mpower in the mail and I have been unable to boot. The cpu fan and lights start up for about half a second to a full second, before shutting off.
Parts:
i3-4330
XFX650W 80+ PSU
Gskill Ripjaws 1866mHz 4GB DDR3 - 1 stick
MSI M87 Mpower Mobo.
I have all 3 power cords plugged in, and I am sure that they are correct. The power supply is good, as I have tested it in another computer and it works fine. I have tried running the memory in all 4 slots, and none work. I have tried resetting the CMOS. I have tried it on a non-conductive surface (inside of the box it came in). I am not sure what else to try. I was wondering if anyone else had had this issue and what it meant. Also, I would like to add that there is no dialog display on the Debug LCD, nor is there any system beeps coming from the Speaker.

(I would like to add that i know the M87 is overkill for my current components, it was on really awesome sale, and I have had very good experience with MSI products)

do not mix RAM it will cause problems!
you do not need to use multiple sticks, just use 1 stick for testing (1333MHz stick alone) and see if it will post with just one!
also have you connected the 8 pin power connector?
have you inspected the CPU socket for bent pins?
also try it outside a case on a non conductive surface!

When opening a web page, a blank page about the size of a third of the page appears for a sec then the full page comes up

when I open igoogle or any other website, a mini blank page (about a third of the full screen) appears for a sec then the full page complete with info appears. The blank page displays only mozilla firefox, the next full size shows the complete web site, e.g. google, yahoo, hotmail, etc. The lap top does not do this only the desk computer. This has only started recently. We did up grade our dsl speed but they ATT has assured us that the problem rests with the browser.

Start Firefox in [[Safe Mode]] to check if one of your add-ons is causing your problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Tools > Add-ons > Themes).

I tried to hold the power button for 3 secs. then simultaneously hold the home button for 10 secs. then hold only power button for 20 secs. I tried this several times to no avail. This is my daughter's ipod. I am computer illiterate and I'm not sure what else to try.

Do you have a back up?
If not you're into using file recovery software like File Salvage - you can download a free trial and it will scan the disk for you and tell you with might be recoverable. Actual recovery will require that you purchase the app. There may be many files with the same or similar names. Always recover the largest file size.
There are other such apps. Search on Macupdate or the App Store

Mail opens for 2 secs then closes

this is my 3rd iPhone. i synced yesterday and suddenly i now can't access my emails. all my other apps are fine. but when i select the Mail button its says connecting for about 1 second then dumps me back to my home screen. I've never had a problem with my iphone before. i did another sync but still the same. My emails are getting through to my iPhone cos i can see them for a second but the screen won't stay open for me to select them.

Try resetting your iPhone by pressing the home and sleep buttons until you see the Apple logo, ignoring the slider. Takes about 5-15 secs of button holding and you won't lose any data or settings.

Similar issue -- this is the third time in as many months that I've had to restore my iPad. It's a iPad Mini w/ 32GB (ME277LL/A), running the latest iOS8.1.2. The "other" data starts off about 1GB and will bob around that. I was careful about games this time, seeing only a slight rise in the data. Once it started to rise, I deleted all of the game and the data on Game Center. No joy -- the data stays about the same.
Then I noticed it was really climbing -- shooting up to about 10GB and sitting there, no matter what I did: sync it: nothing. Deleting music (on the off chance it was album art or some such: nothing. Deleted all the books in iBooks: no effect -- still 10GB. Cleared the iCloud storage, cleared caches repeatedly: nothing. Reset everything: no effect. Only Restoring the iPad -- which takes forever and is a gigantic pain in the @$$ -- gets it down. This is exactly the same thing that happened the other two times -- I lose about 10GB to "other."
I now suspect, thinking on what I was doing with the device, that pulling movies from iTunes seems to be the culprit. Deleting the movies might take the movie "off the iPad", but there seems to be a corresponding jump in Other. My guess is there's some glitch dumping the information elsewhere.
It makes a 32GB iPad pretty frickin' close to useless in a remarkable amount of time. I've not had this issue until this iPad (bought last summer) with the iOS8 upgrade. I don't see this happen on the iPhone 5S with the same OS...that's why I dialed down to iTunes (when is it not smack in the middle of issues?) and Video as the culprit; I don't watch movies on the phone.
I've noticed a massive amount of posts in support and around the web on this matter...it might be time for Apple to shift it and do something about the matter. If I'm going to be restricted to surfing the web, email, and little else thanks to the Other issue, it really doesn't make sense to stick with this device. I can doo all that on my laptop, can't it?

I have an AT&T contracted iphone 5. Cannot send mms to anyone but other iPhone users. If you search the Internet, you'll see that the problem is everywhere...both the carriers and Apple are actling like the problem belongs to the other, or feigning any knowledge (which is kind of funny since the no MMS thing was in an ios6 beta that was released awhile ago, so I KNOW apple knows about it). Lagging - Music plays for 5 sec., then stop for 10 sec.???

I bought the AE last week and it worked fine for 2 days, then on a morning, for no particular reason. It started to lag heavily. music will play for 2-5 seconds then stops for another 2-5 second, then play again for 2-5 sec.
I tried everything from restarting AE, upgrade Frameware to 6.2 then downgraded to 6.1, upgraded to itune 5 today, nothing works... it is the very same problem.
I am using a Dlink "B" only wireless router, does it make a different? and why did the AE work for 2 days then started this heavy lagging.

I too have been experiencing the exact same issues. Mine has ran perfectly now for months however. From a terminal prompt if you cd /var/log and look at the system.log file you may find the airport link going down the up again (which would certainly account for lags/outages). The link down and up messages are what I am seeing. Often changing the channel will help as interference from other networks/devices can cause the issue as well. My problem began last Saturday, and continued even after I upgraded the firmware to 6.2. As of right now it is running fine again. A friend mentioned that there was a larger than normal amount of Solar activity that was wreaking havoc with some cell phone coverage recently. It would be interesting if these issues go away in the next week or so. Thoughts?

G4 won't boot up for new Mac user

Hi guys. Brand new to Apple computers as I got a "defective" G4 from my neighbor. He was going to throw it away but I told him I would try to fix it first.
When I power it up, it makes a musical "greeting" power up sound and the monitor goes from dark black (as in "off") to a lighter gray, and then a folder appears in the middle of the screen alternating between a face and a question mark.
Does anyone know what is wrong with this computer so that I can repair it for future use? I am guessing a hard drive malfunction, but do not know for sure. And is it worth fixing? FYI - I do not have any software for this system.

A 160g hard drive would run you about $70, while OS X would run about $120.
It would be great to borrow a copy of the os installation disk and boot from it to see if the computer has further problems. Do you know any other mac users? It would also allow you to see how much ram is in the machine (OS X likes ram) and that may be a further expense if you need more.
What are you going to use the machine for? That's the main question as to how much you should spend to fix the machine up. I don't know if it would be fast enough for you as an everyday computer, but internet use, word processing, ITunes, IPhoto would all work just fine. You won't be doing any gaming or heavy duty video processing.
I'd talk to them at the Apple Store, explain the situation, maybe they might be able to help given the situation. They've got a chance here to nab a new mac user, I'd think that may help your case.

MSI X99S MPOWER won't boot (Debug 00) after installing Transcend 256 M.2 SSD

Hey all, as the subject suggests I bought a new MSI X99S Mpower mobo. I put together a new system with it without any problems using my old SSD. I received a new M.2 SSD (Transcend 256 GB) once I installed it the system would no longer boot. I removed the M.2 SSD and the unit will now still not boot. I power on and the LED just displays 00.

what bios version you are using?
can you list the exact M.2 SSD (Transcend 256 GB) mode/part number?
